MorataFC:7 minutes plus three minutes in injury time..Lol |
When you say study medicine you are referring to medical doctors who are licensed to prescribe drugs, simply put. Pharmacologist on the other hand could be medical doctors with advanced speciality knowledge on how to produce drugs. To be permitted to sell drugs you need to be a registered Pharmacist. However since regulations aren't followed to the letter in many developing countries, chains of medicine sales point otherwise known as Chemist shop, dispense and sell medications they are not required to. |
Traditional Birth Attendants might sound like a primitive practice in 2024 but across the globe the play a vital role especially in rural settings where many can't afford or have access to modern healthcare services. Many Traditional Birth Attendants, often herbalists are knowledgeable on the basics of modern healthcare and childbirth. At such their patients in most cases get to benefit from time honoured herbs that reduces the burden of pregnancy and childbirth |
Traditional medicine if properly regulated and modernised has the potential to bring worthwhile benefits to the population. The importance of natural compounds as candidates for innovative drugs is gaining traction even in the scientific sphere cos the posses a chemical diversity unmatched by any synthetic chemical collection. The can posses bi and tri dimensional complex structures yet be capable of being absorbed and metabolised by the body. Reputable work by time honoured traditional practitioners can serve as a blue print for modern herbal drugs. Take the case of Niprisan, an innovative medicine for Sickle Cell anemia that was developed in Nigeria from the blue print of traditional doctors. Scientists at the National Pharmaceutical Institute for Research pieced together pepper seeds, clove flower buds, caprium stem and sorghum leaves, ingredients used by Traditional doctors to treat Sickle Cell across Nigeria. Consequently they were able to fine tune these ingredients into a standardised effective and safe herbal drug for Sickle Cell Disease |

Beuberry:You are empty, very empty...True they say about empty vessels..... |
epainos:Last year social media was awash with evidential audios of Eto'o match fixing to propel the second division team of a protège to the first division ranks. That was in the midst severe infightings at the first division league that led to 10 team Presidents withdrawing their support of Eto'o. His supporters say he is trying to rid the Cameroonian football scene of the usual corruption. His critics say he wants go be in control of every sector with heavy handed mismanagement, ego and pride |
royalnose:There is no denying |
sterlingD:He is part of the squad. He suffered a late stage injury |
Beuberry:Grow up and be able to make a point without insults, it might definitely come in handy someday |
bobonla:Although I have only been to Mamfe once I am from the Mamfe area, precisely Kembong. The fear of being kidnapped by those bad boys prevented me from making it to my father's memorial service last year. I have got an accent that should have made me a soft target. That's how bad things have become |
akwesenana:Mbeumo is severely injured and hasn't played several matches for his team Brentford. Abubakar is amongst those called up, but injured too. |
epainos:Definitely though not in terms of looting funds but décisions as to who plays or not according to his ego. |
bobonla:Wow...Only recently did I learn Junior Pope of Nollywood grew up in Bamenda too. The seccesionist crisis has brought much of the anglophone regions to its kneels. Although things have considerably improved most interior villages are in pieces. Limbe and Buea are the only two anglophone towns with near normal activities. It's no longer a war against the government, but one of banga smokers against the population. Like Tracy Chapman sang, this is what you get when you give a boy a gun. |
akwesenana:Gone are the days of Cameroon's China Wall Defense. The likes of Song (Present coach), Kunde Emmanuel, Francois Omam-Biyik, Matip, etc..These days we are just struggling with both defense and goalies, not like the attack is any better😰 |
Esinwaju:Don't be a sore loser😅..Are you an obedient?😅😅 |
christopheojo:You are right. The Legendary Patrick Mboma was at his best. A shame he retired early from football. That said it was Eto'o who opened score at the 26th minute. Even Mboma's goal at the 31st minute was from an assist from Eto'o. |
akwesenana:Na Cameroon players di defend for Manchester United? Onana ei good days are over.. |
BolaAThubv:I wouldn't want to go into stats that include friendlies that for the most part are without quality players from both teams. Nigeria lost the title thrice to Cameroon. That's enough for me |
epainos:I wouldn't say Cameroon's weak showing is borne of looting at the federation. Badluck with injuries for some star players, unnecessary infightings at the federation and most especially the inexperienced coaching from Song are to blame. Many surmise Song was singlehandedly put by Eto'o just so he too could have the biggest stake at how the squad is managed. I think it is Eto'o who really decides who plays or is called to the squad. |
Angelfrost:He has been replaced with the second goalie Fabrice Ondoua. I miss the good old days of quality goalies. The likes of Alioum who went through the AFCON 2002 without conceding. Cameroon has produced some of the finest goalies in Africa. Thomas Nkono, Antoine Bell, Jacques Songo'o, Alioum Mbouka, Idriss Kameni etc. Let me ask the gods if Onana should make the list 😅😅 |
bobonla:😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 What do you expect 😅😅. Patriotism..I know alot of Nigerians who were born in Cameroon who would support the Nigerian squad anytime anyday when battling with Cameroon. The dilemma though is for those born to a Nigerian/Cameroonian parent😅😅 |
Samunique:Judging from the group stages, Cape Verde and Senegal come across as the biggest favourites. However this is football. Argentina had a troubling start in Qatar 2022, losing 2-1 to underdogs Saudi Arabia. Yet they moved on to grab the golden cup. Although the gods are still silent whoever is destined to win shall win😅 |
Samunique:😅😅😅😅 Despite Nigeria's 7 point finish their squad is definitely below average. I can't say the Cameroonian side is any better. Saturday wouldn't be a clash of the Titans like we had in February 2000 where both JJ and Eto'o were at their prime on opposing sides. However with history on our side I see the super eagles returning on an Air Peace flight come Sunday evening😅 |
chiefolododo:Isn't it obvious😅... |
Samunique:Waiting...... |
Back here in Cameroon we do admit this is not our greatest squad. We are certainly missing some good finishers like Tchopuo-Moting, Abubakar Vincent and Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford for injury. That said Cameroon's ability to quickly turn things around in the face of threat is its biggest strength. Take the match against Algeria. A return leg qualifying match to Qatar. Officially out, Cameroon would score at the last minute of prolongation time to seal a Qatar 2022 spot. Needless to mention the Algerians still have not recovered from that defeat. 😅😅 Then again 3-0 down against Burkina Faso during the AFCON classification match in Cameroon last year. The Indomitable Lions would move to score three goals within 15 minutes to consequently win the third place spot. Most Cameroonians generally accept our team is capable of pulling surprises and offsets even at their worst. In 2010 and 2017 against all odds as outsiders we moved to play the finals against Egypt, consequently clinching our fifth star in the latter. Despite now being at our weakest 40 years after winning in Cote D'ivoire with a Legendary squad that comprised the likes of Roger Mila, Abega Théophile, Thomas Nkono etc, many Cameroonians are routing for a Déjà Vu at the expense of the Nigerian squad.. 😅Good a thing we finally have the basket Andre Onana at the bench where he truly belongs.😅 I can bet it is a 3-1 on Saturday in favour of the Lions..Where Eagle take power to fight Lion?😅😅 |
