It is not about being prudent. Does he have the capacity and wherewithal to deal with re-emerging problems in this country? Is he equipped cerebrally to deal with security issues? Can he creatively transform the country's dwindling economy ? I do not know when using carpet for 20 years became an achievement.
Uchexxy: It's funny that most people who have replied feels like money is d only motivating factor for Nigerians and I do understand this line of thought but I must say that it's not the case. Even with good salary structure, employees would leave if they don't feel valued enough or the workplace is toxic to them. I personally would be leaving my job this month and even if my salary is doubled, I still won't accept it cos I'm just fed up. It's that simple!
when I left my former employer, the MD was ready to match my current offer but the truth is that, peace of mind is underrated in this part of the world. Whites don't joke with mental health and this is one serious issue in Nigeria that is yet to be taken seriously. I used to work at least 6 days in a week and sometimes 7 days. The annoying thing was that my boss was offensive and made the workspace toxic for employees. Unfortunately, most of the employees can't leave because of the fear of the unknown.
Kingcalls: Employers are now acting like gods just cos they feel there is high level of unemployment.... the last time I worked 10yrs ago, my stupid boss was always insulting me and my other colleagues at the slightest opportunity and treating us like crap ....he tot I too was dependent on salary.... I change am for am , the fool was surprised, I almost throw am slap if not for my colleagues that held me ...I rained insults on the fool and walked away...after that day I promised myself I was never gonna work fir anyone again... the only good thing I gained was the experience, which helps me today in running my business
one thing Nigerians should be concerned about is that experience. Once you can garner a reasonable number of experience coupled with academic experience, you are good to go.
Qtsnow: Is Corporate Loyalty Dead?; 4 reasons why employees are calling it quits
The forces at play in the labour market don’t necessarily apply to every industry, so workers should do their own research about their field before leaving a job. Companies also need to get on the same page with employees by reconceptualizing what it means to be part of their organization.

I left my former employer because of toxicity. Many Nigerian employers have creatively learnt how to exploit employees because of the unemployment rate. Funny thing was that, despite the fact that I gave them one month prior notice, I didn't get paid for the 20 days that I worked with them. The fact that labour laws are impotent in Nigeria is a blessing to evil employers of labour.
heayernu56: I think the problem with the whole thing is that they made the pass mark known. This alone is why the expectation of alot people was high only to be disappointed. I am still waiting for my mail from them shaa
Apt. If it was stated clearly there that 80% was the cut-off mark, that shows that many people were unjustly overlooked.
alizma: You didn't follow the previous post on the topic. From what they said, though o don't know how true it is, the receptionist intended doing a side hustling. She gave her account number to the guy to pay into and by so doing she didn't record the man's details in her book so when they(she and her colleagues in the know of the side hustle) discovered the man had died the following day, they decided to take his corpse out in a blanket and dump it somewhere without the Management's knowledge. Now the grey areas are; 1) if you lodge in a hotel frequently, you will know that receptionist don't do such business with people that sleeps over or people that spend more than one day. 2) if the corpse was found wrapped in the hotel blanket, why didn't the police authority visit the hotel for enquiry even before they give go ahead that his body be buried? 3) Did the police authority publish any notice of corpse found by the road side before it gave the health workers clearance to bury the corpse?
All I am saying is that the aforementioned explanation by the Vanguard group is illogical. The issue with some Nigerians most times is that they are usually emotional rather than logical when it comes to provocative issues.
What about the confession from the receptionist? How come he was wrapped in the hotel blanket? I guess after the body had been fumigation they had to bury him with blanket from the hotel as parting gift.
ThickSharon123: Abeg, leave him alone. Doesn't she know she's a woman and she has power. I would never beg a man repeatedly. If I beg you once or twice and you do shakara for me, you're history in less than a week.
which yeye power she get? You honestly think that a liability and an indispensable person has lotta power. Wake up
itzdharmie: To be honest I have taken my mind off it, cos its really unfair working hard to get the cut off mark and others get called and some of us just have to keep refreshing our mail expecting an update from them. People with genuine info should tell us what is going on .
I thought we at least deserved a feedback from the recruitment team. If it was an Indigenous company, it wouldn't have surprised me but tbvh I expected more from Control Risks
drkrest: I didn't know that there were two batches. Please do you have further information?
Hello guys, please is there any recent update? Although I am pessimistic, I would still like to know the latest information as regards the recruitment process
itzdharmie: Hi everyone, please whoever has a genuine information concerning the phone interview that was conducted should please carry the rest of us along. Thank you
Imortantly, can people who scored above 90 hint us if they were selected for the rumoured phone interview.
