PoliticsRe: Don’t Lie, Ogun Has No Free Health Services, Doctors Tell Gov. Amosun by duality(m): 8:23pm On Jun 24, 2013
Some folks have changed the trajectory of this thread. Giving us links and pictures that have nothing to do with the topic. Please stop this nonsense. we can't solve the problems of Nigeria like this. An Issue form an ACN controlled state is raised rather than address the issues and keep the govt on their toes. some folks are diverting and spoiling this whole thing.

So If Amosun misbehaves we should not tell him because he is in ACN; yet we bombard PDP and the president daily. This thing no sweet me at all. especially since I know that ALL politicians think alike irrespective of the party they belong

Gbewe and Co should stop this nonsense please. angry

Mods, Please delete any reply and pictures that have nothing to do with the topic; so when the governor sees this topic this night, he'll know people are serious.
PoliticsRe: BREAKING: Judge Sends Lagos Speaker, Ikuforiji, To Prison by duality(m): 5:38pm On Jun 24, 2013
what Can I say....?

We have to fight corruption. But they say its only " the others " that are corrupt.
TravelRe: Power Outage At Uyo Airport Forced Plane To Return Back To Abuja by duality(m): 4:36pm On Jun 24, 2013
I cant imaging what the news will be; if an ACN politician was on that Aircraft. some folks would have spun all sorts of political stories and permutations. The president would have been brought to Niraland slaughter house; and no one would have waited a second to reason objectively.

End time tinz.. if this is real.

PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan Leaves Port Harcourt. by duality(m): 8:43pm On Jun 23, 2013
Okija forget that thing. any place you see such gathering, money is being spent. Even if you become the president tomorrow, you'll spend money pulling supporters and cheerleaders. Its a necessity in the nigerian political environment. People even transport such people from one state to another especially during political rallies. its normal, Its not a Patience Jonathan thing.
RomanceRe: 5 Rules Of Every Relationship by duality(m): 6:16pm On Jun 23, 2013
The only rule I give is to keep relationships HOLY. This is the only time tested rule for relationship. The rest are all human logic that REALLY changes nothing.

Even the Devil knows this.
PoliticsRe: *2015 ELECTION!** APC Allocates Offices by duality(m): 6:01pm On Jun 23, 2013
GEJ will win if he runs for a second term. The election will be free, credible but not fair.

APC should consult their gods and find out if it will say anything different from what I've stated.
PoliticsRe: Tambuwal Has No Regrets For Praising The Opposition by duality(m):
Its normal for humans to react that way. ACN will do the same if Lie Mohamad commends the strides of PDP. To me Tambuwal is just playing to the gallery. Besides, he has never openly commended the positives strides of his Party men; Not even Rotimi his bosom friend.

So he should keep quiet and face his legislative duties. He should not forget that the legislator has not passed any groundbreaking bill under his watch. apart from the 80-70 Dollar oil bench mark grandstanding.
PoliticsRe: Ajimobi's First-class schools in Oyo by duality(m): 10:25pm On Jun 22, 2013
Gbawe: These guys, obviously working to budget constraint and access to funds, all have solid plans. Oyo will build three model schools in each senatorial district of the state that will serve as the prototype for public schools to be built in the State.

http://nationalmirroronline.net/new/oyo-to-boost-education-with-three-model-schools/
Will you give credence to the above; If the report came from the FG?
PoliticsRe: Ajimobi's First-class schools in Oyo by duality(m): 10:23pm On Jun 22, 2013
Incredible

I want to beg... Please, pictures like this will not help the image of our nation. You guys should not destroy Nigeria because of PDP and ACN
PoliticsRe: Fasola's First-class Schools In Lagos by duality(m): 5:49pm On Jun 22, 2013
Rednose: @OP. It seems to me that one of the reasons development is slow in Nigeria is because of political-party competition. As a good citizen, why not contact the Local Govt. in charge of these schools. Where are these schools located? The locations are not mentioned in this post. Posting pictures here with caption '...Keep in mind Lagos has been under ACN for almost 16 years now...' is not enough.

I feel strongly that Lagos state has seen tremendous change under the present administration, even though more needs to be done. Besides, development is the responsibility of, not only the govt. but also of the citizenry. Nigerians keep quiet way too much, the PTA of the schools whose photos are posted here should have complained to the school authorities. Complaints could possibly have been made but the Local Govt. Council is not responsive about the issue.

It is good that you enlighten others about what goes on elsewhere; however, don't be biased about it and it would be helpful to include the locations of these schools.
well said. But you should have said this in the "opposite" thread. Because of PDP and ACN/APC politics, we no longer reason objectively. we can no longer address any issue on its merit anymore. we either Blame PDP or GEJ so as to make the opposition look good. or Fight he opposition to make them know they are bad.

Tinubu accuses the president of not fighting poverty. In his own state he has not fought poverty, nether has the present governor done anything substantial about poverty. Now If we want to address such issue; People will reduce it to PDP/GEJ vs ACN/APC. The truth is we cannot develop this way.
PoliticsRe: Fasola's First-class Schools In Lagos by duality(m): 5:36pm On Jun 22, 2013
LOL Oturuuuugbekeooohhhh!!!!

Some govt are just playing to the gallery. Anyway, bookmarked. we shall use this in 2015 if necessary.
PoliticsRe: Kenyan Aircraft Was Grounded For Violating Security Procedures by duality(m): 12:41pm On Jun 21, 2013
Thank God we didn't play politics with this news. maybe no politician was involved. Nigerians MUST learn to operate following rules; that way the world will respect our institutions. If we bend rules especially for politicians then we will keep fooling ourselves.
PoliticsRe: Igbos Ready To Dump PDP For APC —OKOROCHA by duality(m): 12:26pm On Jun 21, 2013
Well, from the look of things Rochas is on his own. I can recall he never made consultations before going to the APC. he is going to find it difficult dragging others with him.
PoliticsRe: FG Sends Food To Troops In Mali, PT Reporter Threatened With Arrest by duality(m): 5:16pm On Jun 20, 2013
iphy42: It is very unprofessional to reveal their source except maybe in a law court. Who would give inside information if he'll be named? The FG and defense ministry should sue them if it is indeed a slander then Premium times would their report.
If they do; tomorrow folks like you will cry out for media attack.
PoliticsRe: 2015: Alliance With North Won’t Help Yoruba —oodua Coalition by duality(m): 3:28pm On Jun 20, 2013
I personally have issues with the way we use the words "Progressive" , "Conservative" and "retrogressive s"

Its now being used for sycophancy. Those who have brazenly engaged in political criminality especially in the south west call themselves "progressives". This is quite ludicrous.
PoliticsRe: Amaechi's Health Centres! by duality(m): 10:29pm On Jun 19, 2013
Ok, we shall use it to campaign for the PDP in 2015. bring them on. However, posting pictures on NL which is the new trend is not the best way for political and government appraisal. I honestly know what I'm saying. I won't say more because Jesus spoke in parables for the same reason.

prinxadeniyi: PLEASE did anyone receive an invite from fortis oil for an aptitude test slatted for 22nd of june 2013?
the sms says we're to pay the sum of N1650 to obtain a smart data card which will enable us access to the test questions and other things.
Where my doubt came in is that the account name we are to pay to is the name of their so called personnel manager (Mrs Fortis Ogbangba).
please any useful information will be appreciated.

I think Abati is giving Okupe a run for his money smiley
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Is Ethically-Challenged Not Me - Ribadu by duality(m): 2:08pm On Jun 11, 2013
This reply shows that Abati really pulled Ribadu's nerve. the above is synonymous to that of a crying child.

But on a serious note, all these back and forth drama/reportage by the media shows how low the Nigerian Media has fallen.

If a foreigner follows the Nigerian media especially in the year 2013,He'll keep wondering what the heck is wrong with Nigerians.

PoliticsRe: PDP To ACN: Stop Hiding Your Support For Insurgents by duality(m): 10:36am On Jun 11, 2013
The only sensible post so far.Azazi was the NSA who had access to all security intelligence;he wasn't a northerner but a southerner from Bayelsa who stunned the world that PDP was/is behind Boko Haram. Is senator Ndume an ACN memeber ? Is Azazi an ACN member ? Even Jonathan admitted the presence of BOKO HARAM in his cabinet yet he hasn't tell us who they are !

ACN has the right to hold its view on any issue concerning the government of Nigeria either the FG likes it or not.Its a democracy and everyone has the right to hold his/her own view. This is exactly what's happening in the US: Media freedom VS National security.

Republicans tackle OBAMA on virtually everything he does but I've never seen his party bad-mouthing the GOP.what's the problem with PDP and their endless bitching about opposition ?
you are not being sincere here. remove your acn lenses and be objective. I have not seen any constructive view from the acn. we the political neutrals know this.
PoliticsRe: Cleric Calls For Christian Governor In Lagos State Elections by duality(m): 9:16pm On Jun 09, 2013
Afam4eva: In Lagos, we don't care whether the governor is a Christian or Muslim. Mr Folarin or whatever you call yourself, if you don't like it, go back to your village.
My friend, speak for yourself. there are lots who do care. if no one cares as you think this story will not arise. Lagos is lucky to have an administrator who is prudent with religious issues. if Lagos had someone like senator Yerima as Gov, you will know that Lagosians are Nigerians who take religion seriously.
CareerRe: My Interview At Laplace Resourcing Company by duality(m): 9:29pm On Jun 04, 2013
guy relax!

They just had higher expectations. but how did you apply? did you meet the JD as was advertised? if they actually advertised.
Just move on. keep developing yourself; coz other opportunities will come. Finally, stop drinking. Its just an interview. anything can happen you know?. Those interviewers may not be the ones making the final hiring decision. I mean, anything happen this days nothing is really guaranteed. what if; you impressed them and the Oga at the top, refuses to approve; what will you do. you may not even be contacted thereafter.

Just move on. you have more battles and victories ahead. You can't face them soaked in beer. Learn to move on fast.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Generators At The Electricity Transformer At Ajegunle In Lagos - Photos by duality(m): 4:07pm On Jun 04, 2013
But lets be honest even with our jokes. a lot is being done at present in the power sector. its not as if the contractors are not on site. we shouldn't forget that before 2003 there was no watt added to the national grid. our present democracy has yielded impressive development in the power sector. If this is sustained, we will surely get there. Honestly, what we desire in the power sector cannot be achieved overnight. At least the present govt(state and federal) has shown the will to change things in this sector. we should celebrate this, sustain it, support it and not play partisan politics with it. My statement is from a honest judgement. I'm not a political sycophant. I don't support any party. but I say the truth.

Much is being done to have constant electricity in Nigeria we all should support it. I believe in Nigerians coming together to build our nation. No political party will EVER do what Nigerians must do for herself.(the agenda of Political parties has always been and will remain about wining elections. nothing more). so lets stop this "Fresh air nonsense".

Finally, please lets stop this "we vs them" syndrome. If Nigeria fails, you and I will be the victim. IF Fashola fails, lagosians will be the victim. same way if The president fails Nigerians will be the victim. Okey, past leaders have failed. hate them or like them. Nigerians are at the receiving end. worst that will happen is that they'll die like Abacha. and nothing will change. Lets be circumspect with our politicking, and always meditate on the second verse of our national anthem.

Gracias.

i suggested this when i was in primary 2, Let us all connect our gen sets to the national grid. we'll generate 70,000 MW in no time.
PoliticsRe: Why Do We ( The Igbos) Always Pander To Any Government In Power. by duality(m): 1:40pm On Jun 04, 2013
Clerverly: This has been my point. What are our negotiating tools other than "Jonathan may hand over power to us" as if it was a cake grin. What are bringing to the table to shake him up?
what negotiating tool did other region come with other than being in a vantage position to clinch the presidency. forget these nonsense. In nigeria. if you are not in a vantage position you CANNOT win the presidency. look at the PDP primaries of 2011. if you don't follow the tide in politics, you make your job more difficult. the reason you are thinking this way is because of the emergence of APC. But if you are honest in analyzing elections in Nigeria, you'll know its going to be difficult for the opposition to win the presidency. same with Lagos state.

besides the opposition do not win elections, the ruling party loses it.
