I dont get it.. whats this fixation abt mail from embassy sendin you a mail to fund ur own account ( a requirement u ought to fulfil before the interview)....if you ve ur account details, fund ur account and send them the confirmation. You dont need a mail reminding you to do that.

Nmax=highest possilble grade
Nattained= grade attained
Nlowest= lowest pass grade.

Since you have 2.91/4.0

While Assuming your Institution's lowest grading point is 1.

The calculation goes thus:

(4 - 2.91/4-1)*3+1

2.09

Which means you can apply for an Msc course in germany, bearing in mind that the required CGPA for admission is 2.5 below..

Remember, your letter of motivation, ielts, work experience (if available) also plays a great part.

As the 2015 bus is about to leave for Deutschland finally, the 2016 bus is already heading towards the terminal ( even daad can confirm to that as their website has been updated to 2016) and getting prepare to take as much as possible but only those who are willing. i was charged N225 to the euro, i wouldnt know the exact bank charges right now as it was my dad's account not mine that was debited. Will find out and edit my post later on. When sending the DB confirmation, did you just reply the email that was from the embassy or composed a new email? Thanks

I had funded the account before the interview and even submitted the email sent to me by the bank to the interviewer. two days ago i had written them and today they told me that they are waiting for the alien authority consent. Its always helpful if you guys can always expanciate more on your request. you want us to advice you, how??

So far so good, I know some couple of guys who called their respective alien office to know their visa status after 4-5 wks of interview. trust me after contacting them, they received the expected emails from the embassy after 5-48hrs of contacting the Alien office. But as it stands, you are still fine cos your interview is NOT up to 4 weeks yet. stay calm and relax your nerve man. you are still within range and no cause for alarm.

I beg I need professional advice on this issue, I applied for visa interview early august nd I was given september 22, 2015 as my interview date while my enrolment at ulm university is between 5 - 9 october 2015. I contacted the embassy to let them move my interview date forward but I was told that this period is rush period for student visa nd notin could be done towards that. Actually I already paid my admin fees nd housing deposit to the school and about to fund my blocked account. I also asked the school by mailing my program coordinator for enrolment extention but I haven't gotten any reply to that regards. Pls I still need informed people here to encourage me nd tell me things I need to know considering this my case. Thanks

Well, these are my candid advise to you....

1) Prepare very well for your interview

2) Fund your account now, I mean now before your interview. ensure you get a DB alert at least a day after your interview. When asked to send blocked account confirmation, send it to the embassy sharperly.

3) Send an email to your course coordinator explaining the current situation or better still, put a call across.

4) Around 10 days after your interview, send an email to your Alien/Authoring office but don't sound desperate.

5) Await the school response and be hopeful...

Above all, put God first.

Easier to Register = IELTS

Easier to write and Pass with high score = IELTS

Most schools in Germany requires at Least 6.0 which ia achievable with just 1-2weeks preparation.

Work on Listening, Reading and Writing. The speaking will take care of itself.. Trust me.

I case you don't know. Nija certificates now have security features especially your WAEC and BSc. So, there is nothing to laugh about.

At least, I know of WAEC, my school, Some other schools and NYSC.

Are y'all sure about this? I had my interview over a week ago, and the only original I gave her that wasn't laminated was my admission letter and proof of funding (everything else from my academic certs to my birth cert was laminated) and I didn't get that message.




Think outside the box. Perhaps the problem lies in the "copy"? Maybe you forgot to add it while arranging the documents (I doubt that) or you didn't arrange them properly (more likely). Either way, if you're still in Lagos, I'd suggest you go back to the consulate with 2 photocopies of your degree tomorrow (there's no reason for you not to have photocopies at home) and give them, while explaining that you had already given them the original yesterday (today).



This is my opinion and may or may not be correct.

Just Because it worked for you, may not work for others.

Imagine if you had been in his shoes?

That's so wrong of you. Why would you Laminate your certificate in the first place? I know most schools and certificate department clearly state it BOLDY.

I think they place certificates under some security/Mercury check, In this case, your Laminated certificate could not pass thru the process.

1) Have they collected your Laminated certificate?

2) Do you have a Scanned original copy? If yes, Print out a clear One, Write a letter stating why you Laminated your original certificate stating obvious reason though, then attach the printed copy with it.

3) Just as LMU hopeful has stated, Call the embassy for more clarification and also contact your school HOD or exams department for Possible option of getting an alternative.

Union Bank never asked me for that. Union bank did not asked for breakdown/Estimated expenses. They just carried out the transaction and I got my credit alert from Deutsch bank in 3 days.

In addition to what everybody has said, what is your present highest qualification? I think that is imperative in order to deal with your re-strategising in different angles. If na ICT and you have the German Abitur, there are a lot of opportunities during the winter semester in English. It all come back on what you have presently as your highest qualification. Exactly, you are so right Seyi and others who have contributed immensely. I think he's not WELL guided enough before taking the steps of paying 500k just for language course. I doubt if he knows he'll need to attend Studienkollege cos some schools like Aachen runs their own studienkollege. (*reminds me of that little boy at the embassy whose parents paid over 17,000€ or so for his studies*). its like your Jamb/post utme into gaining admission into any school in Germany.

First thing first Kaylux... What's your present qualification(Hnd, Ond, 100level, sch cert holder), which Uni gave you admission on the basis of completing B2. you may ask them to also accompany your language letter with official admission letter (if possible).

back to the embassy, what are your qualifications and how do you plan to defend that? if you defend yourself at the embassy, how about the alien office who will also scrutinize your documents and applications.

Please be wise brother, 500k for language is not advisable. Goethe is just 35-40k per module and 5-6k books. by the time you're done with B1, your 500k will greatly suffer but its worth it. I believe you can have some other things to do while studying here. make sure it's a gainful employment and in your intended field of study.

I wrote the searches I made about Germany on a full page then on the next page I wrote down all the course work
U knw I read thru it when we were sittin down
So when I was tru I placed it inside my file see saw it tru my file cos the file was transparent
she just collected it and attached it to my file and we continued with d interview
It was when I was trying to explain to her that I had service in between 2010 and 2012 and I graduated in 2010 and when I started working
She got upset and asked me to go home..

This is an excerpt from how my interview went

I went to the embassy with full confidence from God and also had solace in my ability. I was not really moved since I have faced the woman a couple of times especially when I wanted to certify my documents. she yelled at me and ask if I trully wanted to study in germany. The scolding she gave me coupled with her strong face gave ma a hint of what to expect.

Some weeks after, I was there as well for another certification and this time around, I did everything she wanted me to do and at some point, she told me thank you for arranging your documents well.

Fast forward to the interview day..

I walked into the consular presence and was never shaken. She dropped the first question:

Have you learnt German, I told her Yes, and I am still looking to further in the language und so weiter....

When she saw my Bsc certificate, she asked. You studied computer science/mathematics why are you going for another Bsc

This was the interview winning question and she was curious on "why" another Bsc.

My Basic response was this:

During my previous study, I was fascinated with Computer Programming Language as well as the way they works, but after the completion of my program (Computer science/maths), I realized the functionality of device depends mostly on other field of engineering, like Electrical Engineering, control engineering for automation, control of devices, mechanical field for fabrications, amongst others. My interest in Mechatronics systems engineering and the decision to further my education in this field is a result of my deep-seated passion for conventional mechanics and engineering. In my college days, I excelled in the field of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry amongst others which is the basic knowledge in natural sciences and are also necessary to excel in the engineering world. after my response, she felt much satisfied with my response and inputted something into the system.


The next question she asked was:

Where do you want to apply your mechatronics knowledge??

I responded with: My love for Drone development has always top the list of my career goals and achievement. coupled with my experience as a programmer which serves as an advantage for programming devices will make it an added advantage. "She cuts in: Please explain more to me like a novice". I now explained what a drone is, types of drones and its functionalities. She was like.. oho a drone, Nice... I kept talking about drone and how it could be used to solve Global terriorism and also its advantage for the Nigeria economy. She cuts in, typed something and moved to the next question.


To cut the long story short:

Try as much as possible to "Interlink" your previous course, work experience (If any) with the current course you are going to study, also ensure you are knowledgeable with the applications and advantage of studying another B.sc.

Germans are not after Age and the only aspect where you may be questioned more will be about your family.

Aside this, you should be fine.

This afternoon i got a mail to come and pick up my visa from the embassy. To all does with difficulties of funding, dont lose hope, i opened my blocked account without having a dine to fund, but God sent an helper who also helped me to get a job contract in hamburg. Thanx to dis wonderful family, especially those the encouraged me in times of adversity eke47, aibee, xpensiveT, obiwan, dolpaz,bamidele, ghost follower efe, and all others i couldnt mention.
With the joy and happines am experiencing this wonderful afternoon, may Allah make a breakthrough for those in challenges in this journey

Oga, In other to avoid stories that touches, Moreso, if there were some gaps between your academics years and now, I'd advice you to include your appointment letters. I did that and they never removed/reject my letter(s). The embassy may not ask for it, but the Alien office may ask/request for this just to know what you have been doing for the un-filled gaps.
