Two patients at a Lagos hospital were caught pants down having s*xual intercourse, disregarding the purpose for which there were there in the first place. Photos of a man and woman caught pants down having sex in a Lagos hospital have emerged online and has gone viral. According to reports, the patients became love birds instead of concentrating on receiving the medical treatments that brought them to the hospital and decided to treat each other in the language only both of them understood. They were caught by hospital officials while they were engaged in the illicit act. See another photo below; http://www.tori.ng/news/15688/caught-in-the-act-two-patients-nabbed-having-sx-in.html

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, warned on Thursday that it would be disastrous for the All Progressives Congress-led government to fail Nigerians. He said Nigerians placed so much hope on the APC’s government to salvage the country, a reason they fought so hard to end the 16-year reign of the Peoples Democratic Party. Dogara spoke in Abuja when he received the Governor of Bauchi State, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar, at the National Assembly. “Our people have witnessed bad leadership, especially in the last eight years. “It will be a disaster if we don’t save this situation,” he told the governor. The speaker cited the case of Bauchi State, where he recalled that the support of the people for the APC during this year’s polls was overwhelming. He added, “Everybody knows the passion of our people in Bauchi State. “They embraced us against all odds, because they feared the kind of situation in which they found themselves under the last regime and they needed change and thank God we came with this promise of change. “To be candid, God has set for us the platform through which we can deliver this change. “Today, 12 of our members are all of the APC; three of our senators are all of the APC. We have a governor who with the whole of his team, are all members of the APC. “Thank God and thanks also to President Muhammadu Buhari, who really saw the kind of love the people exhibited in the course of the campaigns. And to be candid, in his own way, he has discharged all the burden a father can do to his supporters or children.” He called for unity among the various groups in the state and asked them to back the APC -led government to deliver the change to them. Abubakar had earlier commended the speaker for the manner he had been able to stabilise the House in the last six months. http://www.punchng.com/itll-be-disaster-if-apc-fails-nigerians-dogara/

There was an unprecedented variety of excellent dramas this year… as well as an unprecedented amount of them. But with the range of tone, genre, casting, styles of writing and direction — this was truly a ripe year for drama, spreading across network, basic and premium cable, and streaming as well. Here are my picks for the best of them. (1) FARGO (FX): For its bravura storytelling, its beautiful direction, its exceptionally deep-talent cast, its wit, and its heart, Fargo in its second season is the drama to extol above all others this year. The satisfyingly complex “true” tale of crime, family, and crime families in the frigid Midwest, Fargo burst every week with vivid characterizations, zinger jokes, impeccable 70s music cues, and a rare sense of constant surprise. (2) Mr. ROBOT (USA): The year’s most stylistically adventurous drama presented each episode like a mini-movie — the most adventurous American kind, bending narrative form in the manner of directors such as Robert Altman and the Davids Lynch and Fincher. Creator Sam Esmail compelled us to follow his unreliable narrator, Rami Malek’s Elliot, down the darkest avenues of corporate behavior, presenting an anarchist fantasy that played like reality. (3) JUSTIFIED (FX): What a great way to end a great run. Timothy Olyphant and Elmore Leonard-channeler Graham Yost brought the Raylan Givens saga to an end with a final season that brought the show back to its deepest roots: the fundamental feud between Raylan and Walton Goggins’ Boyd Crowder. This show, with its brilliant casting and snaking storylines, never got the award-love it deserved, but it stayed true to its code of tight-lipped excellence. (4) THE AMERICANS (FX): This was the season that tested the premise of The Americans — Russian spies living in 1980s suburbia — to its limits. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys’ Elizabeth and Philip Jennings were forced to come clean to daughter Paige (Holly Taylor), but they still have blood on their hands. (5) THE LEFTOVERS (HBO): In its second season, the rich drama about loss, grief, and the unities of various kinds of families increased its outreach, exploring more characters’ points of view while giving Justin Theroux’s Kevin Garvey and Carrie Coons’s Nora Durst more challenges than two people ought to be able to endure. That they did is a measure of this show’s belief in strength and endurance. HBO, renew The Leftovers now. (6) THE KNICK (Cinemax): This turn-of-the-century medical show commenced with harrowing scenes of its anti-hero, Clive Owen’s Dr. John Thackery trying to kick his addictions, and concluded with the show’s most shocking operation ever. In between, director-producer-cinematographer Steven Soderbergh continued to expand the series’ exploration of city politics, sexual politics, racial politics, and the belief systems of an ever-widening group of characters. (7) HOMELAND (Showtime): Anticipating headlines out of Syria and espionage in Germany, the current season of Homeland is more scary and more disciplined in its storytelling than at any previous time since the start of its first season, and Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, and Miranda Otto as Berlin CIA station chief have given exceptional performances. ( RECTIFY (Sundance TV): This beautiful drama, whose pace and quietness is unique on television, deepened the story of accused killer Daniel Holden (Aden Young), and his family’s ardent yet always-tested support of him. It’s a measure of how vividly all the principal characters are drawn by show creator Ray McKinnon that I’d watch a spin-off of any of them, especially Abigail Spencer’s flinty Amantha.(9) EMPIRE (Fox): This fun-filled music-industry soap-opera worked as melodrama and as satire, with superb performances from Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard. Henson’s Cookie became such a pop-culture phenomenon, the show risked turning into a mere trend, but at its best, creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong ground the show in the firm grasp of family dynamics. (10) THE GOOD WIFE (CBS): Always willing to shake things up, show creators Robert and Michelle King decided to have Chris Noth’s Peter run for President, with all the campaign intrigue that entails, even as Julianna Margulies’ Alicia struck out on her own with a home-based law firm that turns up as least as much trouble as it does clients. Which is just the way we like The Good Wife. (11) BETTER CALL SAUL (AMC): Spin-offs from big-hit cultural markers are most often disappointments. But in extracting Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad, monkeying with the time-line, and giving him an eccentric brother (Michael McKean), Better Call Saul took on its own tone, its own rhythm, its own distinctive set of dramatic priorities that rendered it an engrossing, completely different creation than Bad. (12) RAY DONOVAN (Showtime): The third season gave Liev Shreiber’s strong-arm bag-man Ray a couple of flaky, dangerous new clients (guest stars Ian McShane and Katie Holmes) and frequently seemed on the verge of splitting into different shows-within-the-show: boxing drama, religious drama, a tale of abuse-survival. Yet the show ended up a unified whole, a strikingly original example of L.A. noir. (13) MARVEL'S JESSICA JONES (Netflix): She’s got super-strength, but Krysten Ritter’s title character is no spandex-bursting superhero. She’s a wily private eye coping with a lot of emotional damage, finding brief comfort in sex with Mike Colter’s Luke Cage, but that ends up just complicating her life even further. This was the year’s most satisfyingly complex new superhero drama. (Kudos to Supergirl, though, for capturing a slightly lighter side of feminist crime-fighting with great energy.) (14) BANSHEE (Cinemax): When I saw all the acclaim Netflix’s Daredevil was getting for its fight scenes, I thought, “Have these people not seen Banshee?” From its bare-knuckle brawls to its elaborately choreographed shoot-em-ups, this wonderfully weird saga of crime in Pennsylvania Amish country was the year’s most action-packed show. https://www.yahoo.com/tv/best-tv-dramas-2015-fargo-empire-jessica-jones-152310660.html

Putin takes his revenge as Russian forces launched at least a dozen airstrikes against insurgent-held areas near the Turkey-Syria border where the Sukhoi SU-24 fighter jet was shot down by the Turkish army yesterday. Check it out: Heavy bombardment hit areas controlled by Turkmen rebels, the group claiming to have shot and killed one of the pilots of the Russian jet as he parachuted out of the flaming wreckage, and attempted to kill his co-pilot. The rebel group released a video showing them cheering and chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ as they discovered the body of Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Peshkov, who will now receive Russia’s highest state honour posthumously. President Vladimir Putin today confirmed that the surviving pilot, identified as Captain Konstantin Murahtin, had been rescued by Russian military in a 12-hour long joint operation with Syrian government forces, and taken to a Russian air base. He also responded by deploying one of the most fearsome weapons in the Russian military arsenal – the S-400 anti-aircraft system. The highly advanced missile system is capable of downing aircraft 250 miles away that are travelling at a height of 60,000 ft. However, in a statement released this evening, Turkey claimed it had no idea the jet violating its airspace was Russian. At least 12 air strikes hit Latakia’s northern countryside as pro-government forces clashed with fighters from al Qaeda’s Nusra Front and Turkmen insurgents in the Jabal Akrad and Jabal Turkman areas, the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. A commander of the Turkmen, ethnic Turks who are Syrian citizens, said missiles fired from Russian warships in the Mediterranean were also hitting the area, as well as heavy artillery shelling. Hassan Haj Ali, the head of Liwa Suqour al-Jabal, a rebel group operating in western Syria, also said there were fierce battles in the area, with Russian aircraft supporting pro-government forces. Another local rebel leader, Jahed Ahmad, says the Russians appear to be taking ‘revenge’ for the plane’s downing by Turkey, a key backer of the rebels in the area. Speaking from inside Syria via Skype on Wednesday, he says the Russian jets were providing cover for advancing Syrian ground forces and their Lebanese Hezbollah allies. Speaking after his rescue, Cpt. Murahtin flatly denied there were any warnings from Turkish F16 pilots that his plane was about to be shot out of the sky, despite audio recordings of the warnings and confirmation that they were broadcast by U.S. military. ‘There was no warning, by radio exchange nor visually. There was no contact at all,’ he said. ‘The Turks did not get in touch with us.’ ‘We were flying at about 6,000-metre altitude. The weather was sunny, what we call “million-by-million”,’ he said. ‘All the flight before the moment when the missile exploded was completely under my control. I could clearly see with the map and visually where the borders were and where we were. Speaking at an impromtu press conference at the Russian Hemeimeem air base in Syria after his rescue, he claimed that there ‘wasn’t even a threat of entering Turkish airspace’. ‘If they wanted to warn us, they could have showed themselves by flying at a parallel course. But there was nothing. ‘And the missile hit the tail of our plane all of a sudden. We didn’t see it visually. To have enough time to do an anti-missile manoeuvre.’ Cpt Murahtin told of how he landed in rebel held territory where he spent several hours hiding in a forest’ before being found using his radio beacon. He was rescued after an 18-strong Syrian SWAT team backed by six fighters from the elite division of Shia Hezbollah movement, and then spirited to the Hemeimeem air base. After ejecting and parachuting to rebel held territory, he spent several hours hiding in a forest before being found using his radio beacon. He was then spirited to the Hemeimeem air base. He is appealing to his commanders to allow him to remain in Syria after his close shave with death. ‘Of course, I can’t wait to return. I will ask my commander to let me stay at this airbase. I have a debt to repay to the commander.’ Wow, what an amazing soldier. It is great that he wants to stay and continue to fight. Agree of Disagree with Putin, you have to admire him for having a spine- something Obama is severely lacking. http://rightwingnews.com/world/putin-takes-his-revenge-russia-unleashes-bombardment-on-region-held-by-rebels-who-killed-his-men/

AceRoyal:Politicians lie. Get over it. If you think anyone could get ahead in politics without a few untruths, you're lying to yourself. |
Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State on Tuesday denied reports that he removed 15 chairmen of local governments from office for defecting to the rival All Progressives Congress (APC). Wada took to social media and wrote: “It is a lie that I sacked LGA Chairmen for defecting from the PDP. This story is not true.” “The LGA were removed by a Kotun-karfe court about 11 months ago. The party went to the court of appeal & court order they be returned.” “I only reinstated the LGA Chairmen as directed by the Appeal Court.” http://africanspotlight.com/2015/11/24/i-did-not-sack-15-council-chairmen-for-defecting-to-apc-wada/

For most couples with children, just getting through each week requires almost all of their time and energy. And it never seems to let up – just when they think things might be getting a bit easier, the next phase of parenthood rolls in and presents its requirements and demands. Add in job, home and community responsibilities, and most parents are completely tapped out by the end of each week. If you’re in that position, you probably know how easy it is to lose track of the ‘couple’ part of your life. If you’re looking for ways to build a strong marriage in the midst of the chaos of daily life, these are suggested ways to stay connected with your spouse even when life gets crazy: (1) Establish your marriage as the primary relationship in your family. If you value your marriage and want to keep it strong, set a priority to establish it as the centre of your family life. You won’t be taking anything away from your children; instead, you’ll be adding to their sense of security and helping them understand what it takes to create a lasting marriage. (2) Control your family’s schedule, rather than letting it control you. Many couples don’t think carefully about the time and energy required to participate in sports, lessons, clubs, and volunteer work. As a result, those activities end up devouring most of the family’s resources. Yes, you and your children are going to be involved in activities, but you don’t have to be involved in every activity. So sit down with your spouse and decide what’s reasonable in terms of your family’s time, energy and resources. (3) Make time to talk every day. When things get busy, it’s easy to go for days without talking about anything other than pick-up times and errands. So be intentional about talking with your spouse for 15-20 minutes every day about what’s going on in both of your lives. Ideally, establish a set time to do this – in the morning, right after work, before bed, or whatever works for the two of you. (4) Go to bed at the same time. Go to bed at the same time every night if possible but at least several times a week. Going to bed together allows you to talk and unwind and paves the way for sex and intimacy. (5) Make love regularly. Yes, it takes some time and energy, both of which are in short supply. But it’s critical if you want to stay connected as a couple. And it doesn’t always have to take a lot of time – while a long romantic interlude is great, sometimes a quick romp provides all the connection you need! (6) Do some everyday tasks or errands together. Once children come along, couples often divide and conquer the tasks of everyday life. She gets stuff from the market and runs by the children’s school; he drops off the dry cleaning and picks up a refilled cylinder of gas. It’s efficient, but boring. So once in a while, do some of those tasks together. Ask a relative or friend to watch the kids for a couple of hours while you run some errands. Then do something fun on the way home, like stopping for a glass of wine. http://leadership.ng/style/476239/ways-to-build-a-strong-marriage-even-when-life-gets-crazy

Handsome Ghanaian actor and father of two, Majid Michel says he admires working with the duo of Nadia Buari and Genevieve Nnaji. He also added that he has a crush on US-based singer, Rihanna. “I really love acting with Nadia Buhari. Nadia is one of my favourites because of her deep understanding of the act. She really understands all the tricks of what acting is all about. She understands her character very well, so, it makes something called the feedback loop, it’s an acting term; it makes it easier for you as an actor. In Nigeria, I like to work with Genevieve. For my female celebrity crush, she is not an actress but a music star. Her name is Rihanna,” the actor told Encomium magazine in a recent interview. Continuing, he said, “I know Rihanna is a bad girl but God brought me here to make her good.” Majid, who has been married for about 10 years, shared the secret of his successful marriage. “You need information about marriage. You need to take a test on marriage. Marriage is the only institution you get your certificate before the test. You need information before you get into marriage. Love does not keep a marriage; divorced people will tell you that. What happens to; I love you, but we used to be in love. Love does not keep a marriage and sex is not a glue. Love and Sex never keep a marriage. “It is knowledge and understanding. You need to know about marriage, you tell a girl or a guy I love you, but do you love marriage? They’re two different things. If a guy tells you I love you, and when you tell him let’s get married, he is running away, because love and marriage are different. Marriage is an institution, telling somebody a vow is not a marriage. It is a building that both of you are going to be in. The key element is knowledge, because knowledge is information and you need to have lots of information about marriage, then you understand these information, you comprehend them and you tell yourself; I am ready to do it. Not because I love her, but because I am ready to help her achieve her dreams. “I’m ready to make our dreams come true with her. She is your help to accomplish your purpose. We stop making babies and grownups believe the first thing you need is a girlfriend or a boyfriend. That is not what you need; the first thing you need is the presence of God. Not a man or a woman, it is not about relationships, it is about God. The aim and the target has been lost, the reason and the purpose of our existence has been lost,” he said. Source: Nigeriafilms

speedyGonzales:Its not a fake news bro. Russia, America and Europe are the initiator, coordinator and sponsor of ISIS. Who supply the arms to ISIS? Who are those buying cheap oil from ISIS which they use to sustain their operations? Are you people not surprised that it took france less than two hours to locate ISIS training camp in syria after Paris attack? Don't you think ISIS group breach the terms of agreement by attacking paris? May God save the third world countries from western hypocrisy, and imperialistic mindset. |
Jezyfreezman:They freely dropped weapons to the rebels in Iraq, Libya and Syria. Supported them with all they need and training. They never hide this. They never hide their support to these rebels. French President confirmed supporting Syrian rebels. And who are the rebels? When the media captured US dropping arms to ISIS, Washington said it was a mistake. They are funded by selling their crude from captured oil fields. The question is, who buys the crude? They keep saying they will cut their access to funds which tells us they know where the funds are coming from, but do nothing yet. When I heard cameron repeating the same statement of limiting their access to funds after Paris attack, I said to myself, same old story. |
Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday dropped a bombshell when he alleged that the dreaded Islamic State (ISIS) is being funded by 40 countries including some members of the G20 countries. Putin who spoke at the ongoing G20 meeting in Turkey said he had shared intelligence with the other G20 member states, which reveals that ISIS finances the majority of its terrorist activities with support from these countries and that, surprisingly, the countries include a number of G20 countries. He said, “I provided examples based on our data on the financing of different Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) units by private individuals. This money, as we have established, comes from 40 countries and there are some of the G20 members among them.” In addition to discussing the need to stop the flow of donor money to ISIS, Putin also reiterated the need to stop the illegal oil trade by ISIS. “I’ve shown our colleagues photos taken from space and from aircraft which clearly demonstrate the scale of the illegal trade in oil and petroleum products. The motorcade of refuelling vehicles stretched for dozens of kilometres, so that from a height of 4,000 to 5,000 metres they stretch beyond the horizon,” Putin added. The Islamic State makes about $50 million a month from selling crude from captured oilfields in Iraq and Syria, according to Iraqi intelligence and U.S. officials. A report by Business Insider said: “Oil sales — the extremists’ largest single source of continual income — are a key reason they have been able to maintain their rule over their self-declared “caliphate” stretching across large parts of Syria and Iraq. “With the funds to rebuild infrastructure and provide the largesse that shore up its fighters’ loyalty, it has been able to withstand ground fighting against its opponents and more than a year of bombardment in the U.S.-led air campaign.” Putin, who also addressed the press at the conference, went on to stress that an international coalition was needed to more effectively counter the terrorist group, noting Russia’s readiness to support the fight against ISIS. “Some armed opposition groups consider it possible to begin active operations against IS with Russia’s support. And we are ready to provide such support from the air. If it happens it could become a good basis for the subsequent work on a political settlement,” Putin said. “We really need support from the US, European nations, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran,” the Russian president added. Reports suggest that the Russian intelligence analysis of the 40 nations funding the ISIS terror machine were relayed to diplomats attending the G20 summit – but were not released to the media, nor the general public. “We will keep you updated if/when the names of the ISIS supporting states are leaked,” Putin said. Members of the G20 group of advanced countries are gathered at Antalya, Turkey, in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, France, which claimed more than 129 lives, with over 300 injured. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks. http://leadership.ng/news/475170/isis-funded-by-40-countries-including-g20-members-putin

IF MEN WERE GOD! “Once INEC announces the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan, we will immediately shut down the Port Harcourt International Airport and all land and sea borders in Rivers State to prevent Rotimi Amaechi from escaping. We will arrest him” “Does he (Amaechi) think we don’t know that he is planning to run away? But he and his cohorts will not succeed. All they can do thereafter is to lock themselves inside the Government House and at the appropriate time, we will go there and pick them up one after the other. - Nyesom Wike, Feb 22, 2015. When Nyesom Wike made the above arrogant statements, he felt he was god or a demi-god in Rivers state. Now, the Almighty in His Infinite wisdom, mercy and favour has turned the tables around, and put Amaechi in charge of air, land and sea not only of Rivers state, but of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Now, the one who was to be prevented from traveling is now in charge of Air, Land and Sea in Nigeria. Food for thought brethren: Do not blow your own trumpet, do not exert power unnecessarily over others, especially the innocent. When in a position of power guard you mouth with humility.

1. If your child lies to you often, it is because you over-react too harshly to their inappropriate behavior. 2. If your child is not taught to confide in you about their mistakes, you have lost them. 3. If your child had poor self-esteem, it is because you advice them more than you encourage them. 4. If your child does not stand up for themselves, it is because from a young age you have disciplined them regularly in public. 5. If your child takes things that do not belong to them, it is because when you buy them things, you don't let them chose what they want. 6. If your child is cowardly, it is because you help them too quickly. 7. If your child does not respect other people's feelings, it is because instead of speaking to your child, you order and command them. 8. If your child is too quick to anger, it is because you give too much attention to misbehaviour and you give little attention to good behaviour. 9. If your child is excessively jealous, it is because you only congratulate them when they successfully complete something and not when they improve at something even if they don't successfully complete it. 10. If your child intentionally disturbs you, it is because you are not physically affectionate enough. 11. If your child is openly defiant, it is because you openly threaten to do something but don't follow through. 12. If your child is secretive, it is because they don't trust that you won't blow things out of proportion. 13. If your child talks back to you, it is because they watch you do it to others and think its normal behaviour. 14. If your child doesn't listen to you but listens to others, it is because you are too quick to make decisions. 15. If your child rebels it is because they know you care more about what others think than what is right. Some true, some just take with a pinch of salt. |

The arrest and arraignment of Fatai Abiola Babatunde in a court of law about two years ago seems not to have deterred him from engaging in criminal activities, as he has been arrested again by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Oyo/Ogbomoso annexe in Oyo State Police Command. Babatunde (34) was rearrested on October 15, 2015 in Ilorin, Kwara State in the residence of a Quranic teacher where he was trailed to, after the SARS operatives, led by the Officer-in-Charge, Olusola Aremu, got information on his whereabouts. Crime Reports learnt that Babatunde ran to Ilorin when he learnt that the operatives were after him. Speaking with Crime Reports on the arrest of the suspect, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, said that about four posh cars, including a Honda CRV (2012 model) with registration number KWL 280 CN, Toyota Camry with registration number LSR 418 DJ, Nissan Altima with registration number KJA 963 CA and Ford Focus with registration number KRD 837 DQ, were recovered from Babatunde, who could not give account of a lawful means of livelihood. This, he added, raised the suspicion of his being involved in armed robbery. The police commissioner also revealed that the suspect was involved in internet fraud, and had confessed to successfully hacking into the bank accounts of several victims. Oyebade, however, said that his men were already on the trail of the suspect’s gang members while investigation was being carried out to get more facts about his operations. Crime Reports learnt that Babatunde was once charged to court for being a receiver of a stolen vehicle but was granted bail at the High Court, Ogbomoso. But the police got information that he was into a worse crime, so SARS started monitoring him. It was further learnt he had just built a shopping complex, with no tangible evidence of means of livelihood to back his wealth. On the day he was trailed to the court premises at Ogbomoso, it was gathered that the suspect abandoned his vehicle, a Ford Focus, when he got a hint that the police were after him. He was reported to have run to the house of an Islamic teacher in Ilorin where he was arrested. In an interview with Babatunde, he opened up to Crime Reports thus: “I am a yahoo boy. I started with ONLINE DATING to dupe unsuspecting foreign ladies, but when I was not getting enough, I went into hacking accounts of international banks. Recently, I got $10,000. I achieved this through spamming by knowing companies with high tax return. I hacked into such accounts. I would pass the fund through the account of a foreigner I was dating online and she would send it to me in Nigeria, wrapped with clothes and sent through a courier company as a parcel. “I was also into auto sales, but only on demand. I have a customer from the Northern part of Nigeria who used to come to me whenever he needed a vehicle and I would go to Cotonou, Republic of Benin to buy for him. “I also did money rituals. I didn’t know what the native doctor I went to used to prepare the rituals but I paid him N200,000 for the job. “Since then, I used to get N2 million every 23 days in my wardrobe. I was also told that I will not be able to have children because of the ritual. “I bought the vehicles found with me. The Honda CRV 2012 model was purchased online and it was shipped to Nigeria. I paid over 18,000 dollars for it. The Nissan Altima was given to me by my elder brother. I bought the Ford Focus from a dealer. I bought the Toyota Camry from someone at Igando, Lagos State and had sold it to one Azeez over a year ago.” Speaking on the N2.4 million found in his car, the suspect said he wanted to go to Dubai to import lightings. “Part of the money – N1.5 million – was given to me by a man, Alhaji Umoru, who wanted me to get him a vehicle. The man went to Saudi Arabia on pilgrimage but I am yet to hear from him. I tried his number but it was not going through. I don’t know his residence so I dint know how to trace him,” he claimed. But efforts of the police to verify his claims proved abortive as the phone number he gave as his brother’s was unreachable, while that of the supposed owner of N1.5 million which formed part of the cash found on him could not also be reached. The native doctor, who is physically-challenged, however denied performing money ritual for Babatunde. The Quranic teacher also said that “I knew Fatai during the last Ileya festival. He was introduced to me by Gbenga who said Fatai told him that he wanted me to offer prayers for him. I went to him in Ogbomoso and he told me he used to have bad dreams and he was even the one who told me the Qu’ranic verses to use for the prayers. He gave me N5,000. “On the day he was arrested in my house, Fatai called me and said I should describe how he could get to my house in Ilorin. I did. He came and told me that he needed an emergency prayer. We conducted the prayer and just as we ended it, police came. He told me he was a businessman.” Gbenga Abdulazeez Moses (28), a rewire technician who worked on two of the suspect’s vehicles and introduced him to the Quranic teacher, also told Crime Reports that Babatunde used to come to his workshop in Ilorin to correct wiring problems in his Ford and Nissan Altima cars, saying that he never suspected him of any crime until his arrest. http://nigeriacamera.net/see-yahoo-boy-who-used-to-get-n2-million-every-23-days-in-his-wardrobe-and-was-told-will-never-bear-any-children/

Presiding Bishop of Lighthouse Chapel International, Dag Heward- Mills has bemoaned the hypocrisy of Christians when it comes to having sexual intercourse. According to him, some Christians when fasting or getting ready for church see having sex as an evil thing. The Outspoken Bishop said such posture is deceitful because there is nothing wrong with couples having sex before going to church. Citing himself as an example, Bishop Heward-Mills said “I have sex anytime I’m going to preach because it is a powerful tension reliever”. He also debunked the assertions that it is medically wrong to have sex with a woman while in her monthly period. In the Bishop’s view, a couple can have sex if the woman washes the blood off and the man uses a condom to prevent any infection. “If you are in your period, just wash the blood away and have sex” he stated. The Light House Presiding Bishop also cautioned wives who wish to satisfy their husbands orally “not to bite the penis while sucking it”. Dag Heward-Mills urged Christians to quit the holier than thou attitude and fulfil their marital obligations. http://www.m.adomonline.com/marticles/opinion/i-have-sex-anytime-im-going-to-preach--hewardmills

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has filed an appeal at the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal, asking the court to set aside the judgment of the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal which nullified his election on October 24, 2015. In a notice of appeal dated November 3, 2015 and filed same day by his lawyer, Mr. Emmanuel Ukala (SAN), the governor raised 26 grounds of appeal upon which he sought to set aside the tribunal judgment. The governor is challenging the entire judgment. He joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Peterside and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as respondents. He asked the court to allow the appeal and to make an order setting aside the judgment/decision of the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal. He further urged the Court of Appeal to make an “order striking out or dismissing the petition filed on May 3, 2015 by Peterside and the APC.” The governor in his notice of appeal stated: “Take notice that the appellant being dissatisfied with the decision of the Governorship Election Tribunal for Rivers State sitting in Abuja, contained in the judgment of the tribunal led by Justice Suleiman Ambrosa (chairman), Justice Wesley Ibrahim Leha (member) and Hon. Justice Bayo Taiwo (member ) sitting in Court No. 23 of the FCT High Court dated October 24, 2015, doth hereby appeal to the Court of Appeal upon the grounds set out in paragraph 3 and will at the hearing seek the reliefs set out in paragraph 4.” Wike among other grounds noted that the tribunal erred in law when it relied on hearsay and inadmissible evidence to nullify his election. He added that the finding and conclusion of the tribunal was not supported by evidence before the court. The governor stated in his notice of appeal: “The Governorship Election Tribunal for Rivers State erred in law when it refused to follow the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Kakih vs PDP (2014) 5 NWLR which was duly cited to it to the effect that a party who makes non-voting or misconduct of an election the pivot of his case must call at least one disenfranchised voter from each of the polling booths or units or stations in the constituency.” Wike also faulted the tribunal’s decision nullifying his election on the basis of card reader accreditation even though the Electoral Act recognised manual accreditation. According to him, the proof of accreditation of voters under the law is by the production of the register of voters bearing the indications of the presiding officer as to the persons accredited to vote and not by card reader report. The governor said: “The tribunal wrongly neglected, failed and refused to abide by and follow the binding decision of the Court of Appeal in APC vs Olujimi Agbaje : Appeal No: CA/L/EP/GOV./751A/2015 (unreported ) delivered on 26th August, which was duly cited to it and thereby came to a wrong conclusion.” He added that the petitioners at the tribunal failed to disclose any reasonable cause of action against the respondents and the tribunal failed to conduct a pre-trial conference after the removal of the first chairman, hence the tribunal erred in its judgment. The governor stated: “The tribunal wrongly countenanced the testimony of delegates of subpoenaed witnesses which basically constitutes an indirect alteration of or addition to the statement of facts of the petition without the leave of the court. The testimony of these witnesses runs counter to the pleaded case of the petitioners and contradict the rest of the evidence of the petitioners witnesses in several material particulars.” http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/wike-asks-appeal-court-to-set-aside-tribunal-s-judgment-nullifying-his-election/224714/#.Vjrv0YrKSa4.facebook

RECTIFY (Sundance TV): This beautiful drama, whose pace and quietness is unique on television, deepened the story of accused killer Daniel Holden (Aden Young), and his family’s ardent yet always-tested support of him. It’s a measure of how vividly all the principal characters are drawn by show creator Ray McKinnon that I’d watch a spin-off of any of them, especially Abigail Spencer’s flinty Amantha.
