Just in case you missed it, Busola Dakolo wife of Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has accused the head pastor of Commonwealth Of Zion Church, Biodun Fatoyinbo of rape. Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has been on the case trying to unravel all hidden mysteries.

There has just been a development. The journalist has taken to her verified Instagram page to say her father got a call fro a top pastor of House on the rock (the Dakolos church) that she is being threatened by an 'igbo' journalist.

The journalist did not take it easy. She has described the move as an attempt to derail her investigation.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) says the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) whose senior pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, is currently enmeshed in a rape scandal, is not one of its members. This comes a day after the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN released a statement saying Fatoyinbo is not their member.

Biodun Fatoyinbo was recently accused of rape by the wife of singer Timi Dakolo, Busola.

In a statement released by Kwamkur Vondip, the National director, legal and public affairs of the Christian body, CAN says it is troubled by the recent reports of sexual assault leveled against some of the clergymen in Nigeria. The body advised Pastors to desist from having unregulated closeness with any member of his/her church so as not to make themselves vulnerable.

This comes in the ongoing investigation being carried out by Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo. According to Kemi, glaringly missing is also the video where Timi explained how he met his wife a virgin.
Kemi was also heard on her audio tweet reminding us how Mrs. Dakolo said Pastor Fatoyinbo allegedly 'disvirgined' her and there was blood on the floor.

It was not exactly clear if the singer deleted or just archived the wedding videos from his official youtube channel but they sure are not there again, said Kemi.

Kemi Olunloyo further said this act just raises more questions and elements of suspension.

President Muhammadu Buhari has rejected 17 bills passed by eighth National Assembly.
He, however, assented to nine bills passed by the immediate past members of the eighth Assembly.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President (Senate), Senator Ita Enang stated this while briefing journalists in Abuja on Wednesday.

He explained that the President decided not to communicate his decisions on the bills to the current National Assembly because it cannot take any action on those rejected bills.

Enang, however, promised to engage the leadership of both chambers on the rationale behind the rejections of those bills.

The nine bills assented to by Buhari were the Police Trust Fund Act, Nigeria Natural Medicine Establishment Act, FCT Management Board and Health Insurance, Suppression of Piracy and other Maritime Defence Bill.

Senator Elisha Abbo, the Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, on Wednesday apologised for assaulting a nursing mother.
The senator, during a media briefing in Abuja, wept as he apologized to mothers, Nigerians, his party; the Peoples Democratic Party, the National Assembly, his family, the victim and her family as well as all people who were embarrassed by his conduct.

He stated that he has never been known or associated with assault in the past.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Gambo Gumel Aliyu as the Director-General of the agency for an initial term of four years.
The development was against the backdrop of the resignation on Tuesday of the Director-General of the agency, Sani Aliyu.

A statement by the Permanent Secretary, General Services at the Office of the Secretary to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Olusegun Adekunle, said the appointment of the new head of NACA was in line with the provision of Section 8, Sub-Section (4) of National Agency for the Control of Aids (Establishment) Act, 2007.

The appointment, he said, was with effect from June 26.

According to a source at the agency, Mr Aliyu resigned from his position on Tuesday.

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari’s Aide on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, has called on the Nigeria Police Force to investigate the embattled Senior Pastor of Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly Church, COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.

This report was also confirmed by the News Agency of Nigeria.

This comes after Mrs Busola Dakolo, photographer and wife of Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo accused Fatoyinbo of allegedly raping her as a teenager.

Tony Rodham, Hillary Clinton's youngest brother, passed away Friday night, according to the former Democratic presidential nominee and Secretary of State.
"We lost my brother Tony last night. It’s hard to find words, my mind is flooded with memories of him today. When he walked into a room he’d light it up with laughter. He was kind, generous, & a wonderful husband to Megan & father to Zach, Simon, & Fiona. We’ll miss him very much." Clinton wrote on social media on Saturday.

The Federal High Court in Abuja, under Justice Inyang Ekwo has ordered the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, NBC, to re-open the African Independent Television (AIT) and Ray Power FM.

The broadcasting regulatory body on Thursday, June 6th, suspended indefinitely the license of the two stations owned by Raymond Dokpesi for violating its guidelines. NBC said both stations failed to heed to the several warnings given to them.

In a bid to prevent the NBC from sanctioning it, DAAR Communications on Friday, May 31st, filed a suit before the court. In the court paper filed through its counsel Mike Ozekhome, the media company asked the court for an order “restraining the defendants from blocking, jamming, stopping removing from air and/or interfering with the airwaves of the plaintiff/applicant (Daar Plc) in any way and manner howsoever called from invading the premises of the plaintiff/applicant (Daar Plc) or closing down, viet armis, the said premises, its operations or broadcast services, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice filed along with this application.”

Star striker Neymar has been accused of raping a woman at a hotel in Paris, Brazilian media reports said on Saturday, charges that the player’s father slammed as attempted blackmail.
According to a complaint filed with Sao Paolo police and reported by the UOL and GloboEsporte websites, the Paris Saint-Germain star is accused of “using violence to have sex with the victim without her consent.”

Sao Paulo’s security secretariat would not provide a copy of the complaint to AFP, confirming only that one had been filed but saying its contents were classified.

The unidentified woman, who lives in Brazil, allegedly met Neymar through Instagram, and after exchanging messages, the footballer invited her to visit him in Paris in mid-May.

According to the complaint, Neymar arrived at the hotel “apparently intoxicated,” and the two chatted and exchanged “caresses.”

But then “he became aggressive and used violence to have sex with the victim without her consent,” the document said.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Friday released 4,536 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results, which were withheld for allegations of multiple identities of candidates and other infractions.

JAMB said the release of 4,536 out of a total 4,760 withheld results followed the decision of a committee set up to examine the multiple facial identities.

The board noted that the facial match recognition was carried out by its specialised software and Information Technology experts.

Over 1.8million candidates had sat for the examination between April 11 and April 18, with the release of over 1,792,000 results on May 11.

But on Friday, the board said it had cleared 4,536 withheld results of infractions.

Apple is phasing out its content download and streaming service, Bloomberg reports.
CEO Tim Cook will unveil a spread of new features geared to move the company’s focus away from the iPhone starting Monday at the tech giant’s Worldwide Developers Conference.

One of these changes is getting rid of iTunes, which has served since 2001 as the home for users’ music, television and podcast libraries.

Going forward, three new desktop apps will be unveiled — Music, TV and Podcasts — to house and manage the data. This will match the format already used on iPhones and iPads.

Bloomberg’s report did not specify the fate of the iTunes store.

Other exciting announcements expected an increasing autonomy of the Apple Watch, which currently depends on iPhones to work, revamps to the Health and Reminders apps and a unified app strategy across devices.

American entertainer, Kenny Rogers has been admitted to a Georgia hospital for dehydration, according to his official Twitter account.

A statement posted Friday said he would remain there for physical therapy to "get his strength back" before being discharged. The statement said the 80-year-old singer and actor appreciated the well wishes from fans and wanted to assure everyone that "he plans on sticking around through the years to come."

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has proscribed the activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in the state.

Makinde, while declaring the activities of NURTW illegal, also announced the immediate take-over of all motor parks in the state.

The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, has nullified the emergence of Ned Nwoko as the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District.
The court in a decision on Thursday said the case instituted at the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court which resulted in the recognition of Mr Nwoko as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission was wrongly filed.

The appellate court ruled that the matter ought to have been brought at the lower court before the expiration of 14 days from the time of the incidence that birthed the suit.

It further ruled that the failure of the applicant at the lower court to file the case before the expiration of 14 days meant that the case had become statute barred and the lower court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter in the first place.

Google on Wednesday banned apps on its app store that facilitate the sale of marijuana or related products, as part of a change to its content policy.

Developers only need to move their shopping cart option outside the app to comply with the new policy, a Google spokesperson said.

Google said it is working with many of the developers to answer any technical questions and help them implement the changes without customer disruption.

Existing apps would have 30 days post-launch to comply with the policy.

UNITED STATES- A judge ruled on Thursday to unseal documents in the Jussie Smollett hate hoax case.
The records were sealed in March by crooked State’s Attorney Kim Foxx shortly after charges against Smollett were abruptly dropped by prosecutors.
Attorneys representing the media, including ABC7, challenged the sealing of the records.

NIGERIA- Facebook has closed some accounts allegedly set up by an Israeli firm named Archimedes, which were used to dent the image of Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and boosting the campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari, Associated Press reports.

The report by United States think tank, Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, which analyses misinformation online, said some sample posts removed from Facebook appeared to praise President Buhari of the All Progressives Congress and smear his leading opponent, Atiku.

Many of the pages and accounts were discovered to be linked to a Tel Aviv-based political consulting and lobbying firm named Archimedes.

On its sparse website of African stock images, the company advertises its deliberate efforts to conduct disinformation campaigns, boasting that it takes “every advantage available in order to change reality according to our client’s wishes” through “unlimited online accounts operation.”
