Christianity EtcRe: Why Are Some Christians Poor? by dudubobo1: 11:03am On Aug 27, 2008
Romans 8: 35-39

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or unclothedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
   "For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Neither money nor lack of it can seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord

I think we should model our lives after this pattern:

Phillipians 4: 11- 13

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I am stil finding it difficult to comprehend what your
arguement is about. In one sentence could you tell me
what your point is?
First, I'm not here to argue so I dont have any argument here.
Second, i dont have to add anything to what I wrote there. If you have specific questions with regards to what I wrote, you should ask them.

Thank you

If the money was made iin a genuine way, who do u blame that the other guy has no money in his account.
i am not an advocate of laziness and neither am i telling you that brother shdnt help one another, however, please stop this nonesensical idea of "it is wrong to be rich" without money, even the gospel can't be preached.
I have never been one to say that it's worng to be rich. However i dont subscribe to the substitution of materialism for christianity. Christ did not call me into materialism but into freedom through Spirit. I dont care about what anybody has but I dont like anyone telling people that if they are believers, they cannot have needs.

Laziness is a different matter; the bible is clear on that.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Are Some Christians Poor? by dudubobo1: 4:56pm On Aug 26, 2008

I agree with you, that it is not just about material, but with so much other stuff added to it, the dsciple said, Silver and Gold i have not, because they don't have it, but even Jesus made a fish to give money, heaven we have been told is street of gold, so God will never want us to be poor, the bible said, the wealth of the unbleivers will be given to the faithful ones, so what are you talking about.
Laziness is one of the reasons why some christians are poor, like when some ought to be at office, they will be at achurch, and the bible says, the hands that doesnt eat, should not eat.
The fact that Jesus did not have an abundance of money locked up somewhere should be instructive. God will always provide for our needs without our greed.

Heaven is golden. . .heaven was created by God to be that way and we seek to go to heaven. Do we want to take over the power of creation from God by trying to create heaven on earth? or do we want to make the world our own heaven?
This world is not my heaven. Thank God Almighty I can look forward to heaven without thinking that I'm already in heaven in the midst of this corrupt world
Christianity EtcRe: Why Are Some Christians Poor? by dudubobo1: 4:52pm On Aug 26, 2008
God is more than able to provide for every one of our needs. However, we are always jumping to do things for ourselves and we have allowed greed to creep into the church. Why would someone have several millions in his account while his brother hardly has enough to feed or clothe himself?  angry
Christianity EtcRe: Why Are Some Christians Poor? by dudubobo1: 4:48pm On Aug 26, 2008
Is the Faith all about materialism?

The book of Acts should be our guide because that should set an example as to how we need to conduct ourselves as Christians.

Acts 3: 6 -
Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."
Acts 2: 42 - 47

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

HELL YEAH!!!!! all those who fall for Nigerian scams are greedy as hell. I remember one lady in houston left her five kids at home to marry some Nigerian man who told her to send 200,000 dollars so he could make the wedding arrangements. Of course when she came, the man was gone. And CPS took her kids.

That is why when i watch "I go chop you dollar" by Nkem Owoh with what some of what he says and laugh.
Is this not stupidity or at best her ploy to use and manipulate a guy she thought might help her out of her own loneliness?

She should be charged for stupidity or attempt to take advantage of a downtrodden man tongue
CareerRe: 60% Of Bankers To Lose Their Jobs? by dudubobo1: 10:56am On Aug 26, 2008
There's nothing unusual about this. It happens in kost industries and in almost every country. If you're in a sales job, you have targets to hit and if you consistently fail to hit your targets, how do you expect the company to continue to fund your position?

It's a tough and harsh world

@Lepashadi, calm down o. I also studied in Scotland and I'm not ready to go back to naija yet. Some people will go back but not everyone is ready to go back. Everyone is at a different stage in their lives.
My wife wanted us to stay in naija but she decided that we should stay here after being in naija for only 3 months and seeing the way things are done there. Let's face it, it things are good nobody needs to be told to return to their country.

If Governor will not be too busy enforcing Chairmen on Councils and will rather put proper infrasctrucures in place, people will start returning home.

i'm used to jumping in the car at any time of the day or night; why would I want to go to live in a place where I will start living like a prisoner just for fear of armed robbers? or a place where I need generators to power electricity? let's be realistic; if you are used to driving BMW, you're not likely to enjoy driving a banger suddenly and you are not likely to make a conscious decision to dump your BMW and get a banger.

Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Indirectly Sending Message To Nigerians. by dudubobo1: 12:07pm On Aug 22, 2008
Respect is earned and Nigeria has surely not earned respect in the international community. However, there are times when you demand respect just because it might prop you up a little more. Nigerians never demand respect because they always throw themselves down and believe they should always be bottom of the pile in everything.

If you believe you are always supposed to be bottom of the pile, you're never likely to lift yourself out of it.

It's time we start demanding a little respect; hopefully we'll want to live up to what we are demanding and therefore change our ways

Do you have any evidence that miracles performed at his gatherings are not veriafiable?

I understand, and agree with, your point about not just seeking miracles but actually seeking God. However, I dont agree that publicing anything done in God's name is against the word of God. We are actually to go and publish/spread it
Christianity EtcRe: Can A Christian Marry More Than One Wife? by dudubobo1: 11:52am On Aug 22, 2008
God's word is clear on this.
Why should any man want trouble in his life by having more than one wife anyway? it's nothing short of stupidity to decide to have more than one wife, except if you dont want to love the women wholeheartedly. You cant love more than one person wholeheartedly

hahhahhahahahhahahhahahahh for u being so stupid
i work with people like u. i send people like u to jail.
i defend the rights of those that cannot defend themselves;children, elderly, sick.
i take offense when someone thinks that molestation is just a joke.
where am from, we take it seriously, and for the rest of your life, u would have been be a registered sex offender--u can't work or live near kids. (where is that on the planet earth?)
it hits a nerve when u or anybody thinks that child molester or a rapist should go free whereas the child or the person being raped has to go through emotional trauma.
nobody should kill anybody, but there are d/f ways that u could deal with a child molester or a rapist.
in naija, they would probably bail themselves out of the prisons and live a normal live. that is when the jungle justice comes in.
am all out for that jungle justice in naija. but for another country that i know that they will pay the ultimate price, hand them over to the authorities.

as for dudu-bobo
i live, drink, sleep computer because it is my job.
i can't survive without it
don't just open your rat-hole for anything that comes out of it because it will get u into trouble someday in this life.
children are God's gift, please don't mess them up.they are just too innocent.
there is a God that watches over kids and elderly specifically.
when you have found out what your own rights are, you can start fighting for them and for your children in your struggle against their enstraged fathers. All the you have used in your past will cry against you before God. . . any wonder your life is so miserable?
Read your posts again. . . do they not show the incoherence and mish mash that your brain is?

Go back to your shrink as you are yet to recover from the visions of your past and they still haunt you everytime you see your children from different men.

u have such a low and a little mentality.
thank God that am not even looking because i would rather die before marrying a naija.
my kids can feed u and your family
and my hubby can feed your entire state and give u a better paying job.
you will die in your misery and depression.
You mindset is very obvious to all and sundry. You think that your fatherless children's earnings concern anybody. No naija will marry you anyway. Naija men are too smart to be taken in by any nonsense from an ex-poms. If your children are richer than my state and my country, please tell them to buy you peace and joy for your miserable life. bloody depressed and psychotic loser

The way you post here shows the way your mind works; not just the content but the arrangements as well. You need help so go and find yourself a shrink and while you're at it, dont try to seduce the shrink as well.
Even your children will curse you when they grow up for the way you chose to live your life. BTW dont think naija boys will take you because you have come with foreign currency o. That trip you want to take to naija to find a man is definitely going to be a fruitless one. The way you laid your life's foundation is the way you're laying on it with misery and sadness. you never thought your past would catch up with you; now you have yourself to blame
