Nothing wrong in asking. Check here http://www.softaculous.com |
Slyr0x:That's the disadvantage we faced, of being a mod. You no fit freestyle anyhow ![]() |
werepeLeri:Unlike slyr0x I don't give people the benefit of the doubt when they themselves are doubt personified. You see the way you used to get inside here? Use that same way to get out. Coming back here is not an option for your myopic mind. As for the rest of the thread. No comments. |
epapa:On a very rough estimate, what's the babe to guy ratio in the groups? Whats the location too? ![]() |
I dunno how to teach ![]() But I can give you web dev e-bibles ![]() |
On the contrary I think beginners should start the "hard way" (notepad++) and up the "easy way" (dreamweaver). Its like going to driving school and learning with Auto transmission. won't help when you meet a Manual transmission. For instance, one thing most beginner dreamweavers find hard to comprehend is why their images show up on dreamweaver but won't show up when they upload. All they know about uploading an image is to click the insert image button and insert an image from anywhere. That can't happen when you have to learn to write codes cuz you most likely woulda learned about absolute and relative paths. Another instance where dreamweavers get frustrated is that dreamweaver isn't click-drag-drop so you can't really position thing with pixel accuracy if you rely on that design view (as most people do). Then again the codes these IDEs produce is always dirty, especially js effects or fireworks imports. These are still my personal opinions o! I used dreamweaver as my lifeline in its MX days. Talking from experience cuz when I had to face Manual transmission I had to go back to driving school(w3schools.com) and start all over again from the basics. |
LoL, BIS. That's our own monthly sickness, the women have theirs. |
You're welcome. |
But what do you need dreamweaver's design view for in web design and development? Dreamweaver is just a text editor and a browser joined together with the added feature os spoiling one with all the spry woosh and code completion. Notepad++ on the other hand puts you face to face with the demons powering your site. Demons become your slaves when you gain mastery over them, lol. All this is just my personal opinion sha but nothing beats my collabo of Notepad++ and Firefox, for me. |
Notepad++ and some Brain++. My view may seem silly but you will thank me later. |
Awesome! |
No one insulted you so stop sulking and get that rubbish off and work on it. You, can't you think outside the box? You are advertising a service and are showing your incompetence right in the same post. Which sane car manufacturer puts a car that is "under upgrade" on the highway for commercial use? What form of quality testing has your site passed to make it fit for human interaction? So what, I want a hotspot deployed in my place and I go to a site and see how your very site's hotspots are screwed up in the name of "under upgrade" and I have to wonder if this is how you would leave my hotspot screwed up? If all you have picked out from our reactions is insults then ignore me and face some place else. Sadly I can't wish you all the best with your endeavors cuz my wishes are too expensive to be wasted. I can only pray for the industry. You have not finished inside work, you are looking for outside work. |
What rubbish. . . do you realise all the navigation links on your site are pointing to "http://www.ajatix.com/trial.html"? ![]() Why are we always in a hurry to display ignorance? When these sites get hacked, we wonder why. What was so hard in getting a fully functional site with some quality testing passed before publishing? |
Why go outside the country when you can get even better with TruDigits.com? |
Seun:^^ Delete mobinga's post, its not longer of any use. ![]()
your contributions to this thread are most welcome
We accept paypal and ATMs. |

Post the solution, to help someone someday. |

Spent the last 2 hours publishing a tool i created some time back for my personal use. Its a site online checker. Checks if a site HTTP and FTP protocols are online. Comes in handy in situations where a site like nairaland.com isnt opening on your browser and you have to check whether its really nairaland.com that is down or its your crappy connection. I have just created it in the form of a site and a browser plugin for Firefox and Internet explorer so you can just run the search directly from your browser. I have put it on the Mozilla Addons site and its under review Plugin download https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/test-site-for-me/ https://i54.tinypic.com/24g3afn.jpg Main site: http://www.testsitefor.me |
You get to pay half the stated price. |
All the best. |
He will fix that also. LoLz |
Foolishness is tied up in the hearts of many. |
cdeveloper:Actually, this is a wrong assumption and could make you lower your guard feeling you are in a safe zone when you are not. It could be anything from a hole in the OS you use to a hole in a script you never thought or noticed, it could be services running on standard ports giving the attacker something to chew on. What you may have now is script kiddies rattling door knobs on your site and that's something a good firewall rule set should handle. If this were targeted attacks your having IP addresses would be useless as I am sure you are aware of botnets and distributed attacks. All the best with your site and I suggest you carry out regular security audits. |
Get into the 2go rooms and ask the users what they want that 2go isn't offering. All the best with this, make it happen. |
Yes it will. Its either they terminate you or their upstream terminates their contract. Either ways, you get terminated but the first option is always the viable one. You should also let our provider see the efforts you are putting in place. When they send you a report, reply the report with the damage control measures you have taken. Show them the suspended URL. You can send them a blind carbon copy (bcc) of the suspension email you sent to the defaulter. |
Well, only your host can really say whats up now. All outgoing mails must pass through the mail queue of the webserver and if your host has admin privileges to the server they should be able to see the Mail Queue and see what "hanging" that email. It could be a server wide change like a new firewall rule blocking outgoing SMTP port. Google Apps is a very solid mail service I recommend for any one who wants to use emails for serious business. The advantages are many. Your emails are served from Google servers and are guaranteed to deliver at all times to all other providers, cuz its from the boss Google ![]() Your host's downtime will not affect your emails. Your hosts can go down and you will still be getting emails (if configuration of the Google apps is done with the domain's CNAME). 7GB of space to play with. The sleek Gmail user interface and features. You retain your email format, yourname@domain.com You may want to try that because its free for 50 email accounts. (I am not to sure if its now free for 10 email accounts or its still 50). |
