Hi. Do you still have this particular touch smart core i7 for sale? I'm interested. |
sultan003:I'm not going to continue this debate. I've made my points before the viewing public. Regards. |
sultan003:And you think Startimes, unlike HITV, lack content? Forget it. The only thing Startimes need to improve on, for now, is their PROGRAMS INFO on their remote control like DSTV has perfected theirs. Aside that, they are trying. Oun ani laa gbe laruge - for crying out loud! |
sultan003:HITV were VERY unfortunate. My brother worked there as a supervisor. It was a very sad happenstance. In any case, the failure, or collapse really, of hitv shouldn't be a a basis for any foregone conclusion against Startimes. You must also remember that Startimes is a public-private partnership that must have learnt from the HITV Titanic. Whatever it is, we are more likely to be successful as a country if we break the South African monopoly over our Tele-viewing than if we keep transferring our hard - earned naira to Johannesburg. It would clearly boost our economy and provide jobs for our people. In the face of anything, it is important for us all to remain positive and patriotic, asking not what we can make out of the country; but how we can also better our motherland. Dr. Tee. |
AIT on Startimes is showing it. The gist you DSTV - owner guys should know is that NTA/Startimes bought the sole rights to air these World Cup matches in Nigeria, just as super sports/ multi choice bought the Copa America, 80% of the EPL and Tuesday Champions League matches, among others. It is a "rights" matter. We should look to encourage Nigerian institutions. Imagine what it would have been like if Startimes didn't bid for these world cups... Let's hope we can someday watch all the European league matches we wish as well as the Nigerian league matches on NTA/STARTIMES someday soon. Meanwhile, it is 0-1 at halftime in this must-not-lose game... Our problems as a footballling country is that we have talent in abundance, that's why we win cadet competitions fairly easily but we LACK technique as well as building/maintenance ability of both men and resources! |
docconceptscom:13.1, probably... |
I need a mini laptop with optical drive slot as one of its options. Can you get a brand new one for me at a very good price? Cheers. |
Yes they are. They've got exclusive rights in Nigeria to show both world cups. I hope this helps. |
SlyCharlie:The comparison shouldn't be with DSTV - although this satellite-terrestrial matter usually doesn't arise with DSTV/GOTV. You, as Startimes, should be fair to your subscribers. |
SlyCharlie:And have two decoders Is that the best Startimes can do? |
SlyCharlie:I went to the Startimes office in Ado today to swap my terrestrial decoder for a star times satellite decoder so that I'll be free from all these signal strength problems, as advised by the customer care operator who I spoke to on phone and who gave me the Ado office address but very strangely, the officers at the Startimes office in ado told me this evening that the 4500+ decoder for star sat dish ended just on Friday last week - 24 working hours before I came... Meanwhile, I bought the terrestrial decoder that same Friday! Yet, I'm told that I can't sell my terrestrial decoder because it is already registered in my name. It is so unfair and unfortunate. I'll appreciate a quick resolution. Isn't this very bad already? Please help... |
SlyCharlie:Thank you. I'll update you subsequently! |
SlyCharlie:Thank you so much. I'll do something tomorrow. I've been told the Ado Office address of Startimes. I called the Startimes phone number. They told me to bring my decoder and 4500 to get the dish. My question now is: What are the specific advantages of the dish over the terrestrial? I know one would miss the local Ekiti content on the terrestrial. That's two stations - EKTV and NTA Ado Ekiti. Are those the only two stations I'll miss? What would I gain? I'm told the reception would be even clearer and that there are more stations on the star sat. True? I'll be in Ado for the swap tomorrow, as they don't open the office on Sundays. I only want to get as much information as possible. I'll appreciate your kind replies. |
mrdrizzy:Are you serious? Do you know where their office in Ekiti State is? Or can you give me a number to call? |
aimuafigo:Super assist at that! He was a little lucky why it though, as the misunderstanding amongst the Hungarians who both went for the header augmented Enaholo's effort. He is a great lad and I commend him greatly for rising up from the Brazil-game howlers, a game where he really made several great saves which were however undone by those errors. Garba deserves praise for not dumping him for the fans-favourite Alampasu. I personally believe Alampasu is a jittery and unreliable goalie. I think he was a little lucky in UAE, just like Joseph Dosu at Atlanta... |
Emperortj93:Except you edited that comment after the game, you must have a sense of clairvoyance. If you do, please use it for good. The question now world be "Do you see the flying eagles winning Germany? Do you see them lifting the WYC as they did the U17?" |
DrTee1:Gtv is showing it now. Thanks Lordave. |
Please is there any station showing the FLYING EAGLES game? Ortb and GTV aren't showing it here. |
Please what station is showing this game on MyTV or DaarSat/Free to Air? |
But why? Startimes has o signal. GTV on Strong decoder isn't either. Dstv isn't. So how do I watch this match now? Oh my God! |
humberjade:Thank you so much Sir. I'm grateful, very grateful. Would do. |
Please help a needy soul of you have any way out. N.B: I've called that glo number on the Startimes advert. It wasn't picked. The bad part is that people in Ado, the state capital, don't even need the outside antenna before enjoying Startimes. So I ask, is Startimes designed only for people in Urban areas and State Capitals ![]() |
Everybody, please intervene and help with advices! Startimes' exclusive ownership of the world cup forced me to buy a startimes decoder in addition to my DSTV. I got the outside antenna and a three meter pole. Yet, I keep getting the ' No Signal' message - although it showed briefly earlier today when I installed it. Now I'm on the danger of not being able to watch the Hungary match tomorrow morning despite my investment in purchase, installation and unique bouquet. I feel so bad about this. My installer advises me to get the star sat. But he says I can't sell the terrestrial decoder and antenna that I've bought and installed - which however doesn't work - to anyone else as it is already configured in my name and isn't transferable. The current signal strength here flickers between 37% ( when it shows o!) and 0% (No signal), the latter has been what I've experienced almost since I installed it yesterday - except for a three hour period it showed briefly. But I feel the same ' No Signal' problem might still persist even if I decide to take such financial plunge for the satellite Startimes. I currently don't have the money to expend on another Startimes anyway, after this pole, antenna, decoder, bouquet and installation bill in the last three days! My location is Ora-Ido expressway, 25 kilometers from Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State and 7 kilometers from the Federal Medical Centre, Ido Ekiti. I would sincerely appreciate if this can be resolved quickly so that I can enjoy what I bought. Currently, it is so useless |

donfiazo:It is terrible! I hope the NFF get to read this. I hope people like Bolaji Abdullahi, Cramjones, dayo23 and other connected APC bigwigs who frequent Nairaland get to read this. Wolves are the last Nigerian team on the continent. They are playing a game they must win by a minimum of three goals yet it wouldn't be on Television ![]() It is unconscionable! |
Someone should kindly send a message to Manu Garba to let his boys know that we are depriving ourselves of sleep on the very first day of the sixth month to watch and support them. They should please remember that we had a lot of faith in them before now. Aren't they the same people who played the first half? Or do they want Osogbo curses ni ![]() |
Now these Brazilians have pegged us back - right after Awoniyi lost that sitter! Urgh! But please, who was the guy who made that wonder pass that led to Isaac Success' goal? It was fantastic! |
bootstrap:Please respond to bootstrap. Two: Has the vehicle been used in Naija, if yes, the more reason why a picture of the engine is needed. Finally, what is the car's mileage? Thanks in anticipation. |
I can't believe the police lied to the whole world... |
I saw the race. She made us all so proud! Dusting Fraser-Pryce to fifth place was sweet for me. She simply led all the way from the start in lane 3. Nigeria is simply blessed - we have extremes of everything good, only that some bad eggs are also present among us in the extreme too. If only we can harness all our good potential, we would be blazing the trail everywhere on the world. I'm convinced that that time is near. I'm certain that the glory of Nigeria has begun to shine again - starting on May 29 - with Muhammadu Buhari! Other good news yesterday was that Sunshine Stars my home team drew at Lafia to remain at the summit of the NPFL courtesy of Giwa FC's draw. FCB also won the La Liga title in a direct revenge for the way they lost it last year - right on Athletico Madrid's turf! |
onatisi:Eyin wonyi badt gaan. Awon T'Eko leleyi. Hustlers of life! No wonder you wouldn't spare Chuks86 any blushes. I've been in Chuk's shoes before. I also understand what Onatisi is saying on the other hand. I think onatisi can help chuks by sending him a pm on who to see in his environment or take him to the same motorpark he did his thing back then. Different mentalities but we can all help ourselves! |
