Keep Song on the bench for what? Are the guys on the bench feeling lonely? grin

If he is fit, he must play. When we're playing Orient, then put him on the bench. This same Wolves have beaten Chelski, Utd and Citeh so underestimating them would be a grave mistake.

Just read a funny post about Wenger/Duduspace's plan for Arsenal.

Subject: RE: Arsene's Flawless Plan

Arsene's Strategy to Dominate English Football in the Years to Come:

1) Wait for Fergie to retire.

2) Wait for the Chelsea squad to get old and break up.

3) Wait for the Middle East to run out of oil and money thus bringing Man City's reign to an end.

Then we will dominate and our patience will have been rewarded.

grin grin grin grin
The guy miss am plenty, It is all about getting our youth policy working. A 5 year gestation period (at the top end) is not too high a price. The only thing we didn't do was fall off badly like Liverpool and that is thanks mostly to Arsene and the board.

Now we can be sustainable and competitive like Barca is trouncing Real Madrid now despite Madrid outspending them every year, even if Arsene leaves, the Academy culture will remain provided the club doesn't get bought up by Usmanov or Kroenke. If Abramovic and the Sheikhs want to keep spending their money we no vex, we will keep smiling to the bank and winning trophies starting from this years Carling Cup hopefully.

It is easier to say I told you so when everyone is gloomy than to say it when everyone is happy.  tongue

Abeg let's talk purposefully abeg.
Now that Song, Diaby and Denilson are unavoidably absent, what will our midfield look like in the next two games.
Song and Denny ain't ruled out are they? one can only hope they are fit by Saturday, Prince Nas if I recall is also a quick healer and shld be back soon, we just need Rozza to put in 1 or 2 shifts for us, the opposition isn't really scary and we've got home games, my worry is only those thugs from Stoke.

For once I see some strategic moves from our boys coming up with all sorts of flu and stomach bugs so they miss this senseless internationals.  grin grin
seems the boys really want to win something this season, they are really coming of age.

I'm not sure about the pushing, I thot it was a red for violent conduct and that shld be 3 cards except the law has changed as they seem to be changing nowadays cos I thot Squill wld be out for 3 games too.

Just saw Ryo Miyaichi's debut for Feyenoord and I'm wishing he gets his work permit in time for next season, he looks impressive and ran the show, very direct player, he shld fit the PL well.

This part I disagree with, we should be taking maximum advantage over our rivals when the opp. presents itself. Sometimes I wonder if the boss and the boys believe in themselves enough  undecided
It goes both ways, none of our direct rivals got a red card neither did they get such dodgy refreeing. Yu cld even say that Chelsea shld have been bouyed by their recent 70m splurge, all matches won't be like this and its been a while the team has fallen apart in such a manner. If they did that every weekend, we wldn't be only 4 points off Manure who remained unbeaten till yesterday.
Considering that no one counted us part of the title race when the season started, the team hasn't done badly at all, we are still in the thick of it.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (R.I.P Bawomolo). by duduspace(m): 8:19pm On Feb 06, 2011
spot on assesment ifedisky, it was obvious we were being overrun at a stage before those changes once newcastle scored the first penalty the dynamics of the game changed cos they thought they cld at least reduce the deficit.

If yu're under the cosh and need to keep the ball the last 2 people yu want on the pitch are Theo and Arshavin, Theo would only run and lose the ball and yu can't trust Arshavin to track back well so Arsene's changes in that regards were spot on.

Its a bit of a pity Rosicky cldn't even do a good job in such a situation yesterday, and we all know already that we might never again see the brilliant player we once had, its about time for Henri Lansbury to finally get his chance and if we don't start integrating him from next season, we run the risk of losing a player who has proved himself at the top end of the championship at 20 years of age, he might not be as skillful as Rosicky but he more than makes up for it with hustle.

Another prime candidate is Coquelin, bring in any of those 2 into the MF next season and push Wilshere further upfield to compete for a Wing forward position which I'm very sure he can play, coupled with some cameos in Cesc's role for less important games and injury backup and his growth as a player shld progress nicely.

The only good thing is that after everything that went wrong, we still gained a point against all our direct rivals and if this is as bad as it gets this season, then there is a lot to be optimistic about.

The team is a testimony that good football actually pays!

I remember they use to call Ronaldo (fat Ronaldo that is) extra terrestial, well me thinks Messi is the extra - terrestial. That guy is outta this world. Considering he is not the 'top 9' for Barca - 112 goals in 163 games!!!

I honestly feel that we have a chance with them though with our first team fit at least at the Emirates. Im really looking forward to the game.
Good football is the way forwrd, no matter what anyone says, I would never like to see Arsenal become a JM type team

The most amazing thing about Messi IMO is that he looks quite ordinary, the chap is just 5' 7 FFS, he and Diego just have unbelievable footballing ability, yu cld look at people like Van Basten, Ronaldo, Drogba and consider their height and physique and feel they had some unique physical advantages to get goals but for Messi, its all just about the mastery of the ball.

We'll give them a good test, player for player they may be better and we are yet to win major trophies playing this system so they have a massive advantage but we are the only other club at the top end who don't sacrifice our footballing principles in trying to adapt to an opponents game, we are very likely to lose but it will be yet another exhibition of beautiful football.

who else is worried at the rate Barca (Messi) is destroying all comers in the La Liga?
Don't look too far ahead proudly9ja, any team that Barca team beats should just take it on the chin and move on, that team is going to be remembered like the great teams of the past. The debate at present is which team is better in this Barca team and the Galacticos and I'm sore tempted to pick this team. As long as the boys turn up and don't just roll over on the day then I'm satisfied whatever the outcome.
37 goals in 31 games by Messi  shocked shocked shocked can yu just imagine that? what ability and what consistency.

Not sure why they always talk such trash, is it cos they believe so much in this their thuggish game that has kept them from winning anything since 1966 or is it just cos they hate The Arsenal?  undecided
How someone cannot see anything wrong in that tackle beats me, yu cld actually see Diaby's bones bend in the slow mo, horrendous, he is lucky to have walked off the pitch himself, we coulda had another Ramsey moment.

This football game sef dey tire person, I was almost 100% certain that the ref and assistants were being deliberately malicious and then I saw that offside call for their goal with Rosicky playing that chap on and couldn't believe my eyes.

Still thinkingg how fantastic it would have been if we held on to our victory Today. 4 goals comeback too much abeg.
Everything that could go wrong went wrong.

1. Djorou going off to injury or whatever it was
2. Diaby having a blood rush to the head and almost throttling Barton, for the first time Barton was scared of someone and I thot I saw him saying 'E joo sir' to Diaby grin grin  grin
3. Song couldn't come in to help hold the ball in MF
4. Ref's calls did us no favours at all

Bad day, hope the boys learn like Debo said and not make things more difficult for themselves, but I almost think we were lucky to escape with a draw.

Unbelievable. . . .first Diaby and then the referee.

I am speechless right now.
Diaby wasn't smart, he turned what should have been an advantage into a disadvantage. He should have just stayed on his back and rolled around a bit and maybe the ref wouldnt have had no choice than to give Barton at least a yellow. I no blame am sha, he has been a victim of one too many of those kinda tackles
These Refs and Assistant refs seem to have an agenda against us this season, if the first peno was marginal, the 2nd was unbelievable.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Is Arsene Wenger A Magician? by duduspace(m): 1:05am On Feb 05, 2011
@1025
No one can say for certain who will get injured and who won't, the only thing one can say about us this season is that we are better equipped to cope with injuries, for example Chamakh who led our line well in the earlier part of the season can't seem to get a game now with the other strikers fit, Vermaelen our best defender from last season also has been out for about 3 months now and we've coped quite well.
Even Captain Fantastic has only started 20 games after earlier injuries while the likes of Wilshere who was out on loan have started 28 games and we're still active in all competitions.
