On the whole, I am not an apostle of Chris Oyahkilome but if you must criticise, you should make it objective. I really do not like this message of signs and wonders being preached these days.

We had 2 days of christian meetings here recently and because we had someone who had a gift of dream interpretation, lots of people attended on the first evening. The service was a normal teaching service where we had great exposition and practical points from the guest speaker.
Guess what? The next evening, the hall was not filled - simply because there were no visible miracles. It was shocking. Christianity is about the word of God and not just about signs because signs can be deceitful as we know that satan also has signs and wonders.

That is why Nigeria is the way it is despite churches in almost every 2/3 houses. The word of God does not seem to have a place in the hearts of Nigerians. They only go to church for miracles and to seek material wealth. Millions of christians on Sunday but none on Monday when they back to to work. They are only interested in their pockets during the week.

This shows what kind of man Dr Olusols Saraki is. How does a man allow 2 of his children to make a public mockery of the family. Maybe his past is catching up with him and his children and children's children may well suffer humiliation as a result of all the evil that the man has brought upon common citizens of Nigeria, especially Kwara indigenes.

That was absolute madness and this is the kind of thing we get when we allow all the immorality from abroad to get into our heads. These children are too small to devise these things themselves but they must have seen their parents and others doing these kind of things.
How on earth does anyone in their right mind allow such horrible nonsense to be what their children have learnt? What will these children be able to contribute to the world as they grow up?

It's a recipe for disaster

Thus we have laws to curb people from such activities with penalties of imprisonment and other sorts of punishment. The key word here is antisocial activity. Again I repeat how does a consensual relationship between two adults of the same sex translate to antisocial behaviour? Would it be better if a homosexual pretends to be straight and lives an unfulfilling life with a heterosexual partner? Also again why does the image of homosexuality seem to be sexual intercourse between a man and an underage boy, is it not homosexuality if two females are in a relationship or funnier still if you have same sex relationships with no sexual intercourse involved?

Truely one may argue that homosexuality is not a commonplace as heterosexuality but if the practice is not detrimental to society what's the point in dragging it down.

We should also have laws with penalties of imprisonment etc to curtail the activities and spread of sodomy.
The practice is detrimental to society because it is unnatural and it works directly against procreation

My belief is that the motive for wearing thong is what is important.
It does not matter whether or not a woman wears a thong: most important is her mind. If her mind is renewed, she wont be dressing up to just to be sexually attractive to the world. (if she wants to be attractive for her husband, it is a different matter altogether).

If we go too far, we'll start condemning people for everything without considering what God actually expects of us. God is more interested in our hearts.

I still dont understand why women like to have children for men who are clearly irresponsible or at worst, they should have a discussion with men before leaving themselves open to pregnancy.

I would rather than women keep their bodies till they are ready for procreation, which should be after marriage. If you have a baby for a man who has no part in your life, why do you think he will be more interested simply because you decided to have a child for him? Try and get realistic

Assuming homosexuals choose to be homosexual one may have cause to question the "naturalness" of their way of life. However most are naturally attracted to the same sex and can argue that God made them that way. Why then would other "straight" people feel cause to question them. Also the fact that a man or woman may not have sex with members of the same sex does not make them straight. There are probably some amongst the people posting vitriolic replies here that may have closet feelings for the same sex and hide the feelings due to the inappropriateness of the life style in Nigeria. Lastly the comment about young boys is funny because it must assume homosexuality = male paedophilia. I wonder how that came about.

God is a long suffering God

I am sure I am going to heaven because God says so in His word and God can NEVER lie.

I also think we should focus more on Christ than on self.
However, if we are having problems it is very difficult not to focus on them. We need the help of the Holy Spirit to keep our minds stayed on God and our focus firmly on the Lord Jesus.

O Lord, I pray that you will help me, by your Spirit, to keep my focus on Jesus, the Shepherd of my soul. Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that you will help me to remove every obstacle and every thing that engages my mind and prevents me from having Jesus as my principal focus in Jesus' name.

If you will believe you will see the glory. Again, those who will have a breakthrough must be hard working. They must also be great givers. Abraham was a great giver. He was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. The widow of Zarepath has her last meal to Elijah obediently. She was an exceptional giver.

Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings and God appeared to him and asked him what He should do for him (II Chronicles 1:6-7). In Philippians 3:7-8, Paul said all that were gain to him he had handed over to Jesus. In I Samuel 1:24-28, Hannah gave the son God gave her back to God. Are you a great giver?

Those who will have breakthroughs must be great and tremendous worshippers. God is a Spirit and those that worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth, for He seeks such people. In I Samuel 2:1-2, Hannah worshiped God and said there is none as holy as the Lord. Do you really know how to worship God? Are you addicted to worship and praising God? You are then a candidate for blessings. Take the steps outlined in today’s devotional story and you will be blessed.

You guys should realise it's almost always going to be difficult to live with another man's children as if they are yours. The children are not likely to accept you as their father if they are stubborn and intelligent; this may lead to frictions.

I cant marry a single parent. If I was a single parent, I wont have any qualms about it but I will never advise a single young man to marry a single mother because he is creating problems for himself from the beginning of his life (except if he has ulterior motives for marrying the single mother)

Minorities set to be US majority

Population projections are subject to a variety of factors
White people of European descent will no longer make up a majority of the US population by the year 2042 - eight years sooner than previous estimates.

The big change is among Hispanics and Asians, whose numbers are expected to double by the middle of the century to form 30% and 9% of the population.

It is projected that black people will account for 15%, a small increase.

The US Census Bureau's latest projections are based on birth, death and current immigration rates.

According to the bureau's statistics, ethnic and racial minorities will become the majority by 2042 and account for 54% of the population by 2050.

The process of change has been speeded up through immigration and higher birth rates among US minorities, especially Hispanics.

Non-Hispanic whites, who now make up 66% of the population, will account for 46% by the middle of the century.

'Ageing baby boomers'

It has long been said that the US is a nation of immigrants but in the past the influx has mainly come from white Europeans, the BBC's Jonathan Beale reports from Washington.

"The white population is older and very much centred around the ageing baby boomers who are well past their high fertility years," William Frey, a demographer at the Brookings Institution think tank, told the Associated Press.

"The future of America is epitomised by the young people today. They are basically the melting pot we are going to see in the future."

The Census Bureau points out that its projections are subject to big revisions, depending on immigration policy, cultural changes and natural or man-made disasters.
