bakenda:Do not put up your bank account details on your site. Ensure the bank account details can only be seen in an invoice or in a customer's mailbox only after a successful order. Insist and ensure the depositor name should contain the unique invoice or order ID. Use a sane Bank. Ofcourse this won't out-rightly stop this means of fraud but it will reduce it to a minimum. I learned most of these from a client when I was building his ecurrency exchange site (ecashshop.com). Their business is the worst hit. |
swaggerboi2011:That's because you see Google as a dictionary that only understands keywords. Ask Google questions like you would ask a human, do not "search for things" with Google, ask direct questions. I dont even have to bother Google'ing "how to install joomla" because I know I will get a million results that will work. Don't feed Google with just search keywords, feed it with full sentences and phrases. |
pc guru:No he didn't. WeMaStEr:As a web designer/developer/master that you are or intend to be you shouldn't take delight in ripping fellow designers and developers off. For a while you have been posting warez stuff of all sorts of templates and scripts. You should understand that these are people's long nights and sweat. If you have really created any solution from scratch you would know how painful it is to be doing what you are doing. Its bad enough to use warez stuff and its even worse to promote it. Apart from going against the Nairaland rules, you are doing this industry no real good with these actions. See to it that it is stopped for the good of all. |

Tomorrow one madman will wake up and say they are changing OOP to POOP ![]() |
chazy:Same here, more like inspiracopy. I reserve all rights for that word. Do not use, do not inspiracopy. |
Its written clearly "OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT". How is the Nigerian government Nigeria? ![]() |
I may have to start looking at other languages to make my "home" lang, that allow some more consistency and open decision making. ![]() Most of us don't like change, most of us just include files we wrote ages ago. It works, why fix what isn't broken. This is like RIPE stripping of all IPV4 IPs cuz we will soon run out of them to replace them with IPV6, they wont do that cuz its stupid. |
Example of how this can happen. Case study (ecurrency exchanger site) Eccurency site exchanges Liberty Reserve (LR) for Naira. Say 160 Naira per LR Dollar Scammer goes to site and fills the order form for 1500 LR. Which is 240,000 Naira. Scammer kidnaps someone child and asks for ransom of 240,000 Naira. Scammer gives parents ecurrency site's bank details to pay the money into. Parents confirm deposit, scammer notifies ecurrency site of payment. Ecurrency site funds scammers LR (one-way, no chargebacks or refunds on LR transfers) Parents get their pikin, go to police with ecurrency site's bank details . . The police. . . watch out for part 2. |
In my opinion, won't work. Your function must return something. |

1000 babes project will make more sense to *dhtml. I_want_to, nothing much to say. I am more interested in your Bleep up cuz I go break your head personally. Use namecheap for your domain registration. GTB's mastercard works well with it (when GTBs internet banking isnt down, it goes down like once a month or so, on the average). Nice server spec, I have servers with same spec but with 24GB RAM. They have served very well for my OpenVZ virtualisations so you've got a strong machine. Except you tiff am (which is impossible) you must have spent about 100k for its initial setup and lease, I commend your commitment. |
mkohagwu:You may want to learn to control what you say seeing as you do not constitute any authority whatsoever over anyone here. |
Your questions doesn't have fixed answers. Price tag is in the hands of the owner. |
Interesting. This now looks like a show off thread gone wrong. What do I know? This one goes out to y'all out there hoping to ask for reviews in the future and get accolades. You and I are very busy so please show some love when you ask me to waste my time by not even asking in the first place. ![]() Do NOT start what you can't handle. Do not mistake reviews with show offs they are two very different things and we are good at giving both so don't be shy to state clearly what you want. Lastly, (this one is for my sake, really) in your "review" threads be sure to state if you are proud or/and have a weak sense of humour. ![]() Lastly lastly, oh screws! just saw a UFO. . . |
The devil is real and he never comes in green or blue flavors, only red. ![]() C'mon bro, there's nothing good about red (except for yawa's lips). Ever been caught RED handed? |

I suggest you go for the Bronze plan or higher. If you are going for the Bronze plan which has a base price of $15/month and you add the optional addons (cpanel/server management) which is $25/month it brings your total cost per month to $15 + $25 which is $40 per month. You can pay in Naira at any GTBank branch. Although I strongly recommend cPanel, you may be able to survive without it on your VPS and that cuts the $40 cost to $25 per month. Let me know if you are seriously interested in this and I will set up a server for your bench testing to be sure it meets your needs before you pay for it. P.S: I am offering to do a bench test before you commit your money because I have never had to install Glassfish or work with it. As long as it runs on Linux, I can get it to work on any Linux distro on any server I config. |
On a shared hosting server this may not be too feasible. If you can purchase a managed VPS on TruDigits.com then I could set your your server per your needs running on CentOS linux or any other Linux distro of your choice. See https://www.trudigits.com/vps-hosting.php for the VPS plans. You will require the following addons added to your plan so factor the monthly cost of those into your budget. cPanel $15 /month Server management $10 /month |
Why do I get the impresion of shaking hands with the devil, looking at that handshake image at the bottom? ![]() |
Its your blog that you are trying to market in a very annoying way. I should sue you for time/bandwidth wastage. |
Looks good. the /index.php can be removed from the nav links and it will still work well giving the nav links a cleaner look. The search results need to be positioned properly. The footer could use some bottom margin. |
I don't see any SEO questions or answers here, as of yet.
|
WeMaStEr:The $10 is the base price. People use a VPS for many things apart from webhosting. One could get that $10 VPS without any addons and use it as a rsync backup or a DNS cluster server. If however you require a VPS for webhosting and don't know how to set a blank server up yourself you will need to have the following addons at least: cPanel/WHM (+$15/month) Server Management (+$10/month) |
Thanks guys. I have fixed the issue *dhtml raised ![]() |
