NMA is not against pay rise for anybody but ask that relativity be sacrosanct according to international best practice.. A doctor with several academic battering and fellowship struggle cannot be on same salary scale with a nurse or pharmacist.. forget the age and all, the quality of service isn't same irrespective of how old one has been in service. We must learn to respect professionalism in this country.
Johesu was formed to hang up against the doctors in the health sector because they feel with their strength they can arm twist the government.. Some of it's demands ate briddled with ego, jealousy and desire to reap where one didn't sow. The door is wide open for any who wishes to study medicine. No following short cut, go back to school and be accorded same status.

At least its clear where the problem in the health sector is coming from now. The doctors don't want other staff to enjoy a little increament of salary even after government has increased their slararies more than Three times in in four years. This is just a case of wickedness and man's inhumanity to man. The doctors are not the employer of labour but they are telling government what to do. It's a case of eating alone and wanting other people to die of hunger even though there is excess food to serve everybody. Let the world see how wicked the doctors are in Nigeria.

Let me tell you the truth early this year the government of Canada increased doctors salary but the doctors refused the increament and told the government to use the money to pay other health workers and improve the facilities in the hospitals for patients to enjoy. But in Nigeria the case is opposite.

First, there is what is called midstream in oil business, and refining and other oil business processes constitute what you have in that segment of the business, and that is what dangote is into.
Second, Downstream majorly petroleum products marketing is the core business of Forte oil, while E&P and power generation are non-core business, just like E&P is Conoil producing (Adenugas' company) core oil business and Conoil Plc (Adenugas' petroleum products marketing company) is allied or non-core oil business.
Selling off Ghana unit is as a result of it not yielding profit which the article attributed to the Cedis devaluation and other business environmental factors in that country. You can't also rule out the fact that Ghana is a foreign environment to Forte to their performance in that country.
In conclusion, the strategy is to leverage their industry knowledge in Nigeria downstream sector, divest their stake in non-core business (upstream) and non yielding Ghana business, grow and expand their marketing business in Nigeria in anticipation for the dangote refinery. By so doing they will be the biggest by leveraging Otedolas' relationship with Aliko to have constant supply and be the biggest marketer of dangote petroleum products (mutual benefit/symbiotic relationship), because dangote would be the biggest producer while Otedola would be the biggest marketer.
I hope you can understand the logic in the Fortes' repositioning/strategy better now. So it's purely business strategy and nothing to do with being lacking in innovation. Fortes' share price that fell then was as a result of fall of crude oil price and it affected ALL, I REPEAT ALL OIL COMPANIES THE WORLD OVER, INCLUDING EXXONMOBIL, SHELL, CHEVRON, BP, CONOCO PHILLIPS, SOUDI ARAMCO, PETROCHINA, PETROBRAS to mention but just a few.

If Forte is doing a similar thing to curtail effect of global oil on its revenue base like Shell did last year, Mobil, etc, how is that lack of innovation?

U miss the point. These companies have oil refineries. Ontop of that they are still effected by global ups and down. Compare them then to Forte oil that just does buying and selling. I mean what are we talking about.

I coined the word Proselytized - Igbos. Many stopped being Igbo during the Civil war out of fear of genocide and are unable to resume their cultural identity again.

These groups are predominantly found in the South-South and are in each of the 6 SS states. They are usually oil rich and prefer to be called ethnic nationalities which fits the British/ Federal Government propaganda that Igboland has no oil.

Their resolve to remain minorities despite their actual majority status is strengthened by the fact that they shiver to imagine their group in the deprivation of their brothers in the SE, Who are marginalized and viciously maltreated in the scheme of things.

These groups get certain palliatives nay incentives for divorcing themselves from the major Igbo group.

However, like other oil producing ethnicities their lands are despoiled by oil exploration activities, the people are bereft of tangible developmental indices. Their lands are overwhelmed with despoilation from pipeline bursts. Their major source of living being fishing and farming is disturbed, yet the people cannot complain.

They cannot complain because of the crumbs given out to their elites. These vocal and selfish elites scramble for everything from their masters table so that their families can enjoy the soft life they are used to.

Their is a 13% deprivation for these states, 'magnanimously' put in the Constitution by General Sani Abacha but these amount is viciously cornered by Nigeria elites in both the Federal and State governments. In the 1963 constitution, derivation is 50%.

The Ministry of Niger Delta and the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC are other conduits used to defraud the peoples and governments of the region .

Why the people cannot come together and form a group like South South Igbo Agitation Group or Agitation for Development of Igbo Oil Producing Areas in the South South or Niger Delta Igbo Agitation for Development DIAD like the Ijaws have MEND remains a shock - yet many of the freedom fighters for the upliftment of the Niger Delta are Igbo.

In truth Igbo groups are the largest producers of oil in Nigeria but it is an anathema and even dangerous to voice these truth in Nigeria. Rivers state produces about 20% of the nation's oil and over 70% are Igbo groups, Delta state produces 25% of the nations oil and about 40% are Igbo. These trend is replicated though in smaller percentages in all the states of the South South.

Everybody in Nigeria know that the South South Igbos are the majority in the Niger Delta. However, when an Ikwerre man like Chibuike Amaechi says he is Igbo, he is termed fake Niger Delta but when he says that he is Ikwerre then he is Original Niger Delta.

Few people in Nigeria today agree that the Aniocha, Ikwerre, Abueto, Oshimili, Ika, Ogba, Ekpeye, Ukwuani, Aboh, Ndoni, Abi , Etchie etc are Igbo, fewer people will agree publicly that Governors Liyel Imoke, Nyesom Wike, Chibuike Amaechi, Peter Odili, Ifeanyichukwu Okowa etc are Igbo but in the secret they know and use it against them.

Gov Peter Odili of Rivers state was denied the Presidency and Vice - Presidency of Nigeria at the behest of Clarke and Nuhu Ribadu because he is Igbo though the position was zoned to the South - South were he comes from .

In as much as a system prevails in Nigeria that encourages people to deny their ethnicities, in as much as there is a system that provides uneven playing ground for all, in as much as lies are promoted above truths then the Nigeria of our dreams shall remain a mirage.

RESULT OF KOGI WEST
RECALL VERIFICATION EXERCISE OF SEN DINO MELAYE AS RELEASED BY INEC, TODAY SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 2018.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC have just released the results of the Saturday's recall verification validation exercise of distinguished Sen Dino Melaye, APC, Kogi West Senatorial District at the INEC office, Lokoja.

According to the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lokoja Kogi State, the result detailed as released;
Total numbers of registered voters in Kogi West 351, 140.

Total numbers of petitioners signatures is 189, 870.

Total numbers of signatures present for accreditation was 20, 868.

Total numbers of signatures verified and present for recall 18, 743.

According to result and details as released by INEC, constitutional requirements and percentage to effect the recall of Sen Dino Melaye, Kogi West by the petitioners is 50% plus 1

In the light of the of the above, haven't failed to meet the constitutional requirements of 50 % plus 1 in which the total percentage garnered by the petitioner in the validation exercise is just (5. 34 percent) out of 50 % 1 as required by law, INEC, thereby declare the petition as failed, invalid, ineffective and incompetent entirely to activate the recall of distinguished Sen Dino Melaye.

The petition is also not qualified for (Referendum) which could have been the next stage according to law haven't failed woefully to secure just 5.34% out of the constitutionally required 50% +1.

Kogi West Senatorial agent for Sen Dino Melaye, Mahmud Director from Lokoja who was visibly elated and happy was at INEC office confirmed the details of the results.
The results was announced in this presence of agents, media, civil society organization present, observers and security agencies.
