In 2019, I attended a wedding of a friend. I forgot to silence my phone. During the wedding mass, my phone rang and before I could silence the phone, there was a man standing by demanding for my phone while trying to hand over paper containing a fine I'm to pay for the distraction my phone

caused.


Long story short, I refused doing any of his demands simply because there was no prior reminders nor a notice that phone rings during the mass was not allowed especially to us- the non worshippers of the church.

Based on this, if there was no mode of dress stipulations from the church, the pastor should tender apologies to the ladies, the celebrants, the congregation and the general public
