Lol... Nairaland o! |
I can imagine the expression on the faces of the SSS guys after they read through the 'sermon' and when he handed them letters of invitation for next Sunday service . Not only SSS knows how to give 'invitations' after-all ![]() |
See the picture o! Lol ![]() Chei!...and some people say religion & politics don't mix? Please! He used religion to his full advantage...see the way he knelt like an obedient school boy...it's ironic this same man ”doesn't give a damn” now. ![]() |
bodejohn: I had a different opinion on PTB's sermon until I read through the full text. I wish that all respondents read before commenting but since we have many people who can write but a few that can read in Nigeria, it might take forever for my wish to be granted.GOD bless U. Reading through the full text sheds more light to the whole matter. This confirms that most of the people asking for PTB's head haven't read through. |
Abrantie: Who gives a sh!!t about Apple? While Samsung is coming up with Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, microSD up to 64 GB,Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a gazillion true innovations, crAPPLE is shrinking connectors a la 1995.Probably to cool the nerves of some Apple fans who clicked an Apple labelled link on the front page earlier only to find themselves in a Windows 8 thread ![]() @ Muki. Well done ![]() |
Pastor or not, lawyer or not, the first thing that counts is that he's a Nigerian. PTB has always been a pain in the backside of governments. It's left for the government to be up & doing. Read the full text of his 'sermon' before concluding he's planning to kill the President. He only pointed out different possibilities that can lead to a change of government. If U take it as a prophecy, that's Ur own business...he 'doesn't give a damn' . If GEJ doesn't want to be criticized, then he shouldn't have ventured into politics in the 1st place. As for the religion & politics mix angle, it's saddens me that we have allowed these polithiefcians to rob us of our sanity. They come into churches filled with hundreds/thousands of the same people they are stealing blind, get front row/special seats and even wave at the congregation when their presence is specially acknowledged, and walk out unscathed! A time will come in this country when bad politicians will be afraid to walk the streets. |
Hmm...this thread shows that most people didn't read PTB's full message before making their comments. For those saying politics & religion don't mix, please think well. |
Mukina explain o |
The man behind Buhari in the picture could be mistaken for GEJ with his face & pose at a quick glance ![]() |
I'm speechless...it's a great disaster that the biggest black nation in the world, with the level of world civilization, has someone like this (and her husband) in the Presidential Villa. It's really shameful. Just imagine this woman in the midst of first ladies from Europe, Asia, Middle East, etc. How people didn't see this woman as a big reason why GEJ shouldn't even smell Aso Rock is beyond me. For someone (GEJ) supposedly an academician to have a wife who is at this level is a sign of gross failure on his part. Then a whole nation was handed to him! Dame Patience (and her husband) has no excuse for constantly embarrassing us within & outside the country. If the likes of Gani Adams & Salawa Abeni can develop themselves into what they are today, then the 1st family should do us a favour by at least sparing us the tragi-comedy acts of Dame. The (mostly) silly actions of her husband are enough burden to bear. |
Hope this won't be Maroko part 2 @Ceah... So U know Mukina? ![]() @Mukina...so U know Ceah? ![]() |
OMG! Brings back memories of those days o! The whole class 'chanting' the multiplication table with the teacher standing with those terrible 'atoris'. The teacher doesn't even need to walk to a student that's stuttering along in the chant before flogging him/her. Looking back now, our education system has gone to the dogs. Most notebooks these days have silly things on them and if it's from the government, U are saddled with the burden of pictures of some 'polithiefcians' starring at U with their evil smiles. Smh |
Hmm...so Apple's feeling the heat. Let's see how they'd reply when Microsoft strikes with Surface ![]() |
Chei! Nairaland strikes again ![]() |

gentledamsel: Got posted to borno state,I have been speechless since yesterday:-xCheer up damsel. U can suspend it till next batch. That they've moved orientation for Borno and some other state(s) to Adamawa shows something is really wrong there. |
buchai: I served in Borno though d area wasnt bad as it where now. Wen i was going 4 registratn wher i was postd 2 serve in MMC (during my primary assignmnt ) on my wy (ard 5am or sumtin afta 5) i confrontd security men(if it wher nw i cn cal dem bh) along dat Lake child Hotel i trekkd 4rm our family house close 2 Immamalik sec sch in jerusalem ' wasnt familiar wit all short route ard d town dem. A voice sid 2 me bros run 4 ur lyf, it was alryd a war within me 2 run or nt 2, i decided nt 2 cos i dnt kn any wher 2 run 2. Though i was vry mch afraid meetg four of dem wt der weapons dey askd me who i be? i told dem an a copper n wher i dey go? I'm going 2 MMC. Dey leav me walker der wy ds happaned 2007. I rili thank God 4 evrytin. Inspite of it all, i stl rememba borno wit mch love though i detest d killing n bombg of innocent lives i pray 4 us 2 support one anoda n leav all ds killing n bombg it wont take us any where. May God grant us peace unity love n progress we truly nid all of ds in our country nw n 4va IJN.Nice to read this. U sure brought back memories with Ur post. I was in Borno too around that period (2005/2006). I'm guessing it was Ur batch that had their endurance trek with armed soliders as escorts. I was posted to Wandali first then to Kwaya Kusa both under Biu but I lived in MMC (Deribe Hospital) throughout my stay there. I witnessed first hand, the violence that wiped out many lives during Alimodu Sheriff's term in office as Governor. Looking back now, I thank GOD I'm alive to tell the story. Before then, Borno state was the most peaceful place in the region and that made southerners/christians very calm and relaxed. The violence started like a joke but left many families in calamity. By the time we discovered there was trouble, all the churches around my house were on fire. For fresh corpers heading to the north, if U must go, then always be on Ur toes. It's weird to live in a place where U know violence can erupt at any time. Truely, it's a nice experience to travel round and meet people from other parts of the country but at this point in our country, think twice and remember U are a breathing investment. |
Oh! Just when I thought we've had a nice 'bloodless' Sunday! Why did I refresh this Nairaland page to see this thread? To think it was just after Mr. President's 'media chat' ... :p |
dplordx: Recession. NOI dey craze! I repeat, shes madt! *falls from Iroko tree* ![]() |
NASS is a huge joke. There are more pressing issues on ground for the sports committee to get busy with rather than this rubbish. Before we know it now, we may start hearing all sorts of weird stories on how these legislooters tried to get something out of the Roman Abramonvic bonus |
