Ok, tell me what's going on here is a joke... I ate spaghetti yesternight and now i'm waking up to seeing somebody worship spaghetti.

Wait which do u worship actually, is it Fresh boiled Spaghetti or Spaghetti jollof or Spaghetti with tomato sauce...
LOL. They have been around for a while now, bro. It isn't hard to see that this is yet another jibe at the worship of the true GOD, Jehovah.

I think it's amusing watching them make futile attempts at ridiculing us out of the worship of the only true GOD, Jehovah. smiley

I can see you didn't mention any NT Scripture.

Dropping Bible books helps no one. what so they say? post them out.

Anyway, I intentionally provided only OT verses to show him that the destruction of the wicked with an eternal fire is not only recorded in the NT, but also in the OT.

Boss, reason says they aren't lost. But will that not imply that Jesus is not the only way to the father?
Am I missing something?
Good evening sister. smiley

JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER!

That is evident throughout the Bible. But did you know that GOD the Son was never known as "Jesus" in the OT? Gabriel was the one who first proclaimed the Name "Jesus."

GOD the Son in the OT was known as the Seed, Redeemer, Son, Emmanuel.

All the OT saints, through obedience to GOD(which Christ requires: Matt. 7:21), and through sacrificial killings, exercised faith in the Great Substitute that was to come. They had an idea that the slaughter of lambs for the remission of sins signified that a Person would be sacrificed for their sins. Thus, through practicing sacrifices, they identified with Christ's great Sacrifice, and thus went to the Father through Christ.

Even a Person comes to Christ, He commands him to obey(Matt. 19:17). Those who obey then are saved.

Going by many comments here it seems many Christians want more people in hell than the devil himself. How someone would say babies would go to hell and be tormented for eternity and still claim to worship God is honestly beyond me. What does the devil do again?
God did not give up His only begotten Son to save the world from Himself. This is the perception many Christians have about God and is expressed here on this thread.
Doctrinal and theological precision cannot be overemphasised.
Amen!

Thank you so much brother. You have said it all.

Nobody who has come to understand Jehovah and His real character will be an atheist.

The just judgment of GOD is founded on statements like this:

"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.(James 4:17).

The thing is: did you know? If you knew that avoiding a thing is good, and you refuse to do so, TO YOU it is a sin. It follows then that the same act of not avoiding that same thing is not a sin to the person that never knew and had no way of knowing.

Is it that you lack understanding or what? The verse you quoted talks about Creation being a testimony to all men that there is a GOD who created.

Many people have never heard of Christ. Many never heard of Christ. But by their nature, they did those things which are contained in the law of GOD. They knew it was not good to kill, steal, cheat, lie, fornicate, and they did not do those things. What now is their position since they never came to know Jesus, and had no way of knowing Him? Are they lost?

Even reason will answer you.

The problem I have with "atheists" on Nairaland is that most of them will blatantly ignore the explanation you give, and then repeat that same question, maybe with different words.

Is it hard to understand that children who died before they could know any difference between good and evil will be in Heaven?

Is it hard to understand that the very nature of GOD is justice, and that no one will be wronged in any way in the judgment?

About the mad man: what made him mad? Did he have a knowledge of Christ before becoming mad? Did people warn him to abstain from any habit that could lead him to madness? Or did even have any intimation that the thing that got him mad would do so? Could he have been mad living his life the right way?

All these questions would be incorporated in the judgment.

How will the OT saints be saved since they did not know "Jesus"?
Christianity Etc › Re: Angry With God Becos He Created Hellfire? by DoctorAlien(m): 3:14pm On Nov 03, 2016
adoyi8,

GOD is just.

Ignorant people will be in Heaven. However, who is ignorant? He is the person who meets these two conditions:

1. He did not know.

2. He had no way of knowing.

I ask my question again:

If the students who missed the test bump into the lecturer's office and, without even being asked, correctly recite all the knowledge which the lecturer imparted to them; have they passed the lecturer's test or not?

Pastafarians,

You said "hell" cannot be found in the OT. I proved you wrong.

We may only continue to discuss if you have read and digested the piece on the link I gave you.

My thoughts and submissions on the topic of hell are fully contained in that piece.

Thank you.

You said God is just and ignorant people will go to heaven. Imagine your lecturer sets a difficult test which you took and 70% of those that took the test fail it. Now lets say there were some students that were not aware of the test(thereby not taking it) and your lecturer decides to pass these students because they were 'ignorant' of the test, Will you say he was just?
Your analogy is poorly constructed, and does not even remotely mirror the relationship between GOD and man.

First, why were they not aware of the test? Because they missed school? Is a student supposed to miss school? Even if the reason is cogent enough, the lecturer can decide to make them sit for the test.

Now, let me ask you: what if the students who missed the test enter the lecturer's office and without being asked, correctly recite the whole(or an appreciable quantity of the) knowledge which the lecturer imparted to them? Have they technically passed the test which others took or not?

Pastafarians:
Hell was never mention in the OT but Fire was. Abi isn't Yahweh the Consuming Fire?
But this are not the same thing they are different.

Hell is a location a place and in that place there is fire that Burns forever where people would be punished forever The OT never mentioned This if it was that important the OT would have mentioned it

which is why the Jew don't ascribe to The Christian myth.

The OT only talked about Sheol which is the Realm of the Dead....
1. You are wrong because hell was mentioned in Proverbs 23:14; Psa. 9:17; Job 11:8; Prov. 15:11.

2. While you might be right that hell will be in a definite place, I'm sure you have the wrong notion about its nature, and when it will be.

Do well to follow that link I gave you. You can hardly have any question about hell and its nature after reading through that piece.
Christianity Etc › Re: Angry With God Becos He Created Hellfire? by DoctorAlien(m): 1:08pm On Nov 03, 2016
Pastafarians,

Unless you hold that the NT is not in harmony with the OT, it is clear that we are to consult the whole of the Bible to get a clearer picture of what hell is. And indeed the Bible cannot be mistaken on what it teaches on that topic. I urge you to follow this link to get a 100% biblical exposition on the issue of hell.

GOD bless you.

I don't know where you got this Reference from got questions?

Hell fire is a Place The same way with Hades Of course Yahweh can destroy with fire according to the Bible but it is not as The OT described it We all know the Job of Fire Naturally is to destroy... Fire used in the OT was never a Place.
It will do us all good if you back your claims with Scripture.

Where is hellfire?

GOD is Just.

Ignorant people will go to Heaven. However, before you can be ignorant in the sight of GOD, you must make two claims truthfully:

1. I did not know.

2. I had no way of knowing.
Christianity Etc › Re: Angry With God Becos He Created Hellfire? by DoctorAlien(m): 12:32pm On Nov 03, 2016
Pastafarians,

While the word "hellfire" might not be found in the Bible, it is thoroughly evident in the Bible that GOD will destroy and annihilate sin, sinners and Satan with fire, in that Great Day.This is the "wages of sin" and it is death.

See Psa. 11:6; Isa. 34:8,9; Isa. 47:14; Psa. 37:20; Psa. 21:9; Psa. 37:10,38; Psa. 68:2; Psa. 104:35; Psa. 145:20; Mal. 4:1; Job 15:34.

How to present arguments about the Bible as an atheist:

1. Look for a very self-explanatory verse in the Bible.

2. When you have found it, interprete it to mean the most ridiculous thing conceivable.

3. Then ask useless questions about that interpretation.

OR.

1. Assume you know the Bible(even if you've never read a single book of it.)

2. Say what you think the Bible teaches.

3. Then question that thing you said.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Asymmetric Nature Of The Christian Sin Economy by DoctorAlien(m): 10:23am On Nov 03, 2016
For the benefit of those who are ready to learn,

All throughout the old testament, men went to GOD through Jesus Christ. The sacrifices and the offerings, the killing of lambs and goats, all pointed to Christ, the Lamb of GOD which would be slaughtered for the sins of the world. Men recognized that a substitute must take away their condemnation, and with each lamb slaughtered, they reaffirmed their faith in the coming Redeemer who would deliver them from the power of sin(Job 19:25).

what happened to no one comes to the father except through me(belief)?
grin Atheists and their puerile logic.

Anyway, let me enlighten you.

Yes Jesus Christ is the only Name given by which men may be saved. However, have you thought of the Patriachs and the Old Testament saints? Did they call on the name of Jesus?

The answer is No and also Yes. While they did not literally call on the name of Jesus(of course GOD the Son was not known as Jesus in the OT), they worshipped Jesus. Jesus Christ is the GOD of the Old Testament. He is the One who appeared to Moses in the burning bush and proclaimed Himself "I AM"(Jn. 8:58). He was the same GOD who came down on Mount Sinai, amidst earthquakes and thunderings, and spoke the eternal 10 Commandments(Jn. 14:15).

Some people who have no knowledge of Christ instinctively obey Christ, and as such, they will be saved(See Rom. 2:14-16. Compare Matt. 7:21).
