it's stupidity and the depravity of western society that makes them read meanings into everything as if everyone has to behave exactly the way they behave. most Nigerians don't think anything of such because they are not sexually attracted to same sex people. I remember as a youngster when we shared same beds etc. These things did not mean anything to me then because we did not have the depraved minds of westerners (oops, sorry) but I realise that in western societies, you're not likely to see such things. I was suprised to see how things and actions get labelled in the west when I first arrived. Every harmless action is given a meaning which is what they have been brought up with. @Hero, why must we do things exactly the way they are done in America? Please tell me why you westernised people always read meanings (sometimes stupidly) to every innocent thing that everyone does. |
kryptix:sorry, I just saw a few of your last posts and I have an idea of what your background might be like. I also wonder why you are thinking of going back to Nigeria now. Some Nigerians have good memories. ![]() |
kryptix:How old are you? where are you from? You call people hypocrites for not wanting to marry prostitutes? Your love for prostitute does not have to mean every other person loves prostitutes! |
madamkoko:Those guys cant be graduates. The kind of grammar I read in some of their mails are outrageous |
The embarrassment caused to Nigeria by these people is too much. They make you hesitate to wave the green passport |
Mustay:he he he |
We have not suffered in Nigeria. when we really suffer, we will stop allowing these same group of people ride rough-shod over us |
This Thor sounds like one of those people who are yet to be granted refugee status and they will do anything to discredit their nation. @Thor, what do you have to say about British people eat blood? People eat antelopes in North Dakota as well some eat crocs etc |
Hebrews 6 10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. |
1 John 3 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 19 This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence 20 whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 24 Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. 1 Cor 8 9 Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if anyone with a weak conscience sees you who have this knowledge eating in an idol's temple, won't he be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols? 11 So this weak brother, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. 12 When you sin against your brothers in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to fall. |
You are all invited to come and drink a bottle of Pepsi each in celebration. make we wash am |
jessica, you dey here? |
Will those eminently qualified people really make any difference if they were appointed?, i'm considering the Nigerian factor now It seems that the Nigerian system has a way of bringing the devil out of anyone. Therefore, I submit that whoever may be appointed to that Supreme Court will become just like the others. Sorry about my pessimsm ![]() |
Considering the fact that there are many lesbians in Britain these days, many of them would be applying to work in the immigration service as they get the chance to sexually molest other women with the force of the law behind them. |
landis:they did not want to get deported at that point. . . not after spending a lot of money in buying tickets. I wonder what would be said if Nigerian officials do same to British people |
If common men can be robbed without fear, same should go for Yar adua. The things is. . .they dont use that to think about what the average man must be going thruogh |
That's what we'll get when we expect politicians to spend heavily before we vote for them. The only people who can actually please Nigerians before elections are those who have looted in the past; hence we get the kind of politicians we deserve |
Warning - while you were reading 21 new replies have been posted. You may wish to review your post. I cant see the footie. . . just some athletics |
Nairaland in being invaded by agents of . . . I dont know ![]() |
This is what we get, in the long run, when we think that children should be allowed to do what they like and copy what adults do; when we dont control our children because we think it is old-fashioned; when we think old values are wrong and it is alright for every child to try and be whatever they see ebing done on TV by some loose West Indians. These dance forms which I have only seen with West Indians (especially Jamaicans) are slowly creeping into Africans now. You see some African girls trying to do same as if it's the proper thing to do. Every parent needs to control their children |
FBS:I think if you substitute America for Russia in your post, you'll see it makes little or no difference. My point is that they are both the same- bullies. |
That man na mumu. He go invade South Ossetia. Make he go ask Argentina wetin Britain do over Falklands |
Idiots cant reason straight. There are several hundreds of thousands of people who need decent housing, clothing and shelter but these people chose to waste money on something that benefits no one. They think it's a way of getting the attention of movers and shakers in America. Is it any wonder that Nigeria is in such a comatose state? |
Is this game online anywhere? |
@bluesteps The primary duty of believers on earth is to spred the gospel. The only miracles that are supposed to ALWAYS follow every preaching/teaching of the word of God is the salvation of souls When people always seek the miraculous, it only shows that they have no faith in God and that they cant believe God without seeing some physical signs I did not see anywhere where any apostle organised a service of miracles to perform wonders. They went about teaching the word of God and God confirmed the preaching with miracles. More often than not, miracles happened in the normal course of day to day life. Not when they had a miracle services |
I dont know about these men and women but it strikes me as though there's something about nurses in America which makes them drive their husbands into murderous rages. BTW other nationalities also murder their spouses severally so this should not be a Nigerian bashing time |
kola oloye:Is there anyone here old enough to know the story of a guy who cut his manhood in Ibadan (I think) several years ago because he claimed it was getting him to sin ![]() |
I think that is a magnificient edifice. I met the Bishop once, several years ago when he was still in Kaduna and I was in Unilag and I was impressed with his deep devotion to God. I am not a member of his church now but i still respect him BTW, being on Guinness book of world records is not always necessarily to God's glory as it does not determine the presence of God or lack of it |
Dis Guy:If there is real suffering in Nigeria, the people will not mind being killed/sacrificed to make the Nation better. The nations enjoying now did not get there without some people making sacrifices |
