The Ilesha-Akure part was said to have been f funded directly by the World Bank during GEJ's headship. It is single carriage but it is one of the best express roads to drive in South West Nigeria.

One small part though, trust that the Nigerian National Team has that software - yes they do.

Hey! Folks blaming the Judge do not understand what happens in Courts.

The Court is a place for legal matters - not emotions - and everything is done in the open, and can get into the media.

A Judge can refuse to dissolve a marriage even if the couples, both members of the marriage, agree to a divorce.

You've got to prove irreconcilable differences in court.

So for celebrities who are married by the Marriage Act, and whose breakup and divorce matters would get to the Courts (and social media!), where information revealed there is like being in the open market square and washing dirty linen, it is not like social media trials at all.

The couple who want separation have to really to convince a Judge that the differences are indeed irreconcilable, it can be very difficult to be honest and plain and not want to tarnish the image of the other party but leaving the real sleaze out - and still get a divorce when there is no hatred between the couple who simply want a legal separation.

The Judge would tell the couple and their lawyers that S/He was not there when they were loving each other and having fun to the extent of marriage and children - and s/he isn't convinced that the separation is irreconcilable. Oya, alele, go back home to continue your love and don't put your divorce on my head/name.

It is like Pilate washing his hands off the crucifixion of Jesus. It is difficult for people who don't work around the courts or visit it regularly to understand these things. To put it clearly, if two people in marriage do not exemplify extremely negative emotions towards each other, it is almost impossible to get a divorce before a Judge. For every friendliness the court sees, it would be willing to explore it and restore the marriage.

Judges are more interested in reconciliation of marriages than divorce. Marriage isn't for kids or people who cannot deal with extreme issues and keep the evidence if you ever want to get a divorce. Now, that is very difficult, because only a very wicked person can stay in a marriage and be keeping evidence of abuse against his/her wife/husband - so you see, except where there are clearly established cases of infidelity or threat to life or something - it is very difficult to honestly prove a case for divorce in court.

So yes, the next time you read something about proceeding from divorce cases, please know that in most cases, the issues are exaggerated so as to make the Judge get convinced.

If a medical evaluation is to be done on every civil servant in Nigeria, and professionally too - as good as it is done in the best climes globally - first, we would have very inadequate qualified experts to conducts the necessary tests. There are less than 400 Certified Medical Psychiatrists in the whole of Nigeria - for 167 - 210 million souls. Let's say 100 million of those are above the age of 18, and less than 65 - it means 1Psychiatrist to 250,000 possible workers in the civil service, organised private sector and informal sector all combined.

Looking at that, you understand the 'make haste slowly'.

I put this to you, 1 out of 2 Nigerians on the streets that you see daily has a mental health challenge. You may want to check the WHO definition of Health to understand. I would reproduce it below:

"a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

After that, assuming that we would import the medical staff - at what cost to the country for this 'experiment'? - we would end up having less than 10%, maybe 5% or 0.01% of that WHO definition, which almost everyone living in Lagos State would fail, for example as the stress levels there is unbelievable, how do we proceed?

I hope the 'make haste slowly' subject is beginning to settle in. I agree with you, by the way, about upholding super high standards in the workforce, but claps are done with 2 hands, not one. To get the best, you must offer the best - and must have the capacity to offer what obtains in the best societies where employees and employers demand and give the very best in a highly organised system.

Where that is compromised, there is a little problem - and 'haste' must now be made quite slowly.

Reading of a previous divorce involving the bride made this an important find.

From the wedding invite, it appears the new bridegroom add well as the bridegroom (who is previously divorced) are both products of broken homes.

Its a sad situation today with more and more broken marriages. Men are always going to be men: alpha and dominant.

Our women must be careful about their choices of marriage too. If you deceive a man by pretending about your character and outlook of life before marriage, you are definitely laying foundations for a chaotic marriage.

There is also little gain in 'If he doesn't put a ring on it, he can't ask for character or input'. That's putting the cart before the horse.

A good woman who is self-reliant would have no problems exhibiting it at any time, before or after marriage. The world is worsening by the day with failed marriage as well as 'baby daddy' and 'baby mummy' ideas.

I am not blaming those who are unfortunate to have endured or are going through divorces or bad marriages. These people must consider a personal evaluation of character.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has once again cried out that it is being blackmailed about an alleged legal charges filed against its leadership by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The charges are allegedly targeted at Amaju Melvin Pinnick, the NFF President; Seyi Akinwunmi, the 1st Vice President; Shehu Dikko, the 2nd Vice president; Ahmed Yusuff aka ‘Fresh’ and Mohammed Sanusi, the General Secretary of the NFF.



The NFF is currently preparing Nigerian teams to different international competitions across the world for the next two months while its attentions are being distracted.

The Flying Eagles, currently abroad, are to take part FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland later this month. The Super Falcons are to begin their quest for title in Women’s World Cup in France early June while Nigeria’s lead football brand, Super Eagles return to challenge for continental title for the first time in five years.

At the same time, the U23 teams are being prepared to face Sudan next month in the quest to qualify for the 2020 Olympics Games.

According to a statement issued by the football federation, “NFF denies that FG has filed any such charges.

“NFF states that the orchestrated media blitz about the existence of such charges is nothing but the desperate and malicious efforts of the Chief Okoi Obono-Obla led Special Presidential Investigative Panel (SPIP) to lend itself as an instrument of cheap blackmail in the fight for the political leadership of NFF.



The NFF stated that currently pending before the Federal High Court, Abuja is Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/17/2019 filed by NFF against SPIP and three others, including Chief Obono-Obla himself.

NFF, in the suit, is challenging the competence of SPIP under the law to purport to investigate or prosecute NFF or its leadership.

According to the statement signed by Dr. Suleman Yahaya Kwade, the Chairman, NFF Media and Publicity Committee, “when the matter came up for hearing on April 20, 2019, Barrister Celsus Ukpong, the lawyer representing SPIP wrote a letter applying for an adjournment of the matter, as he could not appear in court for official reasons. The suit was accordingly adjourned to May 13, 2019 for definite hearing.

“It is an issue that must befuddle the mind and be of great concern to all Nigerians that the same SPIP should, against the foregoing background then proceed to allegedly file charges in the name of the FGN before the same Federal High Court while the pending suit filed by NFF against it is yet to be determined.

“It should now be clear to all that the SPIP under Chief Obono-Obla is acting in contempt of the laws and Courts of Nigeria.

“Even more deplorable is the fact that its legal representatives will employ deception in dealing with the Court of Law regarding a suit to which it is a party and fully represented in court.

“The determination of SPIP and Chief Okono-Obla to act unlawfully and in undisguised bias against NFF and its leadership is well documented and forms the basis of NFF’s petition to the Hon. Attorney-General and Minister of Justice since January 2019, as well joining the office of the Hon. Attorney-General in all the suits we have filed against SPIP.



“We are confident that this regrettable matter will be appropriately dealt with in the due course.

“We wish to state categorically that the charges filed by SPIP are frivolous and totally baseless.

“They are aimed only at scandalising the NFF and its leadership and nothing more, in order to mislead the unwary and uninformed.

“This is evident from the great facility with which the news of the charges which were registered at the court’s registry today, May 7, 2019, have been widely disseminated by SPIP and its collaborators.

“For instance, SPIP alleges that the leadership of NFF moved N4Billion (Four Billion Naira) from NFF on 3 November 2018.

“The maliciousness and falsity of this charge is established by the fact that the alleged sum is about four times the 2018 NFF Appropriation in the FGN budget as approved by the National Assembly, which in total was N1.14 Billion (One Billion, One Hundred and Fourteen Million Naira), out of which only about N700m (Seven Hundred Million Naira) was cash-backed for the entire 2018 financial year.

“It is also on record that since June 2018 till date NFF has only received N110m (One Hundred and Ten Million Naira only) from FGN (which was received only in February, 2019).

“This is in spite of the fact that NFF has prosecuted about 30 international matches involving the various national teams, (Super Eagles, Falcons, U23 Men Team, U20 Boys, U17 Eaglets, U20 Girls (Falconets), Supersand Eagles etc), requiring the NFF to raise funds independently to supplement the funds from the FGN.

“Another example of the desperation and wickedness motivating these false allegations is the SPIP allegation that, in 2014 “during the FIFA World Cup at Abuja”, FIFA appearance fees paid by FIFA was converted to personal use.



“This is despite the fact that there was no FIFA World Cup in Abuja in 2014, a naked fact known to the whole world.

“This should say a lot about these false allegations and the manner of persons actively working in cahoots with Chief Obon-Obla led SPIP to discredit the NFF and its leadership evidently to achieve what they failed to do through the ballot box – which is to effect a change of leadership in in the NFF.

“However, it is much to be regretted that these elements have also sought to embarrass our sponsors, partners and consultants in their unholy and desperate gambit to achieve their condemnable efforts to bring NFF and its leadership into public disrepute having failed in all their machinations to take over its leadership.

On this, I completely DISAGREE with Bubu (Buhari)

This is analogue mentality. Rather than look for first republic cattle nonsense routes, for cattle to harass people on their own lands, why not provide mordern alternatives to cattle rearing than normadic activity?

He himself has at least 150 cattle. Do they move around plundering other people's farmlands? All land belongs to State Governors. How can the President accuse a governor of 'desire to be rich' for people establishing farms in their communities?

If it was road, school or hospitals, would the President blame the government for establishing same along 'first republic' cattle routes 'with veterinary?

How many veterinary doctors per capita of cattle did we have IN THE WHOLE OF NIGERIA in the first republic? Even today, how many? How does Bubu say these things? I empathise with Prof Yemi. He evidently takes a lot of things he ordinarily night not have taken. That's apparently the height of loyalty.

This is low, very low, and suggests indeed that when the President speaks spontaneously about things that are his original or indigenous ideas, he sometimes comes about as shockingly low.

When the greatest countries in the world today do cattle ranching and the cattle don't move around at all? On this, I am with Governor Ortom and the PDP voting majority of Benue State. Now, I understand why that kept APC out of the government house there. How can the President of the country say this? Did he personally visit Benue to spread with the people in that period, like he is doing currently in UAE? A President should be proactive and be mordern. He should resonate with the reality of the immediate period and feel the pulse of the people.

If voting was done online in Nigeria, like Estonia which is almost entirely digitalised, people like Bubu wouldn't win a second term. Not at all.

I think Bubu was possibly the best Presidential candidate option from the last election, but this isn't good.
