his short demon is a very vindictive person. Let him know that what goes around comes around. One day and very soon he will be on the receiving end. Some Pint-size people are always like this. |
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has disowned the factional leader of the Labour party, Lamidi Apapa. In a statement released by Chris Uyoh, Secretary of NLC Political Commission, the labour union condemned the action of Lamidi at the Presidential Election Tribunal on Wednesday, May 17, describing it as shameful. The union stated that it was unfortunate that Apapa, was ascribing to himself “a vague status as the Chairman of the Labour Party.” “The conduct of Mr. Lamidi Apapa at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal today, 17th May 2023, has once again brought to the fore the desperation of certain elements in the political class to deploy all manner of subterfuge and criminality to divide and despoil the massive goodwill currently being enjoyed by the Labour Party all over Nigeria. It is very unfortunate that Mr. Lamidi Apapa who continues to act lawlessly as an impostor ascribing to himself a vague status as the Chairman of the Labour Party and on the claims of representing the Nigeria Labour Congress, is clearly receiving protection from institutions of the state whose mandate is the preservation of law and order” he said Ufot said the Labour Party which was founded by the NLC more than three decades ago, confers institutional membership on the NLC and the Trade Union Congress (TUC). “Institutional representation of organised labour in the leadership of the Labour Party is at the behest of nomination by the leadership of the national labour centers, or from the affiliate unions or state councils of the NLC and TUC. As at today, the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and the Oyo State Council of the NLC which Mr. Apapa Lamidi claims affiliation to has completely disclaimed giving Mr. Lamidi Apapa any mandate to act on their behalf in the Labour Party in any capacity whatsoever thus disowning him. The national leadership of the Congress then wonders who Mr. Lamidi Apapa is representing in the Labour Party” he said The NLC said the dubious action by Mr. Lamidi Apapa and his cohorts has been sustained by interested political actors in Nigeria whose abiding wish is the death of the Labour Party. “It is clear that Mr. Lamidi Apapa is a meddlesome interloper who is being used by reactionary forces to deny Nigerians the benefit of an alternative political thought and organisation geared towards genuine national redemption and transformation. The NLC Political Commission wishes to reiterate its earlier statement disowning the so-called factional leadership of the Labour Party led by Mr. Lamidi Apapa. Any attempt to allow Mr. Lamidi Apapa to foist the show of shame he and his minions exhibited today at the sitting of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal would be strongly resisted by organised Labour. We urge the Nigerian workers and people to retain its faith in our judiciary as the bastion of justice and the final refuge of the oppressed. We also call on all progressive Nigerians to remain vigilant as the court case by the Labour Party is considered by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. Organised Labour as the custodian of the ideology and values of the Labour Party of Nigeria will not sit back and watch conmen take advantage of our name and goodwill to sell the Labour Party to the highest bidder.”the statement in part read https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2023/05/18/lp-leadership-tussle-nlc-disowns-lamidi-apapa/

Ireportlive:Why do you guys take pleasure in swimming in lies after lies in the guise to defend Tinubu with his many shady personae? Tinudu never worked for Exxonmobil let alone being a treasurer there, Tinubu only worked for company called Mobil Oil which is a small company compared to Exxonmobil which is a multination company.

These people are doing all these because this man is Igbo. How many of the people who threatened other nationalities was called for question? How many of the people who killed and inflicted injury on innocent people was arrested? How many people who went around burning Igbo businesses was apprehended to face the law? This man made the statement he made because of the attacks his people received during and after election. We should know that there can never be sustainable peace when we take pleasure in selective judgment. |
With all this glaring and conspicuous evidence coming out and proving gross fraud and unimaginable irregularities in the presidential election, Tinubu must not be sworn in as president if Nigeria must remain a respected nation. Some few selfish individuals with their clique cannot foist an undesirable person as president to a population of over 200 million. |

franchasofficia: Watch and see, this pure TRUTH you just stated here will be attacked by some people who hate the TRUTH and are always happy to wallow in lies even when they know the TRUTH. |
Tinubuderanged:Leave them with their hypocrisy. When you support injustice because you think it does not affect you, sooner or later you will become the victim. |
Skyview01:Shut up! Tinubu did not have any victory. Obi won him hands down. Tinubu thinks he can dubiously get everything in this life, but he should know that God is bigger than him. |
Kikeslayer2:You guys are the real hypocrites and tribal bigots. When Igbos abandoned Ojukwu and voted for a South Westerner, Obasanjo in the 2003 presidential election, they were not bigots. When Igbos voted for a northerner Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, they were not bigots. When Igbos voted for a South Southerner in the person of GEJ, they were not bigots. When they voted en mass for Atiku, another northerner, they were not bigots. But, this time around somebody who happened to be the most qualified among the presidential candidates happened to be Igbo and they decided to vote for him, now they are considered bigots. It's either you guys have short memories or you are a bunch of degenerated hypocrite. |
The Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami, has been accused by the House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating the sale of 48 million barrels of crude oil, amounting to over $2.4 billion and crude oil export to China from 2014 to date, of paying $200 million as consultancy fees in whistleblower recoveries. The allegation was made by Chairman of the committee, Mark Gbillah, at the resumed public hearing on the case. Malami and the Minister of Finance, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, were accused of not cooperating with the committee, failing to answer to issues arising from the crude sales, despite letters of invitation sent to them. Gbillah who expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct of the two public officers, appealed to them to appear before the committee or risk being arrested. Gbillah said; “We have not been getting any form of cooperation from the Ministry of Finance and Attorney General’s office regarding this investigation, despite a series of correspondents sent to them on this matter we are investigating. ”We’ve seen documentation from the Accountant General’s office, where the minister of finance approved the payment of the substantial amount of money to so-called whistle-blowers where details of monies recovered were not provided. “’We’ve heard media reports by the Federal Government indicating that millions of dollars were recovered through whistle-blower revelations on behalf of the country, but we as a parliament have not seen that those monies were routed through the constitutional appropriation process before they were expended. The constitution is very clear about the receipt and expenditure of Nigeria’s money. “We’ve looked at the functions of the Attorney General’s office and we’ve not seen any statutory powers provided for the Attorney General by the constitution to determine how Nigeria’s money should be spent. “There was an incident about a whistleblower, who made a formal report to Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit, NFIU, about $200million paid into two companies accounts, Biz Plus and GSCL, allegedly for consultancy services, which allegedly were approved by the Attorney General’s office on the approval of Mr. President. “We need the Minister of Finance, and the Attorney General of the Federation to appear before this House to provide clarity on the inflows that have come in from whistle-blowers’ recoveries, and how these monies were recovered. ”The CBN is required to provide information that has been provided by these whistleblowers about substantial amounts of monies paid allegedly for consultancy services when there’s no record of any agreement entered into by those companies regarding any services. “These are very weighty allegations and as a responsible House, we owe everybody a fair hearing and benefit of the doubt, and this is what we’ve been seeking to accord those who have been mentioned in these allegations. ”But we find it unfashionable that the minister of finance and Attorney General of Federation have not bothered to respond to any of the correspondence from the committee and this in our opinion shows a lack of regard not only to the institution of House but also that of the National Assembly as a whole. “We will make this further appeal to the minister of finance and Attorney General of the Federation and all others who have not responded or who have not honoured the committee’s invitations to do so in the national interest. ”In the event that they fail to do so, we will be constrained to invoke the instrument of the summons and all other necessary powers the National Assembly can exercise in this regard. But we want to make this a formal and final notice to those concerned, the minister of finance and Attorney General of the Federation, to cause appearance before the committee to give evidence with regards to the allegations that have been laid before the committee.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/04/crude-oil-exports-malami-allegedly-paid-200m-as-whistleblower-fees-reps-2/#:~:text=The%20House%20of%20Representatives%20ad,whistleblower%20recoveries%20by%20the%20Attorney

MSGAMBLE9:If the lie you are clinging unto makes you happy even when you know the truth deep down within you, then keep trotting. |
MSGAMBLE9:Take your response from one of the Igbo haters, El-Rufai. Abuja — The Minister in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai over the weekend declared that Igbos have acquired about 73 percent of landed property in Abuja. The Minister, who was addressing a gathering of Southeast elected officials also revealed how the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmadu Ali abused him for demolishing his house in Asokoro District in Abuja. https://allafrica.com/stories/200705210669.html |
Now that he put all his tribe's men and family members in those positions as the most qualified. The results are there to justify if he made the right decision for the interest of the Nigerian masses or not. We can now see the increase in killings, insecurity and lawlessness in the land, these are all evidences of his lopsidedness in appointment. This 8 years of a truth, have been the worst in the history of this country. I know his lackeys will keep singing his praise because that is what they are hired for. |
Dsalvo:Can you actually state any cogent reason why you so much hate the Igbos if not because you have been programmed to do so. We only hear people like you repeat over and over again like a broken record, that Igbos don't respect their host, Igbos come to a place before you know it they have dominated the whole place, Igbos are very proud, Igbos are this, Igbos are that. This has been the same beer parlor gist you guys keep propagating year in year out. If you are sincere to yourself and make a soul search, you'll actually discover that what you guys are suffering from is nothing but envy. So the people that go about killing your people in your land are the real civilized ones abi? |
SmartPolician:I tell you my brother! That guy is filled with so much bile and hate that one day it can choke him. |
Dsalvo:You have so much hate in you against the Igbos and it is not good for your health. I have not seen Igbos going to your villages to kill your people as the the Fulanis are doing on daily basis, yet you hate Igbos and accuse them of trying to dominate you. Few years ago Hausas in Lagos and Yorubas fought and many lives were lost, but you don't hate them. It is the Igbos that have never fought with anyone or killed your people that you have been programmed to hate. Igbos have always had the same neighbors they have today around, but you have never heard that the Igbos fought any of them at any time and taken their land, yet you hate Igbos and accuse them of trying to take what does not belong to them. I want to advise you to keep on hating on the Igbos, and as you do, God will keep on expanding them wherever they go. You cannot stop it. |

Hell rufai's children are so so rude and lack good home training. This particular AIDS looking ugly duck doesn't even realize how bad he looks. |
This is a very brilliant response. Let the debate be between Datti and the president-SELECT. |
While my respect for Soyinka is in an all-time low, and on the brink of Total collapse, i understand his interest is on maintenance of post Electoral Peace (which Peter Obi has always maintained, if not on his return into the Country he would have met a completely fragmented Nigeria), but truth be told, Mr. Yakubu must confess to Nigerians how he rigged Tinubu into Winning the Election. He must also tell Nigerians how much he got from Tinubu to carry out the devilish operation. Haba! Yakubu, how selfish can a man be, you have the Pen to steal from the Huge Election Funds from INEC, yet you still went ahead to collect from an Election Rigger, a Lagos State common patrimony thief, a drug Trader, a Drug Baron, a Drug Trafficker and user. Indeed, it is quite a shame, that filthy, rickety, and leprous Man called Tinubu penetrated you with all your access to Funds. |
The Vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has declined the request of Prof. Wole Soyinka for a one-on-one debate on the outcome of the February 25 presidential election. Soyinka called for the debate while condemning Baba-Ahmed's recent interview on Channels TV, where he called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Chief Justice of Nigeria not to swear in Bola Tinubu, whom INEC declared as the president-elect, insisting that declaring Tinubu a winner and issuing him a certificate of return is against the constitution. According to the LP vice presidential candidate, “whoever swears in Mr Tinubu” has “ended Democracy” in Nigeria. Reacting to the interview that saw the National Broadcasting Commission NBC issuing a N5 million fine on Channels TV, the Nobel Laureate described Baba-Ahmed's remarks as a “kind of do-or-die attitude and provocation” that goes contrary to democratic disposition. “I have never heard anyone threaten the judiciary on television the way Datti did. I heard the kind of menacing, blackmailing language as that to which we were treated by Datti. That kind of do-or-die attitude and provocation is not what I think we have all been struggling for. Nearly the totality of Datti’s comment in the interview was unbecoming. It was like trying to dictate to the supreme arbiter of the nation, and whatever you think of the supreme court, it is an institution we all refer to sooner or later. But Datti kept saying, in his wisdom, that the supreme court must agree with me. That is what is known as fascistic language and it is not acceptable.”he said The revered poet’s position on Datti’s utterances, however, did not go down well with many supporters of the LP’s presidential candidate and his vice, as they dragged Soyinka on social media. Giving a reply to these criticisms and the conduct of Datti Baba-Ahmed, Soyinka in a statement titled “Fascism on Course”, noted that Nigerian Democracy 2023 has witnessed innovations largely in the retrogressive vein, as violence, ethnic profiling and intimidation continue to be easily overlooked even as they are directed against dissenting voices. He condemned the sanction against Channels TV and praised the professionalism of the anchor who he stressed made several attempts to keep Baba-Ahmed in check while on air. He went on to challenge the LP’s vice presidential candidate to a debate as regards his claims of Nigeria’s democracy ending if Tinubu is sworn in come May 29th. “May I cease this opportunity, by the way, to condemn the sanctions imposed on CHANNELS Television which anchored the performance of the LP candidate. As stated, I watched the programme keenly – saw the valiant efforts of the interviewer to ensure fair hearing. I fail to understand just where the station could be faulted, except from a disposition for injustice. To sustain that penalty is to give joy to others who turn Internet into a soakaway for their rancid emissions, yet feel that others should be silenced. If CHANNELS feels up to it, I offer myself willing to engage Mr. Datti – or any nominee of his – on its platform on this very bone of contention – one-on-one – without the malodorous intervention of media trolls, and with the same interviewer as mediator. That should be taken as a serious offer,” the Nobel Laureate said Reacting to a one-on-one debate challenge by Soyinka over his views on the constitutionality of inaugurating President-elect, Bola Tinubu, Baba-Ahmed told the Nobel laureate to instead bring his preferred candidates to debate him. In a statement by the Obi-Datti Media Office on Saturday May 8, the LP vice-presidential candidate said his decision not to take Soyinka up on his offer was not out of cowardice but for cultural and political reasons. He said one of the reasons he would not debate the celebrated writer is that he was not on any of the opposing ballots in the election. Datti, however, said that if Soyinka could use his influence to bring out his preferred candidates for the debate, he is willing to take them on. Read the statement below ‘’DATTI BABA-AHMED WILL NOT DEBATE PROF. SOYINKA. Like many Nigerians we are bewildered by the late hour intervention of our respected Nobel laureate Prof Wole Soyinka in issues around the flawed 2023 elections. Where was he all this while? One of those who should ordinarily and rightfully be honoured as the conscience of the nation, Prof. Soyinka is now criminalising dissent and infact weighing in on the side of fraud and injustice! We state therefore that the vice-presidential candidate of Labour Party, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed cannot take up Prof. Soyinka’s offer of a public debate, not out of cowardice, but for cultural and political reasons. Culturally it’s just not decent, their age and accomplishment gaps taken into account, for Datti to sit opposite the 88 year-old global icon and point out his folly to his face, even if the old man called for it. And politically there is no basis for such a challenge in that Prof. is not on any of the opposite ballots. If however he can use his influence to drag his preferred candidates, who resisted debates throughout the campaign, to the studio this second, Datti says he is more than willing to take them on. Signed: Obi-Datti Media Office.'' https://www.channelstv.com/2023/04/08/baba-ahmed-will-debate-with-your-preferred-candidates-not-you-lp-replies-soyinka/

Was their education sponsored by the government? Was any grant given to them during their school days to warrant these selfish politicians to make such demand? |
theophorus:This your comment says it all. The fact is that they didn't know the value of what they had, that's if at all they had anything. |
