vinegar: Hi....you can't pay for Uni assist with a form A. It doesn't meet the requirements for making payments via form A. I know this cos I work in a bank. What u can do is look for someone in Germany dat can help u make the payment then u credit the persons naira account, or do a direct FCR transfer from a euro domiciliary account. And who Says he can't pay Uni-assist with form A ?? Majority of banks knows form A for schooling. In our Deutsch bank account case, it's called "Invincible Form A transaction". This is because the cash is going into our personal account and not the school's account. I know for Sure about Union Bank at Marina and Zenith Bank HQ at VI. Moreso, Uni-assist is more or less like an educational Instituion so the cash will go in smoothly. He can make the transaction via "Invincible Form A, Dorm Account or better still using someone in Germany" I hope this helps.. Gemeinsam Sind Wir Starke !!! |

Panzi: Testimony Time................... 1st its been over a year that have been a "GHOST" on this thread and i Achieve my aim on this thread. When that Gay boi u cald Eke40seven (i know him by a different name) first told me about GERMANY i didnt take him serious cos i alwas doubt whatever comes out of his mouth. for we were known as Trouble makers in school then, after NYSC i asked Whats Next? cos there's alot of people waiting to see what will become the 3 of us. I started this journey last year that i found about this Thread before i realize the Mumu i have known for years is the "Baale" of this thread, is like been a relative to Messi. Despite of Dinning,Drinking & Sleeping(No Homo) with that karzy boi i still regard this thread as mu Bible. To cut the story short i picked up my "VISUM" today, as 15 is my deadline the GOD of last minute answered my prayers, when Cahnellven called me that his own has dropped i all most fainted. This Visa i owe/dedicated to DOLPAZ! Kennyoguns,Obiwan, Cahnellven (Talk & Do) this guys gave it all for me when i didnt get my DB confirmation. Am so so Greatfull guys for your time, for leaving your classes just for me. I will FOREVER be indebted to you guys from the deepest breath of my broken Heart i say THANK YOU! You guys gave me this Visa. To those that dont know me in Germany and decided to go to DB for the whole of my Family has prayed for you Danke! I wanted to go to Germany on a low key but nearly the whole Nigerians in Germany has my details on the quest of DB confirmation. Dolpaz! Dolpaz!! Dolpaz!!! may the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob bless you, you stood by me, coming to play PS with me even he end beaten, wipe away my Tears, exhausted his fone contacts for me (Even Germans that have not met me went to DB) Dolpaz may you never lack. Like i said all you have to do is 'Tap the fingers' or 'Whistle' you will see me come running. Despite of his own Probs? You are Blessed! Gay boi (EKE) thank you at least for sleeping train station for my sake. Thank You! to those i dont know or could not mention there names. Thank You! Nairalanders. Ka-Li here i come. Congrats bro... It's the Lord's doing. Gemeinsam Sind Wir Starke !!! |

kilo4sure: Bro the hope for such is slim, but search for schools that do not specify cgpa, and especially with no numerus clausus, check unibremen, in all God is ur hope, what would be would be, but in all still apply for Bsc courses while trying Let me come in with my Research, Knowledge and experience.. Unibremen DOES not admit with a third class. He can try hochschule(s) or pedagogische and Alot would be involved. He needs to write a superb SOP stating what went wrong during his academics programme. coupled with that, he needs to have LOTS of work experience in his field of study with strong emphasis on what he was able to achieve during these years.. omophilip: Please house is there any school in Germany that can admit with a third class? I intend doing a postgrduate course in Munich but it all looks like no school wants to admit someone with a third class. Knowing fully well that German education is extremely extensive and research oriented, these documentations will give them a clue of your stern interest. From your part, make sure you have all the requirements, attain German language proficiency. you may even attempt "Start deutsch A1" (if possible A2), attain a good band score in IELTS (i.e 7.0). Like I said earlier, your SOP which includes motivations and why you should be admitted for that course with such grade should be put into consideration. remember, alot of students who are fully qualified would also apply. you need that Niche to stun them. If you think you can bear the challenges that come with the course, then give it a try. Moreso, If you have the CASH, EGO, KUDI... You can apply to private institutions but their fees are damn crazy and you may end up asking questions. If your field is in Information technology, I can help you with 2 or 3 schools that would give you admission but your pocket needs to be heavy . You will be required to pay a particular sum of money before your admission letter drop and this is not refundable.. But it counts as part of your school fees. I don't know more about Management courses. Give it a try, Pray to God and all will be well. I know of two guys here who had third class, had Bsc in Law or something and Got admitted into a Msc program in a private institution. Secondly, I'll advice you to go through the Bsc route. Why? this is because with your first degree, getting an admission will be a piece of cake. after getting admitted, Ensure you read well and make good grades. approach your course coordinator explaining to him about applying for a higher semester. your current grade will be Examined coupled with your first degree. after thorough evaluation, you may find yourself in either 3rd, 4th or 5th semester. but some courses will be spilled for you to pass them. It may look daunting but never mind. Even M.sc students in Germany ain't finding it easy, trust me. For someone coming with a low grade, it means you'll need to forsake hustling, social activities, then you Read, read, read, read, and read like mad in other to catch up with your colleagues in class. cos even a 2.1 student from Nigeria reads like crazy to meet up with his fellow students. Presentations and Seminar are still waiting for you to defend. Lastly My Brother, Are You willing to go through all these stress?? If yes, you could give M.sc a shot.. Think/Ponder about this then make your decision. Remember, Woeful performance in school will kick you outta Germany cos the Auslanderbehorde MAY not extend your residency.. and that one na big GOBE. Pray to God for directions, and all will be well with you. I wish you all the best in your endeavors. I smell some visa testimonies this week. Gemeinsam Sind Wir Starke ! |

Iamwilliam: Hi guys, I have been an ardent follower of this thread and I must highly comment y'all. I have quite a bit of problem. I am trying to fund my blocked account. I recently had the breakthrough in securing the funds. The issue is I have been to Sterling bank, daleko branch as admonished by a lot of people on the thread, as well as Fidelity bank, but for reasons of lack of Euros and one bureaucratic issue all. I couldn't facilitate the transfer. The main issue is my enrollment deadline is 30th October and that is the lastest extension I could get from the school. Funding the account is the only thing delaying my visa issuance as it stands. I need urgent assistance on how I can fund my account ASAP in order to get a visa approval and beat the deadline next week. Kindly render any form of assistance/advise. I am looking @ the possiblity of funding from there in Germany but I 've got no contact person. Thanks Hi William, I am so happy for you in securing your fund. I need to tell you that some couple of people are also facing the same challenge. I was at the stabic bank head office at Walter Carrington but was referred to their Idejo Office at VI where all foreign and offshore transaction takes place. I deeply explain my ordeal to the man and he said the only way to make the transfer was to send it to the school account. I tried explaining how the whole process works, but unfortunately, he said no way to send directly to my personal account. With a bit of annoyance, I proceeded to Zenith bank head office and was told it may take some couple of day (e.g 14 days ) The woman in question told me CBN gives utmost priority to students and fees payment that I need to provide all the necessary documentation. I thanked her and walked out. Just some buildings away, I spotted another Stanbic bank. I walked up to the personal banking. after thorough explanation, she told me If Idejo office could not help, there's nothing she could do. but she gave me an Expo/Tip. She told me about Western Union Output transfer or something. she said stanbic does not have the facilities but other bank does. I asked for the bank names but she said It was a Radio ads and she couldn't take time to listen to the banks offering these service. In this regards, If you can walk up to any western union outlet to enquire about the service, it will be fine knowing fully well that this will be faster but may be a bit expensive. Also, Union bank is fast. Their transaction spans across 2-3 days and ur Db confirmation will drop. The Choice goes thus: 1) Union Bank 2) Try checking western union around 3) If you have friends who can credit your account directly from Germany, that will be instantly. but online transfer takes 2-3 days as well. I called my account officer at stanbic bank and he re-assures me that it will take 48-72 hours for the transaction to roll and i will get a db confirmation I wish you all the best bro cos the time is so close.. We shall all testify I am also in a fix presently hoping it all ends well. Gemeinsam Sind Wir Starke !!! |

Museni: Hello Guys...
I have been reading this thread up for sometime now - say, two months.
You guys (&girls) have been nothing but wonderful here. - the way una dey carry oda people mata 4 head dey solve am. Chai-
Congrats to team winter 2015. @Eke47, I thought before now you were already in Germany. Big congrats to you... The 'tributes' speak a great deal. All other Protocols duly observed.
Pals, I am in a State of dilemma. I studied Industrial and Production Engineering here in Nigeria, Graduated with CGPA 3.21. But knowing Nigeria, I don't feel I learnt enough. I'm torn between pursuing a fresh BSc in Mechanical Engineering and going forward with MSc in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering. I need your help wonderful people - advise, criticism.
Note: I have searched the website of DAAD and have seen a lot of BSc and MSc courses I'm qualified for. Will be 25 by next winter.
Your Advice is needed. Over to You my new Family.
Yours Sincerely Museni #teamwinter2016 Hello Museni, So good to know you have been reading the thread for the past 2 months. From your research, am so sure you are now acquainted with the application process up to the visa stage. Now back to your question. We all know Nigeria education is nothing compared to the German education system. The education system is top notch with more intensive research and practical orientation which is lacking in our Nigerian education system. Hopefully someday, We will get there. Its a nice decision and a great move. Most especially if this has been your dream course. No knowledge is a waste. Your intending course is a lucrative course over there in Germany and anywhere you find yourself. If you are settling for Either Bsc or Msc, try and get your transcript available, your IELTS (at least 6.5) and then other supporting documents. Don't be swayed. Its possible to have both Bsc and Msc admission. Just cast your net wide, be prayerful and be hopeful. I wish you all the best in your applications Regards ! |

acedboss: u don't need a dorm account really. You can fund ur DB acct right from your savings account. Just go to the bank and request for Form A. Your normal savings/current account will be debited in naira @ cbn's exchange rate and your DB acct will be credited in euros. I'm sure of Union Bank, UBA, Sterling, Stanbic & Fidelity. A lot of peeps on this forum have used the listed banks and they were able to carry out their transactions smoothly. Going by other peoples' experience, i'll advice u not to use GTB, First bank and Diamond bank for any reason whatsoever.
My Ogas in the house can definitely enlighten you further.

pompido: Finally I can say to EKE.....Welcome to Germany where success is ours for the taking!!! Congratulations EKE!!! I told myself that I will only wait till you testify before I say any other thing about my experience thus far. Emmanuel, God bless you beyond measure, lines are going to continually fall in pleasant places for you and you shall receive divine favor every step of the way. You helped me like you knew me from your village compound. I would call you with numerous questions and you would calmly answer or give me links that could help me further. It is this attitude of yours that has helped hundreds of Nigerians into German universities and economy via the "Pay it Forward" model. Even I (small me for that matter o) can take credit for helping others that succeeded and that fills me with joy that more people are making it out here Once again, I congratulate you and welcome you to Germany. I arrived Kiel via Istanbul and Hamburg on the 3rd of October. Due to my long stopover at Istanbul, I quickly latched on to Obiwann's advice and went to Starbucks for a hot coffee, snacks (paid for these as the airline guys were quite busy so i skipped asking for the meal ticket but by all means try and ask if you are in the area) and the very important free wifi. MTN works in Istanbul (best option in registering for the free wifi to get the code by sms) and Germany. My experience has been great here because the level of organization and planning in this domain is simply amazing. Aibee01 and I keep joking that we will get hit by a car if we go back to Nigeria and cross roads the way we do here because once the traffic light directs to go, we don't look left or right. So many of us have been blessed to be part of this forum and yet there are a lot more people with no knowledge of this forum or even the information available to us. My thinking is that we should all try and spread the word, encourage others and avail them of the information at our disposal, help others with genuine interest in studying in Germany with step by step details of how to achieve this dream, assist with whatever documents or weblinks we have to help make their lives and the entire process easier. I totally understand the no spoonfeeding ideology but i think sometimes, it could be better to simply provide the information if it is easily retrievable than to have a newbie search the entire thread(s) for answers. Sometimes, it may be necessary to turn back the hands of time and start from the beginning albeit updated. A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. The room only ends up being brighter! This motto has helped so many other nationalities quickly become a stronger and more unified unit here.e.g Ghana, Cameroun, India, Pakistan, Korea and Japan to mention a few. Older citizens of these countries help with information and sometimes sponsor letters amongst other things. They in no way expect payback other than for those helped to succeed and in turn help others. I do hope we can continue to grow stronger and look beyond our cultural differences, financial or intellectual capacities to build a stronger unit which in turn will bring the much deserved development to our dear country Nigeria.

uhrban01: Hi guys, happy independence to Nigeria! May God strengthen our President and fill his innermost cabinet with people of only good council.
I've been silently reading this thread for a while until recently when i posted a question some days ago with respect to funds transfer.
I had my interview on the 18th August with no strong conception of how I was going to fund my account. The wait was not easy at all amidst all the disappointments from people but now I can happily say that God came through for me.
I carried out my transaction with Sterling Bank at Daleko as advised by kciano and Eke40seven on this thread, my account was debited on Tuesday and I have just received a confirmation from Deutsche Bank which I have sharaprly forwarded to the embassy. As I await the reply from the embassy, I know it will end in praise.
To all those still waiting to fund their accounts for this Winter 2015, don't lose hope, God will surely see you through and this bus will not leave you behind.
Have a good day beautiful people and keep up with the good work. Hello Meks, So glad you have finally funded your DB. Next week is closer than you think. Also looking to use Daleko Branch. Let the "In the A.M matter email" drop asap.. Alles Gute ! |

Oga, am so sure if I suggest studienkollege to you, you will also declare your interest. 5) Master, go and do more research and come back here. your desperation cannot get you a visa. according to Cindino, if u can't convince us here, convincing the V.O would be a heavy task.
