yeah u can get a line to use at pay as you go shops and its like 70 dollars but after that its 50 dollars every month payment, as per for the cna course you need to wait for your green card and your social security card to start the course...

my younger sis won the lottery for 2014 through an agent, we have collected the details we need from him but he used her wrong date of birth and place of birth. she already has an int'l passport so we are thinkin of redoing a new passport for her.
the issue here is that her fiancee wants to do traditional marriage and court marriage go they can go as a couple, but am looking at the possibilities of it working out at the interview because the dates of marriage will be after she should have submitted the forms back to KCC cos they are about fill the form. so house your advice is reallyu needed here. should she fill the form as single and they proceed with their marriage plans or should she just do everything as single applicant and let her fiancee will follow her on a later date.

na wa oh s na now the guy know sey she is ripe for marriage, if the guy love her let her continue as single then after the interview when she gets the visa they can now marry then she would file for him later.. as per changing her passport what are the date of birth on her ssce result, she can sworn an affidavit to show her real age and and when questioned by the co she can say she wasn't the person that did the lottery that it was an agent that did it for her....

missbelle: thank you so much for the reply, but how long does the GC take to arrive because the immigration officer at the airport told me 4 months. does that mean i have to be idle till my GC comes in. thanks as i await reply.

@missbelle GC will only take 2 weeks to arrive here in new york where i stay, but i advice to ask your host to direct you to where u can do your SSN.. you dont need to wait for your GC to do that..

daddykelly: hello my fellow nairalanders,i thank God for my life and for safe trip.i left naija on friday around 8:50 via emirate to dubai for more than 7 hours then another flight to los angeles which lasted for more than 16 hours.my host picked me up from the airport....mehn america is such a beautiful place,though am still sufferinng from jet lag.i went to apply for my ssn today,and am getting in 7-10 working days,am feling sleepy already av to go now.later

Yeah u can use your neco if u have all the credit including math and English. I used my neco during my interview, well before my interview I went to neco office to collect my certificate and that's what I presented to the CO during my interview. Wish u all the best.

U can call them next week or give them two weeks before calling them on phone, or u can mail them after two weeks in the mail u will state ur case number, birth date, and name then ask them what u are requiring from them! All the best!

Faozan: one of my neighbor register as single while he was married then, and filled DS 230 Parts I & II forms as married without reducing the date, because they have a child already b4 DV entry then, saying than He want the child to be eligible that He don't want to leave the Child, if not it he would have reduce the wedding date and go with her wife. his asking on what to do in other not to miss dis 1ce in a life opportunity because he have already sent his form to KCC

It's better for him to continue as single and when he gets to USA he can now file for his wife and son, because the chances of him getting the visa now married is thin! This is opportunity of a life time oh! Don't miss it oh

DemolaNg: @ALL: Join me give Glory to GOD. On April 16, I got to the interview timely with my family of four, as early as 6.20am before the 7am appointment were called to queue up. All protocol observed.

With the knowledge gathered on Nairaland, all documents were well arranged with photocopies of each and questions answered. Even the complain of the laminated NYSC certificate was tackled.

But to my surprise, despite the fact that my two kids were all around me, the CO requested for the pictures of my babies at Birth, shortly after birth or of their mum in their pregnancy, which was not among the album we went with. At that point we were given a form to request for another appointment date when we have them ready for presentation.

April 24 was eventually given to present them, so I went with the pictures taking at the naming ceremony,with the wall framed pictures of my family. Within 2 minutes of the assessment of the pictures, we were granted the Pick up date and venue for the VISA.

nope to my caculation it would expire in september because medical is for 6 months so u can caculate it

enter a bus going to Ajah then drop at maruwa bu stop then cross to outside then enter the estate gate then the second building show them the A4 paper given to u by the embassy, but before going please do photocopy of your ID card or any Identity card along with you!! because u will be asked to drop the photocopy

u have to travel before your visa expires, most expecially before your medical expires because your visa might not expire until September and your medicals expires in august so u have to travel before your medical expires or-else you would do another medical when u get there!!!

daddykelly: yea am relaxed now,my oga @ the top(God) has done it..i moved yesterday evening from okota to onikan in order not to miss the interview...i passed through hell because the guy i was directed to don't even have a wrapper not to talk of carpet or mattrass to sleep on,while i dey sleep 4 under air condition 4 my uncle house @ okota....i have to borrow wrapper from his neigbour because there is no way i can go back to okota @ that time,so i endured.
I woke up around 3:13am because i was nt comfortable,started browsing(if u check u'll see my post around 3:33am).
I arrived @ the embassy like 15 minutes to 5(i was the 1st person there),waited until 6:00am a police man came and scanned us.later we were told to line up(i was no3 in immigrant queue).submitted 2nl only and passed through security checks(very tight).
Paid my dv fee 330 dollars(i paid in dollars) @ window 22.
Later called to submit my documents @ window 17.
After 5 interviews i was called to window 14(a cute white guy),he dint even tell me i just put my hanh there take finger print,the interview went thus:

there is nothing wrong about since on her school certificate its her maiden name on it! and your wedding certificate will cover it all! i believe you are good to go!! please house your contributions too!!!!!

ogbonlowob: Gd morn house mates! My sister n d husband called me to say that their interview went well. The consular officer asked the husband for his medical, but he told the consular officer that his medical will be ready in 2 weeks time. The CO then gave them a white paper n returned their int. passport to them asking them to submit their int passport together with the medicals (when it is ready). He asked them to submit it at either of the Lekki or Ikeja. The choice is theirs to make. The question they are asking now is dis: which of the GSS centre is better to submit their int passport to? From the past posts I read, everyone keeps talking about only Lekki. Pls house, someone should kindly answer or respond to which of the centres is more reliable or won't cause delays like how they delayed Gentiger. Thanks!

better still they should submit it at the GSS at lekki since thats where everyone is collecting their visa and the brown envelop...

if you want to travel using qatar airline, log on to their website www.qatarairway.com.... and fill your name and date of birth then u print out ur notification. and go to their office with your cash at international airport with your passport to book your flights......

ferdimako: Yep.I did for someone this week. Just go to their site, type in the flight origin and destination. It will reveal different airliners and prices, choose the one you want based on ur economy and comfort, use ur debit card to pay. But before u pay, call them, they will ask u to attach ur biodata page and visa page, then u go ahead with the booking and payment. Send the confirmation page to them via e-mail oh. After a while they will send in ur flight ticket and that is it.
