DailyNews: I have two friends in New York & Texas now, who wants to get married & had been pleading with me to help them find a decent girl in Nigeria to marry, that our Nigerian ladies down there are nothing to write home about, I still wonder why shaa....another of my friend that is doing his masters in UK, is always telling me that Nigerian ladies in UK are not marriage-able, said a lot of ill things about them which makes me wonder if abroad is a curse or a blessing to our ladies? Now to the topic, @op, tell your friend to border less, but honestly, working in Nigeria is far more comfortable, sweeter & profitable than working in America or Europe if its a good co. And couple with her fears, she should ask the co. to pls retain her here in Nigeria until she is emotionally settled to migrate abroad. If then she is lucky enough for the co. to accept her option, then she needs to make herself visible to her kind of men so that she can connect with one soon before it gets too late & by then, she will be seen as a bad lady who had been running around with old men...which may damper her chances of finding a true man to marry for a lasting happy marriage she desires. But then, what has she been doing all these while that she hasn't found herself a fiancee? A man can be completely single @late twenties, cos of so many reasons, but a lady is somewhat hard to believe. I hope this story is not fried up to enlighten usI don´t know how these stories come up but a friend of mine is currently preparing for his traditional wedding in a few days. He is marying his girl friend of 8 months who is a student in the UK. The lady he is marrying has lived in the UK for a long time (my guy didn´t tell me how long). But she is Nigerian and she lives in the UK. |
probably what onila had in mind |
Wifey´s is the only lady I proposed to but was not the only one I dated in the past when I was still looking. |
onila: we eat whatever we likeMaybe now cos u haven´t pushed any kids out onila: we dont feel insecure during the summer time unlike some fat girls who are scared to wear shorts etcAll women feel insecure about something onila: we usually have a flat tummy/stomachThat remains to be seen onila: we dont have too much cellulite or stretch marks on our skinYet to find studies that agree with u onila: even if we push out 20 children we still stay slimHmm, better wait till u push the children out b4 u make comments like that. onila: we are more confident when wearing a bikini to the beachthats a matter of opinion. onila: we dont look too slutty and ewwishI bet u envy those girls thats why u are here trying to talk em down |
You get time
maybe I get time but u won´t know how serious it is till u come in contact with people suffering from it. |
DONkollione: i hv a frnds who's dating a 21yr old undergraduate dat still bedwets, he luvs her so much and doesn't want to leave her, pls advice him what should he do to help dis girl. Should he run?he should take her to his doctor. Its more of a psychological problems that the girl has. It should be handled ASAP otherwise she may be scared for life. I know. I had a case like that in Uni. The lady came out unscared but her Aunty had the same problem and was not so lucky. |
slimyem: that's thew real ish here mister!hmm let me see, if my wife had proposed how would I have felt. Give me a minute 2 think,...I won´t have felt anyhow. I wanted to date the person I married so I could get to know her and she me. I got that. I wanted an independent lady, I also got that. I wanted a woman that would tell me her mind no matter how hard it would hit me. I got a rather sharp mouthed wife and I love her honesty. I wanted a woman I would love and one that would love me back thru thick and thing. I also got that.So u tell me, if her proposing to me would have bothered me at all. The main fact for me was we understood ourselves and that we are able to work 2gether. |
slimyem: did your wife propose to you?my wife didn´t propose to me, but I dated her way back in Uni b4 we got married. We both uninanimously agreed to do it so we did. I remember how mad she was once when I playfully kind of hinted that she was the one that suggested we wed I found it very funny and I still tease her about it. Nigerian women should grow-up and remove that mentality from their heads. |
How many men have you met or spoke with? This generalizations are simply silly
I agree with u and I posted something to that effect https://www.nairaland.com/942404/how-does-he-convince-marry |
(rolling eyes at Sexkillz) I know several married couples varies in ethnicity, religion, and culture, where the woman have proposed to the man. They all are in a happy marriage. It has nothing to do with who propose first....traditionally a man proposes to the woman however many people are becoming non-traditionalist (which I heavily supports) and doing what makes them happy collectively. I am totally against cookie cutter mentality of how each individual people should operate in their OWN LIVES. If following traditions make you happy then great! But do not shoot down others that doesn't think like you nor follow the same things as you do. This is for everyone it applies to.
sorry but there is no place it is clearly written that a man should be the one proposing. |
guy u dey worry oo. how can u expect a Nigerian woman to agree to this. |
handmaid: @@sexkills **pls don't 4get 2 order small stout |
MRbrownJAY: @OPhmm, well we will see what happens when she visits. |
slimyem: she didnt tell her bf her reason and you are sure she'd tell you?My wife and I knew her b4 she started dating her guy. Infact, we introduced the guy to her b4 they started dating and have been insupport of the relationship even when everyone else refused. Yes u are right, I would have expected her to have spoken to the guy but he says she hasn´t given him any serious reason. So maybe she´d talk to us. |
slimyem: i'm sure the girl has a STRONG reason for refusing to accept his proposal and i don't think it is in your place to convince her to accept!hmm, maybe my opinion won´t count but I would like to findout her reason first. Besides, have spoken 2 my wife already and she will soften her up for me to be able to get in2 the lady´s head. |
Hey Nler, I spoke to a friend of mine after church today and he seem to be having some problems with his girlfriend of 3 years. I know the girl and she is always all over my guy whenever I see them both 2gether so can´t understand what the problem is. He has been trying to convince her for the past few months now to accept his hand in marry but she has said no on all counts. The guy seem to be at end and doesn´t know what next to try hence his speaking to me since am also very friendly with the lady. Anyway, I invited the lady today to come over sometime in the week to dine with my wife and I. Does anyone have any advice 4 me before she comes? Any help would be appreciated? |
Muttex: Good Day my pple,I wonder why I guy would go to that extend for a woman. A guy once threatened to pour acid on me cos the girl he was after, was after me. I really had to speak some sense to him.. |
I knew a lady that was disvirgined like 4 times ![]() |
