Zenith is pretty good, probably the best when it comes to non-resident accounts, their technology remains the best, as long as banking sector is concerned in Nigeria.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Donbrig: 10:36am On Mar 24, 2019
It seems there is going to be primary auction this week, how true is that? Someone should confirm that please. Two separate banks said Yes and No, I don't know which to believe.

Bluecollarguy:
I started Tbill 3 yrs ago, and as previously stated my goal is to ensure that I transfer 10-12m naira annually to my Nigeria bank accounts. 90% of that money is invested into Tbill, the remaining 10% to help some of my family members when pressing needs occur. If God sustains my life and I continue doing this for another 15-20 years, you should have a clearer picture of what my account would look like then.

To answer your question, personally it's hard to ascertain how much I wish to have for retirement because I'll be relying on residual income(stream) from various sources even after I retire. In other words, I'm still getting paid even while I'm asleep or while on vacation as a retired person...that's the beauty of residual incomes from your smart investment in your heyday.

My only advice for some of us in Nigeria is simple: As we say in Nigeria, ''Cut your coat according to your size.'' I live in America, I can afford to lease or finance a 2019 Range Rover Autobiography because of my financial capacity coupled with my excellent credit rating. But guess what, we keep it simple here. As a contractor, I have my work trucks and one family car. Please don't try to copy the local Nigerian celebrities..some of them are broke but try to lead a fake life just to impress you and make you feel less human. I saw on Instagram today, a local boy called Mayorkun who claimed to have spent N35m on a Mercedes Benz CLA250, and his fans are showering him with praise. My question is: If he spent N35m = $97,2000 U.S. on ordinary CLA250, then how much would he pay to acquire the CLA45 AMG, the upgraded version of the cla250?

I have nothing against the young man, I only advise that you guys stop feeding on their lies and bullsh*t. Just work hard, invest some of your money for a better tomorrow, but spoil yourself every now and then as you invest. Don't deny yourself of the very essential necessities of life all in the name of investment, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. God bless!
We are with you bro, in spite of all the endless challenges in Nigeria, Nigeria still remains one of the best places to invest and retire. But most Nigerians are poor and cannot see these opportunities in Nigeria, only the wealthy ones do benefit from these opportunities. I am in Germany at the moment, I cannot wait to retire back home and enjoy the rest of my life in Nigeria, with lots of investments. Nigerians in diaspora should make good use of the tax advantages in Nigeria, unlike USA or Europe, where life becomes complicated once you are wealthy, due to different kinds of taxes and bills. I rest my case for now. God bless you all.

364 days tenor seems to be a dead end at the moment, time to reduce tenor. Please, when exactly is the next auction? Some said next week 27th, while some said in two weeks time, 3rd April.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Donbrig: 8:28pm On Mar 16, 2019
Wow! we really have lots of multimillionaires in this thread ohhh. For those who wants to retire at the age of 30, it is not normal to retire at the age of 30, you won't have any story to tell the young aspiring ones. One could dream of retirement as from 45yrs and above.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Donbrig: 7:19am On Mar 16, 2019
I bought 364days treasury bill in primary market with Zenith bank in the last auction, I am yet to know if they were successful or not. No debit, no info on the transaction if successful or not. Please, did anyone in same situation or have experienced such situation with Zenith before and what could be the problem. Advice needed, thanks.

I really want to thank all the financial educators in this forum, you guys are priceless. I once met my account officer to educate me a bit on how best to invest my money, little did I know that her bank manager almost gave her a resignation letter for giving me too much info on investments. I am completely convinced that banks makes their huge profits from the financial ignorance of the masses.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Donbrig: 8:54am On Jan 27, 2019
Greetings to all financial gurus in the house. I have over 10m in five different tenures in treasury bills, allowing bank to bid on my behalf in primary market. I don't know if it would be better for me to sum or add all my money together, raising over 50m, and bid directly in the primary market. Please, which is a better idea?

Thanks to all for educating us so far.
PoliticsRe: Dino Melaye Fainted On The Floor After Eight-Day Siege by Donbrig: 6:23pm On Jan 04, 2019
Dino Melaye is just making our police force look useless and clueless before the entire world. If they have any serious issues with Dino, why not prosecute him immediately instead of turning him into a national political comedian.
PoliticsRe: Edo State Security Trust Fund Launched (Photos) by Donbrig: 5:30pm On Dec 18, 2018
May God bless Edo State, the governor is really doing a lot for Edo State. Security should be a priority in Edo, considering the fact that Edo is the only state in Nigeria that links all the six geopolitical zones, and has a huge potential for tourism.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Donbrig: 11:11am On Dec 01, 2018
I don't just know why some people like to inflict others with their fears. Naira is temporarily weak at the moment like every other world currencies is not enough reason to spread fear that would later deepen the weakness of our local currency. The more we buy dollars and invest in foreign currencies, the more naira will depreciate, not just oil prices falling is the main problem to naira. Naira is not just weak, but because Nigerians and their politicians are weakening naira by dollarising our economy.

HealthAny Health Insurance Company In Benin? by Donbrig(op): 3:24pm On Nov 11, 2018
I want to invite my mother to visit me in Europe, and I need an international health insurance for her. Please, If you know of any health insurance company in Benin City, kindly give me their contacts, so I can get their services. PoliticsRe: 2019: We Want More Than SGF, South-west PDP Tells Atiku by Donbrig: 1:12pm On Oct 27, 2018
South-West should not display any form of greed in 2019, they have had a very fair share of power since independence. South West leaders who were opportuned to be in power haven't done anything to develope their region. Lets put greed aside and save Nigeria from this lifeless president, or else we shall all face another four years of anguish and hunger in the land.

Good day house,
pls what is d different between secondary market and primary market treasury bills certificate? swift clarification will be highly appreciated.
Honestly speaking, this question truly shows how much Nigerians detest reading. Reading just three to four pages in this forum will answer your question, because this question is the most discussed topic since this thread began.

My Oga madam ma, please i dont tell anyone stocks to buy except my household and followers that loves risk taking like me and as such, i will not tell any one to buy which stock. But go and read the richest man in Babylon, there was a mistake the guy made there which i want you to read yourself before you commit your fund. I read a lot before committing my money into any investment cos of previous experience. When you are done reading then you will climb the next step.
Well said, reading good books about finance is the main key. Investing in stocks in Nigeria is not easy at all, those stock broking firms always speak language ordinary novice will not understand. Moreover, most of the companies in Nigeria are never honest with their profits. Nigerian Stock Market is still regarded as a legal fraud. Most of us still prefer treasury bills, because we can see things in black and white and even argue our way into it.

Good day My ogas in the house, pls permit me to ask this question: can everyone in Nigeria be a millionaire?
A very big NO. Everyone in Nigeria cannot be a millionaire, no country on earth is every citizen a millionaire. Many Nigerians don't have the mental state to control few thousands of naira, much more millions. Besides, if everybody becomes a millionaire, it won't be a fun thing becoming a millionaire. To become a millionaire, you need a very high level of financial disicipline, which majority of Nigerians lack.

Budget that doesn't have any impact on the people. Buhari should not screw up the economy more than he had done already.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Reacts To Travel Ban: Buhari Repeating 'Evil Decree 2' Of 1984 by Donbrig: 6:53pm On Oct 14, 2018
Sad... It is very clear that Buhari is never going to concede defeat in 2019. PDP should work out a plan B on how to deal with Buhari if he should stupidly refuse to relocate to Daura. Very sad to know Nigeria is under hostage under Buhari, we ought to have learnt our lessons from the past.

Let me leave you to your faith. If you know how much your life and everything had reduced to rubble since Buhari took office, you won't be saying this. I will live up to 95yrs by the grace of God and our ancestors, because I treat others with fairness and exactly the way I want to be treated.
BusinessRe: Naira Weakens At Forex Market As Foreign Reserves Drop To $43b by Donbrig: 8:02am On Oct 14, 2018
APC and the gang have started drying up our foreign reserve, in case they loose next elections, so they will have billions of dollars to fall back on. Criminals everywhere you go.
PoliticsRe: What Will Happen To Religious Leaders Involved In Partisan Politics – Buhari by Donbrig: 9:35pm On Oct 13, 2018
Buhari is a FIVE STAR IDIOT, when religious leaders were supporting him in 2015, he didn't caution them, all of a sudden he now advises religious leaders on how to exercise their fundamental rights. DAURA is your last bus stop come 2019.

PoliticsRe: 11 Reasons Why Atiku Should Adopt Olisa Agbakoba As His Running Mate by Donbrig: 6:33pm On Oct 10, 2018
Even though I am from South South, I strongly believe Akinwunmi Adesina is the best man for VP. Adesina had been tried and tested in various fields of life, as a youthful young man, he will appeal more to Nigerian youths and technocrats. Well, I believe Atiku knows his Vice even before he was nominated. Atiku and Adesina would be a collateral damage and disaster to APC.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Needs A President Who Understands Economy – Obasanjo by Donbrig: 9:37am On Oct 10, 2018
Exactly why we need Atiku to take over in 2019. We cannot continue to live like slaves in our own country. Buhari has never established a business or written a book, how would he know anything about economy. I hope and pray Atiku choses Adesina from South West, so we can handle Osinbajo's influence in SW and get their huge voters supports. South East should understand the battle to rescue our dying nation, and we can all talk about regions after the rescue. And I believe South East will still handle critical positions under Atiku's administration.
