Champay:
Good afternoon everyone. Please I need sound advise. I have a bachelor degree dated 2012. A masters dated 2014. Same course. Currently undergoing my PHD which I started since 2019. Same course. But for ASUU strike, I would have my PHD certificate at hand now. Now, I want to apply for a masters degree (very close course to the one I did for my Nigerian masters) in the UK. Hope that won't affect?

And again, is my PHD admission letter enough to serve as proof of PHD? I could add my first year and second year PHD results too. Will that suffice? Even though I intend to write a cover letter stating why I strongly believe going to the UK to obtain a masters degree in the same course would be so beneficial and prospects filled.

Why not apply for a PHD instead?

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Should I Leave My Job And Japa To The UK by donogaga(m): 5:52pm On May 24, 2022
MrBrownJay1:
whatever you do, if you go, dont put your family through unnecessary stress... so make sure you have a valid plan in place. it would be unwise for most to leave a ₦600K paying job to go hustle abroad, but then again, we aint in your shoes.

600k Monthly Take home in naija is actually nothing. I have been there, done that. That's not much.

I relocated to the UK February this year, I make over 700k weekly here. In some cases, over 800k. I can send you my payslips if you doubt me.

Truth is, If you are very hardworking and you know how to think outside the box, you will definitely make it in UK. Money dey this Country sha as far as you are ready to put in the work and cover as much shifts as possible.

I came in with a dependent visa cos my wife is a Student. Hence, I don't have restrictions when it comes to work hours I wish to work/cover.

This Country na for hustlers. As in, na for people wen get strength and energy to hustle. One good thing is that, we are being paid weekly.

But the truth is, abroad isn't for everyone. If you no fit hustle for naija, e go hard for you to fit hustle here. In other words, if you lazy for naija, you go lazy here too.

Be that as it may, moving to UK is not a decision every hardworking Nigerian would regret.

NB: If you come in with student visa, your work hours tends to be restricted though. Hence, I will advise your spouse should apply via student visa route, and you guys should come together so that you will have enough time to hustle since your visa wouldn't have work hours restrictions.

And again, I think the money you are able to make here is also a function of your location/city. There are places where their hourly pay rate isn't quite high but you will still have made some millions in naira at the end of the month.

Personally, relocating to the UK was one the best decisions I have made in life. No regret.

Good day everyone.
Thank you all for your contribution on this thread.

I'm new here and would need clarifications on some issues.
First my program is a 2-year diploma night course. I purposely choose the night option so as to be able to work during the day. I have a provisional offer from the institute, which I have accepted though I am yet to make the fee deposit and write IELTS. My program start date is September 2022. I'm apprehensive that I am starting the application a bit late, following information gathered here concerning wait times for TB screening and other requirements. My question now is if I start application now, will I meet up with September start date? Secondly, can I book a date for the TB without having started an application. At this point what's the first thing I should do? Write IELTS or start the application?

Night course. Wonderful.

This is strange.

Is there any teesside hopeful here , it's like I'll have to pay the deposit before even getting unconditional offer at all.
Anyone with same condition?

Be careful of that school. The issue with the school isn't about getting unconditional admission offer, but issuance of CAS. It's quite an herculean task.

They may disappoint you at the end of the day, even after paying your tuition deposit.

It can even be gotten for free here. That's not a big deal.

Happy Sunday y'all, I am currently on a student visa that will expire in January. I came in September 2021 and I am done with class work and assessments, just working on my dissertation. I got a sponsorship job and the are ready to issue me COS to switch immediately. Please will there be an implications if I switch now? And secondly the care home is asking for administrative fee of £250 to issue COS. Please kindly help me clarify on the two issues.

You are one lucky dude.

If the sponsorship job is genuine, then I will advise you quickly pay the administrative fee. A lot of people are looking for this opportunity.

Exactly.

If you need a better quality of life for you and your family, there is need for you to relocate at once. Don't think twice.

Grass ain't greener elsewhere.... Better perfect your hustle in Nigeria and earn good money using your leverage as a citizen so that you can vacation abroad than to go become 5th class citizens and a stranger where everybody hates you because you are a Nigerian.

This isn't true bro.

I am talking from experience.

By the way, what do you mean by "good money"?

As a matter of fact, Maguire isn't a Premier League material. He's not fit for purpose.

Guys, do not lose a good woman just because she unintentionally had a fling with a guy or something. Learn to forgive, forget and move on with her cool

With this kind of mentality inherent in you guys, honestly, I pity young unmarried responsible Men that are in search of a wife at this present time.

It's a herculean task getting a good woman these days. Not very easy to come by.

I have seen things and I can boldly say that that the average Nigerian girl has a weird and terrible orientation coupled with a very crazy entitled mentality.

And again, no good woman "unintentionally" have a fling with a guy. Except you don't know the actual meaning of being a good woman.

The Collection Queue/crowd at TLS Ikeja today is terrible.

The queue stretches down to the Car park beside the TLS office. It's just crazy.

This isn't a good experience. I was thinking I will just come and spend less than 1 hour here but much to my chagrin, people have been here for more than 3 hours on the queue, yet are still outside waiting. Quite amazing.

Please if you have received Collection Mail at Ikeja TLS, kindly arrive at their office as early as possible.
