Yea. The word translated "children" there in the KJV can also be translated "youth" or "young lads."

So God Can Sin?
I can kill somebody, but I will not.

(By GOD's grace alone, anyway.)

So can He sin like other Men?

Jesus Was fully God But Was in Constant Touch With his Father. grin Who is the Father?
Is it too hard to grasp that Jesus Christ is GOD, but that when He came to earth, He lived lived the life of a man?

Yes, there was the tendency to sin. He was born with the sinful human nature. But He never sinned. He resisted sin in every way.

Is this too hard to grasp? If it is, don't mention me again.

What's this one talking about?

Was jesus Christ a Man or Was he A God?

Oh jesus Now That Was Born to Like every ordinary man will save you From sin? Go up
Christ was fully man when He was on earth. He was also fully GOD.

He clothed His divinity with humanity. He was tempted and tried in any way a man can be, and yet He was without sin(Heb. 4:15). This was not because of the fact that He is GOD(of course He never used His divine power to alleviate His suffering/temptation in any way), but because He constantly was in touch with His Father, drawing the much needed strength for each day from Him(Mark 1:35).

This post reeks of ignorance. Typical of atheist arguments, anyway.

The concept of original sin is not biblical. A child is not born a sinner. Man only inherits sinful nature i.e. tendency to love sin rather than GOD. A baby has no knowledge of sin, and if it dies, it will rest in the grave till our LORD returns when it will go back to its Maker.

Jesus Christ was born too. He was not a sinner. He never sinned. And if birth could impart sin, Jesus would have been a sinner. He can't be one, anyway.

It's just that a human being, left alone, would naturally follow sin. Jesus is there, thankfully, to deliver us from sin, and to set us free from its shackles.

It would really do all these nairaland "atheists" much good if they read the Bible thoroughly and understood it, before coming to present intellectually nauseating arguments.

Somebody once said atheists recycle arguments. I think it's obvious.

First of all, someone stabbed in the back and his money and atm cards taken could be a suicide?, Really?

Secondly, which exact flaws are associated with dating methods? What i have noticed is that theists would make up anything just to counter reality

Third, even if the dating methods are flawed, atleast it makes an attempt to use experiments and measurement to accurately predict the age of the earth!, whats your alternative?, the word of some goat herders that lived over 2000years ago who ddnt even know the earth revolved around the sun and thought stars were just dots in the sky, really, dude?
I'm not here to educate you. You can actually be better off reading about the flaws associated with dating methods, and the multiple assumptions upon which these dating processes are based.

They are there on the internet.
Christianity Etc › Re: "If You Believe The Earth Is 6000 Years Old Then You Deny Science" by DoctorAlien(m): 5:23pm On Oct 24, 2016
The story of evolution and the 4-billion-year age of the earth is as ridiculous as the thinking capacity of those who still believe such a story, even after being presented with the considerable flaws associated with the dating methods, and the multiple assumptions on which such fables are based.

On the crime scene fact-data-evidence story, remember that a suicide can perfectly resemble a murder, and that many innocent people have been incarcerated based on the conclusions reached by "infallible" crime detectors.

Atheist logic:

I don't believe what someone who was there 2000 years ago said happened then.

I believe what someone who is alive now said happened 13.8 billion years ago.

Makes perfect sense.

I was flowing until I got to the point where you said some prophecies would be fulfilled after the rapture. A careful study of the Bible will reveal that nobody will remain on earth after rapture: the saints will go up with Christ while the wicked are slain by the brightness of His coming(2 Thess. 2:8 ).

Also, let us be wary of date-setting. "...But of that day and hour knoweth no man..." (Matt. 24:36).

A little--I mean, a little research will just expose the many illogical and reason-contradicting deceptions and lies in modern Physics.

Just a little.

You owe it to yourself to make sure that in trying to find out the "truth", you don't get lied to.

Let me give you a tip: with little/minimal Math/Physics skill, you can quickly decipher that any type of motion whatsoever is not possible in 4D spacetime, which has time as a fourth dimension. Yet, "scientists" keep propagating the lie that the universe is most correctly viewed as spacetime.

Pathetic.

Continue in your delusion but leave science alone. How easily you doubt the procedures that led to the device you now use to campaign for your non existent God, that led to most of the basic amenities you enjoy today.
I spotted about two logical fallacies in your post:

1. Argumentum ad hominem

2. Argumentum ad verecundiam

There could be more.

I wonder why you think that Christians are anti-science. For the records, I'm a scientist.

There is a difference between science and speculation! Let me shock you: most of the things you know about science might actually be fairytales enshrouded in a cacophony of grandiloquence.

And oh, brother, the idea behind ICT today is not that nothing exploded 13.8 billion years ago, neither is it that a bacterium suddenly became a dog and then dinosaurs! nor is it that spacetime became curved by dark matter which nobody has seen!

The idea behind ICT is science.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Existence Of A Conscious Watchman (a Discussion) by DoctorAlien(m): 9:44pm On Oct 19, 2016
ValentineMary,

A whole lot is wrong with modern science. The whole idea of dark matter exists because it is assumed that the spacetime is a geniune proposition. Please follow this link to find out that the idea of spacetime is a hoax that not only needs to be immediately retired, but also raises questions about the veracity of what most people hold as "truth" today, supposedly from the stables of science.

ValentineMary:
No body has observed dark matter but we can tell it's density by how much it bends space time around it and it's gravitational influence on ordinary matter.

But if we are not to be skeptic about it, how can we deduce its authenticity? and if it is not to be empirically deduced, on what basis is it true?
My brother, this is the same argument religious people present; just with the terms changed viz: You cannot see GOD but you can tell whether or not He is present in a life by observing what fruits the person yields.

You accuse religious people of having faith in an unseen GOD? You are guilty of having faith in an unseen phenomenon too.

I would tell you to rather sift everything you hear from "scientists" and reason with your own head. A lot faith is exercised today even in the camp of those who label themselves as empiricists.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Existence Of A Conscious Watchman (a Discussion) by DoctorAlien(m): 9:10pm On Oct 19, 2016
ValentineMary:
There are effects in the quantum world with no known cause. Eg quantum entanglement, quantum tunneling, etc. They just happen.
That the cause is not known does not mean it doesn't have a cause. Ancient people once thought that many diseases which are caused by microorganisms didn't have a cause. We know better today.

To hold that a phenomenon such as an uncaused action is true, which not only violates logic, but also nauseates any rational mind, will be to acknowledge reason-contradicting claims: the same crime of which you accuse religious people.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Existence Of A Conscious Watchman (a Discussion) by DoctorAlien(m): 12:43pm On Oct 19, 2016
ValentineMary:
The argument of a first cause has been used a lot by theologians but modern science has shown that we can have reactions without actions especially in the quantum world where classical mechanics break down.
Can you show me a reaction that does not have a cause?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Existence Of A Conscious Watchman (a Discussion) by DoctorAlien(m): 12:40pm On Oct 19, 2016
ValentineMary:
There were somethings in science that were once thought impossible to deduce eg the amount of Dark matter but by ingenuous methods we have actually unlocked those. By using already laid down procedures by our predecessors.
Now in the field of religion is there no way we can deducd the existence of this watchman people so claim with analytical method as laid down by predecessors ?
I'm pleased to inform you that nobody has ever observed dark matter. They only speculate about its properties. Suffice it to say that the whole notion of dark matter and dark energy was invented to explain certain phenomena which the whole matter-energy in the universe could not account for.

Religion is different from science, and religion ceases to be religion when you decided to apply skeptical empiricism to it.

The early Christians did it bkus Christ has not died

Matthew 28:18-20
18Jesus approached and, [a]breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

19Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them [b]into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you [c]all the days ([d]perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. [e]Amen (so let it be).

Jesus ask us to baptize dem in d name of the father , son and holy spirit and not water

How do u get baptize by holy spirit.......it is by speaking in tongue

baptism by water is not a criteria........Jesus has paid it all........it is not d water dat u re dipped into dat will cleanse u
No dear. Christians baptized even after Christ's death. Read the Bible well.
