Romance › Re: Am Loosing My Mind Right Now!!!!!! by drnoel: 9:06am On Jun 07, 2012
I feel ur pain, I really do. Women can really get men so mad. Its really no excuse to hit a woman more the less slap her. I know u must be feeling very bad and I won´t worsen ur feeling but people posting after me would defintely not let u off the hook. U luv her so do all in ur power to make her listen. Also make sure u guys get to talk so u can explain 2 her well,...... and with patience about what caused u 2 act that way. Look guy, with women u have 2 be patient, u just must be patient. I have neva lifted my hands 2 wifey but God know she has pushed me enough times to do so, but it won´t ever be justified 2 act or hit her. I also ask God 2 give me the strength 2 be patient with her, and I believe all men should do the same.

Pls putting a Gun to ur head would be monsterous if u don´t pull the trigger angry angry . Its men like u that make our Naija ladies think all men are like u.....sorry but I don´t know what u are. Funny is not even what we tell u here or how much we insult u. Funny is what they´d say behind u (about how they ate one fool like that) once u´ve gone. That is were it really kills.

juleze: Wow! Are you a relationship expert?
You just said it all.
Men open threads on gold diggers, and a decent lady opens a thread specifically countering what they said, and they throw tantrums like 2-year olds. The sad thing is that these men are going to be heads of a home (cringes at the thought). I pity women that end up with them.

The funny thing is a lot of them are pushing their legs to the limit, while others have a Benz 190 which isn't a bad thing in itself, but to insult a lady because she turned down what you don't have, is despicable.
Besides, this thread has garnered 9 pages already, despite the complaints about this thread being pushed up.
I am rather repulsed by how u chose to think. Did u really read her thread well? If u did, please don´t tell me u would write that kind of shit. As for me, it has nothing to do with insulting her cos she turned a guy down cos of what he had. It had everything to do with the type of mentality she used to write the thread. The thing is, this mentality is very obtainable in many Nigerian men and women but its shouldn´t be so. The mentality, the sound of the thread and how she ended and still tried to defend herself is what I detested and called immature not that she turned the guy down. I actually do applaud her for what she did but she has to work on that mentality.
Food › Re: Should Men Who Can't Cook Be Ashamed Or Proud? by drnoel: 11:23am On Jun 03, 2012
I believe all men that don´t know how to cook should be ashamed. I once lost a chick I was dating wink some years back in uni cos I could cook so well. She visited me during my exams then, expecting us to eat out but I asked her to go to the kitchen and dish food out for us both. SHe never believed I did the cooking and later told a mutual friend, I can´t date a guy that cooks talk less cooks very well huh huh huh . "If we have an arguement what leverage would I have over him if he can cook" was what she said grin grin grin.
Luckily my wife loves the fact that I can cook very well and finds it sexy when ever I return from work and join her in the kitchen.

Romance › Re: He Was Driving A Benz, But I Turned Him Down..... by drnoel: 8:47am On Jun 02, 2012
TisaBone: EXACTLY!!!! which is why i had to turn around and tell him no.

some people on here say that i am immature and that i need to grow up....and i don't agree with this, but i do know that i need to figure out what i need and what i want before going for the first guy who shows me some sort of interest....and to be honest....im probably not ready for a relationship....which is alot more than most would admit to, because so many people are in such a rush to get into something serious. so when a woman doesn't fit this stereotype that says she should be desperate, all of a sudden, something is wrong with her. smh.....

plus on top of that, he could have been a drug dealer, which the more i think about it, the more that i realize that that could be the case. i REALLY dont need that in my life.....but maybe he wasn't. i do agree with some of the posts stating that i judged him. yes, i did pre-judge him, which is what i regret about the situation. but at the end of the day, i have certain standards...but that doesn't mean that he still wasn't a nice person and that we at least could have been friends.

you can't win with some people in this world.....i have been called everything from a sl--t to a gold digger... to unchristian. lol. the LIAR is hard at work again i see. but i can't expect people of the world to understand me, because as a christian, i am out of this world.

we christians are on a whole another level than gentiles, therefore, i don't expect understanding from those who do not steep themselves in the word, trying their hardest to obey the doctrines of jesus christ, the only living and true savior.

but i know that i have, and will continue to make mistakes, therefore i welcome correction, if i know that it is for my own good.

"the beginning of knowledge is the fear of the lord. fools despise wisdom and instruction."
- Proverbs 1:7

HEY msdarkskin and cowgurl!!!!!!!!!! how ya'll been doing?
Oh! u seem to want to make some kind of point from ur silly post. Get to understand that people here also read the Bible. But from ur thread am sure u realise now its too idiotic of u to post something of that nature and expect matured minds here to allow u go free without ur being reprimanded.

"For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools"
- Romans 1: 21,22.

Besides Confucius says "He who speaks without modesty will find it difficult to make his words good"

Romance › Re: He Was Driving A Benz, But I Turned Him Down..... by drnoel: 8:00pm On Jun 01, 2012
TisaBone: and all of you men on nairaland say that women are gold diggers. I must admit, it was mighty tempting, but he told me his age and i flipped. at 23, a 34 year old man is way too old for me. but for some reason i feel like i did something wrong, or that i should have given him a chance. but at the same time, this gives me the strength to resist other men. I can always tell them "look, i turned down a guy who was pushing a mercedes, what makes you think that I would put up with your mess?"

on the other hand im scolding myself. What is wrong with me!!! I feel like im self sabotaging or something.
I am sure u are happy with urself but sorry 4 u, U sound so immature that it makes me want to weep.
I highlight those places that shows that u really a re a child.
it was mighty tempting sure cos he drove a benz why wont u be tempted.

but for some reason i feel like i did something wrong, or that i should have given him a chance. but at the same time, this gives me the strength to resist other men. I can always tell them "look, i turned down a guy who was pushing a mercedes, what makes you think that I would put up with your mess?"

It all actually boiled down to the fact that he drove benz. My god, how materialistic can u be. So what if he drives a benz. Lets say he drove a Navigator or Posche, would that make u change ur mind. Its women like u that get used and dropped so often and so much that they ask themselves if God was angry with them. Just even imagine the topic "He Was Driving A Benz, But I Turned Him Down....." and so fucking what does that have to do with us. Men this is what knocks me out about Nigeria ladies.

Scash: Has you friend tried asking his wife what the matter is? No woman would just decide to be cold to her husband all of a sudden. Something must have precipitated it... Maybe she heard somthin or saw something... Whichever, he should ask her whats wrong.
I still think that's better than quoting sorrowful lines over bottles of beers
talking ova bottles of beer may not be wise as u say but u would be surprised what u can learn talking ova those bottles of beer.

Romance › Its People That We Luv That Make Us Suffer The Most by drnoel(op): 5:38pm On May 30, 2012
"Its people that we luv that make us suffer the most" these were the words of a friend of mine who has not been on taking terms with his wife. My guy is completely confused as to what may have caused this cold treatment. He admits that he has been a little busy of late though but still does not know why his wife is so angry with him He has tried for the past few days to speak with her but she is not responding. He is really tired of the treatment and last night as we went drinking he just dropped the statement "Its people that we luv that make us suffer the most". Or does anyone think it could be women´s cyclic neurosis or what.
Guys anyone has advice 4 the guy and while u are at it, could u also drop a similar idiom or word of wisdom for us. Please u could also do so in any language but don´t forget to include the translation.
