oil is officially 7k in Akwa Ibom today. most mills in Uyo, Abak and IK sold at that rate while second grade is 6500. There's no going down from indications. IMO, Abia here I come |

iHart: for me, I think price will begin to go up from ending of next month.
Official price as of today is 5500. I got some at the mill today. Tomorrow is Oriendu market day, the price will still be 5500. I hope to pick just 8 gallons to complete my stock for my next production. I wouldn't mind buying at 5800 to 6000. I will go early and leave early, I don't want to waste time scouting for oil. the best period she can get something reasonable is October upwards. the rise is usually a gradual thing. |

koonbey: Thanks for all your great work too Sir.
I'll get pictures of the ones I have in stock from the person sourcing from me, but it's not hand-milled so I doubt it'll have the 'eggs'. It's really high quality though, from the little I've seen... and tasted
It seems I'll focus on Kogi for sourcing henceforth. uwc MA..... We'd be anticipating the pictures. |

koonbey: Price Update:
Kogi, Ookun area - 8500 for oil content only.
I should get the Ilorin,Kwara price later in the day and post here.
Edit
In Ilorin, 8000 for oil content only.
The thing though, is that Kogi oil is very high quality if you're getting from source. Since not much oil is produced in Ilorin, it's difficult to get from source and the oil is often low-quality or tampered with. So you have to shine your eyes. thank you for the updates. this is what I expect from others too. please update us with the price from your location. In addition: Kogi oil mostly termed IGALA oil is usually expensive around the north. it is mostly hand milled and has thick uniform composition with some kind of balls called eggs. I currently don't have any picture, please help us if you have one. thank you |

GreenArrow2: Thanks a lot for your insight on this biz donparosky. Is 350k enough capital to take into this biz or does one need more? I stay in Benue and have been thinking of buying at Benue price and selling up north where the prices are a little higher. Is the 1500 to 3000 Naira margin enough to cover transport/logistics and turn over a profit? Are there ready buyers who can buy( let's say in Sokoto) immediately the goods get there? Thanks again. yes 350k is sizeable to start. 1500 can cover cost of kegs and transportation comfortably with change self lols Best state in North : Jigawa, sokoto, Adamawa, and borno. forget Kano. it's hyped. you can only do well there if u doing biz in excess of 1000 kegs upwards and the market is saturated |

OK guys, how do you know bigger kegs. Thanks to everyone who contributed. everyone spoke well but the easiest way is counting the number of lines by the side. Now let me see who's smart here. check the lines on the kegs ihart posted and tell me the difference or bring out your empty kegs and count the number of lines by the sides. make sure you report your findings here lol..... You can also use the handle gap as ihart said but you've got to be careful too. Let's do the Lil homework guys |

ultron12345: Good morning sir. God bless you for the work you're doing here, we really appreciate.
Please, I have some questions
Like how many kegs if oil can I get from mills in a Day? can I get up to 300
If I take kegs of oil to a big market like in Lagos or Abuja, like how many kegs can I conveniently sell in a day? Can I sell up to 300
How do I sell the oil at the market? Do I just park the truck there and buyers will come? Or I have to start shouting?
What about those market unions? How do I deal with them? Do you have any idea of how much they charge as described and dues per J5 of oil at the market (you can use any market you're familiar with as case study)
When people order oil, do they pay fully before delivery, cash on delivery or part payment on delivery? If I'm to collect any money after delivery, I'm thinking of getting a pos machine so the boys will carry it along and the customer will pay with it, I think it'll be safer than for them to be handling large amounts of cash. What do you think?
If I employ boys to help me with these business and they follow a chartered vehicle to deliver oil somewhere, will they follow the vehicle back or they'll have to enter transport
How do you recommend I compensate the boys? Salary or commission? Like how much do you recommend? omo this your questions are much sha but I'd try to respond accordingly... 1. yes you can buy more than that in a day. Just ensure you visit mills/markets with large capacity. I always advise mills. 2. I assume you want to be selling per keg. it's very possible to sell more than 500kegs in a day at Abuja, Kano and Lagos but your selling price plays a big role. 3. Before moving oil to any market, ensure you probably make contacts or possibly visit to advertise your products with samples. do well to monitor the buying and selling capacity of the market. 4. You only join union when you want to have an outlet retailing in the market. it's just commission you pay maybe say 1k per J5 for just sale and leave 5. Pay on delivery gives comfort and flexibility to customers but ensure you commit them so they don't end up disappearing when you arrive. it's personal experience lols 6.No 7. It's cool you pay per trip to boost morale or give bonuses on every trip. it's a good way of keeping them faithful and committed but strictly monitor the fares. Hope I've answered all your questions. God bless your hustles |

mafyap: Good morning everyone. I want to ask. How many 25 litre kegs of oil can someone get to buy from the villagers on a single market day. Can it be as much as 100 due to the fact that other people will be buying as well. Thanks Any big market can give you that. However, don't buy oil from markets if you ain't experts. it's difficult for beginners. endeavor to buy from mills with your own kegs. train your kegs yourself and buy only from mills..... word is enough for the wise.

its not possible sir. I worked as an ad hoc staff too. once APO1 who handles the card reader transmits total number of accredited voters (passes +failures) to the server, the presiding officer cannot manipulate anything. Your submission must tally. this is a tough battle for APC because all results were officially transmitted to INEC server via e-collation using the card reader. In short you cannot submit your manual results without first communicating the official results to INEC server |
