President Buhari is according to a privileged report set to reshuffle his cabinet.

The President who was reelected in the just concluded polls was also said to be letting go of his Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma is Nigeria's Minister.

This report is yet to be authenticated but one thing is for sure there will be a reshuffle and some ministers will be leaving office.

A former adviser on economics to both former Presidents, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton has reportedly killed himself over the weekend, according to close family members.

According to The Epoch Times, Alan Kreuger, 58, served in the last two Democratic administrators as chief economist for the U.S. Department of Labor under Clinton and as head of the White House Council of Economic Advisers for Obama.

Alex in a recent chat with newsmen said it was true she rejected the car gift. She stated, “I rejected the first car I received on my birthday. For me, it was not just about the gift but where it was coming from.

The second car given to me was from love. Responsible fans put their money together to get me the car, while the former was from someone who liked me. It is okay to like me but I didn’t feel it was right to collect a car from an admirer.

Apostle Suleman donated to his medical expense abroad and while taking treatment it was advised that he should not go for a transplant.

This advise, he took and returned to Nigeria and has been diligent on his treatment until May 2018 when he could no more afford the treatment financially.

A two-storey building has collapsed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

PREMIUM TIMES gathered that the building, an uncompleted site, collapsed around 5.50 p.m. on Friday.
The building is which is situated shortly after the Molete Bridge, is located along the Molete- Beere Road.

Though details of the incident are still scanty, our correspondent gathered that some site workers are still trapped as at the time of filing this report.

As you may know well, it is two years since Nigerian Journalist Kemi Olunloyo left the Nigeria Prison in Port Harcourt. Ms Olunloyo was arrested for posting a news strip that was anonymously sent to her Instagram DM.

It was later known that the sender of the DM was a PA to Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo. And Kemi has stated that Ojo has never taken responsibility for the incident especially as the phone number used to open the Instagram account was registered to her name.

The first question that comes to mind is how can this happen right? The baby that became a public figure with his health condition and his father's public display after going around and not being able to raise enough funds that was needed for the treatment. 

Sympathizing Nigerians swung into action with the help of some celebrities and raised over a 100million Naira, more than enough for the treatment in India... then he died!

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has fixed supplementary elections in six states for Saturday, March 23, 2019.

The Commission has also arranged a panel led by a National Commissioner to resolve the controversies over the results of Bauchi State governorship election which was declared inconclusive.

INEC noted that governorship elections in the six states were declared inconclusive for a combination of reasons, including the discontinuation of use of the Smart Card Readers midway into the elections, failure to deploy SCRs, over-voting and widespread disruption in many polling units.

A type of Takata air bag inflator once thought to be safe has now come under scrutiny after a crash and explosion in Maryland injured the driver of a Honda minivan.

The incident forced Honda on Tuesday to recall about 1.2 million vehicles in North and Central America from the 2001 to 2016 model years that were not included in the massive string of Takata recalls for air bags that can hurl shrapnel into the passenger compartment.

Takata used ammonium nitrate to create a small explosion and inflate air bags in a collision. But the chemical can deteriorate when exposed to high temperatures and humidity and blow apart a metal canister, spewing out shrapnel.

At least 23 people have been killed by the company's inflators and hundreds more injured.

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Emeka Ihedioha, has emerged the Imo State governor-elect.
He polled 273,404 votes to defeat 69 other candidates including his closest rival, Uche Nwosu of Action Alliance who scored 190,364 votes.

Announcing the results at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Owerri at exactly 10.08 pm on Monday, the state returning officer, Prof. Francis Otunta, said the All Progressives Grand Alliance candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, polled 114,676 followed by the All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Hope Uzodimma, who scored 96,458 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the outcome of Saturday’s governorship election in Kano State as inconclusive.

The announcement was made Monday evening by the state’s Returning Officer, Bello Shehu, a professor.

Mr Shehu said the election is inconclusive because the number of cancelled votes is higher than the difference in votes scored between the two leading candidates:

Abba Yusuf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and incumbent governor Abdullahi Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Popular political columnist, Prof. Pius Adesanmi, was among the 157 persons that died in the Ethiopian Airline crash.

It was gathered that Adesanmi, who holds a Nigerian and Canadian passport, posted a photo from Addis Ababa Airport, Ethiopia, hours before the plane took off.

Adesanmi posted a message on Facebook which read, “If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me – Psalm 139:9-10.”

The Lagos State Government has said that there will be no public holiday on Friday, March 8, ahead of the governorship election that would hold across the country on Saturday, March 9.
In a statement by the State Commissioner for Information, Kehinde Bamigbetan, the government described as untrue some media reports that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode announced a work-free day.

“The Lagos State Government on Wednesday clarified reports making the rounds that it had declared Friday, March 8 as Public Holiday for Civil Servants, saying the information was untrue.

“A report currently circulating on social media platforms had suggested that the State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode had declared Friday as a public holiday to enable Lagosians to prepare for the March 9 Governorship and House of Assembly elections,” he stated.

Embattled singer R. Kelly was taken into custody following a court appearance this afternoon for unpaid child support.
Kelly, who was spotted in cuffs after the hearing in Chicago, will be processed and taken to jail later today. If he makes the payment -- around $161,000 -- he will be released from custody, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Department.

The amount has to be paid in full, the sheriff's department said.

The court appearance came hours after an explosive interview aired in which the singer, who faces 10 counts of felony criminal sexual abuse involving four alleged victims, lashed out and called the allegations "not fair."

Sen. Martha McSally, the first female Air Force fighter pilot to fly in combat, said Wednesday that she was sexually assaulted by a superior officer, and later, when she tried to talk about it to military officials, she "felt like the system was raping me all over again."

The Arizona Republican, a 26-year military veteran, made the disclosure at a Senate hearing on the military's efforts to prevent sexual assaults and improve the response when they occur.

Lawmakers also heard from other service members who spoke of being sexually assaulted and humiliated while serving their country.

The Collation Officer, CO, for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, at Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Prof. Sule Mohammed, says he cancelled the results of a polling unit because the presiding officer absconded with the results.

Mohammed, a lecturer at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, stated this while presenting the results of the LGA at the Kaduna State INEC office on Monday.

The Collation Officer said findings by him revealed that the presiding officer took the decision in order to protest non-payment of his allowances.

Tom Ahern, Chicago Police spokesman said that Jussie Smollett could face three years in prison for disorderly conduct and for falsifying a police report.
