Webmasters / Eyowo Issues by DualCore1: 9:51am On Jul 18, 2013
Despite the fact that I dislike unnecessary change and like the simplicity the Eyowo interface presents, I finally made a switch from Eyowo for the following reasons:

1. A customer's payment bounced, he was debited by Interswitch but the funds never got to our Eyowo Wallet. A mail was sent to support@eyowo.com on Thursday 11th July (a week ago) and several mails followed since it was not replied. Their phoneline was switched off then. They did not respond to the several mails sent by me and the customer and its a week now... I had to refund the customer's money from my own pocket as it were.

2. Eyowo's phoneline now rings but nobody has been picking it for 2 days straight.

3. Normal account settlements that were due to be paid on Tuesday (2 days ago) have not been paid (today is Thursday and tomorrow is supposed to be another settlement day).

4. Eyowo does not communicate issues with its merchants. Merchants are left to keep speculating what the issues are.

Well I wish the company well but I can't sink with it so I have abandoned the Eyowo ship and I advise Eyowo merchants to carry out their own investigations if they are to continue receiving payments through Eyowo.

Update(Friday July 19 2013).
Settlements that were supposed to be paid on Tuesday have just been paid today (Friday) their next settlement day. While I have no issues with delayed settlements (for whatever reasons known to them alone, as they never give you any situation reports), this is the first time I have experienced such a delay with them.

I have still not received any email regarding the transaction problem (not like I am expecting anyone at this point) but just FYI.

I wish them the best in their business endeavors.

There's no going back for me at this point.
Programming / Re: How Much Do You Earn As A Developer Per Month? by DualCore1: 11:08am On Jul 15, 2013
When I retire, I will take some months to balance the sheets and then get back to this thread and tell. For now, I just keep receiving GTB, Paypal and Payoneer alerts tongue

E fit be 5k per month or something else... I honestly don't know.

Whether na 1 Naira, whether na 1 million... Enjoy what you do and do it well.

I suggest people spend months working on game-changing scripts or applications or web businesses that will feed them over and over than keep building 10k websites month-in month-out...its boring.

If una wan help this guy, help him. If not, free the matter and leave those who want to help to use their better judgement and decide to help or investigate more before helping.

This matter just keeps getting pushed to ridiculous extents like we have nothing better to do with time.

Relax guys, this thing is being pushed too far.

When I dropped his facebook details here I wasn't trying to prove he was a scammer. I just called his attention to it so he could explain what Facebook had to say. I don't have an active facebook account, in fact I just logged into it after more than a year yesterday to check this guy up (and yea I saw the ex that's now married, the freak who owed me money and is now in Dubai flexing, the other ex that's now with my friend, the neighbor who grrrrrr... you see why I hate Facebook eternally?...twitter too)... So I won't take the info on Facebook seriously as we all love to live fake lives with fake profiles at some point in our real lives.

Elvis drop your number here please, if the sun comes out I will be at the gym and pool area of GrandVenice hotel later in the day. If you stay in Rumuodara, its the street off your road. I can't come into Okporo to meet you cuz the crazy fellows who constructed the road separator were not in their right minds at the time. If I enter that road, I can't U turn until I get to RD road or so.

So if you're up for the very short meeting, drop your number. Its not for me to prove anything, just want to hear your story one on one.

My apologies for the misunderstanding. I will do well to refrain from using such words as "chakra" among the non-anime l337s.

By chakra I meant your strength, not to be mistaken with shakara.

You should have allowed him to answer your first 2 questions. If you have, Im sure you wouldnt need to write all u wrote up there cos I believe HE IS ON YOUR SIDE!

Chakra and shakara is not and cannot be the same thing.
By the way, I thought you live in india and if so, its surprising words like "chakra" didnt make sense to you.

My last bullet grin: Relax bro!
Thank you

Chakra means energy in Dual Cores context..

Webmasters / Re: Can You Suspend A Clients Site Due To Non Payment? by DualCore1: 7:43pm On Jun 24, 2013
No I can't suspend an online application for non-payment because nothing will make me start the project in the first place without 80% already paid and nothing will make that project go Live without the remaining 20% paid first (except I waive off the remaining 20% cuz you've been such a nice client, the 80% was actually the full cost for the job anyway :-P ). So if its online, its been fully paid for. The rest is history.

Bots crawl websites (old and new) looking for known signatures. If the site matches any of their signatures (a blog for instance) they attack it as programmed. Some attacks may involve making comments on your posts, intelligent comments (although generic) that look like they know what you are talking about but when you look closely you see they are just trying to advertise a link, market a product or something else. The views you have gotten are least likely to be from real human visits.

OlisaAnderson: The reason most Nigerians are not successful.
Actually the reason why people (not just Nigerians) fail is because they refuse to accept failure. When you do not accept failure, you see no room for progressive success. You're young, apply that to your plenty years ahead.

The word is insomnia. It does not make sense to coin in-sonmia from insomnia, what make's sense is in-somnia. So your domain should be in-somnia.com not in-sonmia.com.

Secondly the cursive text in your logo says in-somnia. Refer to the attached image.

No one's expecting perfection from you, just a bit of realism.

Webmasters / Re: Website Review: Www.in-sonmia.com by DualCore1: 10:51pm On Jun 11, 2013
You are sorry because you were caught.
Nothing edgy or dodgy about your site however the comments on the stylesheet look template'ish. That said, I am not in the business of spending huge amounts of valuable time digging into matters to burst someone. So while its possible you did it from scratch, I reserve the right to think it may be a template.

It won't be unusual for GraphicPlus to invest time into digging out evidence to show you're using a template as he claims. And since you have a past record of deception, naturally it's a problem for anyone to just believe anything you say now. This may also affect your business. The first impression I am getting of you is deception and desperation, nothing personal but I won't want a deceptive person working on my project. Really, its the first impression you have given me and probably most of your potential clients.

So if you are convinced that you did it yourself, good work! If however there's something you're not saying, its best to say it before you are caught again and we go through the "i'm sorry" cycle again.

P.S: Your choice of name is quite unusual, I will like to know the inspiration behind the phrase "in-sonmia". Its even more confusing because a close look at the cursive in your logo says "In-somnia" which is close to the sleeping sickness insomnia. So there're both "in-sonmia" and "in-somnia" on your site.

JideTheBlogger:

How will they handle numbers that have been ported?
That's a question for Saka to answer tongue

On the serious side of the matter I really am not in a position to tell how they can implement a solution to deal with numbers that have ported. I have not used their recharge system before so I don't know how it works. The bottom line is that a verification has to be done to avoid the scenario above. Possible methods like a reversal of transaction if the system cannot load the voucher on the number provided, or a double check before the user commits to the transaction... so when the user makes a move to buy so so so voucher for so so so network, he gets to pass a confirmation stage where he is told "you are buying so so so voucher for so so so phone number and so so so network, click Proceed to continue".
Webmasters / Re: Simplepay4u Now Messing Up! - Again!!! by DualCore1: 2:47pm On Jun 07, 2013
Lol, think long term. Just throw 5k in at once and that should take care of all your recharging needs for you and your babe(s) for the entire month (or entire week, as the babe(s) may demand).

databoy247: There is a site i saw www.onlinevouchersng.com and registered so i can purchase recharge cards but guess what, you can only fund your wallet with a MINIMUM of N5,000 paying a service charge of N500.. angry angry(na do or die to make money?)and yours truly fled with speed!

*shaking my head*
OnlinevouchersNG is VERY reliable and you can't make such mistakes as made on Simplepay4u. The 5k limit for account funding is also shocking to me but the owner of the site knows better. Probably one of the many measures to fight the credit card frauds around.

Now to the Simplepay4u issue, its not so much of a big deal. Just send them a mail advicing them to add conditional statements to their script to check for phone numbers matching chosen networks. They have a pretty serious team.

watching closely...
Shutting down of the exchanger sites seems to be only a first step. Depending on the legal proceedings of the LR owner and his crew, moves could be made to prosecute these exchangers as accomplices to money laundering among other charges.

How many brands are you an ambassador for on Twitter?
Two permanent ones at the moment. Others are period specific.

What are the names of these brands?
It is in my best interest not to share.

Since when did the work of an ambassador require this level of confidentiality? Is the reverse not supposed to be the case? Should't he have been proud to mention them for whatever publicity he thinks he has?

It's certainly in his best interest to shut up before we start seeing disclaimers from the supposed brands the next morning. Twitter and its wonders, best thing I never regretted not using.

Namecheap cannot take down a domain it has registered without hard proof of fraud or a breach. For instance if there was a link to a pornographic content or a fake bank site on any domain they have registered they inform the customer about this and gives them 24 hours to take it down. If nothing is done, Namecheap nullroutes that domain thereby making it useless. In your case, nothing can be proven.

Reporting this to your host too will yield nothing much if you do not have a very strong case brought forward.

Generally sites won't be taken down for isolated cases of "scam".
