Its just a pity he had to open his mouth just to show us how ignorant he is. |
Funny, please someone tell me how he would provide the student if he remains in police custody. Is is going to do magic. Nigerian police sef. |
oukyouths: go and do your home work well, before making comments,Dr orji kalu is the 4th richest nigerian, why should he be desperate,he has an harvard degree,he doesn't need degree to rule a nation.what degree do you have?you are as timid as T.A orji himself. He he he,...... he is desperate and it now shows all through what he does. His Harvard degree must have been done in ur home town or in ariaria market Aba. I don't have to do any home work, I worked with the them while he was Governor so met him a lot of times. |
Well since I don't have a gf but a spouse I can't post her pix now can I. |
oukyouths: In recent times, the media has wrote so much about and enigma of our era, despite the news about how his degree was unconstitutionally revoke, attacks on his country home at Igbere, still the Ndigbo community still recognizes his achievement in Igbo land,Nigeria and diaspora.this was a letter from Njikoigbo UK chapter, identifying Dr Orji Uzor Kalu as the ojukwu of our time.Hehehehehe,...let me laugh in Chinese. But why is OUK so desperate. We know how he stole from Abia state why he was governor. We also knew what made him run to Abia state university to obtain a degree, pity he didn't finish the program so he is not a graduate, meaning he does not have a university degree so I wonder how he is going to rule Nigeria without. Its simple, he played other and they played him back and he lost out. OUK should do himself and his supporters a favour, he should retire out of politics let younger educated people rule the country like it was meant to be and not old born-out proliticians. A word is enough for the wise. |
Biafra rep: Good to note that you acknowledge the fact that there has been activity going on like grading and pouring of laterite. Okorocha built a new dual carriage bypass(Sam Mbakwe road)off Bank/Orlu road, he is building another bypass off Aba road that would connect wetheral road with a bridge across the nworie river/erosion site. he built Imo school for advanced studies at Egbu(post degree institution) he built 10,000 capacity Ojukwu square at new Owerri. Rochas rebuilt the abandoned commissioners quarters at new Owerri( these buildings were not only eyesore but they also provided habitat for reptiles and miscreants. He is constructing a new road through virgin forest off Owerri/Onitsha express way. These are just the few I saw with my eyes when last I came to Owerri, THEY ARE BY NO MEANS EXHAUSTIVE! I had my university education at FUTO and I know Owerri and its environ like the lines on my palm! I witnessed the Achike Udenwa(8years) and Ikedi Ohakim(4 years) non can be compared to Rochas and he is barely two years old in Douglass house! My brother its obvious that you don't mean well for Imo state, please shed your crocodile tears for states like Abia, Delta, Anambra etc they are the ones that need your sympathy! Was also surprised when I returned to owerri last hear and saw what he was doing. I worked in owerri during Achike's era and schooled in there during the earlier governors so Rochas has done quite well but there's still more to be done. |
mygee33: THe amount of road projects already COMPLETED but Okorcha in 18months will only marvel you. The ones that re ongoing (I still wonder how IMO will be if the re all completed) PDP cannot comprehend. He is working now but he may not work again once he gets his second term, shey una sabi that one. |
asha 80: that is strange coming from you.Oh! Really, if u have something to say please say it, I've got nothing to hide. I don't like the man Rochas cos I happen to know and believe he is a snake (without sentiments, but then he won't have made the kind of money he did if he wasn't) but I strongly believe when someone has done and is still doing a good job. He should be praised for the one he has done so far, and encouraged for the ones he is about to do. That's my policy and that's why I made my statement (controversial as it may seem to u). If u doubt go to IMO state, his projects so far in the state are in danger of turning me into a believer. |

Toaskarity: Was buhari ever a democractic president? all this while I thought he ruled nigeria during military rule .Its the part of the problem this country has. Its leaders past and present would never tell themselves the truth where they failed. Look at buhari trying to white wash himself to appear better than we all know he is. |
mens dept: LMAO.. PDP calling Okorocha a failure after 1 years as governor when they had 12 years of misrule. Can't agree more. If u doubt go and look at changes the man is doing to his state and compare to that to what PDP has achieved in 12 years. |
chiover: I am so happy that baba is also one of our leaders. Does this assertion means that baba is also a bad leaderYes it also involves him. Funny he made the statement hoping to indict someone but forgot when u point a finger at someone, four more fingers are pointed to you. |

Emusan: I met a lady on facebook middle of last year initially I don't have intention of serious relationship with her. Three Month's later, I met another lady on facebook but based on my past experience in relationship I didn't take them serious. Recently, the two of them have been showing sign of serious commitment, and I never plan of double dating in my life but i'm totally confused because I'm getting much more involve likewise them. Sincere speaking I love both of them even equally but my concern is that I don't want to double date but for me to say I'm no more interested is difficult.Facebook love is not real |
fkaz: If late odumegwu ojukwu remain the national leader of the party then APGA is a memorial political party, sorry but u can't will a politically elected position to someone else. Besides, Ojukwu is dead so anyone saying he is still party leaders is dreaming (with all due respect, this includes his widow). |
Blackteeth: Absu withdrew one certificate, but when he eventually becomes president they would return 3 certificates to him.don't worry he would neva become president. Nigerians maybe sometimes dense but they are not stupid.. |
hehehe, let the pressures continue. Anything to straighten PDP 4rm their croaked path is welcomed... |
And the Cretin in Chief of the Armed forces of Nigeria is hiding somewhere in Aso-Rock under Patience' wrapper... Shame on the Coward we have as President!! Same coward who transferred a National Celebration from Eagle's square to his bedroom because of fear of Boko Haram... Shame on the Aso-Rock drunkard!!!
Na wah 4 una. Its all political maneuver setup to make sure that you act exactly how you're doing now. I admire their confidence and was surprised when I saw the pix, that was before I then saw what they hoped to gain if they got there before Jonathan. The knew the president would go there in a few weeks so they ran there first, it all spells political under tones. Remember still they would get there prepared with lots of military power so they don't have anything to fear. |
........he will shit and vomit the mobilization fees he was paid for covering the event... |
The House of Representatives raised the alarm on Thursday that an alleged plan to sell of an oil vessel, M.T. Tuma, by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, could leave the country with a loss of over $70m. According to the House, the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, a subsidiary of NNPC, purchased the vessel for the “purpose of haulage of petroleum products.” However, a motion sponsored by a lawmaker, Mr. Kamil Akinlabi, indicated that M.T. Tuma had become a burden on the NNPC, costing millions of dollars to maintain. He recalled that the ship was abandoned in Brazil in 2007 after it was sent for repairs “with a resultant resurgence cost of over $5m.” Akinlabi added, “M.T. Tuma found her way into the shores of this country sometime in May 2012 with the job not done or poorly done, despite the fact that the NNPC had spent about $60m arising from demurrage, port charges, fines and other related charges in Brazil. “Several contracts were awarded for the maintenance of the said vessel with money paid out to various companies without any work done. Tuma is now lying idle on the high seas and not in good condition to perform any function after the NNPC had spent at least $60m of tax payers’ money. “The NNPC management/PPMC is by now considering a total disposal of the ship, which will lead to a total loss exceeding $70m.” The House unanimously passed the motion and directed its Joint Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) to “investigate the prolonged stay of the ship in Brazil, the role of individuals and companies connected and report back to the House within six weeks.” In a separate resolution, lawmakers also mandated the Committee on Drugs/Narcotics and Financial Crimes to investigate the status of all seized and sold assets by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The sponsor of the motion, Mr. Toby Okechukwu, told the House that though the EFCC seized many assets from people it investigated and prosecuted, Nigerians hardly knew what happened to the assets. He said in 2008, an Asset Forfeiture Unit was set up by the agency and was charged with the responsibility of ensuring that all assets forfeited to the government were verified. “Between 2003 and 2010, the EFCC had confiscated over 200 mansions through 46 forfeiture of court orders. “These landed properties and business concerns, which were estimated to be over N2tn, included billions of naira in bank accounts, shares in blue chip companies, exotic vehicles, fuel stations, hotels, warehouses, shopping malls, schools, bakeries, estates, telecommunications companies, and radio stations in and out side Nigeria.” The Minority Whip, Mr. Samson Osagie, supported the motion and expressed concern that nobody was beaming the searchlight on the EFCC. “The EFCC itself must be scrutinised from time-to-time to be accountable in the manner it manages its affairs,” he said. The country lost $50bn (N8tn) in the last two years to neighbouring countries as a result of illegal mining and exportation of unprocessed gold. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Mr. Linus Awute, said this on Wednesday during an interview on the sidelines of the Nigerian-Brazil Investment Forum in Abuja. He described the loss as monumental, adding that the activities of illegal gold miners were far beyond control. Awute, however, added that the Federal Government had put in place mechanism to address the problem. He said, “What the country loses to illegal mining is tremendous; but the truth is that the amount of gold that left this country because of the illegal mining activities was more than $50bn in the last two years. “The amount of unprocessed gold that has left this country through the neighbouring countries, Ghana in particular, and being processed in Ashanti, is enormous.” Awute, however, said the Federal Government had begun the process of formalising the operations of illegal miners in the country, adding that such a move would help to generate revenue in the form of royalties to the government. He said, “The solution to informal mining or illegal mining is to get them formalised and that is what we are doing right now. We have over 600 groups that formed themselves into cooperative societies. “The most exciting thing is that there is tremendous increase in the percentage of accruable royalties to the government through the regularisation of their activities.’’ Awute pointed out that a road map for the development of the mining sector had been produced by the ministry, adding that the framework would help to set out vital programmes to be implemented in the short, medium and long term. The permanent secretary said a new policy that would help to enhance performance and regulate the sector adequately had been put in place. He also said the ministry had forwarded a draft Metallurgical Bill to the Ministry of Justice to provide a veritable tool to regulate and monitor activities in the metal sector. The bill, according to him, will ensure efficient operations in the industry in line with world best practices as well as improve the working conditions of the people. He said, “If the sector is well developed, it will provide alternative sources of internally generated foreign exchange that can be used to fund critical infrastructure projects. “It will also aid the creation of economic activities and organised settlements in the rural and semi-urban centres as well as create employment opportunities.’’ Read more at: http://www.punchng.com/news/nigeria-loses-n8tn-to-illegal-gold-miners/#sthash.EgIybVU7.dpuf |

BBC The widely-used insect repellent Deet appears to be losing its effectiveness against mosquitoes, scientists say. Researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine say mosquitoes are first deterred by the substance, but then later ignore it, reports the BBC. They say more research is needed to find alternatives to Deet, which was first developed by the US military. The research was carried out on Aedes aegypti, a species of mosquito that spreads dengue and yellow fever. The findings are published in the journal Plos One. Dr James Logan from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said: "The more we can understand about how repellents work and how mosquitoes detect them, the better we can work out ways to get around the problem when they do become resistant to repellents. Deet - or N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide - is one of the most widely used active ingredients in insect repellents. It was developed by the US military, following its experience of jungle warfare during World War II. For many years, it was not clear exactly how the chemical worked, but recent research suggests that insects simply do not like the smell. However, there are concerns that some mosquitoes are growing resistant to it. To find out more, researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine took some A. aegypti mosquitoes in the laboratory, and tempted them with a human arm covered in Deet. As expected, the repellent put the insects off their potential meal. However, a few hours later when the same mosquitoes were offered a chance to dine again, the researchers found that the Deet was less effective. To investigate why this might be happening, the researchers attached electrodes to the insects' antenna. Dr Logan explained: "We were able to record the response of the receptors on the antenna to Deet, and what we found was the mosquitoes were no longer as sensitive to the chemical, so they weren't picking it up as well. "There is something about being exposed to the chemical that first time that changes their olfactory system - changes their sense of smell - and their ability to smell Deet, which makes it less effective." http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/mosquitoes-ignore-insect-repellent/140182/ |
