You should also realize that most of them from Nigeria were government projects, as compared to mostly private property seen from other countries. That's far worse. An individual can die and his projects go abandoned, but what excuse is there for a massive government project to reach near completion and then be abandoned? Isn't that proof that it wasn't necessary in the first place?

Burna has done very very well for himself in the space of just 2 years. A small window of opportunity opened and he made the most of it to fire himself to the top to become Africas most streamed artist. Talent cannot be ignored forever.

I don’t know where this issue is coming from, but most people on Nairaland seem to have this exact problem of making statements like:
- He don’t worth it.
- She doesn’t worth it.
- It doesn’t worth that amount.
- How much does he worth?

These are all completely wrong!
I don’t know who started it, or why so many Nairalanders with, otherwise good grammar, seem to make this particular mistake.

”Don’t”, “Does” and “Doesn’t” should NEVER come before “Worth”. Please.

The correct usage is:
- He isn’t worth it.
- She’s not worth it.
- It’s not worth that amount.
- How much is he worth?

I hope u know iPhone x renders with that notch have been leaked as far back as 2016, way before anyone knew anything about the essential phone. Just check the images below. The first image was June 9 2017. Essential phone was announced in May 2017, r u telling me it took apple just 1 month to design the iPhone x? Lol.

If that is not enough check the other pictures, as far back as 2016 they have been working on that design. Now who copied who? Like I said earlier, essential phone was rush to be released, it was not a finished product and that was why it failed.

You’d prove your point better by showing me a journal from 2016, with the notch design renders. As far as I know, nobody guessed anything about that design until a few weeks before it’s announcement. I also know the design came as a surprise to many tech reviewers, I still remember clearly. But I get your point...you think Essential copied Apple, because it’s easier to believe they saw an Apple render and made a phone out of it, than it is to believe that Apple saw the Essential render/phone and designed a 3D render after it.

And also try looking at the Essential Phone. That is in no way similar to the iPhone (apart from being a notch). It can't be a copy.

No launch was called off. Samsung released prototypes of the Fold to Tech Reviewers for testing. They found a problem with the screen attachment and the hinge. Samsung rectified it before releasing the actual mainstream Galaxy Fold to the public. The actual models of the Fold haven't had any problem whatsoever. Try to keep yourself updated.

The thing is this, yes iPhone is not the first to implement a notch, but u should know the design of the iPhone x was leaked several months before its release. Essential phone was just quick to release their phone before the iPhone x. iPhone made the notch popular. The iphone serves as a statue that other phone manufacturers copy. Apple made the new camera trend popular now every phone maker is releasing phones with back camera similar to iPhone 11. Apple made headphone jack removal a normal thing. If they decide to bring back the headphone jack with the next iPhone then every other phone makers that have been removing headphone jack from their phones will bring it back. So many other things like micro SIM card, nano SIM, etc were made popular by apple.

Apple know how much they control the market and this is why sometimes they are slow to innovate as they don't want to rush some techs into the market so they won't run out of ideas for the next iPhone. If apple released their next iPhone without any physical buttons don't be surprised other phone makers will follow.

I disagree. The design of the iPhone X was a surprise to many in the tech world. Apple announced both the 8 and the X at the same time...what for? The way they released the X made the 8 obsolete in just 2-3 months after its release. Why the hurry from Apple? It seems to me that they wanted to implement the new design from Essential as soon as possible. The Essential phone was announced and released even before the iPhone 8...I really doubt they could have copied the design of the X.
Apple haven't innovated anything in recent years.

Lol. You’re right. But the truth is, Apple as a company, have carved out a special place for themselves in the smartphone (and tech) industry. While people’s preference of Apple may be due to their inability to reason beyond the “norm”, we have to hand it to Apple, they have managed to be insanely successful in an insanely competitive market. At the end of the day, it’s all just business. If you can get the majority of people to ignore logic, and pick you for superficial reasons, then you are definitely the smartest amongst your competitors (from a business perspective).

a lecturer of mine uses s20 ultra and i can tell it it makes quality photos with that high mp but 11pro max still stands out, where ever you are and see a picture shot on 11pro max, you don’t need anyone to tell you that that’s an iphone picture based on the quality you see, its potrait mode remains top notch ... Be careful when you say these things “you don’t need anyone to tell you that’s an iPhone picture”.

A Tech reviewer did a smart test on smartphones with the best camera. He did this by taking pictures of the same thing, with different smartphones, pairing up pictures, and asking people to vote. When he posts the pictures, he doesn’t reveal which phone took them. Whichever phone loses gets knocked out, and the remaining phones more on to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. I participated in the voting process, and I also thought I could identify the good camera...even guessing between the iPhone and the Google Pixel.

At the end of the voting, when he revealed the results, it turned out that the iPhone got knocked out in the first round...it completely lapsed a particular picture mode and produced the worst picture of all the phones available (note this iPhone was the iPhone 11 Pro!!!). It shocked everybody!

The two finalists...the Samsung Galaxy S10e and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. I can assure you those polls were a testament to who truly had the best camera of that year (or should I say, most preferred) because the two phones from Samsung use the exact same camera. For both of them to be the finalists isn’t a coincidence. People only say iPhones produce the best picture when they know it’s an iPhone that took it.
