However, the distinguished former member of the red chambers doubles as the Managing director of Darlez Nigeria limited and also, Director of COCHIN - Coalition of Orphanage Childrens' Home in Nigeria.

His theological foresight and divine understanding in the practise of theology has earned him this glorious and outstanding recognition through the conferment of a Honorary Doctorate Degree.

With his vast understanding of humanity as it were, the entire Nigeria Baptist Theological Seminary community are optimistic of his unending sacrifices and commitments, especially in the area of enhancing and improving the value of life in Nigeria and Africa.

Very possible. I know people who moved from UK to Australia and Canada and a friend of mine living in Berlin just recently received his Canadian residency card (if that's what it's called).

Moving from Europe to any where else depends greatly on Ur resident status and what u or Ur spouse does for a living.
If that question can't be answered then no reasonable advice will make sense.

We need to make things clear. Canada has Child Care Benefits (CCB). Every family is entitled to CCB in Canada and it is not a poor man thing. When you apply for CCB, you put in your tax income for previous years and it is used to calculate your CCB for the mother. You are not eligible if you do not have children and the Canadian government takes it upon themselves to take care of EVERY CHILD in Canada which is why you have the CCB.




Please tell me why you cannot invite your relatives to visit because you are receiving CCB

I think you have got the terms child benefits and child support mixed up. As long as your relatives are not migrating, there is no reason why they can't be invited. Sponsoring your relative to come here as a PR is another kettle of fish where you have to prove financial capacity of taking care of that person. I stand to be corrected.

Am speaking authoritatively and I was not talking of either the benefits or support, though the topic in question has nothing to do with child support.

So sorry you thought I'm here to rant and see help. I've had other issues with her that we've settled without anyone knowing. I'm not the type that easily seek people's opinion but if I ever have to then you know I've exploited all options. I'm sorry I'm saying this and it hurts my heart to agree with the warnings of marrying a single mother. I'm not the best writer but I will try to narrate my experience and findings.

First of all I would like to point out that there are very few single mothers who can make a good wife while majority of them will ruin you and make your life miserable if caution is not taken.

I've been dating a single mother of a 5 years old boy for about a year and half she is 30 and never been married. I wouldn't just jump into such relationship but for the fact she is someone I knew back in my School days however, we lost contact for about 10 years before we met again and I kind of understood the story she told me and the circumstances she had the child (Till date I didn't bother verifying her story of course I don't care).

We dated for about a year and she got talking with a few of my friends and sibling but the striking thing is she is yet to introduce me to any of her friends or siblings even though I knew she have many siblings and some friends (I did question her about this and she said she doesn't have someone she can really call a friend).

Looking at the kind of reserved life she lives I felt this could be normal but still something kept telling me there's more to these whole pretentious reserved life because I'm introverted and can easily figure out who's pretending to be one. Mind you, she is the church going type who prays and wants my well being yet I could still figure out there is something not clear thus my reason for taking my time to propose to her. This is actually not my fault as there is no way I can figure out who she is unless through someone close to her.

About 6 months ago a pastor that is yet to meet her in person told me that if I marry her I will end up divorcing but being the doubting Thomas type I gave no ear to whatever the pastor has to say until recently when something unfolded.

She lives 3 hrs drive away and comes visiting most of the weekend. Here is the major problem which I must admit I'm at fault but I thank God I was at fault because it paved way for the revelation. Throughout the time we've been dating I only visited her once which she complained about, I wasn't just too comfortable going there to spend time and do certain things (I didn't just find this right but I'm very much comfortable if she visits alone or with the kid). She complained a few times about me not visiting until 2 weeks ago she told me she was traveling to Abuja.
I inquired about her reasons of traveling and she said she needed to rest since she's on leave (Redflag). Her reasons didn't sound logical so I objected, I told her I wasn't comfortable with her traveling, she kept insisting and she jokingly said she will go and face the consequences when she returns. We talked about this for days and she eventually went against all odds and traveled.
On getting to Abuja she started acting funny like not taking calls or calling and when she finally returned my call I told her not to call me until she is back from her trip (I needed to avoid unnecessary worries)

She returned after 4 days and called knowing fully well we've got issues to thrash. She started complaining I don't give her attention as much as she wants (she seems not to be able to deal with my introverted person anymore). The ranting was becoming rude, sounding like a different person from whom I thought I knew. We got to a heated point I had to ask for any of her siblings number, she immediately became defensive and threatened that if I dare contact any of her siblings (7 of them) that I won't like the outcome . It occurred to me she isn't in good relationship with any of her siblings even though they talk sometimes. She just doesn't want me to contact anyone. Out of her rudeness I asked her if she is ready to be under a man since she has brought up marriage issues on few occasions. She said she isn't ready to tolerate bulllshitt of men afterall she has a child, marriage is about children and if things aren't working in a marriage everyone can find their way . The pastor's words occurred to me instantly. I took about 2 hours telling her how much she needs to adjust and understand she isn't supposed to tuzzle with a man else it will be hard for things to work in a home.

She said so many unimaginable things that it dawned to me she was pretending to be nice all these while. She said she wants a man that can take alll she does, I then asked her if she is ready to take all a man does she said no and I told her to look for a man and pay his groom price since she wants a man she can control.

Still scary to me she pretended all these while, going to church and acting very responsible hoping I marry her which I genuinely had intentions to but for the fact something kept telling me I needed more time to know her.

At the end its obvious she is used to being a single mother and if she divorces tomorrow it will be nothing new to her.

Guys make sure you scrutinize that single mother before you jump in. There's a reason she's single and in her 30's.
I found out she's not in good terms with her siblings because she doesn't like taking orders or listening to advice. They've talked to her about being rude and disrespectful but rather than listen she drew bad blood between her and all her siblings.

Pls let's correct a misnomer. No one receiving government benefits in any country is able to invite relatives to visit. That is not possible.
Also child support differs from country to country.
Some countries pay support for all children under 18 weather or not the children parent are employed. They just have to meet many of the requirements that the other poster posted.

Be careful what u wish for. Different people had different experiences. There were times I had it so difficult that I considered returning. Don't use just one incident to judge a lifetime. I have seen people that travelled back cos they were suffering too much just like have seen people that stayed and weathered the storm.

To my dismay, I woke up on Friday the 1st of June 2018 to find out that President Buhari, who is meant to be on a Ramadan fast, had released a statement, through the Presidency’s Twitter handle, alleging that the Jonathan government, which created the Sovereign Wealth Fund in 2012, had failed to save money in the fund after the initial $1 billion deposit it made into it.

Such a lie, coming at a time when the President is meant to be fasting is shocking!



The truth is that after starting up the Sovereign Wealth Fund with an initial deposit of $1 billion in 2011, the Nigerian Governors Forum, led by Rotimi Amaechi and supported by other Governors who later joined the APC, took the Jonathan administration to court to declare the Sovereign Wealth Fund illegal and assert their claim that the Jonathan led Federal Government could not force them to save.

In fact, Mr, Rotimi Amaechi released a statement justifying his opposition to the Sovereign Wealth Fund on August 31, 2011 and said:

“The SWF is an attempt to desecrate section 162 of Nigeria’s Constitution.

Section 162(1), (2) and (10) of the 1999 Constitution prescribed the mode of sharing the revenue of the Federation.

It states that “the Federation shall maintain a special account to be called the Federation Account into which shall be paid all revenues collected by the Government of the Federation, except the proceeds from the personal income tax of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Federation, the Nigeria Police Force, the Ministry or department of government charged with responsibility for Foreign Affairs and the residents of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The law says that anything that is outside the constitution is wrong and section 162 of the constitution also says so.”

Many attempts by the Jonathan administration to settle the matter out of court were rebuffed by Mr. Amaechi and his colleagues who had a hidden agenda to frustrate the plans by the Jonathan administration to save for a rainy day.

Working in tandem with Mr. Amaechi and his supporters in the Nigerian Governors Forum, the then minority APC members of the House of Representatives also filed another suit at a Federal High Court on the 7th of February, 2014, seeking a perpetual injunction restraining the Jonathan administration from operating the Excess Crude Account, from which they intended to source for money to fund the Sovereign Wealth Fund, and to pay all the proceeds of that account into the Federation Account for sharing amongst the three tiers of government.

As a result of these actions, the Jonathan administration paid the 36 states of the federation a total of N2.92 trillion from the Excess Crude Account between 2011 and 2014. Using the value of the Naira at that time that amount was just above $20 billion dollars.

It therefore amounts to historical revision for the Presidency to make these spurious allegations against the Jonathan administration,

President Muhammadu Buhari should be aware that just like I told him, after the many lies from his Democracy Day Speech, Ramadan fast does not just mean abstaining from food, it also means abstaining from lies.

We have been having issues lately and she called me on Sunday that i should visit her at home so we could straighten things out, i told her I'd not be able to make it because i had an appointment later in the day, she said ok and kissed me on the phone before hanging up, later on in the day my appointment got cancelled so i decided to surprise her,

I'm not one to fight a fellow guy for a lady so i just stood up, shook the guy and announced my departure, i left the room before she could say a word.

She followed me outside, asking why I'm being immature by embarrassing her in front of her classmate and esteemed guest, that she's tired of my clinginess, i asked her why didn't she introduce me as her boyfriend?
