Good morning or Good day,
The long and short of the story is, I want to take the CFA professional exams and I want to know if it is still relevant in the industry, Nigeria particularly and this is me considering the exchange rate currently, how profitable it would be for me in a long run professionally and if i were to leave Nigeria, is it recognized in the USA, Canada and all.

My fears and questions are:
1) I don’t want to spend money on a certificate that would not earn me more money.
2) I also don’t want a certificate that is not transferable
3) Would it be better to do an MBA than take this CFA course?


I would really appreciate if I could get answers


And please , could I get past questions and study papers and if possible link up with someone who has done the CFA exams so I ask some more questions.

You already started on a wrong foot. If what you looking for is money, knowledge will become very expensive to you and as such you might be disappointed after your CFA if you combine the time, effort and money. You may want to cry!

If what you are looking for is Knowledge, CFA will equip you with all the necessary knowledge you needed to survive in the finance industry and stand the test of time. You efforts will definitely be rewarded in multiple folds but beyond Money, the seat is hot and very hot. The money is just small aspect of the exam, You must have the energies, emotion and the brain for the challenges.

CFA doesn't have cut off marks, The Institute determines the cut off after exam

I also aspire to write CFA and unless any other exam has global recognition as CFA, CFA is my answer.

The Knowledge is definitely worth it and you will speak Finance and Finance will speak through You !

So today in the Pharmacy, a lady came in with a written note to buy the following antibiotics.
Perfloxacin 2
"Cipro infusion" 6
"Ciproxin tablets" 2
Rocephin 6.
On seeing the note I wasn't comfortable, I asked her who the drugs were meant for, she said it's for herself, I then asked her who prescribed it and she said a nurse, I asked her to call the nurse that I want to speak with her to know why she wants to give all these antibiotics to one person, maybe all the bacteria in the world are having a conference in the lady's body.
Not that the the one she wrote "Ciproxin" is ciprofloxacin and Cipro infusion is also ciprofloxacin but meant for intravenous use (these nurses usually call it Ciproxin or Cipro), Ciprofloxacin and Perfloxacin are the same class of drugs with similar mechanism of action, (same Pharmacology) just some differences in their chemical structures, so basically this "nurse" wants to give one drug in two different forms (Ciproxin tablets and Cipro infusion) with another similar drug (Perfloxacin) to one person and don't forget Rocephin (Ceftriaxone) which is another powerful antibiotic.
So the nurse was called, I introduced myself as the pharmacist that wants to sell the drugs she wrote down for a patient and that I'm not comfortable with the patient taking all these at the same time, that it could cause more harm than good, she told me that the patient ran some infection tests and that those drugs she wrote are the ones that was recommended by the lab results.
Now let me explain what happened here, the lady ran some infection tests and the laboratory scientist also ran what is called antibiotic sensitivity tests to determine the most appropriate antibiotic to use for treatment, this helps doctors to go straight and prescribe the suitable antibiotic, just like hitting the bull's eye without beating about the bush, so this nurse told me that according to the lab results, that the lady is supposed to use all the antibiotics that showed sensitivity, at this point my jaw dropped, I tried to let her know that she's making a mistake,she now told me to give the lady only "Ciproxin" I sold only a pack of Ciprofloxacin to the lady and told her this pack will suffice for whatever treatment she wants and that has needs further evaluation, she should go to a clinic and see a proper doctor. She said she was directed to the woman because she has a good reputation of treating people of infections and they get pregnant afterwards, so it was a case of child bearing.
She left with the drugs and came back about thirty minutes later, that the "nurse" said that what I gave her was not Ciproxin, I collected my drugs back and refunded her appropriately. God knows I tried.

Her case was not the first and it definitely would not be the last, I see it everyday, nothing stops me from selling all those drugs and pocketing the money, but I have a duty which i also swore to, to protect and educate people on the dangers of drug misuse, that "Aunty Nurse" that learnt "nursing" on the roadside instead of going to school, that did freedom instead of graduation is who people prefer to patronise instead of going to hospital to get a proper care.

Even If you want to report Aunty Nurse .. you might be the one to be jailed by Nigerian Police.

Paracetamol 2 tablets 8hours maximum of 3days but when You are using antibiotics of 5days 12hours apart with Paracetamol prescription. So, if my Paracetamol finishes the third day, one should continue using the antibiotics for the next 2days with Paracetamol?

Op, that your number 4 is not a myth. It's very true The more expensive a drug is the more effective it will be.
I'm talking from personal experience. It happened to me on two occasions.

One was during the lock down. I was down with malaria and typhoid. Then a chemist recommended lonart because I told him I was on a low budget. After taking it, no single relief. Same thing with the cheap typhoid drugs I took.

I then went to a big pharmacy and the pharmacist told me to go for the expensive drugs ( co
Ciprotab and pialaxin) that I should stop *pinching" money. Lo and behold before I finished the course, I was Hale and hearty.

Recently same thing happened.
I bought 800 malaria drugs. Nothing. I now went back and bought pialaxin, immediately after the first dose, I felt instant relief. So brand matters. All these smaller brands don't really work.

You want to compare becgam Amoxil with other brands of Amoxil?
This one is a fact.

This is not true for me. I use #500 anti malaria once I see "ACT" I'm Okay. Lonart worth #2k but I will jejely ask the Pharmacy for the Brand with Lowest amount. My own jinx is that Once I use the Top amount own, my malaria Parasites go dey ask for bigger amount instead of #500 own they are used to before dem die ... It works for me.

Also, Ciprofloxacin... I go for that of #300 now #500.

For Typhoid, All I need is a brand with Ciprofloxacin. Once you enter Pharmacy, the attendant will call the Brand with Bigger amount .... I just jejely ask for the Brand of Ciprofloxacin with the smallest amount .... They will hand me that of #500# against #2k or 1+k ....

The most important is for the Drug name to be on the Carton regardless of Brand as far as It's a Reputable Pharmacy. I use to ask for the Difference between Cheaper and Expensive Brand . Pharmacy will say na "Brand" but Drug is same , So !

Most men are lazy or depressed because of football. While they are watching at a bar, they're spending the little they have on drinks and betting.

The gamblers, the lazy ones with no job, but always in front of their screens to watch all games, argue about Messi and Ronaldo until it turns to fight and someone gets killed.

Do you know how many lives Messi and Ronaldo's argument has taken? Are you happy football is the cause of these people's death?

I have a lot to say, but I won't say much.

Let's be honest. Football is a bigger demon for viewers at home than BBN because billions of people (mostly men) are addicted to it without any benefit at last.

Yes, morally, for viewers, football is better than BBN since there is no nudity, but mentally and knowledge-wise, BBN is better.

The beneficiaries of football are the players, the organizers, the TV stations, and the YouTubers/bloggers. The rest are losers.

Today, their teams will make them happy, tomorrow, they'll be sad. Their emotions are always unstable. I have read of hundred of footballers or fans who died of high blood pressure because of so much expectations.

At times, some overzealous fans destroy things because their teams lost. Happiness in football is temporary and that is bad.

It creates unity amongst nations, but it has destroyed more lives because it has more viewership.

The devil operates more in a congregation with more addicted viewership. Since football has more, more souls has been lost through it. You may not believe me, but it's true.

In this life, we only have

1. Winners
2. Losers, and
3. Uncertain people

Football cures depression when your team is winning, but triggers depression, frustration, and anger when your team is losing. After your team has lost, do you notice how terrible you feel?

So, football is a time-waster for viewers, but a money-maker for the players and organizers. While BBN is a knowledge-givers for smart viewers and a money-maker for the housemates and organizers.

The truth is: all these entertainment (football, BBN) are all introduced to capture the minds and attention of people for wealth in exchange for some dramas, smiles, or sadness.

We should all try to be inventors of something and not just viewers or complainers of something.

I'm a fan of Messi (Talent) but C. Ronaldo is an epitome of Hardworking and He dearly hype himself on the pitch.......... There are alot to learn from these boys especially our own from Nigeria... From Humble Beginning to the World because they never back down .......

Many footballers and boxers to learn from and adapt their struggles to your life and become a manifest of Success in your own endeavour ...

Football and the coaches tactical responses in matches and before matches is like Game of Chess and War Strategies ....
