If someone told me I would have said for where. This year the LORD embarassed me financially, he took me to another level in the area of giving, followed by promotion. I have rest on every side, my siblings are doing fantastially well, next year I am getting married to my sweetheart. OWESE O. |
HI PEEPS SOME OF MY STOCKS HAVE DECLARED DIVIDENDS BUT I HAVE NOT SEEN THE BRAKELIGHT OF ANYTHING BEING SENT TO ME. I AM NOT CURRENTLY IN NAIJA SO HOW DOES IT WORK (NOTE THE SHARES WERE NOT BOUGHT DURING PO) Why Na? No one is answering my question |

ololufemi:Yep, went to Queen's School, left ages ago dollyp1cute:ANY TAKERS ON MY QUESTION ABOVE easimoni:Easimoni, you forget that the market is thin at the moment as folks have started to decamp to their village plus there are many other juicy offers so folks may not be rushing for FCMB. Naija investors are also getting sophisticated with the so called "strategy". |

OH DEAR I WISH I COULD BE YOUNG AGAIN JUST SOME MORE ADDITION: YOU COLLECT SO MUCH MONEY FROM ALL THE UNCLES AND AUNTIES BUT YOUR MUM TAKES MOST OF IT TO "KEEP FOR YOU" AND NEVER GIVE IT BACK , ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES YOU GET LUCKY AND SHE FORGETS TO COLLECT.YOU ALSO YOU ![]() |
debosky:LMAO ![]() Also drive spiritual monument and wear spiritual monument. @Khaikhai you are just BITTER that you were not given the building contract nor get to be in the news for owning a building like that. |
It depends on you and the girl you marry. If you are IBB's son and you marry Nafisa Yaradua then you prolly need N1.2m a month If you are baba ajasco's son and you marry Sikira omo oni iresi you can survive on N12k a month. ![]() |
1boi:I AM NOT BLIND BUT STATING THE FACT. YOU MAY SAY IT HAS BEEN SQUANDERED, VANDALISED, BASTARDISED, SABOTAGED. BUT IT EXISTS UP UNTIL RECENTLY WE WERE SUPPLYING ELECTRICITY TO NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES YET WE WERE SUFFERING FROM POWER FAILURE. WE HAVE AMPLE PETROL YET SUFFER FROM SCARCITY - YOU GET THE DRIFT? THE PROBLEM OF NIGERIA IS NOT MONEY BUT MISMANAGEMENT. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH LOAN WE INCURRED FROM THE WORLD BANK YET IMPROVEMENTS WERE NON EXISTENT UNTIL SOME SMALL RECENT CHANGES. IF TODAY RCCG DONATES THE MONEY TO THE GOVERNMENT TO FIX THIS SO CALL BASIC AMENITIES BE SURE IT WILL DISAPPEAR. I WILL NOT COMMENT ON THE LAST STATEMENT, LIKE YOU SAID "A RAPPER SAID IT" |
1boi:@1boi I already mentioned Solomon's temple. Jesus went to worship in a Temple. There is no doubt about the many souls won through RCCG There is no doubt about the many outreaches and missions to the poor being carried out by RCCG. We do not need basic facilities in Nigeria we already have them. What we need is good leaders who have integrity who will not siphon the countries resources to foreign land. |
Seun:@Seun You make up your mind, their currency still says "In God we Trust", the same motto which is included in their anthem The president still ends most of his speech with "God Bless America" Check out the number of folks who attend church in America, can't say much about mosques. |
@Purist THERE IS A BIG AND VERY WIDE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IBB, ADEDIBU BLAH DE BLAH SO THERE IS NO POINT FOR COMPARISON. WHILE PEOPLE CAN GO AND CONFRONT ALL THE ABOVE FOLKS NO ONE CAN CONFRONT ADEBOYE EXCEPT HE TOOK MONEY FROM THEM. AS I UNDERSTAND PEOPLE HAVE FREELY GIVEN THE MONEY AND ANY CONSULTATION HAS BEEN DONE AMONG THE LEADERSHIP "SINCE THE MONEY FOR THE BUILDING DID NOT COME FROM THIS THREAD, OF COURSE ALL THE NOISE WILL DIE HERE" |
mazaje:The founding fathers of what we now call America were staunch christians, take a look at their currency notes it says clearly "in God we trust". |
7 GBOSA'S FOR PASSWORDED |
If the redeemed church of God did not build a $60million worth of building it does not solve the poverty of Nigeria. It is easy to point fingers. There was a thread set up a while back asking how much Nairalanders are worth and folks came here parading that they have millions and thousands stashed up in banks and stocks. No one thought of putting pictures of poverty on the thread page. Among people posting against the building are folks who drive merceedes, jeeps, live in the UK splash on holidays yet they have become suddenly wise on how to spend church money. @Mamajama go and read about Solomon's temple in the bible and how God blessed Solomon. God instructed David who was solomon's father on how the temple should be built. The people who donated money for the building did it of their free will, so if they choose to donate money for a building rather than buy clothes for themselves IT IS THEIR PEROGATIVE. |
How is this different from the existent threads? https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-52566.0.html https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-31554.0.html |
THIS THREAD STILL DEY ![]() ABEG FORGET KIYOSAKI AND HIS HOW DO WE MAKE OUR MILLIONS!!! |

easimoni: What great plans do they need that amount of capital for? Talk about dilution |
Okay the good times are here for the NSE, First Bank offer merely completed in July, hopes this means early release for share certificate. NSE LIFTS SUSPENSION ON FBN SHARES The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) yesterday lifted the technical suspension placed on the shares First Bank of Nigeria Plc, following its recent public offering. The shares which were suspended at N40.40 gained N2.02 yesterday to close at N42.42. FBN had offered for subscription 1.6 billion ordinary shares of 50k each at N33 per unit and right issue of 1.4 billion ordinary shares of 50K each at N31 per unit, at a discounted rate of N7.40 per shares, N9.40 per share respectively. There are indications that the bank may have raked in over N500 billion from its recent offer. Thisday checks revealed that management of the bank is presently in talks with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) with a view to absorbing all the over subscribed portion of its offer. In another development, the NSE yesterday listed 634 million ordinary shares of Airline Services and Logistics Plc at a nominal price of 50 kobo each at N4 per share. aylala2002:I suspect a lot of folks who buy the GDR will opt to convert to ordinary shares soon because the dollar is not the favorite currency at the moment |
doyin13:LMAO do they still exist?! |
loudboy:40% interest rate |
@easimoni, good info. |
@Tmoni nope not really. I understand the bit about debt rather than equity though. Where did you get the info on BT sharebuy back. |
@Roughcut, thanks I was only sent just a snippet of the news but talking of corruption and the shambles "He said the commission would not tolerate any sharp practices in the capital market, adding that Sec had recently sanctioned some operators who defrauded investors in the market. Oloyi said the commission did not think such issues should be brought to the notice of members of the public because of the sensitive nature of the capital market and the need to sustain investors’ interest in the market, especially now that it (stock market) has begun to attract foreign investors" Well at least we are trying to put our house in order. |
Nope you have to get the newspaper (financial standard front page) |
"Now this is what we are talking about" SEC WARNS FIRMS OVER DELAY OF SHARE CERTIFICATE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has threatened to sanction any capital market operator who delays issuance of share certificates of shareholders after the commission has approved the basis of allotment o any offers. Mr Lanre Oloyi, head of media relations of the capital market regulatory agency, said yesterday that the sanction has become imperative to ensure that investors’ confidence is sustained in the market. Often, some company registrars or even companies that issued shares delay the release of share certificates for several months, thus denying subscribers the opportunity to sell the shares if they wish to. This kind of situation frustrates subscribers especially those who have urgent need to sell and have cash to attend to some other needs. Oloyi said SEC is appealing to all operators responsible for issuance of shares certificate in the market to be alive to their responsibilities so that whatever caused the delay were rectified. Fin. I don't think you can call yourself a millionaire for having just N1m of assets, so if next month you sell N20 naira assets you fall back to thousandnaire . People who call themselves millionaire have multiples of million. Forget millionaire, the way people talk about million these days I remember when the common slang was men I made 20 Gees, 10 Gees these days it's I made 2 EM, 5 EM, I think the right question now is "at what point are you a Billionaire" ![]() |
EMMAACHILE:Thanks ![]() |
easimoni:Well the "someone" took a breather yesterday as the price was up. @NBA, Cashcraft customer service is poor. |
What is the story on FIRST INLAND shares been declining for the past 1 week? |
) FCMB had only 2(?) days of gains and now loses? It goes to show, if you have a stratgey that works, others will adopt and eat away at the margin till the strategy ceases to work.
, ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES YOU GET LUCKY AND SHE FORGETS TO COLLECT.
