obinoral1179:I love the civic.. Very rugged and it was design to be low maintenance .. The engine can take abuses of all types. I don't abuse mine. Never had leg issues and best of all my drivers never complain....... But transmission issues , no be for here o. Since I have own them I think I only replace them 3 times. But the funny thing is those transmissions issues could have as simple as just replacing the solenoid ........ As a car owner both private and commercial owners we need to be aware of simple car issues and not solely depend on what mechanics tells us . And most importantly to use the recommended transmission fluid. Failure to do that will end in tears... Honda accord.. I don't know much about them and i have never used them |
Akinwunmy:Very on point ... I have few cars on uber too . I mainly use Honda civics 2003 to 2005 .. It is a lucrative business. But maintenance is the key like u said. It is a daily income business. The business can never be saturated. And with Nigerians maintenance culture , cars are always at the mechanic more than its on the road Some owners have become good friends with their mechanics .. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIrGzYAHy24 The video will show you how to flush out your system. You can just add the radiator flush and run the car for 10 minutes to clean out the dirt.. Please follow instructions ... It is not difficult at all ...
|
A client of mine just ordered for a radiator for is 2010 camry...... The radiator needed replacement because of the use water instead of coolant. And it was leaking, I have preached the importance of coolant instead of water. The major function of coolant is protect your engine from extreme heat while the engine runs. The use of water boils at an higher temperature than coolant. This will cause over heating, rust, dust and dirt to build up overtime. So instead of my client doing things the Nigerian way and buying " double cell radiator" . I decided to look for a used radiator insteadNow on an actual sense , a brand new radiator should have been bought. Since we are working on a budget , I decided to recommend a radiator flush and cleaner . This will flush out the dirt and any dust from the radiator .. Using spray and water alone will not do the work properly. After the radiator flush, than coolant will be used instead instead of water. Once this is done the right way. The coolant can last years and your engine is protected from overheating and replacement....... If you love your car , take care of it read owners manual .... Please do no go out and buy double cell radiator to fix issues use coolant instead of water...We like to thank those that placed their orders for the next shipment.... We are no longer taking any more orders for container.... We thank you all for your business....

606thearena:This was with my personal car in the states.. It was a Nissan Altima ser 2005.. This happened about 10 years ago. I can't recall the total cost of repair, but I was happy I didn't have to replace the steering pump |
606thearena:I had similar issue with my power steering pump. It kept shorting oil . The steering will get stiff and hard and would hear a whining noise. I use to carry a small bottle of fluid with me at the time. Every time the steering gets stiff I will than top the fluid.. It was tedious after a while.... So I had a mechanic checked it out. Thank God it was a steering hose that was leaking. So steering hose was replaced and problem solved... Have your mechanic check or trace the leaks.. Have them check the hose. Have them do all these things before concluding that steering pump needs replacement. For your transmission please don't mess with it . If your transmission fluid is still pinkish in color leave it. If it is dark change it with the recommended fluid. Transmission are very delicate , you dont want to mess with it unless it needs changing |
Dozieson:Most of you guys only read not to fully understand. You read a little line and just ran off...... I stated that in my early years of doing uber.. With no experience with car maintenance . i was using camry 2003 for uber early 2014. The oil of choice at the time was 20w50. The car started shorten oil . Each time we change oil , the oil will totally dry up after few miles with no trace of leak anywhere on the floor........ So we had a mechanic take a look at it .. He stated the car will not last anymore. And that we should buy oil again top it and stop driving it and sell it. He stated that the more we drive it the more smoke will likely come out .... He brought a buyer and we sold the car . And I clearly stated that I will never buy and use 20w50 oil again. That is how I actually got into the oil business. And I started importing engine oil to use for my uber cars. From there I started educating people about engine oil and I started selling it...........please read to understand it ...... Those that had engine burn from their camry 2002 to 2006 more than likely abused those cars with no experience like me at the time |
Dozieson:Big daddy 2002 to 2006 do NOT BURN OYEL ..... 2007 to 2010 are factory defects... A good friend of mine drives a 2010 camry in the USA .. He is always topping oil.. He carries two liters of 5w30 all the time in the booth of the car .... The weekly anointing of oyel is really getting to him ......Since he does uber he has to keep a mental note to always anoint the engine that can be tedious at times |

twaintoy:Me personally I wouldn't do or advice such practices.. But if am on the highway and notice that my engine is shorten oil.. And I have to mix or use same brands or weight of oil . Than I have no choice to use it till I can revert back to recommended choice |
Habiodunz:Never mix oil with any brand or weight.. Obviously if it is an emergency especially if u on the road . than ok , but once u get a chance replace with same brand .. You can always switch brands , but not mix |
calculation:As a business man with years of experience... You need the skill to be able to negotiate.. It is all about negotiating ......... Hopefully I can make a deal with him .. I requested for a vin# and mileage .. Hopefully he will response |

masterblogger:A 2006 car with only 65k miles.. The car is 15 yrs old and it means the previous owner drove it less than 5k miles a year hmmmmmm. Before changing transmission fluid make sure it really needs changing.. If the color is pinkish in color don't change it .. If it is black color definitely change it .. Changing transmission fluid when not needed can damage the transmission... For your engine oil 5w30 is recommended .. For ATF not until you are 100% it needs replacement before I start looking for 1 |
