Two suspected land grabbers identified as Olaolu Fashina and Akinshola Oluwasanmi has been apprehended by the Ogun State police command.
The suspects were arrested on Monday, November 8 in Idiagbon community in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun state with offensive weapons.
Confirming the incident, he spokesman of the Ogun State police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said they received a distress call that unknown men suspected to be land grabbers, numbering about 60 and armed with dangerous weapons were attacking the village.
Upon sighting the police, the suspects started shooting sporadically, but the police pursued them and two were captured and arrested while others escaped.
Oyeyemi said the police were told that the village was under attack by men suspected to be land grabbers, numbering about 60 and armed with dangerous weapons.
Two live cartridges and a Bajaj motorcycle with the registration number TTD 472 VN were recovered from the suspects.
A man has been served a quit notice by his Landlord for bringing too many girls to his apartment.
The letter of quit notice has since gone viral after been shared online.
In the letter, the man was accused of prostitution, whereby bringing in different girls to his apartment.
The Landlord had issue a warning to desist from the act but to no avail. Consequently, his Landlord asked him to vacate the apartment by the end of this month, November as he can no longer accommodate his lifestyle.
The Kogi State police command has arrested a suspected armed robber and kidnapper with ammunition in Isanlu, Kogi state.
The command Public Relations Officer, DSP William Ovye Aya, in a press statement issued and made available to Tribune Online on Friday said operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Kogi Command attached to Isanlu Area Command while on stop and search operations led by ASP Ahmed Salihu along Irunda-Isanlu road have arrested one Umaru Muhammed 25 years of Lade a suspected member of a gang responsible for series of violent crimes including armed robbery, kidnapping around Isanlu and it’s environs.
According to him, the arrest was made possible following a report received from a patriotic citizen that some suspected criminal elements were sighted around Isanlu axis.
“The Police operatives promptly swung into action, trailed the suspects to Koro Village a boundary between Kogi and Kwara States where Umaru Muhammed was arrested, while other members of the gang escaped
“Some of the exhibits recovered from the suspect are, One Locally made gun using AK-47 rifle live ammunition, Two AK-47 live ammunition, One single Pump Action barrel gun, One matchet, dangerous local charms among others. The suspect confessed to the crime,” the statement added
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, (CP) Idrisu Dauda Dabban has reassured Kogites that the command is committed to ensuring adequate security of life and property in synergy with other security agencies in the State.
He enjoined members of the public to sharpen their power of observation and report any suspicious movement or activities around their neighbourhood to the Police or any other security agencies in the state.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned in court on completion of the investigation.

An Orphanage home in Jos, believed to be into illegal activities has been shut down by the National Agency For Trafficking In Person, (NAPTIP) and the owner arrested after discovering that two children were sold, HGS Media Plus learnt.
In a statement made by the agency on Wednesday, November, 3 2021 revealed that some officers of the Makurdi Zonal Command obstructed a woman who was with two children. According to her, she claimed she paid the sum of N70,000 each to adopt them from an orphanage.
After thorough investigation, the adoption lead to the illegal orphanage home "The Lord's Fellowship International" behind ECWA Church, Gurandok area in Jos and the owner, one Mr.Monday Daman was arrested.
It was said that the Mr. Monday goes into different villages in states like Borno, Adamawa, Taraba and Plateau that has crisis issues to deceive the families of these children that he will put them in school and then he sells them out to other people.
Also,about 67 adults and children were found in the orphanage home when NAPTIP did a thorough search in a three bedroom apartment been used to operate the orphanage home.
Consequently, the apartment was sealed up while some of the members of the families of the children have been traced and the children reunited. Some of the children were also handed over to the Plateau State Ministry of Women Affairs.

Two armed robbery suspect has been arrested by the Delta State police during a stop and search duty along Ughelli in Warri. HGS Media Plus report.
The suspects identified as Kelly Ogoja age 35yrs of Adabrasa community Okpe and Joseph Samuel age 26 of Osubi Community were apprehended by the Eagle net patrol team while trying to escape.
According to report, the suspects were in a vinto car with Reg No. UGH 14 ND with four other occupants when the patrol team on stop and search duty intercepted them. The suspects were said to have jumped out of the car and ran into a nearby bush where they were later caught after being chased by the police.
Upon searching them, a locally made gun was discovered from one of the suspects, Kelly Ogoja. The suspects are currently in police custody as investigation is being carried out.

A Kenya mother on Monday night, October 18 reportedly hacked her 7-year-old daughter with a machete for refusing to wash dishes, HGS Media Plus report.
The incident was said to have happened at Kitoi village in Kunyak, Kipkelion West sub-county of Kenya.
It was learnt that the mother asked her daughter to wash the dishes but she refused and as a result angered the mother who then picked up a machete and hit her on the head.

Man Commits Suicide Over Alleged Incestuous Relationship With His 16-year-old Niece in Edo
A man has committed suicide by hanging himself in an uncompleted building in Iyowa community in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, HGS Media Plus report.
The deceased identified as Benjamin was discovered on Tuesday, October 19 while still hanged from the suicide rope.
It was said that the deceased was allegedly having incestuous relationship with his 16-years-old niece identified as Ejiro before he took the decision of taking his own life.
According to reports, the deceased and his niece was said to have lived in the home of their relatives for some years. It was said that the deceased and his niece have been in a suspicious relationship before it finally blew out to the open.
Consequently, the deceased took his own life at the back of their home due to possible shame and embarrassment it would bring to the name of the family.
However, the father of the deceased open up to have be told about his son's relationship with his niece three days before the unfortunate event, which was said to have led to a quarrel between the mother of the deceased and mother of the girl.

Scavenger Kills Landlord For Preventing Him From Picking Iron Rods In His Compound
One Arise Ikuesan, 45, a Landlord was killed by a scavenger identified as Basiru Ibrahim, 39 for preventing him from picking scraps from his compound in Ondo State.
The suspect, Basiru was arrested by the Ondo State police after he committing the crime on Monday, September 13 in Ore, the headquaters of Odigbo Local Government Area of the State.
The Landlord was said to have died from an injury he sustained from an Iron rod the suspect used in hitting him on his forehead which he had prevented him from carrying from his compound.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Funmi Odulami who confirmed the incident said the landlord was attacked for trying to stop the scavenger from picking scraps in his compound.
The suspect has been charged to court for prosecution.

Two children have survived a ghastly motor accident that took the life of their mother identified as Memuna in Jigawa State.
According to report, the accident happened on Wednesday, October 12 in Baura Local Government Area of Jigawa enroute kano where the mother and her two children were said to have took off from.
it was reported that the children sustained minor injuries and are currently receiving treatment in Babura hospital.
Although, no relatives have come to calm the children as at the time of filing this report.
A video of a man who tried to poison his friend's drink in what appears to be restaurant while he left his drink to use the restroom is currently making round online.
A twitter user, Dayo Chino @dayochino who shared the video via his Twitter handle revealed that the man and his friend went out to have fun, while they they eating, the man's friend went into the restroom to pee only for the man to poison his drink while he was away.
unfortunately, some people in the restaurant caught him and then he was forced to consume the said drink he had poisoned and being beaten mercilessly.

A young man identified as Derick a.k.a Donwany and his girlfriend has died in a ghastly motor accident that occurred on Monday night in front of a Hotel, (Prominent) in Amukpe, Sapele in Delta State, HGS Media Plus reports.
