Barbiturate:Sorry about that bro .. You might need to use heavier oil to slow the oil burn..... And I love their v6 SE fully loaded .. The v6 are fast and nice |
Gentlelife50:Lol.. But v6 and v4 is the correct name now ![]() |
eyinola:Here we go again.. Camry v4 meaning 4cyclinder from 2007 to 2010 are factory defects bad piston had a recall. This is factory defect and Toyota knew about it and they try to sweep it under the rug. That been said, Toyota told their customers to take the cars to the dealership for testing for oil shorten. Those that were knew to have issues Toyota fix them free of charge etc. Some owners were using heavier oil to fix the issue.. But don't quote me on this , I recall that Toyota advice to use heavier oil .. But it does not fix the piston issue. It was more like putting a bandaid above the wound... I sell cars myself . A friend once sold me a Toyota Camry 07 . He sold for me at about $1500 , this was when naira about 380 to the dollar . I bought the car thinking I got a deal. When it was time to put the car for sale. I notice that oil almost dried up , oil level was very low . my mechanic said something like this Camry are know to short oil . I than did my research and find out that it short oil.. It now dawn on me why my friend sold the car to me. He was in haste to sell the car fast fast. I was very highly upset , lesson learn..... A good friend of mine does uber in the states. He bought a 2010 camry for uber. He was complaining about the car and how keeps taking it to the mechanic and list of other problem. And he stated that he has to keep checking oil level for daily anointing. He said keeps extra gallon of oil for top ups. He said the car is good on fuel , but oil shorten is too much and tedious to be checking all the time.........He said it is factory defect........ When I do talk , I talk from experience . I will never buy those Camry v4 07 to 10. But the v6 is a goal , I love the v6 .......The are fast and strong and good on fuel ...... Ps .. I also notice that v4 rav4 short oil. I was told to stay away from them . I bought a v6 for a client back than. When I couldn't find a v4. I dodge the bullet lol again I talk from experience and research.... |
Felicity001:Labour market is not saturated .... This is Xmas season and as a matter of fact , demand for cars has increase. Drivers are holding on to their cars. Business is slow and people are looking for jobs.. Transportation business can't never saturated .. Cars break down easily. 50% of cars are sleeping at the shop with the mechanics. Car owners are getting out of the business
|
Idaytesj29:For peace of mind, kindly stay away from those Camry v4. 2007 to 2010 v4 are factory defects are notoriously known to short oil.. Especially if you are going to be using it for uber. It will require daily anointing of oil to top it every morning. Failure to do that will kill the engine....... Now failure to follow advice, And decide to use it and people tell just use thicker oil 20w50 for the oil burn. You will end up spending more money for topping the oil . 20w50 engine oil is around 9k naira. And an uber driver covers at least 2k miles a month and 20w50 will need more frequent oil change, and failure to change oil will lead to sludge engine. Either way avoid it .. The driver that are using it now on uber are on a time bomb. It is a matter of time before the car breaks down |
erico2k2:Whether you put am in ur engine or not. Is not the issue here..... You saying engine oil can last up to 3 years without changing is the DUMBEST THING AND UNEDUCATED thing have heard...... Person wey no fear your statement , na that person I fear the most........ |
erico2k2:Engine oil has a life span of about 3 to 5 years . This is called shelf life. Meaning without you opening the gallon . This is just sitting on shelf before getting to public use. Each gallon of oil has a manufacture date and a batch date.......If the oil sits for too long all the chemicals or additives starts to break up in pieces and it will weaken the oil formulation to protect ur engine.. Now that been said, it is even worse for u to have ur engine oil sit in the car for 3years without changing. All the oxidation and air gets into the oil and the formulation of additives starts to break down and rendering it useless for the purpose of protecting the car........ All products have a shelf life, even the body lotion, beauty products you use of shelf life. Also it is not good for a car to sit too long without you driving . The car will get rusty and the parts will break down. This is my last reply on this Topic........... |
erico2k2:I think you are reading things upside down.. You stated early on that engine oil can last up to 3 years without changing it.... Which is wrong Now you talking about oil weight...... Do u think I just pour any oil inside my cars without checking the owners manual lol ....... Coolant is also another topic.. Nigerians like to use water instead of coolant... This is why u see alot of over heating cars, damage radiators etc.... The use of coolant is another topic on its own ....
|
erico2k2:Me for example, I have few cars on uber. I use full synthetic Super tech for 20k miles .. Now due to the stop and go traffic and engine idling time. And the fact that an uber driver covers at least 2k miles a month. I change oil every 10k miles..... So I do have enough experience to contribute to the topic....... Now on my personal cars regardless if I cover 5k or 7k or less miles . I try to change my oil every 3months, it is not good for Oil to be sitting in ur engine for too long.... Engine oil is cheap. But engine replacement is never cheap......... Now on ur previous post . you stated that engine oil can last 3 years without changing it ... That I disagree, maybe u meant to say 3months ... |
searchng4love:He needs to articulate himself well well... |
erico2k2:Don't mind them |
SavageResponse:And this is why engine replacement and engine sales are big business in Nigeria engine sellers are smiling all the way to the bank ![]() |
erico2k2:I think u meant to say that your engine will last more than 3 years...... |
melviniyke2002:Thanks boss for ur kind words...... |
jgbemson1:Wow u guys are killing me with orders ..... Either send me ur whatapps via my email at dru23@hotmail.com or drop it here...... Plz make sure u contact me by monday , so that I can place the order online in time for me to put the goods into a container... It is getting very close |
alphabbey1:Order has been placed.. We thank u for ur business and we update as time goes on
|
alphabbey1:No shaking bro .. You in good hands.. I will order the compressor and u can pay when it arrives......... |
Fogman:Say Amen
|
Fogman:Nice bro .. But I hope that they vacuum and flush out the A/c system before replacing it with the Yankee 1 u ordered .... Failure to do that will clogged up and damage the new compressor or better will only work for few months or .. Also I hope u use the recommended freon R 134a . Failure to do this will pack up ur system ...... |

GAZZUZZ:When it comes to used naija cars , am not a big fan of it .. Have made it clear several times on Nairaland. The ones I retire from my uber fleet are sold by my mechanic. Once my mechanic advices me to get rid of it I do it. He looks for buyers himself and sells it off. And my currant ones on uber are still serving me well. You are mechanic and u have created a niche for urself for both Tokunbo cars and used cars sales. You are at an advantage than me .. But me personally I just don't have the passion or the motivation for it .. Car business itself is stressful talk less of selling naija used ...... There is market for everything and of coz naija used cars. Even naija used cars sells faster than Tokunbo...... I respectfully say that I am not shifting goal post , but stating the obvious. There is a market for it , I just don't have the passion for it.. My early years on uber thought me alot on how the maintenance culture is in the Nigerian Auto world. Have been dramatize by it.......... |
theoilguy:I reply ur email |
GAZZUZZ:Never was a fan of anything naija used. I have preached that several times. Those that are able to care for their tokunbo cars at the early stage are my main target audience ... It is a niche market for me .... That been said, on the above advert on Rio that was sold that needed engine replacement. We should keep in mind. Once their is a replacement engine the car's body still remain old , even though replacement engine is only "60k Miles" .... Wear and tear on other parts will still be an issue down the road. By the time the new owner fixes this and that. The money use would have been enough to buy a tokunbo....... Either way congratulations on the sales |
We finally did it again. I feel that my hard work is paying off....... We had customer from Nairaland contacted me for ac compressor for his 2010 rx350. The compressor went bad, instead of him to go the naija route and covert it to manual compressor. He gave me a call to help him look for 1.........During my search we found out not all rx350 use the same compressor .. 2010 Rx350 compressor are compatible with the ones from 2011 and 2012. So we can't just mismatched parts anyhow. This is why I tell people follow owners manual. Don't covert something that is not meant to be converted. The 2010 and up Rx350 compressor comes with a sensor .. So if u are now converting to manual will you now by pass the sensor? Replacing your A/c compressor. When replacing your compressor. Please and please take it to a professional. I can't stress this enough...... The whole ac system will need a total flush.. This is to prevent dirt to clogged up the new compressor. And also compressor oil will be needed......... Once the above procedures are done . it is time to add freon. Most of the freon in the market are the main cause of damage to compressor. Follow owners on type of freon to use . most time it is R 134a . using the correct freon will last a long time and you will enjoy your ac system during the very very hot weather. And best of all it might take another 1 year or more before u top ur freon ... As long as owner manual are been followed............. Failure to follow above recommendations . Will result to a damage new compressor....... " A word is always enough for the wise "

Kelvin30286063:My goal is to help mine customers save money . We like to recommend Super Tech Advance 20k miles oil change for 22500k . With the 4k naira transport cost to Benin. You would have save 7500k. Naira ... Kindly give a try on your next oil change. Plus it is 5quarts and u will have enough for top off...... That been said, since you check and your oil is gauge . it might be a sensor issue that might need replacement. If you don't feel comfortable don't drive till u have someone take a look at it . personally I will not worry about it since the oil is gauge ....also always be present when mechanics are doing oil change.
|
obinoral1179:Looks nice ......if u using it for uber , make sure to follow owners manual. Use 5w20 full synthetic and for transmission fluid use dw1 ....... |
Akinwunmy:200k miles is alot ... You can still use it and get the best out of it as much as possible. You can always get a tokunbo engine.. But funny enough with Tokunbo engine self, it is hard to know the true mileage .... Either way still get it and use the recommended oil 5w20 . U should be fine ........ |
FuckEveryday:Na somebody dream car u want make them use enter balogun market like these....u wan turn am to mini Danfo be dat
