SportsRe: Better Player: Christian Obodo or Wilson Oruma? by drbigdaddyg(m): 11:45am On Sep 16, 2005
In one of the comments made by Eguavon after Sunday's match against Algeria in Oran, he (Eguavon) condemned Oruma with his own point of view. I know this will coerce some people into condemning Oruma.

On the contrary, I want to say that Oruma to me, is better than Obodo. Using obodo as his comparison will mean "over-underating" this soccer god of his former club, Socheaux.

You can agree with me by going through their performance in their different clubs.
SportsRe: Nigeria Bribes Rwanda to Defeat Angola in World Cup Qualifiers? by drbigdaddyg(m): 10:57am On Sep 14, 2005
Angolans must be stupid if they could say we bribed Algerians to loose to us. Who didn't see the battle b/w us and Algeria? If Algeria were out of the worldcup race, were they still out of African nations cup qualification. They fought there best because they wanted atleast to be enlisted among the countries for the African nations cup. Have they also forgotten that they bribed Algerians to win us in their own country? Make them go sit down.

Any thing nigerians do to qualify for world cup is not illegal so far as is not stopping the Algerians to play their own match. It is football politics. If we give Rwandans money, is not bribe, rather, incentive. You have to do certain things to encourage your aide or worker. Jesus demonstrated that during the talent-parable in the bible where he gave the coin that was withdrawn from the the foolish boy to the serious one that made out interest from his gift.

I foresee Rwandans winning the match because, they wouldn't want to rate themselves low before the world. Is going to be battle.

Lets watch out.
SportsRe: Laloko: Angola must be stopped at all cost by drbigdaddyg(m): 6:09pm On Sep 06, 2005
In my own opinion, I would say we will only make it by pledging some millions of dollars to Rwandans if they 'll hold the Angolans draw in their final match. Otherwise, Angolans will easily conquer Rwandans since Rwandans know they are already out of the match and they cannot oppose the world cup-hungry lions (Angolans).
I can't imagine a situation where I'll be sweating over something I know that I am not going to benefit. Is even likely their most-valuable players might have gone back to their clubs . So, inorder to attract them or, put in seriousness in them, there must be the pledge. I am therefore feeling the politics Laloka meant is lobbing the Rwandans. You cannot lobby the Angolans 'cos they need the worldcup as you need it and 'll possibly seek a means of reversing the case i.e, lobbing you people to loose to Zimbabweans.
Prayers I believe can settle the problem. Pray hard for Nigeria.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Algeria World Cup Qualifier by drbigdaddyg(m): 3:15pm On Sep 03, 2005
Ogbuike and Mikel can not drop if we have to follow the coach's instruction. He said that he has not ruled out any player on that cause. Problems Mikel and Ogbuike has are meant to befall any other person; imagine trying to settle the problems with their club at that point in time.

As for qualifying for world cup, I don't really know though I know Nigeria is winning Algeria.
The reason is because, I don't see why Angola can not win Gabon and Rwanda, unless they are not ambitious 'cos these teams(their opponents) will not perform more than the minimum if Angolans are serious.

As for the position of Okocha, is certain he is not going to play. But, somebody like Oruma can do good. He is an experienced player and is taken as a god in his former club(socheaux). He has skills just as Okocha has, and can handle the mid field properly. Let's not even mention Mikel Obi 'cos I am still under-rating him.

Our prayers now is for Angolans to either loose in atleast one of their remaining matches or draw one of them. Also, we shouldn't forget praying for Nigerians 'cos their two rivals are tough teams.
PoliticsRe: Cameroon, Nigeria, who owns Bakassi? by drbigdaddyg(m): 9:36am On Sep 02, 2005
makgod, we shouldn't because of the plenty we claim to be having keep dashing away everything.
About the bakassi issue, International Court of Justice is presided by french men. France happens to be Cameroun colonist(s) and till today pioneering them in so many areas. You cannot expect to be in favour of case whose sides have been taking by your opponents. Or, do u know the gain france will derive if Bakassi's oil is won over to cameroun.

As for the war issue, there is what we can call business law. In this situation, somebody can promise heaven and earth at the heat of the moment of  plight. When that case is eventually won, we will say it was promised unconsciously because of the situation at stake.

Gowon's pledge was very personal. It was not decided by any House due to the type of government we had (MILITARY). So, it can be revoked as a country can never be owned by an individual whose relationship with the country is as others .

Going by ethnic wise, Gowon is an Hausa man, bakassi belongs to Calabar, so, if there should be any break up in the country, it can be retrieved easily. U cannot sale something that does not belong to you.

Viewing it in another  aspect, what happens to the people who live inside there(bakassi)? So, they have been sold to another country. This is slavery which is seriously condemned by constitution of every country. They just sue for attempt of being sold as slaves. As simple as that.

I have only mentioned a few because of my time now. I'll post in more.
PoliticsRe: Who Should Be the Next President of Nigeria? by drbigdaddyg(m): 12:53pm On Sep 01, 2005
@obong, U needed to have passed through roads in Abia State to witness bad roads; roads past Governors have left in misery. This Governor (not related to me ooo) has reconstructed the roads, tarred them. He has given out loans in cash to people, free education to every student, built houses and rented them at cheap cost to civil servants of any status, free-medical care, given buses free for primary/secondary school students, visited universities and  each time donating buses and cash to the schools. He has been a peacemaker settling problems among villages. JUST MENTIONED A FEW.................
PoliticsRe: Does Ethnicity Matter for Governorship? by drbigdaddyg(m): 5:55pm On Aug 31, 2005
Hmmn, it can never be possible in Nigeria so far ethnic/religious racism is concerned. Imagine what has been a "rumour" of islamizing the whole country if given the slightest opportunity. If such rumour is tested and proved real, do u think igbo (christains) can give themselves islamic ticket; leaving Islams to rule them thereby islamizing them? Vice versa?

Untill we have come to deattach the value we 've attached to religion/belief, we can never have such dream actualize.

This is the reason why in civilised countries where there is little significance in one's religion or belief, people from northern part can rule in the southern part.

To make this come to pass, we must see ourselves as brothers and sisters, knowing that the religious aspect is just mere decision one takes. After all, every creature was from Adam and Eve.

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo's Library Launch: Do You Support it? by drbigdaddyg(m): 10:49am On Aug 24, 2005
The Library issue baffles me. I wonder how u'll see it if it happens that sea water which is meant to produce salt water starts bringing out spring water.
If Obasanjo has good purpose/intention  for Nigeria, he shouldn't have hiked fuel, diesel and kerosine price. What of banning importers (minus his cohort----DANGOTE) when he knows that we've not got independent enough to survive in the absence of some importations.
In our institutions, what year has gone without strike action?
If he has good intention, I will advice him to deploy those lorry-loads of money he has acquired for the library into restructuring our schools, reconstructing roads, and even seeing that he reduces the price of  crude oil.
I don't want to even talk of the pentioneers who are dying everyday as a result of accumulation of their salaries.
After all these major sectors have been settled, I'll personally campaign for his project.

I am getting annoyed hearing he is resigning/retiring or whatever. Will we be starved if he is sacked?
RomanceRe: Your Girlfriend Asks, "Honey, How Do I Look?" by drbigdaddyg(m): 10:02am On Aug 22, 2005
This is a very nice topic.
If I'm asked that, I think what she'll have in mind is your compliment. For her to have asked you such question means she has already assessed herself on the mirror and think you'll view it in her own way.
What else does she want? Feed her now.
PoliticsRe: Who Should Be the Next President of Nigeria? by drbigdaddyg(m): 3:30pm On Aug 20, 2005
you people are condemning Orji. I still have some points to make about him. Though it seems he might be eating money (which others will do even the BISHOPS u think of), he will do something, atleast bring some positive changes to this country. I believe a worker should eat. So, I am never against one eating the country's money, rather, doing something with the remaining.

Come to think of Abia State, he has done great there. His good sides have overshadowed the bad ones and nobody talks about him in the negative angle.
We can not expect getting a president who will go in there and come out without eating money. If you are looking for that, you should better stop dreaming.
