In the above narrative animals are "engineered" into having different characteristics just by watched striped branches as they mated. Is this "technology" still available for farmers today? Can it be applied to humans as well? If not, why not?

We can't scientifically prove the thought process but YET we believe that it exists because in your heart you know that you think and believe that everyone else has the capacity to think . . . juxtapose that with the existence of God.

You can't be bleating about science when it comes to God and then huff and puff when it comes to simple matters like critical thinking.

I asked you a question and instead of answering, in trying to dodge the question you gave me a task to do and I did it. Proofs are done by either deduction or induction and that is why definition of a term is important.

You asked me to prove the existence of thoughts and it is such a simple proof, it is virtually self proving, a simple proof by deduction is as follows.

A simple definition of thought is "the process that leads to decision making in man".

men make decisions (established fact),
If men make decisions, then men think (from the definition)
If men think, then thoughts exist (from deduction).

I then went ahead to point out to you the connection made between thoughts and the brain by scientists.

If my proof of the existence of thoughts was not good enough for you, you would only have pointed out the fallacies in my proof or in my definition instead of going totally rabid.

I guess you were asking me to prove the existence of thoughts to you by showing it to you like a film to prove that thoughts exist but it is such a silly question,  firstly because noone said thoughts are like films and secondly because it beggars beleive that an intelligent matured adult could think of such a question. The only person you would need to prove the existence of thoughts to is someone who doesn't think and I wonder why you would need to prove the existence of thoughts to such an individual.

I can concievably think of a way to prove the existence of God (or at least make it impossible to disprove the possibility of his existence) with this simple proof. (Which funny enough is why I never say for a certainty that God does not exist, infact I beleive in God but not out of fear the way you do and I never claim to be able to prove it.)

Whatever begins to exist has a cause for its existence.
The Universe began to exist.
Therefore the Universe has a cause for its existence.

To prove however that he is the God of the bible is a different matter entirely because I can think of no way by which you could do that without commiting an obvious fallacy of some sort.

Firstly I never even claimed to know anything about thoughts but funny thing is, I have proven the existence of thoughts (in my own manner) to someone already on this forum and she has not replied since, but since your intelligence seems to have departed you even to the point of understanding what is written, I will explain to you again. It is all about the definition Thoughts are defined as the process that occurs within humans that lead to decision makin, you are not creating a new concept, you are only defining what already exists, you can even give it a new name just like the yorubas call it ironu (which it seems you don't do much of). Some scientists have gone ahead to measure electrical activity in the brain that occurs during thinking to prove that thoughts occur within the brain. If you are still so dumb you don't understand this, could you define the definition of thoughts you are talking about. It would amaze you to know the depth of research that has gone into how the brain works, the process of thinking, the links between synapses and memory, conditioned response and all that stuff.

Science cannot argue and does not argue against what already exists and its effects can be felt as that is an absurdity in itself. Only a lunatic would deny the existence of thoughts or you are infering that you don't beleive in the existence of thought? so that I can send you to the nearest assylum.

Kuns, christianity is based on Jesus as is revealed in the bible and through the Holy Ghost. there are many other religions that have similar or not so similar stories from creation to the present but since we follow Jesus and the bible says he was crucified it's what we accept. it wouldn't be christianity anymore if we accept any other because his death is one of the fundamental doctrines of christianity.

Where exactly did you get the picture of that stone? even without Radio carbon dating I'm a bit suspicious of that stone as it looks a bit too smooth and well preserved IMO and remember that people often falsify archeological research both from the Atheist camp and the religious camp, but let us assume that the stone was truly found what does that tell us?

I'm sure yu will gleefully jump to the conclusion that it proves the existence of Jesus  because that is what people who clutch at straws do but it actually proves nothing of the sort because the Names James, Joseph and Jesus were popular names in biblical times(at least I know that Joseph and Jesus which is a version of Joshua must have been popular names because of the important early jewish figures who bore those names) so it is not impossible that a family could have had people bearing those 3 set of names. I will still go ahead and agree with you that it is referring to the same Jesus what does that then tell us?

It still in no way confirms that he was the son of God, worked all the miracles we heard about, died and ressurected. The chain leads on and on and on fraught with uncertainties and probabilities that I'm sure even you if you truly have any aptitude to appreciate logical reasoning can see this but you are too blinded by religious belief.
Please be sincere with yourself, nothing can prove what you are trying to prove. As some of your people here have noted, it is based on belief and has nothing to do with fact but you are just too full of yourself to acknowledge that.

I'll build  a basic probability chain for you of both our arguments.

For your religion to be the only way that guarantees salvation as you preach to us
1. God must exist and           1/2
2.  he must be the God of the Bible and     1/3
3. Jesus must be his son        1/2

If we should assign probabilities to these and assume that in stage 1, there are only two choices(evolution and creation) then yu get a probability of 1/2. At stage 2, you get probably a probability of 1/300 (if you consider all the choices of Gods and religion available), but I will be so lenient and give you 1/3, at stage 3, if we count only Judaism and Christianity as proceeding from the old testament, then you get another 1/3.
So a rough (and grossly God of the bible biased) probability that you are right is 1/2 *1/3 *1/2 = 1/12

My stand is very simple,
1. God may or may not exist
2. God may or may not be the God of the bible
3. Jesus may or may not be his son

At every stage I get a 1 because I rather take the position that no one can prove any of those stages and I do have those that I consider as being more plausible but I lay no claim to being able to prove them in any way so the burden of proof lies with you.

Now, the floor is yours you can go ahead and prove why I need to beleive in your God or why your choice is more logical than mine.
If you can succeed then I will become a born again christian tomorrow, infact just like the children of Israel did to Moses I will even allow you to be representative of God for me.
But if you cannot, then you must agree with me that there is a very distinct probability that what you beleive is false and that all you have is "Belief" which cannot in anyway be validated.

Fallin in love is overrated as love could mean a lot of things. The Greek concept of love would make for an interesting study with their eros, phileo, agapao e.t.c definitions of different types of love. Which one exactly are you talking about?

To answer the poster's question, Yes you can always catch yourself before you fall in love and in fact you can do more than that, you can actually fall out of love when you so desire to do as the power of decision and choice is in every human (who doesn't have other mental defects) from birth but societal conditioning either reduces it substantially or almost takes it away from you in certain instances.
