Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan: Hero Of Modern Democracy by Dollyak(f): 8:35pm On May 29, 2015 |
Firefire: Nigerians shall be grateful to the administration of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan.
- He signed the Freedom of Information bill that give express freedom and liberty to information the citizens can have. o We now know how much the feeding allocation is in Aso Rock o How many Jet/Jets to be added to the Presidential fleet o How the government budget on each sector looks like and the breakdown
- He gives us a Free and Fair election without interference o Nigerians can now vote and expect their vote to count o We now see ONE MAN, ONE WOMAN, ONE YOUTH, ONE VOTE! o Glad to see fellow Nigerians rushing to CHANGE their TVC to PVC o Express rigging and ballot boxes snatching reduced drastically o Cases of Political Hired Assassins not mentioned in his era.
- Peaceful transition and conceding of loss o No blood was shed for his ambition o He lost and accept defeat gallantly
Despite the hate, he return it with smile.
Despite the accusation of keeping snipers, he still ignored the accusation.
Now, he has left...
Nothing that has a beginning without an END.
Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, we shall miss you.

Onegai: Get out of that house, take your siblings with you.
Get out of that house, take your siblings with you.
Get out of that house, take your siblings with you.
You will never beg your father enough. This is not your fault or your mother's fault. He has been doing this since you were young, so why do you think it is still your mum's fault or your fault?
Some men and women have demons that you cannot fix. You are not supposed to fix them, stay away. An abusive person doesn't change because of any prayers. I know too many women and men in your situation, you staying there will help nothing, think of your siblings and think what your mum has taught them that it is acceptable.
Everyone has a temper but abusive people justify their lack of control, weakness and need to hurt people with that fact. It is not normal.
Leave that house or bury someone in the future. And btw, children from abusive homes never come out right without help. Better a separated home than an abusive home. Thanks. You've said my mind. |

My opinion of him is a man out of his depth. The 4 years he served as Nigeria's civilian President were nightmarish and can best be described as "government of the living dead". How will the future remember him? Inordinate and blind ambition, lack of direction layered with a non charismatic leadership. |

Realconfo: The problem with Nigeria is forced integration, the tribes in Nigeria never wanted to be together, but they were forced to be together and their battle for supremacy is toxic and childish. The North,SE and SS have had secessionist movement for years and the SW is just waking up to how truly unstable Nigeria is, so they are allowing the extreme prejudice they have kept under wraps come out in full force, All the tribes in Nigeria are guilty of tribalism (Yorubas revere Awolowo and see Ojukwu as the aggressor, Igbos revere Ojukwu and see Awolowo as the evil one, All the Nations that supported Nigeria during the civil blamed Ojukwu for starvation, The one's who supported Biafra blamed Awolowo for starvation, so all the sides involved picked the one that show them in the best light). Nigerian government did not help matters by sweeping the war under the rug and not discussing it, the fact there is so much conflicting stories about the war is also an issue. Look at the German Holocaust the issue is straight forward ( the Nazis were at fault). I actually read an article from a Northerner where he wrote about how SW and SE hatred for each-other is beneficial to other regions and he was right. Nigeria will disintegrate eventually, may be not in 10 years or 20 years but it will happen, People have marinated in prejudice and hatred for so long for it not to happen. Sorry about your situation. Depressing, but thanks for that explanation |

I criticise all governors, obviously Akpabio is performing a lot better than the stupid osun guy. Just like I am not satisfied with Lagos, I also want more to be done in Akwa IBom. NewNigeriaMind: I am sure you dad will be different when he knows the true mind of the other tribes around him.
Most importantly, what is wrong with praying for yoruba leaders. Pls what is wrong with my comment.
I will appreciate if you can tell me what is wrong with saying God should support yoruba leaders to govern yoruba land correctly To be fair, there was nothing wrong with it and I am sorry about that. I hope you can sympathise that I am caught in the middle of it all, and I just want a united country. In this high tension period, I would've preferred a prayer that includes all, but still there was nothing wrong with what you said. |
