A pregnant female pastor has been heavily criticized over her attire after a picture of her went viral, showing her thighs while preaching during church service. The photo shows Pastor Shantelle Jepchumba of Glorious Heaven Ministries in Kimwarer, Kenya, wearing a dress with a long front slit which exposed her thighs.. Most internet users felt that the ‘woman of God’ expressed too much of her thighs, that could lead to moral decay and sexual harassment of her congregants. ” Waah,,,, all fake,,how do you go to church dressed that way,,on the pulpit,” said Maria Ondiso. However, some people felt that the pastor should not be answerable to anyone concerning her dress code, choosing to adopt the infamous line of ‘my dress my choice’. “She’s just ok. I can’t see any problem with her. You said Owuor’s follower puts on magunia…let her wear that’s her dress choice,” said Lilian Engesia. “We are aware of the devils tricks to bring down the church of Christ. Even if that lady was in a club, social media will attach church, give titles to her as a pastor to make the world not believe in the gospel. More shocking details have emerged in the trial of Nigerian drug dealer Innocent Oseghale who is accused of killing the Italian 18-year-old Pamela Mastropietro last year. A key witness in the trial, Vincenzo Marino, made the shocking revelation in court. Marino had been detained in prison at the same time as Oseghale and claimed to have overheard him admit to the murder. According to Il Giornale, Marino said that the Nigerian drug dealer stabbed the Italian teen immediately after having sex with her. “They had a fight, they pushed, Oseghale stabbed her in the liver and after a first stab Pamela fell to the ground,” he said. The witness went on to add that following the initial stabbing, Oseghale left the scene to fetch another man to help him dispose of Mastropietro’s body and then “returned home, convinced him that Pamela was dead and started dismembering from the foot.” The Nigerian is then alleged to have stabbed the teen again after she allegedly tried to cry out. According to Marino, Oseghale did not name who his accomplice was. “He had washed [the body] with bleach because it would not have been known if she had died of an overdose or murdered,” he said. “He said there was a sack in the fridge to put the pieces in, but they did not fit in there and that he had to cut it and put it in two suitcases,” Marino added. The suitcases, which were left on the side of the road, were discovered in February last year in the Italian commune of Pollenza sparking a national uproar and provoking a mass shooting attempt targeting migrants by 28-year-old Luca Traini, who allegedly knew the victim. Several months later, another Italian teen, Desirée Mariottini, was found dead following an overdose in Rome. Prosecutors arrested several migrant men in connection with her death accusing them of raping the 16-year-old and purposely causing her to fatally overdose on drugs. A suicide bomber on Sunday morning attacked Shuwa community in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State killing himself and a resident. The attack occurred at about 7.30 a.m. near a village church ( St. Pius the XI Catholic Church) at about the time residents were going for their Sunday service. “The suicide bomber seems to be aiming to attack a church in the village but ended up blowing himself not far away from the church,” the source who asked not to be named for safety reasons said. Papka Medugu, a parishioner who witnessed the incident, told SaharaReporters on Sunday morning that suspected Boko Haram members “targeted our church while the morning mass was going on, but to God’s glory they both exploded before they could access the church”. “Vigilant Catholic cadet boys on patrol around the church vicinity prevented the bombers from gaining entry into the church, thereby forcing the explosives to detonate before getting to their target,” the eyewitness said, just as he confirmed that only the two bombers were killed in the incident. Getting the highest number of votes in a state is not enough to declare a governorship candidate winner, the Independent National Electoral Commission has said. To be declared winner, a governorship candidate must not only get the highest number of votes, he must also win at least one-quarter of total votes cast in two-thirds of all the local government areas in the state. This is contained in the guidelines for the governorship election posted by INEC on its website. The commission said the collation officer for a state can only return as winner, any candidate who “(i) has the majority of votes cast at the election; (and) (ii) has not less than one quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the LGAs in the state.” The guidelines stated that “Where no candidate meets the requirements of the majority of votes cast and the electoral two-thirds, as provided in 41b (i) and (ii) above, a run-off election will be organised by the commission within 21 days in line with the provisions of Section 179 (2) to (5) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.” In case of cancelled votes, the guidelines stated that the returning officer should not declare any candidate winner if the margin between the two leading candidates is less than the number of registered voters at the polling unit or units where votes were cancelled or did not hold at all. The commission stated that in line with sections 26 and 53 of the Electoral Act, a winner would only be declared after a fresh poll has been conducted at the polling unit(s) where votes were cancelled or did not hold at all. A Nigerian girl, Blessing Obuson, who thought Russia’s soccer World Cup would be an opportunity to find a job and flew into Moscow, last June, instead, found herself forced to work as a prostitute. According to Reuters, Obuson, 19, said she had hoped to work as a shop assistant to provide for her 2-year-old daughter and younger siblings back in Edo state. Instead, she said she was locked in a flat on the outskirts of Moscow and forced into sex work along with 11 other Nigerian women who were supervised by a madam, also from Nigeria. “I cried really hard. But what choice did I have?” Obuson told Reuters after being freed by anti-slavery activists. She said her madam had confiscated her passport and told her she’d only get it back once she’d worked off a debt of $50k. Two Nigerians were later arrested and charged with human trafficking after striking a deal to sell Obuson for $30,000 to a police officer posing as a client. Obuson’s case is not isolated. Reuters also met eight Nigerian women aged between 16 and 22 brought into Russia on fan IDs and forced into sex work. All said they had endured violence. “They don’t give you food for days, they slap you, they beat you, they spit in your face… It’s like a cage,” said one 21-year old woman. In September, a Nigerian woman was killed by a man who refused to pay for sex, police said. The Nigerian embassy later identified her as 22-year old Alifat Momoh who had come to Russia from Nigeria with a fan ID for the World Cup. Russian police say 1,863 Nigerians who entered the country with fan IDs had not left by Jan. 1, the date when the IDs expired. Jesse Lingard could barely contain himself as he celebrated Marcus Rashford’s last-gasp penalty fly into the net with aplomb like any true Manchester United fan would; by jumping up and down and screaming as loud as possible… before FaceTiming the matchwinner. The United midfielder was not in Paris and was unavailable to feature in Wednesday’s crucial Champions League clash after sustaining an injury in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool last month. Lingard was one of 10 senior players missing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men but still United somehow managed to bravely battle back – with a little help from VAR – to register an historical comeback to progress to the quarter-finals. Lingard chose the comforts of his home instead of travelling with the team to watch the second-leg clash and filmed a hilarious video of himself wildly celebrating Rashford’s last-minute winner. He can be heard repeatedly shouting: ‘Marcus Rashford’ and captioned the post: ‘Beans, Beans, Beans’ – his nickname for the United striker – before later sharing another video in which he says: ‘Believe, believe, believe. Go on the boys.’ He then proceeded to FaceTime, Rashford after full-time – sharing a screengrab of their conversation on his Instagram story. Anthony Martial was filmed watching the winning penalty from the comfort of his own living room before screaming ‘Yes!’ in French while Nemanja Matic frantically jumped around with his son. Alexis Sanchez also filmed the spot-kick before celebrating with friends, family, and of course, his dogs. Meanwhile, Ander Herrera shared a picture of his team-mates celebrating on Instagram accompanied with the caption: ‘MASSIVE BALLS!! thanks guys’. The 3-1 victory in the French capital came with a bit history with United the first side in European records to lose the first leg at home by two goals and still advance to the next stage. In an effort to quell the election crisis in Ojota area of Lagos, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Lagos and Ogun, AIG David Folawiyo and the new Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Mu’azu Zubairu, have engaged community leaders, the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Adelaja Agbabiaka and Eze Ndigbo and Chairman Council of Ndieze Lagos State, Eze Christian, Uchechukwu Nwachukwu and other community leaders in peace talk. Zubairu while speaking at the palace of Osolo of Isolo on Monday evening said, what happened on Saturday was a matter of concern for everybody, including the security agencies, the Oba and the residents. According to him, everybody was aware of the issues in the area but not aware of the true facts. He said he was in the area on Saturday with the AIG and without knowing that what happened in Okota, the election was wonderful. “They said three people were killed and nobody had seen one corpse anywhere in this area. The gentleman who was attacked was immediately rescued, rushed to the hospital and he is getting better in the hospital. But you can see the negative news being sprayed about this area which is not good for everybody. “If there are issues of elections in Nigeria, it should not be in Lagos and if there is any problem of elections in Lagos, why should it be in Okota where you have peace-loving Nigerians living together? “This is why the AIG and myself have come here to reemphasise the peaceful co-existence which I believe has been happening in this kingdom for so many years. This kingdom is not known for any violence or crisis. It is known for living together in peace; why is this area trying to get a new name now? A place of crisis and chaos? The CP said he believed the meeting was going to cement the relationship between the communities in the area. “It is going to tell our followers that we are all one, and that what we need is peace. On our own side as a security agency, we are going to tell the people that we are here for everybody. We assure them that we are going to give the necessary safe and secure environment for the remaining elections.” He urged the leaders to allow people vote candidates of their choice. “Party A or B doesn’t matter because that is what is bringing the problem. That it must be a particular party must be erased from our minds. Let us focus on good leadership. Nobody must be compelled to choose a party or candidate of any party.” Earlier, AIG Folawiyo had said they were lucky to have the community leaders in attendance at the meeting. He urged them to shun violence in the area, adding that the police do not have problems with the community leaders but need their assistance. Eze Nwachukwu said, the meeting with the oba was very necessary and was about what happened during the last election. According to Nwachukwu, there was a disagreement and the Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba communities were ready to sort it out and agree among themselves that if such should happen, they should report to the police or the oba. “What happened was that some hoodlums high jacked some polling units and suddenly somebody did not go to the police nor the oba and went ahead and took the laws into his hand. And nearly take someone’s life. Nobody died but there were some injuries. “We have agreed that everyone should go home and talk to their people so that peace can reign. We have talked about peace for the Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba communities. We have agreed to be meeting from time to time to discuss our common problem for the interest of everyone.” Oba Agbabiaka urged the Igbo leaders to always report any issues or disagreements to the police if they cannot come to him. “Anytime you have any problem or any grudge with any people, you should please if you cannot come to me, call the police. You cannot take the laws into your hand or give judgement by yourself. “Ndigbo, you see sometimes, it is good to show signs of appreciation. Majority of you know me, either you had your property through us or through the government. “All you should know is that you are within Isolo and there is nothing that I do that I don’t carry you along. And that is what brought the idea of handing about four or five of you chieftaincy tittles. “Also, the government means well for you. Luckily, in the last election, the House of Representatives winner in this area is your man, an Igbo, and the House of Assembly representative is also your man, two councillors are from you and also one supervising councillor.” The oba said there was nowhere in Lagos State the Igbo could see such gesture, adding that the government of Lagos State was trying to look after them and therefore them to be grateful.
