The family of late Adeyemo Rotimi Oke, a traffic officer with the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority traffic officer, who was killed by a policeman, while on duty, has received the ten million Naira compensation, promised by the Lagos State Government.

In a statement signed by LASTMA’s Head, Public Affairs, Mamud Hassan, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Taiwo Salam, presented the cheque on Friday to the family of the deceased at their Ipaja residence.

Adeyemo Rotimi Oke, was murdered by a policeman, Olukunle Olonade on December 2018 at Iyana Ipaja while he was controlling traffic.

While presenting the cheque, Salam paid tribute to the late Adeyemo, He described him as a dedicated, loyal and committed traffic officer and employee of the state government that would not be forgotten for a very long time.

This woman, Adetoun Onajobi, in a video, has challenged a presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore of selectively fighting corruption after clearly having a chance to fight for a set of voiceless girls used as sex instruments. 

She also challenged the presidential candidate to a public debate. She also laid some curse on Sowere who she said suppressed a video clip of the girls being raped and dehumanized. "I dare you, you will not rule this country'', "you have no sense of humanity in you'' You have betrayed us 4 years ago when we thought you can help us when we could not speak. Queen Elizabeth II’s 97-year-old husband Prince Philip emerged unscathed after being involved in a road traffic accident near the monarch’s Sandringham Estate on Thursday, Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

“The Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle this afternoon,” said a spokesman.

“The Duke was not injured. The accident took place close to the Sandringham Estate. Local police attended the scene,” it added.

Taraba State Governor, Mr. Darius Ishaku, on Thursday imposed a 12-hour curfew on Wukari town with immediate effect to prevent the escalation of breakdown of law and order in Wukari and its environs.

In a statement issued in Jalingo and signed by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Bala Dan-Abu, the curfew is to run from 6am to 6pm.

According to the statement, the curfew was necessitated by the “invasion” of Wukari by the Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress with political thugs, causing breakdown of law and order.

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has said that if he loses the 2019 presidential election, it wouldn’t be the first time he would be experiencing it.
He then recounted the number of times he had lost at the presidential elections.

According to some information gathered online about Mr. Dennis Aghanya, he was a media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari between 2009 and 2011; while he was also a pioneer National Publicity Secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change.

Aghanya is not new to controversy. This can be said as he once advised the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, to dissolve the party’s two factions in Enugu State when they couldn’t seem to agree on the way forward.

There were confirmations on Wednesday that Bayern Munich have agreed to sign Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard for a reported £31.4m fee on a five-year deal in the summer, and Arsenal fans quickly took to Twitter to react.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has announced that he and his wife, MacKenzie, are divorcing.

Bezos, 54, made this announcement on Twitter. He said he and his wife had been through a trial separation and have now decided to end their 25-year marriage.

The Director-General of the Buhari Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has been caught on tape allegedly criticising President Muhammadu Buhari.

The audio clip, which is less than 10 seconds, was posted on Twitter by Reno Omokiri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.

In the clip which has not yet been authenticated, Amaechi, who is also the Minister of Transportation, purportedly said Buhari neither reads nor listens to anyone.

Amaechi purportedly said, “The President is not listening to anybody. He doesn’t care. You can write anything you want. The President doesn’t care. Does he read?”

The context in which Amaechi made the statement was unknown.
