The Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted twenty drums of carbide in Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State.

The Custom area Controller of the Federal Operations Unit Zone A, Ejibunnu Hussain told journalists on Tuesday September 6 that the seized explosives had a Duty Paid Value of about N33 million.

He said that the material used for making of explovies must be approved by the office of the National Security Adviser

He said;

“The unit seized 20 drums of Carbide, along Ijebuode in August. The substance used for the production of IED. If allowed to get into the hands of unscrupulous persons, it could cause very serious security concern. And the importation of this has to be approved with an End User Certificate from the office of the National Security Adviser.”

A middle aged man identified as Emeka Richard has been arrested by the Delta State police command for using hot knife to burn the buttocks of his 7-year-old twin sons.

The incident happened on Monday, August 29 in Agbarho community, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

HGS Media Plus gathered that the man assaulted his twin sons because they went outside the house to play.

Confirming the incident, spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe said the suspect was arrested for assault bothering on "grievous harm"

Am not happy with my husband's utterances towards me. He unapologetically told me my duties are just 2: to give him se. X and to cook. This guy has really hurt me in this marriage, he seems not to know how to talk.

I work and equally contribute to everything. I dont hide my income and i give him for the building we are both building. I am not useless and i am not a liability to him.

How it all started :
Moimoi or beans is for every other Friday or Saturday ( moimoi could be ones in 6 weeks except my kids specially ask for it) but for a while now whenever I prepare any of the 2 he would complain, regect it. He told me he doesn't like them during the week and I will never prepare them Sunday to Thursday. Friday because he won't be going to work the following day. My kids like eating moimoi very well, infact, it is one their best meals. Atimes, they ask for it. My husband sees moimoi and beans as crap. Guys, he buys it and eat it outside!, my moimoi doesn't purge anyone of us. Even him but he'd keep saying he purges with moimoi, it's just an excuse.

It is difficult to cook 2 foods, i will not stop making moimoi or beans because of him, my kids like the meal so much. For the fact that he buys it out there and this food is what we usually enjoy together before now, i cant stop cooking it.

He has in many ways abused me, he is not someone I should even go the extra mile for, he doesnt sacrifice for me, he doesn't respect me, he doesn't stay close to me except when he wants se. X, always going out. He is very scarce at home. I can't cook 2 foods on days i cook moimoi or beans.

And for telling me my duties are just 2 in his life, I feel abused for allowing him have se. X with me all these while, i feel like a kitchen tool for cooking for him. His intentions and motives about a women are so demeaning.

I am feeling so ashamed of myself. He place no value on me.

The unidentified nurse in a video threatendees to kill any patient that patronise the hospita where she works.

According to her, she said she never wanted to be a nurse and that she forced by her parents to go nursing school.

The Assistant Inspector General Of Police, Zone 12 headquarters, Audu Madaki was attacked by unknown gunmen killing one of his guards in Bauchi state.

Audu who was on his away to Abuja from Bauchi State sustained injuries after being ambushed by the assailants.

The young boxer who goes by the username @activeboxer1 on social media was paired by his coach, one Alfa to fight an opponent twice his size.

One Maryam Adamu, a 20-year-old student of Gombe State University, (GSU) has lamented over the prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASSU).

Maryam, in an interview with Daily Sun lamented about how messed up the strike is and how it has forced her into an urgent search for a husband.

The 200-level student of Public Administration said that her plans and wishes to graduate before the age of 20 has being be to a stop due to the strike.

She said that her staying at home due to the strike has killed her spirit of studying before marriage as she initially planned.

She said;

"I cannot take it anymore. Our continued stay at home following the shutting down of academic activities since February is not going down well with us. Many of us have lost the spirit. As I speak now, if I am asked to choose between going back to school and marriage, I would put marriage first,” said the student, who disclosed that she had been carried away by studies and never thought of marrying before graduation.

"This strike has forced me into an urgent search for a husband because that is what I could think of while staying at home with no assignments and studies to keep me busy. Most of my friends who had married earlier when marriage was a no-go area for me are today nursing their one or two children and I am in a way jealous

"ASUU and government can continue with their games, all I care about and I am worrying about now is to get married so that I will not fall into things I will end up regretting because I don’t even know what I will be going back to do if schools are to be reopened today. They have killed the interest in me and so many of school friends. My parents have now picked interest in giving me out in marriage."

A suspected thief who disguised as a woman was caught after he entered the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) solid rock Chapel in Lagos.

The suspected was caught on Thursday morning, June 30 in Ojodu area of the state.

The suspect was caught by a security guard on duty after he became suspicious of him.

The security guard was said to have confronted and searched him and consequently discovered he was a man dressed like a woman.

According to report, the actor died on Thursday morning, June 2 after a long battle with kidney failure.

Two locally made pistols with three live cartridges have been recovered from one Obinna Owoh aged 22 along Abakaliki Road and another Benedict Nwodo aged 29 for illegal possession of a Beretta pistol with one live round of .9mm calibre of ammunition.

Obinna Owoh was arrested by a combined team of Police Operatives drawn from Operation Restore Peace (ORP) and Enugu Metro Area Command on Sunday, May 29 in a commercial bus while Benedict Nwodo was arrested on Saturday, May 28 by police operatives serving in the Nsukka sector of the Command.

Obinna Owoh hails from Ntezi in Ishielu LGA of Ebonyi State, while Benedict Nwodo hails from Ugwuechara in Nsukka.

Comfirming the arrest, spokesperson of the command, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, in a statement on Wednesday, June 1 said the suspects shall be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded.

A woman has been apprehended by residents after the dead body of her husband was found lying inside thier bathroom.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning, May 29 at Ijoko area of Ogun State.

An unknown lady agreed to sleep with a dog for the sum of one million naira after being approached by a guy (Prankster) in what appears to be a prank video.

This is coming weeks after a video of a girl who had sex with a dog for one million naira went viral on social media.

According to their conversation gathered from the video by HGS Media Plus, the lady was asked by the prankster if she could sleep with a dog for one million and she said yes.

Nine children were reportedly injured after a vigilante member shot at them while playing football in Edo State.

The incident happened on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Enabulele Street, Ogida Quarters of Edo State.

HGS Media Plus gathered that the suspect, one Abdurahma Agbontaen angrily shot at the children after he had warned them to stop playing football in his area.

According to the suspect, the children had allegedly destroyed his properties in the past with their football.

It was also gathered that when the children paid deaf ears to his warning, the suspect angrily went into his house and brought out a pump-action automatic gun and shot at the children injuring nine of them.

The suspect was arrested for attempted murder and unlawful possession of firearm.

Confirming the incident, spokesperson of the Edo State police command, SP Bello Kontongs, said the injured kids were taken to Stella Obasanjo Hospital for treatment.

He added that the suspect's mental heath will be checked as investigation progresses.

Two thieves mysteriously fell asleep after breaking into the house of an elderly woman in Hammanskraal, Pretoria, South Africa.

A woman and her child has been rescued from the hands of her abusive husband.

Woman Confronts Man After She Caught Him Performing Ritual At Her Junction (video)

A woman was left in shock after she caught a man allegedly performing ritual at her junction.

The incident was said to have happened on Tuesday, April 5 at a junction in Abraham Adesanya Estate, Lekki area of Lagos.

According to the video, the woman on sighting him shouted ''Holy Ghost Fire''.

She asked him what he was doing, but the man ignored her. The man who could be seen barefooted went straight to where he kept his footwear, wore it and started working away.

The woman however continued to run after him and asked why he was performing ritual at her junction, but the man till kept mute and walked away.

No fewer than seven person have reportedly died in a fire outbreak that occurred at a filling station, (Al-masfa Global Enterprise Nigeria Ltd) on Monday, April 4, at about 6pm in Kaugama Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The victims identified as Nasiru Umar Garki, Abdulkadir Nura, Dahawi Garin Babale, Hamza Adamu, Sulaiman Garin Babale, Idris Adamu Jamaga and Salisu Garin Babale lost their lives.

The fire was said to have gutted the administration and accommodation building of the filling station when the victims were asleep, an eyewitness said.

Consequently, the seven victims lost their lives.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who confirmed the incident, said six persons lost their lives on the spot while another victim died while receiving treatment.

The cause of the fire is not known and an investigation is ongoing, he added.
