This will make rigging very easy. Just bribe the person going to vote for that very state. What works in the USA will not work in Nigeria.

Electorates will protect their votes at the state level. A lot of rigging takes place in the current structure. This current structure also make the political domination of some parts of the country easy. Imagine a situation whereby Rivers or Kano will pull out a figure equal to that of 4 states in an election largely voted along religious and political lines with a lot of underage voters just to push up the numbers.

My own is that any political reform in this country must ensure that every state, no matter how big or small has 1 vote in presidential elections. We have 36 states + FCT. Every election should have 37 votes. The party that has 19 votes will be the winner.
Any party that wins a state will have the vote of that state.
This arrangement will prevent the political domination of some parts of the country. It will prevent a repeat of Rivers and Kano magic of the last elections.

If Afonjas Tell You Why Not Make Anambra Like Lagos? Tell Them This...what is stopping you from making Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti like Lagos? These people have no sense at all. The reason why some people tell you Igbos to make Anambra look like Lagos is because many of you claim to develop Lagos. If you can develop Lagos to be the 4th largest economy in Africa, why can't you develop the whole SE to be at least like Lagos since you are globally known for your developmental strides. I have never seen the SW people claiming the development of Lagos thus, your idea of telling them to develop Ekiti, Oyo, etc is silly.
