Religion / Re: 2014 Prophecy By W.f. Kumuyi Of Deeper Life by DrBaby(f): 6:02pm On Jan 02, 2014
koboko69: Firstly this OP made a blunder. Pastor kumuyi have never involved himself in giving predictions about future events neither has he involved himself in rallying around politicians or involving himself in politics directly or indirectly. He only gave a message in totality and in truth. He condemned pastors medling with politicians and involving them selves in politics of this world.

OP also made a blunder about the fb samson and the lailai thing. Pastor kumuyi only said the media and technology we have today including the telecoms, where u can sit and u get a message say 'if u lonely text LOVE to maybe 3456' then someone at the other end replies u. Be4 u knw it you have the lailai on samson's laps or vice versa. Saying we habe to be careful with the social media..using facebook as an example...cos we can meet various kind of people online.

This is the problem I have with some of the deeperlife members. Even me a non member understands the message than this OP. Some of them can just be overzealous. Mtcheeew

Bros no vex o...but who/ what is lailai?...if u av been a christian for a day or if uv opened d bible before...u wl know its delilah and not lailai/ladun/linda...lol (just kiddin).

Anyways, I listened to this message via the live portal (online) and I must say I was richly blessed. Couldnt stop prayin for abt 2 hrs even after d message had ended.
Prophecy or not, the sound word of God wl always bring victory our way.
And to Pastor kumuyi, who is one of the very few MOG who is able to stick to the undiluted word despite changing times, I say God bless u . May you not miss ur ultimate reward (heaven).

Why do we always talk like dis wen sex is being discussed...even ppl who arent active will come here n be ranting....some of des guys talkin here av not had sex in d past six month yet dey talk as if dey do it every day.
Young ppl read al des things we write here and dey get a wrong picture of wats truly happening.
Even if u r gonna av sex, if its premature it wl def bring ANY relationship down. Der is a stage in a rel u get to dt sex actually binds u together n helps u appreciate d other person more.
I was in a strictly 'no contact' rel for 3 years...and for more than five years after breakin up dis guy cldnt let go because he truly loved me n d bond we ad was magical.
Stayin without sex gives u room to understand and grow to love each oder more. It helps u bond truly n gives u the chance to think better with ur brain dan wt some silly hormones runnin thru ur veins.
Sex shld be d icing on d cake and not wat d cake is made of.
Ps: I do not support sex at any stage in a rel.

I am happy about dis and I think no one shld be discriminated against on any basis be it religion, colour , sex, disability or anything at all.
But as much as muslims clamour for consideration, recognition and equitable treatment everywhere dey find demselves, I really do hope dey understand dey av to be tolerant and not discriminate against other religion particularly in muslim dominated countries n regions.
When will christians n indeed other religions be able to practice der faith freely in saudi?...when wl dey make efforts to tolerate others even in der sharia ruled states.
I knw discrimination is not only peculiar to muslims but first we need to be clear that dos advocating freedom of religion first allow others practice der own religion freely.

PS; this is a very neutral statement airing my view , I do not think its derogatory to anyone, if I get banned den u av just confirmed d intolerance I av noticed on most muslim threads. Let ppl air der view within safe limits.

'Una thank you o' for dis post...srsly, d bullying ish is a big deal...al thru my life in naija, I neva tot of d word bully, I knw abt tease, abuse, curse or beat bt not bully...until I came to dis UK...den I understood it.
I tot I was bold n strong enof...mehn 'workplace bullying is real'. And na one male nurse o, d guy bully me so tey I call my fiance dey cry one day for phone. See encouragement , prayers n plenty sorry...na so I go dey fear to go work everyday.
Ask me wat did d nurse do?...in naija terms, 'nothing'.
Very subtle things like 'askin me wat I dont know n av no business knwn'... makin me appear incompetent in d eye of ppl/pts even for inconsequential things.
D guy wl b askin me questns n usin abbreviations am nt familiar wt n wen I ask him wat it means...he wl just say 'so u dont knw?..den dont bother'. He was just bent on makin me look/feel inferior. God knws I dint do anything to dis guy frm day 1. And I dint want to report him cos I was new at d hosp.
After like 2 months, my naija spirit just rose up frm d grave, lol....I rmbrd aw I dealt with those stubborn matrons. I first ignored d guy for like a month, stopd doin him any favour, stopd respondin to his greetns sef, neva laffes to his jokes, call him n order him around abt pts (afterall he is d nurse...apologies to al nurses), and I started watchn out for any of his mistakes n confront him wt it.
Then he saw dt dis naija babe no be soft meat. He started respectn me, wl neva call me by my first name even if we r on break, chattn or jokin generally...na so so doctor dis, doctor dat....
D day I was leavin he gave me d longest hug...na so I dey tell d oda yoruba nurse for dia say ' see dis ur friend, if to say I no show am pepper he for no change' and d guy was like 'wat dis u say?'...I said...'not to worry, just appreciatn ur hug'...lols

Personally, I hate goin to restaurants on a date. I have never done it before. My ex always wanted it but I always declined.
My idea of a date is for us to stay somewhere nice n comfortable, devoid of any continous distraction and gist the whole time off, sometimes I want to stay indoors n watch movies wt d 'someone'. And if we are hungry, we go out (somewhere close to home), buy out or eat and leave.
I actually dislike the idea of eating on a date, u shld av ad sometin to eat n b relaxed before seein someone, except if it extends across mealtimes. (Usually, just drinks wld do).
I guess d first time I went to a restaurant wt my fiance was almost four years afta we started dating...and that was inbetween watchn a movie n waitn on friends.
Anyways, cant blame some girls, most guys r nt to b trusted des days, so u better take him to where d world can see u both n leave little room for d 'undesired'.
Altho goin on date to 'spend d guys money' seems more like a naija thing, anyone can pick up d bills at a restaurant n ders absolutely notin wrong in sharing the bills if d aim was to enjoy each odas company.

After living so close to d most notorious university in Lagos, I can say I av seen too many cult clashes to be counted. I knw too many ppl who av died frm it (almost al were cultist, infact all of dem). The most painful one was dt sunday mornin wen dey killed my neighbour (we av bn neighbours for over 15 yrs, went to same sec. Schl). He came back frm orientation camp n was killed dt mornin while his parents ad gone to early morn service for thanksgivin for his graduation frm schl.
Mehn, des cult guys came in so early, dey hung around d area, dey knew he was in, n d moment he stepped out, dey followed him n hacked him down straight. Twas too painful bt we al saw it comin cos d guy n his younger bro joined cult while we were al waitn for Uni admissions.
I think dey take pride in killin close to home.
While I give seun d benefit of doubt, yes, he cld b innocent, but I knw dos guys HARDLY EVER kill innocent ppl.

Dont knw why I am dis interested in dis topic, mayb its cos am free today bt pls I do not av special interest in the royal family.
But then 12 billion naira is actually nothing even to our thieving politicians. Pls can anyone quote me an embezzlement figure in d last 5 years that is less than 12 billion?... des ppl steal in hundreds of billions and trillions of naira.
The recent pension fund abi na police fund or nepa sef, I cant rmbr bt the figure was 27.2 trillion tho the guy only attested to embezzling 2 trillion or so, abeg aw many years of royal spendn is dat?
And as far as we av no verified figures of govt spendn, den we can think d worst.
By d way, y r we comparing GEJ to dis woman?, lets compare him to David cameron and see that sleep n death r incomparable.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Queen Elizabeth To Receive £37.9million Pay Rise by DrBaby(f): 1:13pm On Oct 13, 2013
Mobsync: It's funny how we Nigerians reason; no wonder GEJ said he's the world's most hated president.

Assuming it was GEJ that was spending such exhorbitant amount on a yearly basis, we'll all have been criticizing him and calling hom everything in the book but since it's Britain, we keep quiet and say the queen deserves it, right?

It's called hypocrisy aka double standards. Always stand up for what is right no matter the party/parties involved.

And for the keeps, £37.9 million pounds is almost 12 billion naira

I agree a little wt wat u av said, but first of all, u cannot compare the cost of living in the UK and naija, and we al knw that the presidents feeding budget alone was 1 billion last yr, so wen u add all other budgets it wl definitely surpass this 12 billion. Also rmbr the queen has more official duties n trips to make due to d many countries under her control and d tradition since time immemorial.
Also we hav an idea where the queen generates her revenue from, landed properties are a huge investment in the UK and taking rents frm all the crown properties in a choice area like westminster sure amounts to a lot of cash minus al her oda revenues.Pls where does GEJ make his money from?
No one is askin d president to starve his family , al we need is a sense of responsibility n accountability. We av no idea and cannot verify wat figures the president gives to us.
I am not sayin d Queen does nt benefit frm taxpayers money but am sure she wil not use it to organise a party for 5000 guests celebrating the resurrection of the first lady.
I do not particularly like the Royal family because the crase abt them is too much but if dey have made frantic efforts to cut down on der expenses over d years to d tune of 60% despite inflation and rising costs, den dey shld b praised.
Make GEJ reduce presidential spendn by 30% alone n see wat effect dt wl av on the economy. ....

Hmmn, der is an iota of truth in wat d guy said...its just our normal way of life esp Africans, we do not pay attention to details at all.
Since I left naija to practice medicine here ...gush, d diff is too clear. Yes, its same me n same medical knowledge but I dare nt do dos things I do in naija. And dis is due to both systemic n personal issues. They pay as much attention to putting policies in place as to ensuring these policies r enforced. There r more non-clinical staffs than clinical ones in every hosp here.
Every single minute, ur license is on the line. Every thing u do is traceable. The IT they run in d hosp is superb ...dey wl 'catch' u sha ni. They also put systems in place to help u, u av al d guidelnes on d intranet, u av ppl to call to seek help and der is absoultely nothing wrong wt 'i dont know' even if ur consultant asks u. Everyone appreciates it. But d moment u commit to sometn, den u r liable even ten yrs frm now, u r stl liable for wat u did today. No one expects u to prescribe from ur brain/head ( dt sh*t is rubbish)...there is BNF everywhere n u cannot say 'i forgot', ' i thought'...etc.
If u wake up in d morning not feelin up to it, u r encouraged to 'call in sick n only return to work wen u r fine'. The moment u step in....no excuses, u av to give d best care possible.
No matter aw much i try to hurry, i stl spend nothing less than an hour to see one patient ( due to al d mandatory things u must do) meanwhile for naija, we dey see pts 10/15 mns o...no one ova works u here, u r either on day or night shifts....i remember wen i used to do weekend shifts in naija ( work 24hrs a day frm friday til monday morn) wen i no b machine, wat do u expect d quality of care to be?
I av learnt a lot n wen i come back to start up my own practice in naija( by Gods grace), thngs wl certainly not be d same.
Pls in everything we do ( whether aviation, medical etc) let us value human life cos everytin we do impacts directly or indirectly on the survival of d other man...yh, even if u work wt LAWMA...lol

@OP, I cant advise u on this but il say be guided by ur heart and sincerity which is wat God is most concerned abt (atleast the Christian God dt I know).
As a christian, der somethings I wld neva do or advice my brothers to do...eg working in a tobacco company, alcohol producing companies etc, even as a doctor I can never partake in abortion (by Gods grace) except if der is threat to the mothers life in which I know I am trying to save a life n myt loose anoda one (d foetus) in d process. I do not knw aw strongly the quran feels abt interest banking but we knw al businesses survive on profit which shldnt leave the bank out. No matter wat u do, u r providing a service and u r bound to make profit which in every way stil puts extra burdens on the customers.
Mayb u guys can shed more light on Islamic banking and educate d public , mayb one day everyone wil like n b comfortable wt it and myt advocate its use in naija even if its gonna b called 'non-interest' banking.
The Bible forbids interest on loan in the light of someone In need (my own understandn o) but I cannot imagine dangote takin a bank loan n doesnt pay interest wen he is gonna use it for his business and make profit from it...dt wont b fair on the man whose job is to make money available for ppl wen dey need it (providin services) and I bet most ppl who approach banks for loans use it for der business...am yet to see a man who goes to borrow frm d bank for his daily bread.
Pls educate us otherwise dis policy myt actually b one of dos specific to dos times wen money was nt d major means of exchange n ppl borrow/take loans for specific reasons.
Thank u

Kei144: Jobs in interest-seeking banks are for Christians. Muslims keep off!

Why do muslims always think they are in constant war wt christians?...there r many oda religions bt u guys are so blinded that everyone who is nt muslim is termed christian?...any policy coming frm d west is christian even tho d people incharge no longer believe in any God at al...do u knw wat ppl do on Sundays in d west?...dey go to d parks, walk der dogs...etc
It is now forbidden to read bibles in schls or talk about God even at work..
Most of der young generations dont believe in God n d very few churches left r for black migrants majorly...yet u ppl see everytin dey do as representative of the church at large n u even launch reprisal attacks? I reallytire for una...and pls dont tell me abt muslims cos we r d only Christian in my entire family frm our ancestors till now...n d constant battle frm d family never stops...only God has bn faithful.
@OP, even d bible conderms usury but I think its at an individual level...its nt abt d proceeds being a sin but abt helping ur fellow brother if u av d means n nt laying extra burden (interests) on someone who is in need which is why he has come to borrow from you in d first place...shalom

ajasa4link: Because the patient wasn't breathing for few minutes doesn't mean he's dead for crying out loud. That Bolton wanderers player who slumped on the pitch didn't breath for over 60minutes( a newspaper quoted 78minutes actually ),from the moment he slumped to the the time he was taken to the hospital,he wasn't breathing, yet he still woke and nobody claimed to have brought him back from death....I know miracles do happen, but we don't need to give religious meaning to everything that seems strange to us

Ok so he wasnt breathing...bt am sure dey must b giving him air (via bagmask, oropharangeal or nasopharangeal or endotracheal) or ventilating him. No human brain can recover fully from lack of oxygen for more than five minutes.
I do not knw d source of dis story n I avnt even watched d video...bt der r protocols n criteria for resuscitation n by d time a pt is certified dead (TOD)...trust me he/she is dead....cos after dey av stopped resuscitating..dey wait for abt 5 mins n den pronounce dead . By ds time d pts brain cells wl b dead...even if he was nt dead wen dey stopped resuscitatn (der r various reasons y a decision to stop resuscitatn a pt is made).
I do not doubt ur claims dt he stopped breathn for 60mins bt he must b gettn oxygen somehow...and nt breathin does nt mean he his dead...some pts r on ventilators for months n stil come out good.

tintingz: oh good I also have christian relatives the side of my mum(ex christian) family smiley

and are they mosque in vatical city? If there is can you start mentioning them? Saudi arabia was where Islam originated from and a strictly sharia law practiced...christians are allow to practice there religion but not allowed in public, you can do your christian thing in your house in saudi no one will come to disturb you but evangelizing your doctrine is not allowed in saudi law so the christian in that country should abide to the law.

sharia law is a practice in muslim countries, what boko haram are doing killing innocent people is wrong the Quran said "let there be compulsion in religion" in nigeria we have the traditionalist, christians, few athiest and so on, Islam can't be force on them Nigeria is not a muslim state so BH are doing the right thing by killing innocent people, mind you BH also killed many muslims like the 40 muslims killed in the mosque.

And what will i do if mosque are not allowed in my country then I will serve God in my house abi what else...we should learn to respect laws

there are also history of christian and pagan terrorist attacks in naija and yes BH are political tools you can see them moving as muslims but not doing the teaches of the Islam they are lost souls and Allah will punish them for there evil act they have done.

I knew this was gonna degenerate into this...but for your info, der r over 500 mosques in italy, muslims are allowed to practice der religion n talks are ongoin for official recognition by the states as regards der rights n d constitution....check google or wiki or wateva source u feel like.
The world has gone beyond hostility n intolerance to ppl just because a particular religion was started in a place...a lot has to b 'revised' wen it comes to religion because things av changed n so has ppl...imagine if we r al stl stuck to d old practices in terms of technology, science, medicine etc...bt because of our personal gains n feelin of superiority...we av al held to religion as it was in d old...not for d love of it..bt to fulfil our personal gains n desires....everybody wants to b in control of d world power...mind u I have no personal opinion or view abt dt.
But I knw dis wl nt continue for long...wen ppl r pushed to a wall...dey either enter into d wall (which is usually nt possible) or they react...and dis is usually d case...I just hope d muslim faithfuls r able to say/do something fast enof to save der faith...cos dey r fast becomin everybodys enemy....

tintingz: You are wrong in some of your post... So what do we say to the christians that killed many muslims and even eat them like cannibals.

When you say a moderate muslim can "easily" join radical muslims and backing it up with the Quran, you shouldn't be here posting on NL you should be runing for your life grin ...have you heard of any terrorist attacks in UAE, Qatar, Saudi arabia etc?

No where in the Quran said muslims should kill innocent people, muslims can only fight back if they are being attacked...the terrorist using Islam to justify their killings are in wrong path and NOT doing it for Allah(swt), Allah said "let there be NO compulsion in religion" so why would al'qaeda, alshabab, boko haram claim they are killing for Islam when Allah has warned of killing innocent souls, killing one person is like killing the whole mankind and saving one person is like saving the whole mankind says in the Quran.

"Fight does who fight you" is what is written the Quran not killing innocent women and children.

There are christian radical crusaders killing for their religion backing it up with the bible but I can't call all christians terrorist, it doesn't make any sense because in life we have the light and the dark the good and the bad.

I am very emotional at dis point and have decided not to say anything as I am frm a muslim family...bt I wl give u dis one short answer.
Those countries u called r very hostile to christians n oda religion so much dt dey av subdued it. Nobody is allowed to practice der religion...no single church in saudi-arabia...n d rest...and d problem wt muslims is dt dey want to dominate everywhere even countries wt minority muslims...u want sharia to reign...aw possible is dt.
Imagine if muslims r nt allowed to practice der religion or build der mosques in oda countries...wat wl u do?..
Loads of excuses as reasons why des terrorists attack...I do nt knw abt world history bt I knw abt naija history...we al knw d boko haram attacks were unprovoked. ..dey only hide under a lie to perpetrate der evil acts...
Dey av ruled naija for so long...dint bother to develop der region (northerners) and now blaming christians for der underdevelopment n backwardness...
BH is nt political...dey started as religious n gave demselves as political tools wen d need arose.
Am short of words stil...

He takes all d little bits n pieces of my life and makes a complete sense out of it at every given time T.
A perfect gentle man with a heart of Gold...totally n unreservedly committed to his woman....no oda woman even makes sense to him (yes I said it!!)..it makes me feel like am worth more than a goldmine...cos I av got someone who blivs totally in me n makes d whole world revolve around moi. I call him 'sweetlove'.

And finally, al thanks to my dad who made me understand who a true man is...he made me realise d most important virtue a man can have is a heart made of pure gold...and when I found dis, I stopped searchn. Now am not scared to marry dis man cos I am rest assured its only a continuation of the bundle of care n attention I always had.
