I just an't believe this. |
Does this phone have a good PDF reader? Can I conveniently read documents on it? |
How come this made the front page? Beside PDP has issued a rejoinder. that should make the front page too. NL is becoming too one sided.https://www.nairaland.com/1364383/pdp-blasts-cpc-distancing-self |
Huumm!! Tunde Fash Must Go! since he joined politics in 2011 and stopped being a technocrat, he has put us in excruciating pain. his administration has reached its lowest ebb. rather than listening to the cry of the masses, he is busy gallivanting the whole country. NEVER again! will we re elect a governor for a second term. |
There is a sinister motive behind this same kind of discussion hitting the home page twice in less than 3hurs. |
Non of the bunch from the north in this list make sense to me. |
I am 100% in support. however I'm used to violent protest so I don't know ho I can effectively contribute. Whenever we are going to have a street protest on this, I hope to give more than 100%. the data pricing is quite ludicrous. no wonder we have cheats everywhere. I personally don't like cheats. But cheats will thrive when we don't have an acceptable " minimum wage" with regards to mobile data. The Tell-Cos must help fight corruption in this country by revisiting the data plan charges and values. What they are offering is unacceptable. |
They are just putting it diplomatically. I believe they mean; Go and meet the president, Beg him and settle with him. remind him of the security challenges and torment you are facing. But that is what we have been telling him. hope he listens this time. |
This is Good!!! I'm not from Abia state, But this is good and should make the home page. If other propaganda from our south west states make the home page, I seen no reason why this shouldn't. |
emmanuel4758: suen remove dis bba eye or elsea nairalanders wil go on strike dat ilumi eye is disturbinReally? Seun na Illumi na? you no know? |
Rotimi Fashakin can say all he like to preserve their political image. The fact remains that the blunt truth was said by Yinka. Even political sycophants know this. |
this is graciously lovely |
I think Rivers House of Assembly should have at least two dozens of club wielding Chidi Llyod in that house; having opposing views. Because that house was already dead IMO. A house that is an appendage of Amaechi led Executive. Passing obnoxious laws that is not aimed at benefiting the people of rivers. That bloody house approved an outrageous sum of approximately 50 million USD for the purchase of a private jet for Amaechi so that he can own a jet and then gallivant the globe when he is out of office(as it was not well registered to show it totally belonged to River State) . That same House approved that two houses be built for Amaechi in PH and ABJ among other things; where there are no housing scheme for civil servants in the state. RSHA has to value to the people of river state. People are just being sentimental about the issues in Rivers State just to earn political capital/relevance. Unfortunately the right questions are not being asked. This should have been an opportunity for the needed revolution in Rivers state, an opportunity for a corona inquest on governance in Rivers state, an opportunity for a critical evaluation of the so called dividend of democracy relative to the amount being spent. Unfortunately No one is saying any thing. |
Fash, will reply soon because he is a member of this forum. |
The only power that will go to the north is the epileptic PHCN power. |
Can this topic be moved to the home page for a more robust discussion? https://www.nairaland.com/1361478/ruling-brought-ameachi-power-implication#16842277 |
I never thought of this until now. Well, I'm not a lawyer But this is serious. Has Amaechi considered this angle? I think this should hit the Home page so that our lawyers can make more informed input to this discussion. |
This is a positive news as some folks will have to get the hell out of Nairaland. |
![]() What can I say? Politics is all about interests. every one got their own. |
J12: When did the AIT become a world class conglomerate? You must be jokingAIT should be the second largest TV broadcast organisation after NTA |

You people should understand that the issues involved did not start this week as some of you have programmed your mind to agree with. Remember the issues of Oill wells? Amaechi should have handled these issues better; not these reactions we are seeing. The Governor should have averted all these issues before it gets to this point. He didn't because "i think" he wan't to prove a point. That's fine. But that is weak leadership. The way out? I have stated it in my other post. KayEnn: This one is just being clueless. I'm sure he's not tasted leadership at any level at al. Convincing people who are bent on seeing your destruction to a truce? How is that possible when they are being engineered from the upper echelon? Go and sleep if you dun have what to say; my friend. plaindealer: How? By selling his state and soul to the devil like a cheap jackass with no principles and sense of worth? Boyoorisha: You need to widen your thinking horizon! If you care to know, the all saga is beyond Amaechi's control. There is no amount of maturity Amaechi will display that will change those rogues that are being remote controlled from Abuja. The mandate is to unsit this guy as governor, and you expect him to fold his arm and watch them in the name of being matured. Even you, would have acted the same way as Amaechi. |
I just had to laugh!!!!!!! ![]() |
Clerverly: I was speechless and dumbfounded yesterday watching the supposedly "elected" speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly shouting and hailing some thugs he brought with him to house; You cant count the number of cultists in Nigeria politics. |
joker5180: am surprise u said u wunt take side, what r d issues that ought to hv bn addressed? what about d drama during NGF election, is it the same arrogance nd failure to resolve issues?Does it seem as if I'm taking sides? If you know "ALL" the issues not "SOME" state them and proffer solutions let me see. What I stated was a solution for Amaechi. Believe me, this is the wisest solution. In fact, That is the ONLY solution. someone must do it this way. I think Amaechi should follow this route. I stated an example of my state. I'm not emotional when it comes to politics. However, human begins will always justify their actions, no matter what you say. Believe me, Amaechi is the one to Stop this mess through dialogue. We should Tell Amaechi the Truth for goodness sake! HE SHOULD CALL EVERY ONE TO A TABLE, TALK AND GET OUT OF PDP! HE CAN NOT BE IN PDP AND BE ROMANCING WITH THE OPPOSITION THE WAY HE IS DOING. this is the truth unless you want to twist it. |
@ OP, I'm not from rivers state and not one of those who will take sides and keep going back and forth. However, I may agree with your post but I also saw a police office beating the Hon member in black suit "Hon. Ihunwo " That incident raises a lot of questions. Any one who is biased will not respond to that appropriately. Now This is Rivers State we are talking about and Amaechi is the Governor. Honestly every body saw this coming. Do you think Amaechi has handled this things well or he has let things degenerate to this level so as to prove a point, gain sympathy or support from disgruntled politicians? I personally think that Amaechi would have managed things better but he deliberately wants to do it this way to see what will happen. "I mean amaechi himself can solve this problem but He just don't want to do it" Sentiments aside, Amaechi can call every body together today to a round table and this will be resolved. Honestly Amechi is not being wise irrespective of the support and sympathy he gets. There was a time in my state that the governor was hated and removed by the court(he had to go for a rerun) . People who hated him were all over; speaking as they like and heating up the polity. In fact, a popular elder in the state was openly against the governor and some folks were supporting the Elder. what did the governor do? he humbled himself never tried to show power with anyone. He met with the president with elders from all the senatorial district at Abuja and the issues were resolved. That is a wise leader. Honestly, I will put the blame on Amaechi, because even at this point he can calm things down and resolve things But he will not do so because he has a point to prove. that makes him foolish. Amaechi is destroying his state; that will exist after him. This whole thing is political. He should stop his juvenile approach to issues and show his dexterity and sagacity as a leader. The resolution of all this issues depends on his show of humility and wisdom. WINSTON CHURCHILL said; It is better to jaw jaw than to war war. |
The big problem is that, in an attempt to discredit GEJ, some Nigerians are destroying the image of Nigeria on the internet. People think when they insult GEJ, it ends that way. people will address you that same way. Its what Nigerians call themselves, that's what others will call them. Before people will realize this it may be too late. Please we should learn to portray a positive image of this country, no matter the case. Will anybody here marry from a family where they don't have self esteem and regard for themselves, will you do business with a bank, where the staff debase the institution with what they say? you all will most likely go for a worse one where a positive image is always being shown. Please image is every thing this days. believe me Nigerians are presently doing more harm to this country than ever. |
mmtcheeew... the court should have sentenced them to die by firing squad on national TV. That would mean that justice is seen by all to have been done. Tomorrow, other members will organize a Prison Break. |
masonkz: A President of a nation isn't supposed to make such statements. Citizens can. He's there for a reason. That to me, is total rubbish. Both presidents and citizens are joint stakeholders in nation building. Do you sometimes think the president is more Nigerian than every other person? or he is a super human and the citizens less human? Please be honest. Besides, when a president says such, it could be his own way of sowing empathy and sympathy. But are Nigerian really that honest with this thought pattern? If the president comes out tomorrow and say 'Nigeria is great' some persons will still object to it, claiming that Nigeria not great. |
