theagent:LoL @ "if we like it". Nice one. That feature isn't really visible on the site now. You can add it to the first slide in the banner slides as a call to action with a link straight to the page. |
You can try Google.com and put this in the search box "importance of a site map". I did that and got tons of helpful information that's too much to make in one post. |
samo:Thanks. For this to be usable you need to add a value to each option. <option value="abia">ABIA</option> |
galatico:This is the point, you are stuck on a html anchor tag!! Learn how to code and you wont be stock by the <a> b1tch, you will start getting stuck by the nested for and while loop b1tches and you will conquer them and earn more satisfaction. There is NO easy way and there is NO hard way. . . there's just one way and its easiness or hardness is a function of your determination. That's by the way . . . if you can explain what further problems you are facing then a solution can be proffered. |
Technically a domain can be hosted for 200 Naira per month and your webhosting business will still be sustainable. Note that this dude didnt talk about domain registration along with the hosting or billing cycle. So, free the dude to market his stuff. At least its better than a site I am on right now advertised some minutes ago (on a thread created minutes ago) saying "I discovered a website that is so cheap, and what they offer all you could ever want to start a private, business or corporate website". I check the site. . . http://www.kncogichosting.com. While the boring video is being played I check the whois Domain Name: kncogichosting.com Registrant: Kimse Tuatongha ()email address guarded from harvesters 315 Seaview Ave. Bridgeport, CT 111020 US Tel: +1.79258858669 Fax: Creation Date: 2011-08-05 10:01:04 Expiration Date: 2012-08-05 10:01:04 Domain servers in listed order: ns1.kncogichosting.com ns2.kncogichosting.com Someone making noise about a domain that was created some hours ago and can still post some stuff about another person to woo him. bleh. . . I have seen a lot here. From lame market strategies to professional deception. PS: That's a really fu.cked (seun ble.e.e.e.e.p u) up choice for a domain name. . , kncogi , kongihosting.com woulda made more sense |
Why don't you create your own dual core scammed me thread and keep adding to my fame. You are pissed I brought out the fact that you were using a nulled WHMCS on your site? I will sanitize the webhosting industry in Nigeria to the last so watch me. You either do things right in the webhosting industry in Nigeria or don't bother. Next time don't come to this board spamming the whole board about a webhost company that just started when you havn't gotten up on the right foundation. Let me see that WHMCS license expire and you don't renew it and go back to using a nulled version and see if I will keep quiet. Its pathetic how you justify using a nulled version. A nulled version of any software is cracked and illegal. If you wanted a test what stopped you from going over to WHMCS to ask for a test. WHMCS provides a full demo so I can't see how your actions are justified and I wonder what image you are creating for your company. . . that some things can be done in a shady way just for testing purposes? **shrugs** Woulda reported your domain at the time and would love to see WHMCS reaction when you reply their DMCA suite telling them you were just testing their capabilities that's why you used a stolen version of their ware. WHMCS is the best hosting billing system out there and I wonder what WHMCS capabilities you want to test. . . if after your "test" WHMCS does not meet the "capability" in your webhosting business then its clear its you who are not capable of making WHMCS work for you. As said, I am entitled to my personal opinion and I have said it and will say it again. . . hostgator is NOT a standard, in my books. Take it or suck on it. I am not after your business and I don't think anyone here is interested cuz I didn't see anyone here attacking you when you came here some weeks back to spam the whole board with your 9jahoster posts, bringing back old smartwebng wound threads that they prolly healed from. You alone brought back 3 smartwebng complaint threads from the grave in other to advertise your nulled hostware. If you were as clean as you propose to be you wont be in the business of trying to climb to the top by matching on wounded people. What was your motive for posting your webhosting ads on 3 dead smartwebng complaint threads? Edidiong: ehn ehn ehn. . . chop your 404 finish commot for ma bar! ![]() Eneramo: Oo Siasia, your daddy! oO ![]() All names are fictional, if for any reason they tend to coincide with any real entities. . . as said, its coincidence. No dogs were harmed in the making of this. |
Its almost always useless getting past the first page of a thread, seeing as it degrades into re.tarded ethnic talk. Beats me how what has happened is related to an ethnic group. . . oh well it beats me how some of you make it through a computer or handheld device to make posts. . . user friendliness just sucks. Wish I was back in the DOS era. Less rubbish on my monochrome. The right thing to do now is for these dudes to press charges. . . but against who exactly? Who will pay for the legal proceedings? |
I can't say if GTBank's internet banking is the best but I don't know of any other internet banking platform that offers wire transfer from your dorm account online so its just suitable for my use. The platform in my opinion has a bugged session handling process. There used to be a fixed time of inactivity before sessions timed out, in the past. Now, sessions could time out even as you log in. Sorry this is not a security feature it is a bug. When your car's central locks start locking you up when they are not supposed to you dont call that security just cuz it locks the doors. Its a bug you can decide to ignore (like GTB has done) and keep unlocking the doors yourself. Reminds me of the statement on the t shirt i have on now. . . "its not a bug, its a feature" . . . thts a lie in this case ![]() A few ways I have tried to get through this over the years (cuz calling GTB customer care about this is as useless as i dunno, what do you really want them to do at that point? Call the dudes from Jordan? ).Be very quick with everything you do on GTB's internet banking platform. If you want to make a transfer, get your token handy before you even log in. Type very fast. No matter how fast you want to be during a transfer please confirm the Account name GTB brings up is the correct account name you intend to pay into. If you use firefox . . . get the addon that auto-refreshes a page ata given interval(I have forgotten the name but its there, get it from firefox's site). Login into your GTBank account and set the plugin to refresh the page every 2 seconds. In between refreshes ctrl + click on any of the links you want to go to so it opens in a new tab. Sessions keep alive across tabs of the same instance of the same browser so you can be working in one tab while the plugin keeps you alive by refreshing every 2 seconds in the other tab. As technical as this may sound. . . its not 100% efficient. It may fail after a couple of minutes but it works. . . Happy GTBanking, ![]() EDIT: I'm from the homepage so I am just noticing the title of this thread. When it comes to IT and automation, no other bank does it better than GTBank. GTBank is the only bank I have seen with a custom made application for almost every task. Most of the other banks just have that one silly looking computer programming homework running. . . you know the name. ![]() Please guys, don't bring down what GTBank is doing. . . its only in Nigeria we do not value software development. . . this bank spends a lot of money on these custom made software the least we can do is appreciate it and not make exaggerations when complaining. Infact, if all GTBank customers were highly computer literate and wont think their money would fly if they use the internet the GTBank branches will be a lot less crowded. The only thing I cannot do on that internet banking platform is fund my dorm account and its not like its a problem for them to enable that online. . . they just have to stick to CBN guidelines about money laundering. |

ford705:Not like I am keen about helping you but for the benefit of all, read up on php session management. Psuedocode //login page if login successful set sessions //other pages if session does not exist redirect to login page using something like header('Location: ?action=login'); or header('Location: login.php'); the redirect page all depends on your coding patterns and if you use php includes. None of these will make sense if you don't spend some 5 minutes reading up on php sessions. Someone will be kind enough to translate this into a full working php code if my psuedocode isnt clear. No one is here to laugh at you, everyone is here to learn and learn we shall. |
luzoma:Long time. Concluded that SSL thingy? |
Google will provide a ton of information with this if you could just put this thread topic in Google search. When you have some time to learn a few new things you can check out www.w3schools.com for foundation courses on web design and development. |
ford705:This couldn't have been more disappointing. |

Never came across that function. Thank you guys. Live use for this will be in enforcing higher password strength. Keep the functions coming devs. I will compile them and keep an updated copy on the first post for anyone to easily download. |

I understand the cost effectiveness of subdomains over domains. Weldone then. |
The aim of this thread: post PHP functions you have created to make your coding experience better. Let's try to keep it at one function per post. Provide the function, an explanation of what problem it solves and an example usage. This should be fun, there's love in sharing .I'll go first ==================== I use this to generate a random ID of a specified length. The length you want is given in the argument. I cannot remember when I wrote this but I use it on every project I can remember. example usage $member_id = genId(15); //creates an alphanumeric string with 15 characters. ======================= function genId($length) { $characters = "0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz"; $string = ""; for ($v = 0; $v < $length; $v++) { $string .= $characters[mt_rand(0, strlen($characters))]; } return $string; } ======================= |
I don't understand. . . project complete? Was this your plan from the start or you are halting here for some reasons? Anyway, update your first post with the list of sites. |
