PoliticsHenceforth, There Will Be A Level Playing Field At Party Primaries – PDP Nationa by donogaga(op): 10:46am On Nov 04, 2015
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is not the party you used to know. The party said on Tuesday that having realized its past mistakes, primaries would no longer be hijacked by money bags and very influential members of the party.

The national leadership of the party also said henceforth, party primaries would be zero expenses to allow for the poor and very popular as well as acceptable candidates, adding that it was prepared to take the party to the people in line with the motto of the party.

“Our intention is to make our primaries zero expensive, so that nobody will induce anybody. My agenda is to revolutionize the party so that the idea of money bag controlling the party will be eliminated. We want every member to participate in the party activities by paying their dues. Through this, we can eliminate the class syndrome and bring the party to the people. The party belong to all and should not be in the hands of few money bag. The party must be returned to the people,” Acting National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, said when the Resident Country Director of International Republican Institute (IRI), Sentell Barnes paid him a visit at the party’s National Secretariat.

According to the PDP acting National Chairman, biometric membership registration was designed by the party to show that the era of few money bags controlling the party was over, adding that members of the party should pay their dues as the party leadership has decided to take PDP back to the people.

The party also disclosed that as the country prepares for Kogi State and Bayelsa State gubernatorial elections slated for November 21 and December 5 respectively, it has concluded arrangements to improve on the provision of effective situation rooms for the monitoring of the elections.

He hailed the new chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu. However, he urged him to be fair in the conduct of Kogi and Bayelsa state governorship elections.
Prince Uche Secondus disclosed that the party will train staff in collaboration with IRI. However, he warned staff members against the sale of document to outsiders, adding, “We said it clearly that INEC must follow its rules, provide level playing field to all parties. If the commission is playing outside its rule, we will draw the attention of Nigeria to it. We believe in Nigeria Constitution, we believe in INEC Act, but we want INEC to conduct free and fair election in Kogi and Bayelsa. We want an improvement on the conduct of the last general elections”.

InvestmentWhy We Suspended Mortgage Financing – Federal Mortgage Bank Of Nigeria (FMBN) by donogaga(op): 10:21am On Nov 04, 2015
The managing director/chief executive officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Mr Gimba Ya’u Kumo, has hinged the suspension of mortgage financing on corruption which he said was not limited to developers or the housing sector alone.

In an interview with LEADERSHIP in Abuja, he noted that FMBN discovered instances where developers collected money for such projects and diverted it adding that FMBN concentrated only on mortgage financing pending the unveiling of new under -writing standard.

According to him, “What we do at the moment is that if we are disbursing like N100, apart from the land, the developer will first of all make 15 per cent equity commitment on the project before we disburse our 15 per cent.”

Kumo noted that after disbursing the 15 per cent that they would evaluate the progress of work before disbursing another 10 per cent stressing that the essence was to checkmate project delays caused by developers.

“We have agreed that after flagging off a construction that we will be visiting the project sites in groups accompanied by media organisations so that each developer will tell Nigerians how much he collected and we will evaluate if the fund was used judiciously.

He said since FMBN is the only institution in Nigeria that offers single digit facility for construction there was no enough money to address the requirement of the developers. Kumo added, “We are coming up with a policy whereby construction and mortgage finance has to be single digit before we address the housing problems.”

InvestmentNCC Okays Renewal Of MTN Mobile Licence For N18.8bn by donogaga(op): 9:45am On Nov 04, 2015
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has approved the renewal, and consequent extension of the tenure of MTN Nigeria’s operating spectrum in the 900MHz and 1800MHz frequency bands for a period of five years for N18.8 billion ($94.2 million).

With this, MTN’s operating spectrum which was issued along with the Digital Mobile Licence (DML) in 2001 with an original expiry date of 31 August 2016 has now been extended to 31stAugust, 2021.

The license extension notification was contained in a letter dated 2 November, 2015, and signed by the acting executive vice chairman of the NCC, Prof. Umaru Dambatta according to the operator.

According to the letter “MTN will, however, be required to pay the sum of $94,225,152.75 as

spectrum fee for the five year extension period.” The amount is payable as a spectrum fee for the five-year extension period by no later than 31 December 2015 and conditional upon MTN fulfilling all its regulatory obligations.

It will be recalled that in February 2001, pursuant to one of the most transparent mobile licence auctions in the world, the NCC issued Digital Mobile Licenses (DML) to three pioneer mobile operators. The licences were bundled with spectrum in the 900MHz and 1800MHz frequency bands. MTN Nigeria paid $285 million for 15 year licence renewable afterwards. .

Amongst other authorisations, MTN also holds a Unified Access License (UASL) and a third generation (3G) spectrum license through which it provides a full bouquet of digital services to its esteemed customers throughout Nigeria.

According to Akinwale Goodluck, corporate services executive of MTN, “We view this extension as a demonstration of confidence in MTN’s capacity to continue to provide ground-breaking and innovative services to its customers, and another milestone in the evolution of the Nigerian communications industry.”

FamilyRe: Effects Of Divorce On A Woman..Men Take Note by donogaga(m): 5:22pm On Nov 03, 2015
I’ve heard many people consider the possibility of ending their marriage. They look at divorce as a solution to their marital woes, a viable answer to their pain and frustration.

Ultimately, however, it creates only different problems.

Divorce shouldn't be encouraged!!!

Some women have pretty much priced themselves out of the marriage market.

The cost, benefit, and risk analysis rules out marriage.

Ever increasing investment in a depreciating asset isn’t viable.

Nice one.

In the end marriage isn’t about happily ever after. It’s about work. And a commitment to grow together and a willingness to continually invest in creating something that can endure eternity. Through that work, the happiness will come. Marriage is life, and it will bring ups and downs. Embracing all of the cycles and learning to learn from and love each experience will bring the strength and perspective to keep building, one brick at a time.

Commit to being an EPIC LOVER. There is no greater challenge, and no greater prize.

Valid point.

However, I don't envy most Nigerian marriages. I've never seen such a large group of lonely and unhappy individuals connected by children, finances and social pressure in my life.

The truth is that most people don't know WHY they are getting married. Most people get married because "My friends are getting married, it's time, I am getting old, Pressure from parents/friends, I want to settle down, I want children, my own place, money, etc". All idiotic reasons. You can do most of that while single.
HealthLose Belly Fat Everyday By Doing One Of These Little Things by donogaga(op): 11:46pm On Oct 29, 2015
Belly fat is the most dangerous kind of fat – it increases quickly and melts away very slowly. That is precisely why people who are conscious about their waistline keep pestering their trainers with questions about easy exercises to lose belly fat fast. In their desperation, people often start exercising too enthusiastically, without maintaining a healthy balance. There are many smart ways to lose belly fat fast including manicuring your lifestyle and changing your eating habits combined with a healthy exercising routine. Here’s a list of best ways to lose belly fat fast.

Everyone is welcome to benefit from these tips:

CHANGE YOUR SLEEPING PATTERNS – LATER-NIGHTERS, TAKE NOTICE!
Burning midnight oil is not always the best thing for your waistline. Those who go to bed late are more prone to accumulate belly fat quickly. Changing your sleeping patterns is crucial if you want to add an extra notch in your belt.

CHANGE YOUR EATING PATTERNS
When you start overeating, it alters the way your stomach’s network of receptors responds. These receptors tell your brain when your stomach is full. Slowing down their response time will make your overeating look like a normal activity. So, eat in small chunks and eat food which takes longer to get digested.

ADD MORE CITRUS FRUITS TO YOUR DIET
The acidity in citrus fruits slows down the digestion process and enables to take longer breaks between your meals.

TAKE YOUR FRIENDS TO THE PARK
Instead of spending a lazy evening at a bar over drinks and snacks, take your friends to a walk. It will provide everyone an excuse to get moving!

SOME APPETIZERS DO MORE THAN ENTICING YOUR APPETITE
Research shows that taking soup before your main meal can help reduce the calories intake by more than 20%. Soups should be essential part of your ‘flat belly diet’ list.

CARDIO SHOULD BE YOUR PREFERENCE
A study shows that aerobic trainings like cardio reduce 67% more fat than other trainings. So, make time for the cardio!

CHOCOLATE IS GOOD FOR YOUR WAISTLINE, ONLY IF IT’S DARK!
Dark chocolate is full of monounsaturated fatty acids which is essential to make your body to lose belly fat fast. Also, dark chocolate is full of antioxidants as well.

EAT MORE FIBER LOSE BELLY FAT FAST
10 grams of fiber daily can help you cut down the belly fat by 4%. Two apples or two cups of broccoli will provide you approximately 10 grams of fat-fighting fiber.

MAKE GARDENING A REGULAR THING
The tilling, bending and squatting will help you work on the remotest ab muscles. And needless to say, such activities are an effective replacement to the boring workout routines your trainer keep pushing you to do everyday non-stop.

CUT BACK ON PRETZELS
Losing weight shouldn’t be all about cutting down on food. In fact, one can have a colorful list of food items in his flat belly diet. But keep pretzels and other salty foods away from that list.

GET A HOOLA-HOOP TODAY!
Go out and whirl your way to a flat tummy by using a hoola-loop. Whirling with a hoola-loop is a better exercise for your belly than crunches.

ADD AVOCADO TO YOUR FLAT BELLY DIET
Like dark chocolate, avocado is also full of healthy fatty acids which controls blood sugar spikes and eventually stops fat from accumulating on your waistline.

DRINK MILK REGULARLY
According to a study issued by McMaster University in Canada, regular intake of milk along with exercises will make you lose belly fat more quickly.

ADD THIS FOOD TO YOUR FLAT BELLY DIET
Sunflower seeds are an important source of healthy fatty acids. These fatty acids help your body to keep a check on blood sugar spikes and essentially stopping your body to accumulate fat in your tummy.

INVEST IN EXERCISE BALLS
A study shows that exercises involving balls are more effective to melt difficult fat than crunches or pilates exercises. If you are thinking of making an investment in workout equipment, big exercise balls should be on top of your shopping list.

STAND UP DURING YOUR PUMPING EXERCISES
Another workout tip to lose belly fat fast is to do pumping in a standing position. It adds more pressure to your abdomen and hence gives better results than traditional style pumping.

GET MORE SLEEP
Your body burns much more fat during your sleep. It is scientifically proven too. So, be generous and add more hours in your sleeping schedule. It will help you lose belly fat fast as well as making your body feel relaxed.

EAT WALNUTS
Having hunger pangs during the later afternoon work hours. Why not chew up a handful of walnuts? Walnuts should also be a part of your flat belly diet as it contains a healthy mix of antioxidants, protein, essential vitamins and healthy fatty acids – a perfect combination of nutrients to keep you healthy and slim.

QUIT SMOKING
Smoking does more damage to your waistline than carbs. Dump those cancer sticks if you really want to lose belly fat. Or keep daydreaming about having a slim thighs and a flat belly.

DE-STRESS YOURSELF BY WALKING IN OPEN-AIR AREAS
Stress increases cortisol – a hormone which signals your body to put fat around your tummy. Stress is also makes you prone to overeating. So, keep this negative feeling as far as possible. Walking in an open-air area like parks, etc is a good way to de-stress yourself. If you really want to Lose Belly Fat Fast than these are the best 20 tips for you.

PoliticsYesterday's (pdp) Nass Power Party Is Today's Wailer/wailing Party!!! by donogaga(op): 8:41pm On Oct 29, 2015
Today's screening by the Senate was a political power play between the majority APC senate members and the minority PDP senate members.

At the centre of it all was the determination of Hon. Rotimi Amaechi's suitability for the position of minister of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
While the PDP lawmakers shouted to high heavens that Amaechi must not be confirmed, the APC lawmakers insisted that he must be confirmed.

Power intrigue was at play. As much as the PDP lawmakers had their say, they were frustrated by the antics of the APC lawmakers. In the end they staged a walk out, and the APC lawmakers had their way - Rotimi Amaechi was confirmed. What a life! What a life of a failed Party (PDP)!

Just yesterday, the PDP were the power party. With their majority strength, they decided the outcomes of all decisions and always had their way. But today, it is the APC.

The PDP that was morally backward yesterday is now the same party that is today talking about morality in the Senate because they are no longer in power.
The same APC lawmakers that usually stage a walk out on the PDP lawmakers when they don't have their way, is the same APC that is today been walked out on by the PDP lawmakers when they don't have their ways.
That's life of a failed party. The PDP which was yesterday's power party but is today's wailing party.
It is the reward for the party's (PDP) 16 years of misrule and mismanagement of the economy. It is their reward for taking Nigerians for granted.

Romance7 Things Love Is Not!!! by donogaga(op): 7:58pm On Oct 28, 2015
7. BEING OVER PASSIONATE - Most of us mistake passion for love. When you are strongly attracted towards someone, you might easily fall into this trap.

6. SULKING - If your partner sulks once in a while, it is reasonable but if he or she uses it as a manipulative technique then it isn’t love. Sulking in relationships must be handled well.

5. EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL - This is the worst form of manipulation in relationships. It is better to deal with emotional blackmail in relationships before it turns into an abusive game.

4. BEING POSSESSIVE - You might feel great when your partner behaves possessive but soon, you will realise that it isn’t true love. Being possessive in a relationship is a sign of insecurity than love.

3. DOMINATING IN TRUE LOVE - there isn’t an urge to dominate the other person. If you or your partner is into domination, then sort it out soon.

2. SEEKING REVENGE - True love forgives and forgets. If you have the urge to seek revenge in your relationship, you are not in love at all.

1. BITTERNESS - Difference of opinion can be handled with utmost grace if you are in love. If bitterness torments your soul then you are not in love.

BusinessAdenuga: Future Of Nigerian Economy Is Very Bright by donogaga(op): 7:20am On Oct 28, 2015
Chairman of Conoil Plc, Dr. Mike Adenuga has stated that despite challenges facing Nigeria at the moment, the future of the nation’s economy remains very bright.

Also, in the face of the myriad of problems confronting the downstream sector of the petroleum industry, he assured shareholders of Conoil Plc of a rosy future for their investments.

Reliving the challenges bedevilling the industry at Conoil’s 45th annual general meeting held at the weekend in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Adenuga also assured shareholders that the future of the company was bright and secure, while also predicting a brighter future for the nation’s economy.

He declared: “Our company’s long term future is assured beyond any doubt,” adding that, “conscious efforts will be directed at achieving better execution, especially in the areas of marketing and customer management. Greater attention would be devoted to cutting costs of operations in the different segments of the company’s business, while maintaining and improving on the quality of its products and services.”

According to Adenuga, the operating environment in 2014 was a very difficult one for operators in the downstream sector as they relied mostly on importation of petroleum products to meet domestic demands due to lower output from the local refineries. This, he stated, came at a high cost due to depreciation value of the Naira and high bank charges.

Reiterating the challenges all major oil marketers are battling with, Adenuga highlighted N264 billion, as at the end of 2014, outstanding subsidy claims, also comprising of foreign exchange differentials and bank interests.

As part of the strategy to shore up its bottom-line, the Chairman revealed that the company would consolidate its leadership position in the lubricant market by offering bouquet of quality lubricants to consumers as well as building new production lines to increase capacity.

Continuing, he stated that: "As the leader in the aviation jet fuel market, we are boosting our fuel dispensing capacity by acquiring additional state-of-the-art bowsers to meet the growing list of our local and international clientele of airlines.”

The Chairman also assured shareholders that the company would remain committed to its goal to be in the forefront of refined petroleum products marketing with double-digit growth. He promised that the company will leverage on its well-established distribution strength, bringing delightful innovations into marketing and distribution of its products by giving greater value to its teeming customers and shareholders.

Adenuga also paid glowing tribute to its workforce noting that a performance driven culture, engendered by improved and structured management system has been established by the company in all areas of its business.

“As we look forward to our employees’ unrelenting dedication to our corporate goals, we will continue to give priority to their professional fulfilment, their work-life balance and their ability to contribute equally as part of a diverse workforce,” he promised.

TravelMinistry Explains Delay On Lagos-ibadan Expressway by donogaga(op): 6:18am On Oct 28, 2015
A representative of the Federal Ministry of Works, Mr Nelson Olubakinde, has revealed that the delay on the reconstruction and expansion of Section II of the Lagos- Ibadan expressway was due to paucity of funds, adverse weather and impatience by motorists.

The project which is handled by Reynolds Construction Company (RCC) at the cost of N96.3 billion commenced on June 4 and had a completion date of July 3, 2017.

Providing further details in Ibadan, he noted that the construction work was initiated under Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement with Motorway Assets as lease, while the ministry was the guarantor.

According to him, “Apart from the fact that new methods in road construction has been brought to bear on the project, the thickness of the road have been enhanced and it has also been expanded to ensure free traffic flow.”

Olubakinde said the project had reached 25.98 per cent completion in spite of the challenges stressing that a section of the road had been opened for use in the last one year to pave way for correction of any defect.

RomanceThe Challenge Of Long Spinsterhood!!! by donogaga(op): 7:25am On Oct 25, 2015
Late marriage is a situation where a person who has attained maturity in age remains unmarried by choice. This development is becoming the order of the day, and it is worrisome.

Marriage is a mutually agreed union between two people. Married couples are not just united in body and soul, they share bonds in so many ways or in every way; and owe each other marital obligations, including right to have sex and produce children.

As more young women struggle with the reality of late marriage, some are willing to do anything to secure a husband. In the African society, where single women are regarded with disdain, some matured girls in their desperation to bear the title “Mrs;” resort to employing transdental powers to get a husband or entrapping men with pregnancy.

Anna John (not real names) 41, an accountant in a local government said “I have come to accept that some of us will never marry. I can’t count the number of relationships I have been into and all ended up in disaster. I have spent money, visited native doctors to ensure that I get a man that will marry me, I have done all manners of fasting and sown seeds yet to no avail. My mother stopped disturbing me when I got to the age of 40. It is not easy when I meet my classmates and they asked me how many kids I have. Sometimes I lie to some that I am married because of shame. I don’t go out again, two of my younger sisters are married with kids. So I have decided to adopt a baby and train her as my own and stop wasting my time looking for a man that will come and eat my money and run away.”

Another spinster who shared her plight with LEADERSHIP Sundayis Leah Danyil, 47, a banker. She said “I don’t know why some girls believe without marriage, they cannot survive. I used to think so until I came to accept my fate. I used to dream of getting married and living happily ever after with my husband, but when I got to the age of 36 with chains of heartbreaks, I realized that no man is what dying for. I once took poison to kill myself when my ex-fiancé dumped me three weeks to our wedding for a younger girl whose father was a senator. The Bible has told me that, there is no marriage in heaven, so when I am ready, I will adopt or get a baby for somebody I like and live my life to the fullest.”

Mrs.   Margret Dauda, a marriage counsellor with the COCIN Christian denomination has been married for 22years and she said “marriage is a good thing and it was created by God, so it is normal for girls to want to settle down. But it shouldn’t be at the detriment of their dignity and faith. Most of the couples I have counselled, had their marriage on the wrong foundation. It is either the girl tricked the man into marrying or he did it thinking she will hand over her wealth to him. Some girls out of desperation go to native doctors to get love charms. It has worked for some, but I know that has a devastating consequences because the day the charm wears off, the man regains his sense and crises starts in such marriages. Other girls pretend to be what they are not. Some trap the men with pregnancy. One did that and didn’t tell the man she was pregnant until it was four months and then she informed her parents who called the man and today after three kids, they are in crises because the man was not ready for marriage.

“Some will take the man sperm, hair or personal effects to evil alters for incantations, they only work for some times. As much as I am in support of marriage, I don’t think women must do some of the things they do in the name of securing a husband. These things don’t last, the pain is worse than the momentary joy you get of being married. I know a marriage that did not last up to three months here in Abuja, the woman deceived the man that she was pregnant and after the marriage, she lied that she had a miscarriage, they rushed her to the hospital and it was there that they confirmed that, her tubes were blocked and so she could not conceive without them opening the tubes.”

Pastor Ayuba Rindams of Glory Christ Church, Idu, a suburb of Abuja states that “A strong foundation is imperative for a successful marriage and should be settled before one even begins to date or court a potential life mate. The right time for marriage is different for each person and unique to each situation. Maturity levels and life experiences are varying factors; some people are ready for marriage at 18, and some are never prepared for it. Even though marriage is an institution ordained by God himself when he created Adam and Eve, I have discovered in my over 17 years of pastoring that some of the problems of late marriage can be traced, unpreparedness for marriage, ancestral curse, unfaithfulness, asking amiss, demonic oppression, unconfessed sins, materialism, lack of respect for God and man and other things. Marriage is not only a commitment, but a covenant with God. It is the promise to remain with that other person for the remainder of your life, no matter whether your spouse is rich, poor, healthy. A prospective married couple also needs to make sure that they know each other well. They should know each other’s views on marriage, finances, in-laws, child-rearing, discipline, duties of a husband and wife, whether only one of them or both will be working outside the home, and the level of the other person’s spiritual maturity. Every couple considering marriage should go through counseling with a Christian marriage counselor pastor”.

Mallam Abdulaziz Yahaya is also of the opinion that “Everything that happens in the universe happens only by the decree of Allah, so the one who believes must believe that Allah knew all things before they happened, Allah Tells us in Quran, that He made one male and from him the first female and made all people from them. So, be kind to each other and use your attraction to bring your hearts together. If a Muslim cannot marry soon after puberty, then he or she just has two options: temporary abstinence or temporary marriage. The Qur’an says, ‘And those who cannot marry should practice restrain (or abstinence) till Allah enriches them out of His bounty. (24:33).’ However, abstinence from all the forbidden ways of fulfilling the sexual urge is not easy”.

According to a psychologist, Mathew Ubong, some of the reasons why some girls don’t marry early is that, they are focused on your career, they set high standards, they are waiting until all their younger ones get married, some feel one man cannot satisfy them, and some just don’t want to get married. Many others want to be well educated first. There is self-dependency, economic independence, bad past relationships and fear of commitment. A good marriage complements each other, and makes both parties better.

What most young people don’t understand is that, marriage is a journey through life which enhances and enriches the entire community. Married couples tend to have good physical, psychological well-being, and a lower mortality risk. Married women are less likely to fall into poverty. Because marriage brings wealth. Psychologically, married couples have greater sexual satisfaction than singles. Married women also have higher levels of physical and psychological health because they tend to have less job stress, and being married gives them importance. Married women are more likely to live longer, healthier, happier and can recover from illness quicker.

…AND THIS HOW SHE DID IT…

A bride sparked outrage after presenting her father with a gynaecologist signed ‘certificate of purity’ on her wedding day to prove she was a virgin. Brelyn Freeman gave the framed document to her proud dad, who is a pastor, after walking down the aisle to marry gospel singer Tim Bowman, Jr. The certificate, given out at the wedding reception in front of guests, stated her ‘hymen is intact’ as well as citing a passage from the Bible.

Detailing her decision the new Mrs Bowman wrote on Instagram: “If one person has made a decision to wait until marriage or decide to stop & wait we have done our job.
“I was able to present a certificate of purity to [my father] signed by my doctor that my hymen was still intact. “Also the covenant he gave me when I was 13. “When you honour God, your life will automatically honour others. See Also: I’m still a virgin at 54 and I think I’ll die that way “I love you daddy.” She signed off: “Let’s make Jesus famous!”.

Mrs Bowman gave to her father pastor Michael Freeman of the Faith Christian Church in Maryland the document, signed by her gynaecologist and herself, on October 10. It read: “On the 10th of May 2006, I, Brelyn Freeman, made a vow to glorify God in my body and spirit which are God’s because I have been bought with a price (Jesus).

“I have kept this commitment and present this certificate to my father Dr Michael A. Freeman to show how I have honoured God and my earthly father in my body by maintaining my purity and that my hymen is intact on this 10th day of October 2015.”
The passage on the certificate was from Corinthians 6:20. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” it asks. “You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies. Afterwards Pastor Freeman said: “I was totally unaware of what was about to take place. During the remarks, she shared that she wanted to honour me by not allowing any man to touch her before her husband.”
He added all of his children had vowed they would save themselves for marriage, with his eldest daughter Brittany presenting him with a similar document at her wedding six years ago. His son however was unable to abstain from sex before marriage. He added: “It’s not about what they did for me, rather what they did for themselves.”
The move led to criticism online with many finding it odd the bride shared intimate details of her sex life with her father and guests at the wedding. Facebook user Dorian Biddle said : “Does she really need to show her father she is a virgin over the wedding dinner? “Makes me wonder if the gynaecologist was sat at the top table.” She added: “Is there no ends to what people do these days? Some things are best kept to yourself.”

Lou Ellen Partridge Doty wrote on Facebook: “I find it rather disturbing.
“I was a virgin on my wedding night, but that was between my husband and I. “My father had nothing to do with it.”

PoliticsWike’s Aide, Inko-Tariah, Escapes Assassination In Rivers State!!! by donogaga(op): 2:07am On Oct 24, 2015
The Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah, on Thursday, escaped death after he was attacked by gunmen suspected to be hired assassins.

The unidentified gunmen shot several times at his vehicle, a Ford Escape.

It was gathered that the incident happened on the Israel Ama Bridge in Buguma, Asari-Toru Local Government Area, at about 8pm as the gunmen were said to have shot at the back seat ostensibly with the belief that Inko-Tariah was sitting in the ‘owner’s’ position.

Fortunately, Inko-Tariah who was on the driver’s seat when the incident happened, was not seen by his assailants as a result of the vehicle’s tinted glasses.

The bullets, according to an eyewitness, had pierced through the tinted glass from the back to the other side of the vehicle, smashing one of the windows in the process.

Narrating his ordeal, Inko-Tariah said he was urged not to stop by his police escort, even as the assailants continued to rain bullets on the back of the vehicle.

Inko-Tariah disclosed that his police escort, who was by his side at the front of the vehicle, immediately opened the front door and shot sporadically to scare the bandits away.

It was learnt that an ex-aide to former governor Peter Odili, Chief Diamond Tobi-West, was also attacked at the same spot penultimate week.

“I am still shocked over what happened. I was completely confused. The police escort told me not to stop the car and that I should continue to move on. It was God that saved my life.

“They (gunmen) thought I was at the back of the car and that was why they targeted that point. With the tinted glasses, they had concluded that I was probably in the owner’s seat and they riddled the back seat with bullets.

“It was a close shave with death and I thank God for His divine intervention. I am a simple man; I don’t owe anybody and I am not covetous. So, why would somebody want to take my life?” a visibly shaken Inko-Tariah said.

He stated that he was on his way back to Port Harcourt after travelling to Boguma to resolve a land dispute.

On whether the attack was politically motivated, the governor’s aide said, “I am not ruling out anything and I am suspecting everything.”

Inko-Tariah, however, disclosed that he had since reported the matter to the state police command with hope that investigation would unmask those behind the attempt on his life.

Contacted, the State Assistant Police Public Relations Office, Grace Iringe-Koko, said she had not been briefed on the matter and promised to speak immediately she got the details.

PoliticsSenate House Of Comedy!!! by donogaga(op): 5:06pm On Oct 21, 2015
Comedy 1:
When ministerial nominee, Khadija Abba Ibrahim appeared at the isle for screening, the chanting of "Our Wife" dominated the floor.
.
Comedy 2:
When she was to be introduced, the Senate President referred her as "an affiliate member of the Senate." Not because she was a senator but because her husband, Bukar Abba Ibrahim, is a senator!
.
Comedy 3:
When question time came, it was only her husband that Senate President, Bukola Saraki, gave the opportunity to ask Khadija question.
.
Comedy 4:
In his question, Bukar Abba Ibrahim asked his wife, "My ever loving wife, what will be your reaction if I ask you take a bow and go?"
(Everyone including the interviewee bursted into laughter)
.
Comedy 5:
Senator Saraki then asked the senators whether she should be allowed to take a bow and go. All the senator bursted into laughter yet again and answered in the affirmative.
.
This is intense screening that the Senators promised us. But I never knew they could also be jesters and comedians. Even the like of Ali baba, Basket mouth, I Go Die, etc can do no better job than the therapeutic laughter the senators gave us yesterday.
If no other reason, at least, Nigerians were thoroughly entertained yesterday. At least, we can now relax knowing that the senators are really justifying their huge salaries and allowance they collect - they are comedians who make Nigerians laugh.
PoliticsSalary: Anglican Church Seeks Tinubu’s Intervention. by donogaga(op): 10:57am On Oct 20, 2015
The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has been urged to intervene in resolving the salary crisis in the nation’s South-western states .

The Bishop of the Anglican Church in Omu-Aran, Kwara, Rt. Rev. Philip Adeyemo, made the call in his charge to the third session of the second synod of the church which held over the weekend.

He also advised Tinubu to handle issues of attack against him with tact, particularly as it relates to his succession.

“We appreciate the doggedness of Tinubu in the evolution into the governing party and his support for the emergence of General Muhammad Buhari towards winning the March 28, 2015 presidential election.

“We want the Asiwaju not to rest on his oars; to do something to stop unnecessary attacks on his succession; a situation which we feel many are taking advantage of to get your sympathy for political reasons. As an elder statesmen and Asiwaju, please, take not for sure the attacks are on your personality.

“We want the leader of the APC to do something about the many salary arrears owed civil servants in some APC states in the South-west.”

The cleric explained that members of the diocese were against recent calls for another national conference just as they called on the Kwara State government to do something about the poor remuneration of local government workers and teachers in the state.

PoliticsCan Anything Good Come Out Of This Senate? by donogaga(op): 7:36pm On Oct 19, 2015
Currently, there are 16 ex-governors in the Senate from the current 109 senators.
Out of the number, 4 are still incumbent senators while 12 are new senators. Out of all these, 8 senators are facing corruption charges: Bukola Saraki, Theodore Orji, Adamu Aliero, Sam Egwu, Joshua Dariye, Danjuma Goje, Abdullahi Adamu and Godswill Akpabio.
Add to these is Stella Oduah, the "Bullet-Proofgate" madam, your guess is as good as mine.

Therefore, can any good thing come out of a Senate House harbouring 17 corrupt persons? I really doubt it. Because their presence in the senate is self-serving: to protect their loots and sustain their power and influence. With stolen money, power and influence, and bandwagon of willing senators, I fear that these corrupt senators may soon infest the rest with the corruption virus.

It's just a matter of time.
PoliticsSokoto APC Rejects Ministerial Nominee!!! by donogaga(op): 7:40pm On Oct 16, 2015
The All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Sokoto State on Friday rejected the nomination of Miss A’isha Abubakar as the Ministerial nominee from the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that the decision was taken during a stakeholders meeting of the party presided by Gov Aminu Tambuwal.

The state chairman of the party, Alhaji Usman Danmadamin-Isa, who briefed newsmen on the outcome of the meeting said the decision to reject the nominee was unanimous.

” The meeting had discussed the nomination of one lady called A’isha as the nominee from Sokoto state and we have rejected her nomination.

” We have out rightly rejected her nomination because she is not a card-carrying member of the party in the state and nobody knows her, while she knows nobody in the state.

” We have also resolved to, respectfully, write to President Muhammadu Buhari to replace her with another more competent person,” he said

Danmadamin-Isa further explained that the party rejected the nominee because she hailed from the same local government with the state governor.

NAN reports that the meeting was also attended by members of the national and state assemblies from the state and other key stakeholders of the party, including Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir, Zonal Vice Chairman, North West. ( NAN)

Romance10 Shameful Things Guys Do When They Mistakenly Impregnate Their Girlfriends!!! by donogaga(op): 7:44am On Oct 08, 2015
1. They Deny It Vehemently:
This should top the list. They will deny it vehemently when they know they can’t take responsibility or when the lady in question was just on a “chop and clean mouth” parol and she’s not worth taking home. *You know that awkward moment when you carelessly impregnate the lady you put on chop and clean mouth parol. Hahaha

2. They Persuade Her To Go For An Abortion:
I think this should come second. Those who don’t have good financial standing or capability will force her into committing an abortion. They are unnecessary being nice and caring during those times. They will talk calmly about their unemployment, the weight of their bank account, and the marriage plans they have for her in the future. * if I hear*.. They are only trying to save themselves from shiiiit

3. They Blame Her For Being Careless:
Many will blame their girlfriends for being careless by not using pregnancy preventive drugs prior to/aftermath of sex.. Oga abeg park well jhoooor. Why you sef no protect yourself?

4. They Act Like Pregnancy Is New To Them:
Even though they know they are responsible for the pregnancy, you will see them opening their mouths in amazement just as GEJ did the moment Buhari was announced the winner.

5. They Broadcast It To Their Friends:
They will table the matter to their friends calling her names, spreading rumors and some more craziness. You go hear things like “this babe just wan push dis belle for me sha, me wey I never ready to be person papa” I don’t know why ladies like putting problems in one”s neck sef.. *Oooga abeg swerve enter BRT
lane jhoooor, like say you no do am*

6 He Calls For Paternity Test:
In today’s world, many dudes are not faithful to their so called girls cos promiscuity is the talk of the day. They know they are responsible for it but will keep demanding a paternity test and will never drop a kobo for it, which is smart on their part & not unreasonable.

7. They Try To Avoid Her At All Cost:
Some will go as far as changing their phone numbers or restrict their movement in order to avoid her. This is to signal her that she should carry her cross.. OYO

8. They Tell Their Mom Not To Believe Her Claim:
I have seen the case of a guy who impregnated his girlfriend and went ahead to tell her mom never to believe her claim because she wants to force the pregnancy on him. The mother even resorted to harassing and calling her slut and that she stay out of his son’s life in order not to push another person’s pregnancy on her son.

9. They Drive Her Out Of Their House:
Some become so aggressive that they order her out of their room threatening to never to beat her if she dare mention that statement.

10. Feel free to add the last one.

PoliticsThe Greed Of A Female Minister Reloaded!!! by donogaga(op): 7:39am On Oct 06, 2015
She is a female. She is a mother. Her name is Diezani-Alison Madueke, the Ex-Minister of Petroleum Resources and a mother of three children.

Checking her profile reveals that God has been kind to her all her life. Diezani never lacked any good thing: born into a royal family, went to one of the best schools in the world, Howard and Cambridge; worked in one of the best companies in Nigeria, Shell Petroleum; married to one of the top personalities in Nigeria; and blessed with three children

And the country, Nigeria, too gave Diezani the best she could ever give her citizens. Diezani Alison-Madueke has held three significant positions in the Nigerian federal government. She was appointed Transport Minister in 2007. In 2008, she was named as Minister of Mines and Steel Development. And after Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan became acting President in February 2010, with Diezani was named as Minister for Petroleum Resources. This is the post she has held till this moment.

And the World was not left out in being kind to Diezani: in 2014, she was elected the first female President to OPEC; In December 2014, she was elected President, Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF); she was elected Chairman Committee of Ministers of the West African Gas Pipeline Authority (WAGPA).

But with all these benevolence from God, country and world, Diezani has been in the news for corruption/corrupt practices of the highest order since 2008. Check the following:

1. In 2008, Diezani was a subject to a Senate probe after it emerged that as Transport Minister, she had paid N30.9b ($263m) to contractors between 26 and 31 December 2007.

2. In April 2014, Diezani was alleged to have spent over N10b inappropriately on private jets maintenance whilst many Nigerians suffer.

3. In 2009, the Senate of Nigeria indicted Diezani Alison-Madueke and recommended prosecution for the alleged transfer of N1.2b into the private account of a toll company without due process and in breach of concession agreement.

4. In April 2015, Diezani was alleged to have stole N1.329tr as subsidy payments over three years (2009 to 2011)

5. 2010-2015, Under Diezani's supervision, the NNPC spent N700m daily to subsidize kerosene without the product reaching consumers who pay as much as N150 per litre, instead of the NNPC’s approved sum of N55 per litre.

6. In January 2015, $700m (raw cash) was allegedly found in her house, out of which $10m was stolen by her house aide.

7. In April 2015, Diezani was reported to have been responsible for the missing $20b dollars out of which $16b was returned.

8. In August 2015, Diezani together with Godluck Jonathan and his ex-CSO were alleged to have illegally withdrew $6.9m (N1.460b) diversion from the secret account of the NNPC to buy three 12meter mobile stages for use at public events.

So what could have made this woman, Diezani, who has had it all to still steal and engage in corruption practices at the expense of Nigeria?

GREED!

Yes greed, the intense and selfish desire for wealth and power.

It could be forgiven when a Man is associated with corruption. It could be forgiven when a Man steal. But when a woman is at the centre of it all then, all is not well. And if the person is a mother? God have mercy! What will she tell her children? What will she tell her grandchildren? A woman is supposed to be a mother of hope and a beacon of integrity.

Everything seems to be going wrong for Diezani. She failed in her lobby to get a soft landing in the event she is probed by the administration of General Buhari; she failed in her request to get asylum in 6 countries; she is currently battling with cancer in a UK hospital. And just recently, news filtered in that she was arrested in London on Friday along with four other persons in relation to corruption allegations being investigated by the UK National Crime Agency. The EFCC has also moved to seal up her houses in Abuja.

If Diezani falls, nobody should blame it on God. If Diezani fizzles out, nobody should be blame it on the country. If Diezani is arranged for trial nobody should carry placard and say it is because she is from a particular tribe. If Diezani goes to prison nobody should say it is witch-hunting.

Rather, it should be blamed on Diezani herself. Her selfish desire to want to steal, and steal, and steal. Yes it will be blamed on Diezani herself, the greedy woman minister! Nobody else.

Lastly blame it on the Man who created the platform for Diezani to steal and steal and steal. Yes, blame it on ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for being a bad leader and a bad role model to Diezani.
