It's either he is out of touch with the mood of Rivers People or he is plain stubborn. Amaechi, the elections 100% reflects the anger of Rivers people towards you. Make peace with your people.

As for the violence, I heard it's your handwork to convince INEC to cancel the elections.

Mr Joe, I am almost giving up on the matter. How a people can be so myopic to the extent of blackmailing their son who did nothing but protect their interest from a pretender of a brother and daughter who did nothing meaniful for them will remain a mystery to me. One of my friends says Amechi's real offence was that he was nothing sharing money but was developing the state instead. All these betrayal excuse they are using is just an official reason that sounds good to the gullible.

what we experienced last saturday in Rivers state and particularly, ward 12/13 in obio/Akpor LGA was nowhere near an election. Rather it was a daylight stealing. No election took place in ward 12 and 13 which comprises Rumuola, Rumuadalu, Rumuokwuta, Rumuigbo, Mgbuoba, Rumuomoi etc. Anybody that lives around those communities can attest to this. Nobody voted, yet result was announced.

The governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that he will never accept the electoral victory of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, stressing that the election was a daylight robbery.

He was reacting to the call by the Minister of State II for Foreign Affairs, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, that Amaechi and All Progressives Congress in Rivers state should concede defeat and congratulate the winner in the interest of the state.

Amaechi took to Twitter to reply Obanikoro.

“Because of the larger interest of Rivers state, I and most Rivers people will not accept that daylight robbery they called elections. The election was a sham, a disgrace, an affront on democracy. Please read the reports of EU and other INEC accredited election observers before you open your mouth to spew rubbish. If your values are so debased and rotten that you saw nothing wrong with the elections in Rivers State, mine is not. Never will.”

Edo PDP didn't canvass for votes like they did in the National Assembly which they swept.

I guess it wasn't important, since there are gpoing to remove whoever Oshiomole appoints as his successor with the ballot next year.

The governor shared 2 million to each ward in the state from intelligence report on my palm.

The biggest looser is Samson Osagie who was a PDP member all through his political career, only to decamp to APC, called a saint. Yet, the people answered him with their PVC's.

I particularly, like what happened to the short man, it would make people sit up, knowing people no longer judge on party lines but on personalities and leadership qualities.

Nigeria is still far from votes that appear on party lines, because the two strongest parties in Nigeria do not have a clear cut ideology yet.

By this result, PDP wins 2 out of the 3 Senatorial seats in Edo state.

Despite the heavy loss in the State Assembly results, I congratulate the PDP in Edo State for this feat. Winners should ensure that they deliver on their election promises.
