I know they have backlog but you absolutely can’t do anything about it, If you place a paid call to have your application reviewed it may be quickly decided by a very impatient case worker who is rushing for lunch break or cigarette break or the one that is rushing to go home and beat the rush hour.

Most ECOs priority is for the MA to resume school on time, so ECOs do NOT need to assess the dependants and MAs application at the same time, however some ECOs do.

If you did your biometrics on 19th June, it is just 4days since then, dependants decision timeframe is typically 3weeks.

I don't see the worry here, dependants can arrive at any time.

Please house help a worried soul. My family and I (family of 3) did biometrics on the 19th and now, main applicant has received collection mail and brp mail. Till now, myself and my child are still in DMC. I’m worried because everyone has been getting with their family at once. Even people who got nsf have gotten their visa. I want to make a paid call tomorrow if at 12pm I haven’t moved to vac. I learnt paid mails only get automated responses. I have checked every corner of my mail, there’s no nsf at all.
I also want to ask if they see a main applicant’s dependents once they attend to his application. If yes, why haven’t they attended to mine and my child’s after seeing main applicant’s?

I would appreciate a response to my inquiry. I intend to travel with my husband and our kids as dependents. Is it possible to apply for my husband and I first then apply for our kids a month later. The reason is this: Our kids passport is not yet ready and we do not want to wait until when we get it so that it does not affect my resumption date in September. I hope this will not pose a problem in case the visa officer starts to wonder why we would leave the young kids behind. We do not intend to. The plan is that I would go first then my husband will bring the kids a month or two months later once their visa is approved.
Also, I need to apply with my husband first as my dependent because the bulk of our pof is in his account. I hope it will not be an issue if the pof is in the account of the dependent and not the MA

Non settlement application= Other visa application with temporary residency (student,skilled workers, graduate visa etc)

Settlement application= Permanent residency application (Indefinite leave to remain)

She should get them from her previous employers. If she was self employed then she can submit her company registration documents,Tax clearance, company profile ,photos,invoices from her company's activities etc

It has to be an account you have immediate access to your funds. If it isn't then unfortunately you can't use it

No implications, it's just better to go above the minimum

Also ECOs can request for financial evidence for a specific timeframe (usually after 28days), as long as that can be provided then it should be okay

Are you sponsoring your sister?

If the funds are sent for her studies then that should be fine and she can use both accounts. Ensure she balance out the exchange rates on both accounts on the day of application using Oanda

Any other arrangement is deceit and will be banned for 10years when caught

MA and Spouse had TB but dependant child has not. We will be applying for Visa soon. I am thinking of opting for assisted service for the dependant child while MA and spouse do self upload. The arrangement is that we will travel once for the child TB and for biometric. We know we may have to pay for walk in if we have different dates for biometric.
I do hope our thoughts and arrangement is right.

2. Can I use school address as where we will be staying during Visa application even though we are not( or cannot) staying in the school accommodation?

3. Can I make use of Nigerian temporary driver's license I.D in the UK while waiting for the permanent to be out and sent?

Did pof for 30 days for self, applied for cas, got cas. Using same statement now for cas and visa. If I top same pof (same account) with additional funds to accomodate dependants who would apply for visa after I have applied and gotten mine, this top-up would run for another 30 days too.

Question: the inflow (that particular amount that came in) which I used to top up the account for dependant hope it wouldn’t cause any issue even after I’ve allowed the top up fund to count for another 30days too. You know ukvi might ask for earlier statement…

Speaking from the nsf angle and lump sum angle.

I understand how this can be a concern, there's a lot of family decisions to be made

Let's start from the generic

1. Either you or your spouse can pick up the kid (s) from Nigeria

2. This is solely your decision tbh, and depends on your family situation.

A few things to consider: 1. Has the 8months old been weaned or does she still depend on her mum? If not is she okay to let go?

2. The 3year old can start reception when he arrives, at this age school is free, so you only have to worry about school pick up and drop off and after school hours care compared to the 8month who will either have to be at Nursery (you probably will pay for certain hours, or arranged child care (you also have to pay) , or one parent will have to be home at all times (you have to decide with your spouse on how to manage with the child during the day when she attends Uni and the possibility of working at night)


3. It might be easier to use the MAs account, but again solely your decision

1. It's bang on Day 28, an extra day or 2 won't hurt but I also understand issues with exchange rates now. In terms of minimum requirements you are good to go

Please my POF matured today(28days). I started from 25th May to June 22 but i intend to use 26th may to June 22, hope I'm still on track....
My closing balance is 15,120,455 and checking oanda rate today is 14,858,680 after adding my remaining tuition fee of 7250 + 9207 maintenance fee.... My question is
1. Am I good to go as I will be applying today.
2. My POF is in my husband account although and he will be applying later next month because he went on a business trip but he's using another POF entirely.. and he also plan to submit my POF alongside with his when applying for his own to avoid recycling....
3. Hope there is no problem using my husband's account as he will writing a consent letter to back it up...

1. Resubmit all the financial documents including updated consent letters previously submitted,bank statements and any invoices if the funds have been used for your MA in the UK (Ensure recent invoices and statements are also included).

2. Draft a cover letter to explain what you have submitted.please quote ST 33.3 under section: Dependants of a student to say that the funds for your maintenance are in the same account with the MA to fulfill condition ST 22.1 on Appendix Finance.
